John and I shared a very special relationship in the process of planning the flowers and bouquets. He is a brilliant artist who has an appreciation for doing very unique pieces. I have a rather non traditional view of flowers and arrangements. We were able to easily work together and he created stunning arrangements for our wedding! We wanted simple and unique arrangements of rusty red and orange flowers with a lot of texture and greenery. He put my favorite flower, tiger lilies, as the primary flower in my bouquet and flanked those with cream dahlias, lotus seed pods, lots of rosemary, copper wire curls, and many other interesting yet elegant flowers and greenery. For the center pieces for the ceremony and reception, he used similar seed pods, flowers, and even some horse tail grass! The Boutonnires were just beautiful. They were simple yet elegant with a sprig of wheat and rosemary surrounded by a copper wire. The womens' corsages were done in green cymbidium orchids.
Not only was he very easy to work with in person, he had a lot of patience in communicating with me and my husband via email and over the phone. He was so sweet and attentive to my desires that I was always very calm whenever we discussed the arrangements with him. He personally delivered the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnires to my hotel room so we would have them for the photos. He then painstakingly set up all the flowers at the reception and ceremony. He did an amazing job, we could not have asked for a better florist. We were so impressed by his creative genius and his thoughtfullness.
