Tips and Advice
When choosing a wedding videographer, I highly recommend meeting with them. Personalities play a major role in the effective capturing of your day on video. I have found more often than not, I gain a friend in my clients and stay in touch with them long after the wedding is over.

Ask what type of equipment your videographer uses. If he/she can give you a detailed account, then most likely they also know how to effectively use their equipment. There are many variables in video that someone without professional training can easily miss - and result in a poor video. And be sure to let your videographer know the type of setting you'll be in. Outdoor weddings offer very different lighting challenges than an indoor church wedding. And a dimly lit reception hall can absolutely ruin a great video.

When planning your wedding, keep in mind that lighting is probably the one most important factor in having great video. Many brides want to create an "intimate" setting at their reception with very low overhead lighting and candles at the tables. This looks great to the human eye - but can wreak havoc with a camera lense. Be sure to talk about all these factors with your videographer.
