28 Apr, 2018The story of our wedding
We had a wonderful wedding day at 360 East Montauk Downs. It was a foggy but glorious day! The fog set the scene for some really cool shots off the cliff. We used Spring colors.. navy blue, blush pink with metalic accents and unique handcrafted decor made by the bride! Our theme was whimsical, charming with a vintage feel.
Our photographers were hands down the best! They caught all the little moment and expression all throughout. The wedding planner helped every step of the way and kept everything moving smoothly. Our florist spent hours crafting the hanging flowers and setting up the center pieces. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful team come through on the wedding day!!
To start, the boys cracked open some beers and the ladies popped champange and played card games. Of course, our dogs were included every step of the way! We had a trolley transport guests to the church and then take the groomsmen and finally the girls! The bridesmaids dresses were all the same style and color; a one shoulder, blush pink. The boys had a textured grey tie with navy suits. I opted to not have photos taken on me getting dressed.. felt weird!

Our wedding ceremony was performed by the family priest who has baptised and married everyone in my husbands family. It was very special!
Upon our exit to the church our wedding planner ushered me and Dan into a small room as she lined up the bridal party and guests and handed out ribbon wands. We walked through and everyone cheered! One of the best things the photographer did was in that moment, collected all the guests into one giant group photo! Which we then put on the thank you cards.. perfect!!!
Entering into the reception, we had hanging flowers flowing off the railing on the way up to the ball room(that also tied into the church and mantle flowers) and the ledges were lined with decor and hand painted love quotes on wooden signs. Our escort cards were also handmade.. I cut and spray painted little animals then placed the escort card on them! Our favors were handmade tags on two different bottle openers with different color paper flowers attched to each with a quote. There was a tribute table for our loved ones who couldn't be with us. The center pieces were made up of different sized vintage bottles with flowers in each along with different shaped candles all around. Each and every detail and handmade and unique! It was very important to me that each and every guest feel the genuine love Dan and I feel with each other everyday. I did not want a cookie cutter wedding!
We danced the night away starting with our first song Baby I Love Your Way (our DJ actually played the wrong song to start...) and we had everyone join in after about a minute! At sunset Dan and I were brought outside to saber champagne bottles with our friends. A unique surprise from one of my bridesmaids! The dancing continued non-stop the entire night!
Our day was filled with so much love and smiles from everyone who attended! We enjoyed every second of it!
