Congratulations! Your search for your wedding cake/dessert vendor has come to an end.
The Zest team is incredible to work with. We were navigating some dietary restrictions (Gluten Free, Dairy Free, etc.), and Gabriella was incredibly patient answering all of our questions. Their communication was top notch. The on-the-go tasting still involved a conversation with Gabriella at their shop, and it was informative without feeling pressured or sales-pitchy. It was a fun experience that allowed me and my husband to have a fun little picnic and taste all the yummy items.
The options available for cakes and desserts is truly incredible. There's something for every taste preference.
Some highlights: The gluten free chocolate cake was incredible. The regular chocolate was also ROCKIN' with the chocolate mousse. The red velvet was moist and the cream cheese filling had a great zing to it. The chocolate sea salt caramel tarts were a major crowd pleaser (one guest said they could die happy because they had eaten it, and it was the best thing they've ever tasted). The s'mores cookies are so unique, and the mini whoopie pies are such a fun whimsical treat. The chocolate covered strawberries also received five star reviews across the board.
Beyond taste, the team brought our vision for the cake to life. They nailed the Lambeth design from our inspo pics!
Delivery was seamless on our end as well.
Our biggest regret of the wedding is only getting a few bites of cake! We will be coming back for anniversaries to come to get some treats.
From the bottom of our hearts (and stomachs) we recommend Zest! -

Gabriella was great! We did tastings and easily picked out our favorites. She was quick to respond to emails and helped us so much! Our cupcakes were a hit, and our cake was beautiful! (I don’t have pictures yet or else I would attach one ☹️) -

Thank you so much to Gabriella and team at Zest! They created the most amazing and delicious wedding cake and mini dessert bar for our wedding 10/6/23! I cannot speak highly enough about Gabriella and Zest, from initial booking and sampling of cakes and desserts to our wedding day they did a great job and were so easy and accommodating to work with. These desserts and cake were also so good! I will be ordering more desserts from Zest in the future! Thank you all so much, everything was beyond my expectations! -

Gabriella and her team were so wonderful from start to finish. We did our cake testing during the height of COVID, and she was able to package everything up for us so we could have a to-go tasting right from our couch. There were so many amazing flavors that it was almost impossible to choose. Zest perfectly understood our vision for our wedding cake and worked with us to make it happen. Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to stop back in for more desserts! I would definitely recommend them to any couple looking for a beautiful and delicious wedding cake. -

We worked with Gabriella at Zest to curate our wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding in May 2021. My husband thought I was nuts when I was considering mixing flavors for our cake, but Gabriella not only told me they could do it, her and her team at Zest made the flavors all melt deliciously together! She also helped me find the perfect mix of cupcake flavors for our guests. And, since I’m a tad indecisive, Gabriella also had the perfect suggestion for the design of our cake. Totally in love with everything that they did, that day and six months later. Can’t wait to go visit and get some new yummy treats we haven’t tried yet! Highly recommend Gabriella and her team for your big day! -

Outstanding Desserts!
Gabriella is absolutely amazing to work with! I plan weddings for a living, so I had the pleasure of working with her for years before it came time for my own wedding. We honestly didn’t even look at any other bakeries since we knew Zest was who we wanted! We had a non-traditional small cake with a cheesecake on bottom and a carrot cake on top. Gabriella made it look amazing! Not to mention how fantastic all the other desserts she provided were as well! Especially the cake pops that we used as place card holders. People are still talking about them! If you are looking for visually stunning desserts that taste as good as they look, you have found the right place at Zest! -

Loved the Cake
Everyone told us that the cake was the best dessert that they have eaten all year and we had an October wedding.
The cake tasting was amazing we were able to try 4 different types, 3 different fillings, and 3 different frostings as well as some cookies.
The cake looked beautiful and the cupcakes were fantastic. We had two different types of cake and 3 different types of cupcakes. The dessert was wonderful and my friends/family in CT will be going to this bakery more often.
Loved the cake and next time I need cake in CT I will be getting It from here. -

Zest did an amazing job with our cutting cake for our September 2021 wedding. They had a great selection, and used a single inspiration photo to create a lovely looking cake that fit our look and feel perfectly! The cake was delicious, and we can’t wait to bust out the frozen slices in a year! -

Gabriella helped with our wedding favor which was a mini whoopie pie, each individually wrapped in cellophane. It was a very reasonable priced and it sounded like they could have done more fancy wrapping if we had wanted it. They also handled delivery directly to our venue. They were so easy to work with and the whoopie pie was delicious!
Bonus: buying and trying all their other pastries in store! -

After other plans did not come together, we needed a small wedding cake last minute. 9 days before our wedding, my mother-in-law took charge on the hunt for a bakery that could fit us in and Zest came through. When my mother-in-law sent me the link to their site and said they were available I was cautiously optimistic, and then when I gave them a call, I got really excited. Despite the time crunch they made the whole process fun and easy. They talked me through different sizes and flavor ideas and emailed with me about designs until we had the perfect cake planned. And it really was the perfect cake. It looked beautiful and tasted absolutely amazing! We had to put off our big wedding due to covid, and after our experience with Zest for our small wedding, we are definitely planning to use them again next year. -

Zest did our wedding desserts (10/12/19) and they were absolutely incredible. Gabriella was professional, informative, and flexible from the time we did the cake tasting all the way through to the wedding! We had an array of desserts including a pumpkin cake two-tiered cake, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and a mix of different cupcakes (carrot, pumpkin, champagne) and every single thing was so delicious and beautifully decorated! I’m so glad we went with Zest and can’t wait to get desserts from them again in the future! -

Zest is the best!
Gabriella was fantastic to work with! Our cake tasting was a lot of fun and we got to try out a variety of cake flavors we were interested in. We are really big cake people and it exceeded our expectations for both flavor and design. It was absolutely stunning and tasted incredible. We continued to eat leftover cake for the next week! Highly highly recommend Gabriella and Zest! They really are the best :) -

Zest was the best!
Working with Gabriella at Zest was so easy. We had a vision of what we wanted our cake to look like, and brought a few pictures to the tasting with us, and she gave us good advice about what would work best given our anticipated guest count, budget, etc. I was a bit indecisive and changed my mind a few times as we were finalizing the details of the cake, but Gabriella was very patient and we were so happy with the outcome! -

If you are looking for an amazing business run by wonderful people with even more wonderful desserts, Zest is your place! Our cake was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious! We went with champagne cake with a strawberry mousse and have gotten countless compliments on how yummy it was! We also ordered Zest's cookies for our dessert table (chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal coconut butterscotch) and they were outstanding! Highly recommend Zest for your wedding in the Mystic area! -

Gorgeous AND delicious!
It was a delight to work with Gabriella from Zest. My husband and I love cake, so choosing a bakery wasn't an afterthought — we were serious about choosing someone who could create something beautiful and with great flavor. We opted for a naked cake with layers of lemon cake with lemon curd and "American frosting" (I love sweet, and she obliged) which was topped with lemon buttercream and gold foil. I also sent her a figurine of our dog, which she positioned at the bottom layer and make it look like he was nibbling from the cake. I plan to order future anniversary cakes from Zest! -

Zest is a no brainer for wedding cakes. Despite wanting a nontraditional cake, with only 2 layers and a bit funky, Gabriella supported my vision and absolutely nailed it. And the cake was DELICIOUS. Mmmmm. Highly recommend the Champagne flavor. -
