About
FritzPro Music, Inc. is a full-service custom music company dedicated to wedding and events music.  We love our brides and grooms and take great pride in providing you with music that fits you personally rather than trying to fit you into a prefabricated mold.  We don’t have a "flute, violin, and cello trio" or an "oboe and guitar duo"... well, we do, but we draw our groups from a pool of musicians who play flute, clarinet, oboe, guitar, bass, violin, cello, vocals and other instruments as well.  You listen to some samples of what we do and then decide what you like so that we can custom design a group that fits you perfectly!  We also have groups that can perform both beautiful classical music and upbeat Frank Sinatra-style jazz with the same people so that the same group can play both the ceremony and the cocktail hour before the reception... all for one package price!

Although there are limitations to the groups we can produce, there are also many, many combinations that you may not have even thought possible.  Talk with us and see where your imagination takes you!  We take special requests for the ceremony and are also very happy to play non-traditional music selections if you’d like to further personalize your ceremony.  We have played everything from strictly traditional to completely jazz or rock and roll weddings, and numerous combinations of all three!

Frequently Asked Questions for Band
What is the size of your band?
Medium (4-6 musicians), Small (1-3 musicians)

What music genre does your band play?
Acoustic, Big Band, Jazz, Orchestra, Strings, Swing

What is your band's usual attire?
Tuxedo for men, formal black for women. We are happy to honor requests for other attire (for example, coat and tie for less formal occasions).

Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
We have a demo cd as well as a website. We don't invite prospective clients to our events to preserve the privacy and sanctity of the event. When it's your turn, you will be guaranteed not to have any strangers in the back of the venue, crashing your wedding and distracting your musicians.

Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Yes, we will purchase and learn up to 3 new songs at no additional charge.

How much time do you usually need for setup?
We like to have 1-1/2 to 2 hours even though actual setup time is only about 45 minutes. That gives us time to deal with any problems or challenges that may arise without fear of being late.

How much space do you usually require?
Depending on the group, we can fit into a space as small as 4'x8' but 8'x8' works great for the duo and trio, with a bit more to accomodate drums in the quartet and quintet. We don't stipulate a minimum space requirement because given the flexibility of our groups, we are always happy to consider any space challenges you may have and try our best to work around them.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We are just music, but do offer the use of our sound system and wireless microphones for your toasts, speeches, etc.

Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
We don't talk between songs but if you like, we are happy to serve as emcee to introduce the wedding party, and inform your guests when various activities (1st dance, cake cutting, etc.) are about to begin.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
The only time we require a meal is when we are playing both ceremony and complete reception and will be on site more than 6 hours. If we are playing only the reception or only ceremony/cocktails, we don't require meals of any kind although we do appreciate access to non-alcoholic beverages.

Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes we do.

What is your overtime rate?
$60.00 per hour or partial hour (more than 10 or 15 minutes), per person.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Our normal rate covers any venue within 35 miles of our office, which means that we travel from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach with no additional charge. Fees for travel beyond that radius are calculated on the final distance and time involved in travel. Any additional fees are discussed well before contracting and won't change after an agreement is reached, even if gas prices skyrocket. (no "fuel surcharge" as a last-minute surprise!)

Additional Questions and Answers

Do you offer any extra services during wedding ceremonies?
Yes.  We offer the use of a wireless lapel mic for your officiant during outdoor weddings at no additional charge.  We also always use a small sound system for outdoor ceremonies so that the music is rich and beautiful, just as it would be if we were playing in a concert hall or church.

If our ceremony is in an outdoor location where no power is available, will we still be able to have the sound system?
Yes you can.  Our sound system also runs without external power and is very small so is perfect for those many beautiful beach locations where there is no power handy.  At this time we do not have wireless microphones that run on batteries but if you would like to have  a wired microphone on a stand, discreetly placed, we are happy to do that for you.

Will you play non-traditional music for the ceremony?
Absolutely.  We encourage you to choose music that is meaningful to you, rather than just have what you think you should have.  We have a number of very versatile groups who can seamlessly blend together classical, pop, and/or jazz selections to create a wedding "soundtrack" that is uniquely you and utterly personal.

Tips and Advice
1. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions.  You have the right to know how long your musicians have been playing, whether or not they specialize in weddings (it really does make a difference!), or whether they plan to drink alcohol during their performance (many do and you have the right to say that it's not okay!).
2. Be sure to give your music coordinator as much information as you can so that there is no confusion or disorganization the day of your wedding.
3. if you don't feel comfortable or trust your music coordinator to keep your needs and vision in mind, don't hire him!  Make sure that you have a rapport with the person you ultimately hire so that your experience is as relaxed and happy as possible.
4. Feel free to personalize!  Your musicians should be willing to talk with you about non-traditional music choices for your ceremony.  Work with your music coordinator to make your wedding truly your own!
