Contemporary, Photojournalism
What do your packages include?
Albums, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Negatives, Prints
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Owning Adobe Photoshop, I can do just about anything. However, for the majority of my images just slight contrast and color tweaks are it. I love black and white photographer. To me, some photos just work better without color. Oh, I never charge for converting a file to B&W, Sepia or back to color. More intense work there may be a slight charge to cover my time.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have worked in a majority of odd lighting situations enough to apply what I learned then to what I am doing now.
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital all the way...
How many photographers do you work with?
Just myself, but I do have someone that could shoot with me if a client was interested in 2 photographers for their event.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes and in extreme circumstances (my car and house blew up, my parachute didnt open so I am in traction, etc), I will work with a local photographer with tons of experience and a similar style that can be bribed to cover for me. So dont worry....
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, just one wedding a day and weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
My contract states that I will make every effort to replace myself in the event I physically cannot show up.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
2 cameras, several lenses (from wide to short; from fixed focal to zooms) plus on and off camera lighting, including small portable units and larger "studio" equipment.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, of course.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Depends on the wedding package you choose.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes, I am available for overtime. My rate is cheaper if the hours are paid for in advance and not the day of the wedding.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Just one during dinner. There isnt much time for breaks in the business. Always a moment to capture.
Do you charge for travel?
Within a 45 miles of downtown Orlando, no. Outside of that there is a slight charge to cover the rising cost of gas.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Normally within 3 weeks, 15 or so images are emailed just a few days after the event. However, I do want to make sure that each image I deliver has my utmost attention so there may be times in which that time frame is not feasible. Whatever the case may be communication is at the heart of my business philosophy and you will know exactly what delays if any are occurring.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
CD-ROM, 4x6 prints in an acid free storage box and on line.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
They are theirs to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I retain the full rights to the photos, but give my clients a limited non-commercial, print and share license so that they can post to websites and blogs and reprint photos for themselves and others.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, I always ask for this right in my contract. Certainly negotiable if you are adamant about me not posting to my blog, website or using in a future advertisement.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, low resolution version capable of no larger than 4x6 prints and great to post on line. Clients can purchase the full resolution CD(s) of the images for a nominal fee.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Affordable to top of the line. Magazine style to leather bound flush mounts.
When will the client get the final album?
If an album is ordered then it should be in the clients hands in just a couple months. Almost a month of that time is with the print/binding company. During the holiday season, this time can increase.
