Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I think all photographers prefer beautiful natural light, but that doesn't always happen, and there is likely not a lighting situation that I haven't dealt with at this point! I am well-versed in using a small flash to compensate for less-than-perfect lighting situations (along with my human light stand - er, assistant!), and can even bring full location lighting equipment for the couple who prefers more dramatic portraits.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I am 100% fully digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
At present I am the heart and soul of my business, although I will always have an assistant on hand until the reception to help make the day run smoothly, to help with portraits, and to act as a backup photographer during crucial times.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely. I want to meet clients ahead of time, discuss their tastes and styles, and be the one to deliver that for them.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No - I limit myself to one wedding per weekend. Wedding days are long and a lot of work for everyone involved, and it would not be fair to a couple to not be well-rested and ready to be their photographer!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I have several professional acquaintances who can step into my place in case the worst happens to me. But rest assured that they are only there in case I become incapacitated, not to replace me at my whim.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I shoot with professional Canon digital cameras and top of the line lenses. Image quality matters.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, I always have an extra camera body, batteries, and memory cards with me!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I offer a flat-rate, full-day package.
Do you charge for travel?
I do not charge for travel within a 90 mile radius of Gainesville, FL. Outside of that, travel is assessed on a case by case basis.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Initial proofs will be available on a beautiful, personalized, password-protected website approximately one week after your wedding day. I will provide you and your guests with all the information you need to see them as soon as they are posted!
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Proof websites are available for two months after the wedding, with an option to extend availability for a fee.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I grant the couple unlimited personal usage license to the high-resolution images and retain copyright myself.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, I provide the couple with a DVD of the high-resolution edited images.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I can work with a couple to design and provide high-quality albums from a variety of providers. My preferred vendor is Asukabook.
