The story of our wedding

Griffin and I met as microbiology lab partners at UGA back in 2013. Fast forward five years and Griffin is down on one knee at a beautiful mountain overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC. The rest, so they say, is history. We went to look at Vinewood Stables as our first venue and we instantly knew that it was "the place." We fell in love with the old timey charm of the house and the beautiful pool and garden. Me being a horse girl, I was instantly drawn to the stables and it's simple, rustic feeling with the beautiful pasture behind it. They even passed our main criteria- they had to allow dogs. Our wedding was definitely not perfect- I came down with a nasty mystery illness the morning of our wedding and spent most of the day in the hospital. With some miracle and lots of medications, I was able to make it to the wedding though much later than anticipated. Everyone at Vinewood was so incredibly accomadating and worked so hard to make sure we pulled of a wedding in the time we had left. I am forever grateful we chose them as a venue, as everyone made my wedding dreams come true in less than ideal circumstances. Not to mention the planning and everything leading up to the wedding was a breeze thanks to Amy, the amazing wedding cordinator! While my wedding day was most definitely not the day of my dreams, it somehow all worked out in the end and if I could do it again I would 100% choose Vinewood all over again!
