The story of our wedding

My husband and I live in NYC but knew there was no where in the world we’d rather get married than Napa Valley. I am originally from the Bay Area and when we started dating it became a place near and dear to hearts, that we visited together multiple times per year. We chose to get married at Brasswood Napa Valley because of its modern aesthetic. The most important things for us in planning our wedding were to make sure that we were surrounded by all of our closest people, to have great food and drinks, and to just stay true to ourselves in doing what we wanted and not what anyone else expected. Flowers and photography were huge for me and I had an amazing planner that pulled everything together so beautifully. We chose to have a full sit down dinner before the dancing or festivities began because we personally are not a fan of the up and down at most weddings on the east coast. We wantedto hold on to that “community feel” by doing things this way and made sure to incorporate farm style tables for that reason. We chose to forego a lot of formalities, such as a wedding cake, for our own original touches. We ate freshly made mini donuts for dessert, had combined mother/son, father/daughter dances, and took 30 minutes for ourselves during dinner to take golden hour photos with our photographer to really breathe and realize we had just committed our lives to each other. We had a beyond incredible vendor team that made everything possible and walked away from our wedding day with the most perfect memories. Truly the most beautiful day of our lives.
