I had a great experience with Yuni for my wedding. It was a chaotic day where we were behind on our schedule and Yuni was able to get me and my husband on time for our first look. She was so calm and created such a wonderful enviroment for me and my bridemaids. My makeup was flawless, natural, and lasted perfectly from the ceremony through hours of dancing. Professional, talented, and so lovely to work with. Highly recommend! -

As an Asian bride, I tried a makeup trial with another MUA, but ultimately chose Yuni, and it was the best decision.
Yuni truly understands Asian features and skin tones, and created a look that felt natural, elegant, and timeless.
The makeup photographed beautifully and lasted all day without feeling heavy. I received so many compliments from my partner and guests. Beyond the results, Yuni’s calm and professional presence made me feel relaxed and confident on my wedding day.

Yuni was extremely professional, and the studio on 5th Avenue in Manhattan was very clean and beautiful. I first met Yuni when I was a bridesmaid at my friend’s wedding, and I loved my friend’s makeup so much that I decided to contact her myself. Several of my friends have also booked Yuni for their weddings! I totally recommend her. -

Yuni was so professional and calm. She did my makeup (bride) as well as my sister's and my mother's on the day of my wedding. I felt that my make up was absolutely perfect. My sister and mother were so pleased. She used high quality products and was able to do the make up in quick fashion as well. She blended products to make sure that it exactly matched my skin tone. I wanted a more "natural" look that she was able to pull off flawlessly. I highly recommend her work, and hope to work with her again in the future! -

Yuni’s hair and makeup team is top notch. Everyone complimented my hair and makeup during the wedding. All of my bridesmaids were extremely happy with their looks too. If I had to get married again I would still hire Yuni as my hair and makeup artist! -

Yuni's team made my mom and I look our best! We both went for a soft glam look. Our artist, Nicole, nailed the look and we both felt so beautiful. Nicole has a great attention to detail, kindness and patience. Nicole arrived early, finished our looks with time to spare, and stayed for a final touch-up before
photos. She also provided us with good recommendations on how to walk with the dress and attach boutonnieres. Yuni is also great to work with organizationally- she is responsive and answered all of our questions. She was also flexible with us and made sure that we would get high quality service. Yuni and her team were amazing! She was very professional, clear about the cost and services, and her team arrived right on time and got through all the bridesmaids, myself, and moms right on schedule! The whole bridal party loved how they looked at the end and everyone got so many compliments! My mom who has never gotten her makeup done like that felt completely comfortable and loved her final look. My own hair and make up lasted all day and it was the exact look I had wanted that was leaning towards a more natural look, but still looking bridal. I highly recommed Yuni for everyone's wedding day makeup and hair! -

I hired Yuni and her team to help our bridal party of five (including myself) get ready for hair and make up. Communication was easy and the terms of services were clear along with pricing. I received a schedule a week or two before our wedding day and prior to that had consistent communication with Yuni about what she would need (e.g. mirror, high chairs etc). She did a wonderful job responding to all my questions and provided tips for helping to keep the make up fresh through the day. Her team and her are very punctual and very professional. They were very efficient (one worked on hair while the other worked on make up and Yuni worked on both for me) and pleasant to work with. They each took feedback on what each us of wanted and found it helpful that we had reference photos. I was worried about being overly caked with make up on my face and I was reassured it may seem like a alot since I am not used to. I was blown away from the hair and make up and felt she displayed “soft glam” really well! All the girls looked so good on the big day. I would highly recommend Yuni and her team! -

Wedding Hair and Makeup
Yuni and her team were AWESOME! Yuni, Su, and Nicole were professional, on time, and experts at what they do! Makeup was very natural and spot on to what I was looking for. We got so many compliments the entire night and our hair and makeup stayed on all day with minimal touch ups. I was worried since I have monolids but Yuni did such a beautiful job. I found Yuni online after looking for makeup and hair artists with experience working with a more natural look. I've never had my makeup done before, so finding someone I felt comfortable around was essential. Since I wasn't sure what I wanted, I needed someone to make recommendations. Yuni and her team knocked it out of the park from start to finish! My maid of honor and I received many compliments on my wedding day. As requested, my makeup was natural, not too glammy, remained light throughout the day, and appeared well in photos. I never wore makeup and wanted to keep everything light. However, I'm so glad Yuni recommended my level of makeup and hair because I indeed turned out bridal! I had a Catholic ceremony and a reception that started later in the day. My makeup and hair stayed intact the entire time! On my wedding day, it rained a bit, and still, my makeup was flawless and in place. I also appreciated her team doing my mother and mother-in-law. They looked equally as beautiful! If all of this is what you're looking for, I highly suggest you work with Yuni and her team. -

Yuni was a dream to work with, from my initial inquiry to my wedding day. She was quick to respond, made my makeup trial experience effortless and collaborative, showed up early to the venue on the wedding day, and even supplied me with pretty hair pins when the ones I brought didn't work. My mom and mother-in-law and even my husband got hair and makeup services as well and felt SO confident throughout the day thanks to Yuni's team. 100/10 would recommend! -

Yuni and her team did a wonderful job with our hair and make up for my wedding everyone was extremely thrilled with their end results.
I initially booked Yuni for a trial several months before my wedding and she came to my location and we did a trial where I showed her the hairstyle I was hoping to do on my wedding day. She gave me some tips (like growing my hair out since I wanted an updo and skin care advice) and the trial worked out wonderfully. I was so happy, I decided to lock her in for my wedding. I was able to let her know how many people needed their make up done and was able to even add one more person 2 weeks out from D-Day. She was very flexible.
A week before the wedding, Yuni followed up and provided a rough schedule on how she thought the timeline would work out for everyone on hair and make up. It was very organized and allowed me to assign times to my wedding party as well as integrate it into my final wedding schedule for the day.
On the actual day of the wedding, Yuni was extremely professional. She and 1 other person (for hair) showed up on time with all the tools they needed. They did a great job with all my wedding party and Yuni was very open minded to suggestions on how people wanted their make up done. The end result was soft and flawless, just like how a bride would want her and her party to look.
I would highly recommend hiring Yuni and her team for your big day! -

For all my East Asian brides looking for a HMUA within the
NYC and Long Island area, I HIGHLY recommend choosing Yuni! When I began to look for a HMUA, I was nervous after hearing horror stories about my friends who didn't like the results of their HMUA's work. However, Yuni knew exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond. She's someone who will prioritize you, knows how to work with Asian features, and is within a reasonable price range!
From the moment I reached out, Yuni was very responsive and would get back to me within 48-hours or less, even if I took much longer to respond. During the trial run, I wasn't very certain of what I wanted but the results already looked good and were a good indicator of what the day-of would look like. On the day of the wedding, I had 4 bridesmaids and 2 moms who needed their hair and makeup done. Yuni brought in her team to take care of everyone else so that she could focus on my hair and makeup. Even when other distractions tried to get in the way, she put her foot down and communicated that she was there to prioritize me. Both my hair and makeup lasted longer than 8 hours and turned out amazing for photos!
Yuni made me feel and look like a princess for the day of my wedding and if there were any other occasion I could hire her again, I would!yunimakeup's reply:

There were so many makeup artists to choose from, but Yuni’s makeup caught my eye because her aesthetics matched what I imagined. I did a hair and makeup trial with her a few months before my wedding, and I knew I wanted to book her already. Yuni was AMAZING. She delivered exactly what I wanted; a simple and natural look. I received a lot of compliments that my makeup and hair looked gorgeous. I felt like a princess on my wedding day. Nicole was wonderful as well. They both did makeup and hair for my mom, mother in law, bridesmaids, and groom in a short amount of time. They were accommodating and flexible with my time and location. My makeup and hair lasted throughout the night, so I did not need to touch up at all. Yuni took her time to make sure everything was perfected. I was looking for an amazing hair and make-up team willing to work with large groups, with extra bonus points if they specialized in asian beauty. I am so glad that I found Yuni on Wedding Wire and The Knot! I was impressed by Yuni’s Instagram page as well. Yuni is so sweet and very quick to respond to emails and messages.
During the trial process, Yuni made recommendations and was open to feedback. She worked until the look was perfect. The trial went so well that I convinced two other friends to book Yuni for their weddings too! I was pretty sold by the trial, but the wedding day went even better!
For the wedding, I had 15 ladies (including myself) and 2 flower girls that needed hair and make-up. Yuni was very willing to accommodate our large group and created a schedule to go by six weeks prior to the wedding.
Her and 4 other team members ran services on a timely manner (even early), leaving lots of time for touch ups at the end! Artists were able to replicate inspiration pics very well! Make-up artists were able to work well with varying skin tones and facial features. Everyone had such a fun time. Everyone’s hair and make-up looked beautiful and lasted through the night! Our wedding ended at 1AM too!! Highly recommend, especially if you have a big group!yunimakeup's reply:

IF you want to look best on your best day in your life, you should contact YUNI. She is the bomb! She gave me the very helpful advice with my hair and dress!. Naturally beautiful hair and makeup
Yuni was great to work with! I used Yuni for hair and makeup services for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom. Yuni paid attention to my typical makeup styles and made me look naturally beautiful and glamorous. She knows what will work for your face and when I didn't like some of the makeup during my trial, she quickly fixed it and took pictures to ensure the makeup on the day of would match exactly what I wanted. The night before the wedding, I realized I had a red bruise mark on my back from gym equipment and was really nervous since I had a backless dress. I texted Yuni about the situation and she said don't worry about it, she will take care of it. Yuni covered it up flawlessly and no one could tell I had a red mark at all! My makeup also stayed on the entire night and never smudged! -
