We started our wedding planning process at the end of 2018 intent on finding a beautiful outdoor space to celebrate with our wedding and show our friends and family the beauty of Asheville. While there are a lot of options in this area, SAHC Community Farm stood out for its natural beauty and wonderful team. Nothing felt overly "manufactured" and as hiking enthusiasts (Matt proposed on a hike!), we loved the mission of their nonprofit. It was the first venue we visited and we knew immediately that we wanted to get married there.
Fast forward 1.5 years and a pandemic later, and like many "COVID couples" we re-planned our day many times, eventually downsizing from a 120 person event to an 8-person event. Lauren and Kirin were wonderful throughout the process, and the end result was a perfect, intimate event. We put a tent over the patio space in case it rained, but got lucky with blue skies. We did our first dance under the tent and were all happy for some shade after being in the sun for the ceremony!
Continue reading »While it was far from what we imagined and we dearly missed our family and friends who were unable to travel and celebrate with us, we are so, so grateful that we were able to get married at SAHC. We can't wait to have everyone down here in another year or two when it is safe to celebrate together again!
