Describe your DJ style:
Highly Professional, Interactive. Game Master, Entertainment Director, I make sure that the day is as smooth and perfect as possible for the Best Wedding and Reception Ever!
What is your usual attire?
Tuxedo with complementary colors for the bridal party.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No, I will purchase ANY necessary music to accommodate my clients.
How many other DJs do you work with?
I am a full time Solo Performer, but I am the Secretary of the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association and have other chapter members that provide additional services.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
My services are based on a flat rate for the day for wedding receptions. All other events are a two hour minimum. Typical wedding reception requires 20 to 30 hours of prep and performance time.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Absolutely, in fact, I normally schedule from 3 to 5 meetings prior to every event. It is imperative in order to be able to provide outstanding and memorable service! Do NOT hire a DJ that will not meet with you before booking!
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
No, but able to accommodate almost any request. Recently did Bosnian, Greek, Egyptian, Polish and other unique performances.
Do you bring your own equipment?
All equipment is provided, with 100% backup of all critical gear. I bring at least 3 sets of speakers, backup amplifiers, microphones, backup computer and backup music library drive.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Special equipment is always available.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I typically arrive 4 hours prior to performance time with a target goal of being completely set up and sound checks completed 2 hours before the arrival of the first guest. I require NOTHING from the venue, but the available space and proper power within 25 feet.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Only if special lighting or extended speaker installation required.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
All Master of Ceremonies duties are included. Minimum talk between songs except to make announcements and comply with the couples wishes.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I do not eat or drink during performances, except for bottled water.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Of course!
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, professional backup always available. It has never happened since I began my business.
