Our story began in Montclair, NJ in the early fall of 2013. A mutual friend introduced us during one of Doug’s wild parties. We instantly felt a connection. However it wasn’t until almost a year later when we ran into each other again that we knew it was meant to be. We exchanged phone numbers and began building and sharing memories. Doug asked me to be his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day of 2014. From then on we were inseparable. Two years later on my birthday in 2016-we went out to dinner at the Charthouse in Weehawken. As the night progressed we shared laughs and smiles and I enjoyed my favorite shrimp Alfredo pasta and some delicious chocolate birthday cake. As we were heading out Doug insisted on taking a walk down the pier overlooking the Hudson night sky and city lights. Although it was chilly out I really enjoyed looking at the view. Just then Doug got on one knee and pulled out a ring leaving me speechless. My mouth flung open. Doug asked me to spend the rest of my life with him as his wife. I eagerly agreed. On that beautiful fall evening in October at the Palace At Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ our wedding took place. The day was so special, it was everything we could've hoped for and more. We couldn't have imagined such a magical day in our wildest dreams. From the wonderful floral decor, to the delicious food and atmosphere that our DJ created. We truly had the time of our lives. We both agreed that our favorite moment of the wedding was when we jumped the broom and offically became husband and wife. The sparklers and photobooth were all the rave in addition to the energy of the bridal party. Our guests danced all night and still cannot stop talking about what an amazing time they had.
