Karen was raised in New Jersey and as a teenager began studying violin seriously. She earned a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from Ithaca College. While living in St. Louis, MO, she was the leader of the Canterbury String Quartet which played many venues such as the Old Courthouse doing a special Thomas Jefferson program and for numerous weddings and special events. Karen has played with Music for the Moment for many years. She recently took over the business from the founder, Deena Leff. Karen performs with many local orchestras and teaches violin and viola. Playing weddings always reminds Karen of her own wedding and how happy she was that day. (And ever since!)
