The greatest tip I could possibly give any bride and groom when selecting a photographer is to choose one based on style, not by price alone. I know price is a very important factor to almost anyone (it certainly is to me,) but if you don't absolutely love the photos in the photographer's portfolio then you aren't going to love the ones from your own wedding. If you can't find a photographer whose photos you love within your price range, either keep looking for another photographer or, perhaps, change your price range. One other option you may want to try is contacting the photographer personally and see if there's something you can work out with them that isn't on their published price list. You may be suprised to find that many wedding photographers have a passion for their art to the degree that the price sheet is more of a guide than something set in stone.
