We worked with YTK Photography and owner Katherine, and truly, she was one of the highlights of our entire wedding day. Our families talked for days afterward about how amazing she is. We are so incredibly thankful that she was the one to capture such an important day in our lives.
Katherine and the team assisting her were kind, professional, and exceptionally talented. Wedding photos can easily feel overwhelming with the number of combinations and people you are trying to coordinate, but Katherine kept everything organized and seamless. She ensured we got all the shots we wanted based on our prep call and her incredibly thorough shot list.
One of the most special elements of the day was an idea I had for a portrait station instead of a traditional photo booth. Katherine was immediately on board, even though we had to work through the logistics together. She and her team executed a stunning black and white portrait station that captured timeless, professional images of our guests. It was an absolute hit. Some guests even said they planned to use their portraits on their own wedding stationery.
We have only received our preview so far, and we are already blown away. I find myself looking at the images and thinking about how these are the photographs we will share with our family for generations. They truly feel like heirloom pieces.

Beyond Worth It
Katerine was amazing before, day of, and after the wedding. She was patient with us as we discovered our vision, helped us understand timing and schedules. She was quick to respond, and easy to communicate with. Day of she was one it, a step ahead, and even when it decided to downpour on us, she was with us every step and figuring out what to do to fix any issues. Her team was amazing, gave insight to help us get great shots, and helped us get the photos of what we wanted. She even drove us quickly down to the water (at Lake George which was taking a bit of a moment logistically before) to sneak in some gold hour photos that ended up being some of our favorite photos. Katherine and her team were kind, stood up too the challenges the day tossed at us, and made us feel amazing. After, she took time to hear us about editing (which we had very little notes, she felt the vibes perfect), was able to communicate with us, and gave us some sneak peaks that we absolutely adored. I cannot speak highly enough about Katherine and the YTK works team. From the jump she was extremely organized, thorough and detail-oriented. She made wedding planning a breeze to make sure we captured every shot on our wedding day. My husband and I become nervous in front of the camera, and Katherine made us feel SO comfortable. For me, she hyped me up all day and made me feel so beautiful, which absolutely showed in our photos! I couldn't recommend YTK enough and our photos are absolutely stunning. Beyond being amazingly talented at her craft, Katherine was the best to work with and went above and beyond being our photographer. She was so communicative throughout the entire experience, and on the wedding day was such a calming presence to have around. She even attended our Welcome Party the night before to take photos for us then as well. Her team also did our videography services and everything came back amazing! Amazing wedding photographers
We had Danielle as our main shooter both for our engagement photos and our wedding at The Sablewood on 11.11.23, and Danielle was amazing! She made me and my husband feel so at ease in front of the camera, constantly giving us positive feedback and encouraging us the entire time. Danielle captured the most amazing golden hour photos and it’s a struggle to choose which will be in our album! Prior to the wedding, YTK are responsive to any questions you might have and listen to your vision of the day. They worked with us to create a detailed wedding photo timeline for us on the day of the wedding and actually stuck to it, even finishing a bit early so we could relax a bit before the ceremony. During family photos, which I heard could be chaotic, YTK had our shot list pulled up to make sure that every combination of family photos we discussed were taken. They even organized individuals we wanted pictures with at cocktail hour so that we could quickly get those done. When we got the link to our gallery, all the pictures were organized into categories such as Details, Getting Ready, First Look, Ceremony etc. which was completely unexpected and sooo nice when looking for photos to put in our album. Additionally, we had our photo booth through them as well, and Katherine created a eucalyptus design to make our photo booth prints unique for our wedding! Plus, they came with a bunch of props (including a bunch of Harry Potter ones) that everyone loved haha

My favorite vendor from my wedding day!
Booking with Katherine and YTK Works was the best decision I could have made. Throughout the entire process she was communicative and enthusiastic. I loved how early we started talking about the days schedule, shot list, etc. I’ve had friends with other photographers not even receive their timeline until week of wedding- (I can’t even imagine!) but Katherine and her team reached out several months in advance to set up a preliminary timeline. She also is super skilled and efficient and did not waste any time while getting the photos so we could attend our cocktail hour. I received my previews (which included about 400 photos covering each part of the day, not just a handful of teasers) within 3 weeks and the photos are absolutely beautiful. People have told me they’ve never seen such stunning photographs of any wedding, ever! Beyond the photos she was a lovely person and super helpful during my wedding day.

Best wedding decision we made!
Hiring Katherine to photograph our wedding was one of our earliest decisions and quite possibly one of our best decisions. Once I saw her work, I knew I wanted her to photograph our wedding. She is so incredibly talented at capturing light and more importantly, your most important moments. As if that weren't enough, she is one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Every conversation I had with her put my mind at ease and I knew I could fully trust her and her team to make our day so special and seamless. She worked so professionally with all our other vendors and helped us map out our timeline and navigate a rainy wedding, making sure seized the moments we had to get pictures outside. Since our wedding, both my husband and I have done headshots with Katherine. I have done a boudoir shoot with her, and I even gifted my sister's family a mini holiday shoot with her. I can confidently say we have found the photographer we will use to capture all our big moments. I simply cannot recommend her enough!

Working with YTK was a dream come true. Every single aspect of the experience was incredible. When planning you might not realize just how much time on your wedding day you will spend with your photographer, but they will be there ALL DAY. Working with Katherine and YTK Team was amazing. We booked back in Feb 2020 before the pandemic and they were very supportive throughout the entire process. On the day of, they kept us organized and on schedule. And the photos came out amazing! They will listen to what kind of look and vibe you're going for and reflect that in the editing and lighting. We decided to do a video package, so we're still waiting on that, but I'm sure it'll be incredible 🥰 They say if there's somewhere to splurge for your wedding, it's the photography, and it's so true. We LOVE Katherine, the owner of YTK. She is amazing. I actually found her at the Saratoga Wedding Show in January 2020 (pre-COVID). She is incredible, and her work speaks volumes. Plus she is so sweet, and throughout the entire pandemic she would check in on us and see how she could help. All our photos in the past (engagement & boudoir shoot) have been AMAZING! I can not wait to see our wedding photos as well. I'll be using YTK for all my photography needs throughout my lifetime!

Katherine was the photographer at my sisters wedding in 2018, I told her that day I would be hiring her whenever I got married. She is absolutely amazing! She was so easy to get in touch with even though she was so busy with weddings. The day of she was so on top of everything. Even thought us girls were late getting ready she made sure we got the shots we needed before the ceremony. She seemed so genuinely excited about the shots she was getting. I got married on Saturday and Katherine sent me my sneak peeks the following Wednesday! They were amazing! I did not expect anything less! Then a month and a day after the wedding I got all my photos! Every single one of them was perfect! I was in utter shock how many there were! It is going to be difficult picking favorites! Working with YTK throughout the entire planning process- from engagement photos until our big day was seamless despite the pandemic. The owner of YTK, Katherine, helped with all of our planning and was so flexible in shifting our date. Jess from YTK is our favorite person ever! Jess was our assigned photographer and she took the time to get to know us and helped us get comfortable. She perfectly executed our vision for our photos and made us laugh along the way. It truly felt like she was our friend and we can’t wait to continue to capture our life with her. She captured the most beautiful photos and even helped the groom's side to put on their boutonnieres! Alex and Sabrina, our video team were excellent as well, making sure to capture every detail. The team made not only us, but our wedding party and family have a great time with all of the photos as well! Perfect Team!
Where do we start? Katherine and her team at YTK captured our perfect day in ways that we couldn't imagine. Every little moment from start to finish they delivered. They handled our engagement photos, wedding photos and videography. They can do it all, and we will book them for any of our photo needs in the future. When the pandemic hit, they were able to accommodate us seamlessly and it made us feel a lot more relaxed! The entire YTK crew is awesome, and we wouldn't have wanted to spend our day with anyone else. Katherine, the owner, even hand delivered a beer to the groom from his favorite brewery. We chose YTK photography based on our initial face-to-face meeting with Katherine, where she put us at ease and helped us figure out what we were looking for in our wedding photos. On our wedding day, she guided us through every photograph and made the process feel natural. Katherine will go to great lengths to get the perfect photo - at our wedding, she took off her shoes, rolled up her pants and got into a muddy creek in order to find the right angle. In the end, every photo taken was perfect. Our wedding was postponed due to COVID and Katherine was not only accommodating but would check in with us and offered to help with any part of our wedding plans. She also had great recommendations in regard to other wedding vendors. A+++ You'll be 1000% satisfied.

Katherine from YTK Photography was incredible to work with! In planning she asked simple, key questions to help us choose our photography style and she delivered exactly what we envisioned and offered really reasonable packages that made it doable within our budget. When we postponed our 2020 Wedding she was flexible and compassionate and was able to still photography our Minimony. We got married in October 2020 during the pandemic. We stuck with our original date and made some adjustments. Katherine was nothing short of AMAZING during the entire process. If you want a photographer who makes you feel comfortable and can eliminate as much stress from you as possible she is your girl! If you want someone to step up and tie tie when the groom and groomsmen cant or put on their boutonnieres or button up your wedding dress the fastest and easiest ive ever seen anyone do (yes she is basically super women) Katherine is your girl! A must book
Where to begin! A wedding during a pandemic is stressful but Katherine and her team went above and beyond. She is the most professional, easy and talented photographer I have ever worked with. Katherine and her team made me feel so comfortable, safe and calm the day of the wedding. We had photography and videography all through YTK which helped keep it seamless.
I did not want to miss my wedding, I did not want to miss the entire cocktail hour but I wanted all of the photos, a tough ask! Katherine made this happen, she was so quick with getting the right people together, grabbing the photos and getting people on their way. This was probably one of the hardest tasks for our wedding and she pulled it off brilliantly.
Now, lets talk photos. She is so current and up to date on the newest trends and is so prepared for everything. She arrived day of with everything from props to shoot our detail photos with down to a bobby pin for me to fix my hair. The photos are absolutely stunning. I am not the most comfortable in front of a camera but she made it so fun and easy that the photos came out even better because I was so relaxed.
We received a preview of our photos so quickly and her online portal is so easy and user friendly.

We couldn’t be happier !
Katherine did an unbelievable job photographing and live streaming our wedding day! We couldn’t be happier with the quality and artistry of the pictures and video we received. Behind the camera, we also got the pleasure of working with a woman that is creative, warm, detail oriented, and a problem solver. Katherine loves what she does and is very experienced in her craft. This was evident in all of our interactions with her.
Although the plan for our wedding day changed last minute due to COVID-19, Katherine was a helpful resource to us every step of the way. When we first met her (planning for a 150 person wedding) she took the time to really listen to our vision and helped us craft a timeline that maximized our photography budget and incorporated all the things that were important to us. She knew all the non-traditional “first look” spots in Troy that would help us continue the warm yet industrial vibe we had selected for our venue. When the plans for our wedding day had to be limited to immediate family only and moved to the backyard, Katherine was quick to help us imagine a way to involve those that were not able to physically be present by providing the option to live-stream the ceremony. She went above and beyond with this by also collecting congratulatory videos from all our loved ones to be shared with us on our wedding day!

The Best Photographer!
Booking Katherine Wright and YTK Photography was the BEST decision we ever made for our wedding. From the personal inquiry form to our first meeting with Katherine, I knew she was the perfect person to capture our wedding day. She’s so professional and easy to work with and honestly takes the best photos! She did our engagement session and even though we both felt awkward getting our photos taken she made us feel comfortable right away and the photos came out AMAZING! On the wedding day she kept me calm even though we were behind schedule she managed to get us back on track so we got all the photos we wanted. Exceptional quality, true professionalism, no regrets!
So my now husband and I booked Katherine/YTK pretty early on in our planning process. The photos on her site just really stood out in terms of quality and style, and our first meeting cemented the fact that Katherine really understood my vision and was really passionate about what she did. Well, fast-forward a year and half and my husband and I were no longer so organized. We didn't get a chance to do an engagement session, so I was worried doing the photos for the first time on our wedding day would be awkward and disorganized and nothing Katherine and her team could do would fix it. Luckily YTK are pros, and Katherine calmed all of our fears in those last few weeks with thorough plans and timelines. When she and her associate photographer showed up that day everything was handled with incredible ease. I barely remember seeing them during the reception but we have such incredible candids from that night. I can't think of a single shot I wish we had but don't, and every one is beautiful quality. Plus, she delivered our photos to us right as promised, and has been nothing but enthusiastic and supportive about our wedding. I am so glad we booked YTK, and I would absolutely recommend anyone thinking about it do the same.

Katherine and her team at YTK are incredible artists. They way they are able to capture emotions, in a seconds notice all while being perfectly framed is something that just can not come without years of experience. I can't say enough....when I was searching for a photographer, YTK, Katherine, was the first I reached out to....she wanted to know our story, how we met and how we got to where we were....planning our wedding.....she cared, I could already tell how passionate she is about her profession and capturing these moments for clients....after the first meeting I had no doubt she'd be perfect for the occasion. Jess was so easy to work with. So natural and laid back. But also, she was amazing during the getting ready shots. When I was getting a bit overwhelmed she would just casually suggest we go out and get some air. It was perfect. Jess at YTK captured our wedding events flawlessly
Jess at YTK did our whole wedding package—engagement shots, ceremony, and reception a year later. I can’t say enough about how lucky we were to get her as our photographer. She made everyone feel so comfortable, even the young kids, and the photos are something I’ll treasure for the rest of my life. I’d heard that the photography is one of the most important parts of a wedding and now I know why: the day flies by and you need someone trustworthy, talented, and communicative to capture all the special moments forever. Hunter mountain wedding
My husband and I hired YTK for our wedding in May 2019 and have nothing but good things to say about Katherine, Diane and the entire YTK Team!
From the start, Katherine was by my side helping me to create the wedding I had dreamed of. She worked with our (my husband and my own) crazy schedules to allow us to do our couples shoot in NYC, and captured our everyday life in the most real and beautiful way possible- following us from iconic places in Central Park to the underground craziness of the subways! The photos were amazing and we got sooo many compliments from family, friends and even acquaintances!
As the wedding got closer we had multiple conversations about planning a timeline that would allow us to do all of the family, bridal party and close friend photographs prior to the start of the ceremony. This took a lot of coordination and patience from Katherine and the YTK team but really helped Sean and I to get to spend time with family and friends on our special day— something that was extremely important to us.
On the wedding day, Katherine helped to create the perfect “first look” scenario and used the light to create some gorgeous photos. Most of all, she kept me calm when any part of the day seemed stressful- for example, my husband lost his boutonnière and Katherine effortlessly fastened him a new one from one of the bridesmaid bouquets!
Basically, I could not recommend YTK photography more. They are an amazingly talented team who really care about their clients and couples and their photographs are gorgeous! There is no one else we would choose to capture our most special day!

the BEST wedding photographer
Katherine was amazing to work with for our wedding day. We planned our wedding in upstate NY from Chicago, so we were a little nervous because we didn't get to meet many of our vendors in person until the day of the wedding. But after talking with Katherine over the phone she made me feel so comfortable from the beginning, and I felt like she got the style we were looking for from the start! Our wedding photos were better than we could have asked for. Not to mention Katherine was SO organized. She had our wedding photos done so we actually made it to our cocktail hour to enjoy our guests. I highly recommend Katherine and the YTK team!

Hiring Jessica to take our wedding photos was the best decision we made! We did not have the chance to do an engagement shoot with her unfortunately, but honestly for us that didn't matter much. She showed up on the wedding day and absolutely did an incredible job. Leading up to the big day, we went through a list of all those in our wedding party and families to ensure everyone was included in the portraits. She was ALWAYS available to chat and answered messages quickly. I made a pinterest board of my favorite types of wedding photos--we had several phone calls and numerous emails to make sure everything went smoothly on the day-of. And it absolutely did!
Jessica took photos of everything we wanted and made it all happen. Our photos are beyond beautiful and they are so natural. Nothing looks staged or "pose-y" (we did family portraits but for everything else I prefer candids), but just beautiful, natural, and truly captured us as a couple. I could not have asked for anything more, and we will be cherishing these photos for the rest of our lives. We have beautiful photos of my husband and I, ones with our families, and from the entire event. Honestly, I don't even know how she got so many different angles at our ceremony--it was like she was in two places at once! She was organized and professional throughout, and was present to photograph all our special moments, but most of the time we didn't realize she was there at all! Then, when I saw the photos I was amazed at what she captured--special, fun moments that I am now reliving every time I look through all the gorgeous photos.
Jessica has a true talent and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything turned out how we envisioned. She is a true artist, is very caring, and her photos captured our happiness in the most beautiful way. Please don't even think twice--having Jessica as your photographer is the best decision you can make!

Our wedding planner Kate Arel from a Charmed Affair recommended YTK Photography, and we were thrilled with them. Both Katherine and Jessica were extremely helpful picking the best package that worked for us for our wedding. Jessica LaFleur was our photographer that day. I can't think of any word other than AMAZING to describe Jess! She was with us from start to finish and couldn't have been more helpful; she gave us advice about the timing of photos so we could schedule it just right and when it got a little darker on the actual day of because of clouds, she helped us adjust perfectly. Not to mention the pictures came out fantastically! I'm notoriously bad at taking pictures (my Facebook would tell anyone that), but her smooth professionalism brought out the best in both my husband and myself. I can’t begin to recommend YTK Photography and Jessica enough. As someone who can be admittedly overly critical of wedding photos, I was thrilled with both the experience and results. Jessica was knowledgeable and present throughout the planning process, helping us map out the timeline for the wedding, offering recommendations on when the light would be most flattering, and even connecting me with other vendors (all excellent recommendations).
The day itself couldn’t have been more natural. My husband and I were both anxious about feeling too posed or cheesy, but Jessica made us completely comfortable and often melted into the background, capturing each moment as it occurred.
The results speak for themselves. The photos came out beautifully- we couldn’t be more thrilled. We’ve received many compliments on the stunning shots, and the only complaint is that they’re all so beautiful that we can’t decide which ones to frame! If I could give her six stars I would. Working with her was a tremendous experience.

Katherine and her team at YTK Photography were absolutely INCREDIBLE. My husband and I got married a little over a month ago in Troy, NY and we are still talking about how great the YTK team was to work with. From the moment I sat in her studio and told her our story about how we met and the vision we wanted for our wedding day, I knew she was going to be an easy vendor choice. During the entire process Katie was attentive to detail, extremely responsive through e-mail and was very accommodating when we wanted to create our own custom wedding package. Along with working with Katie and team on our wedding day, we also chose to do engagement pictures a year prior. When I say my husband wasn’t too keen on the idea of being photographed before this, was an understatement… BUT honestly, after that day, he continued to say how personable, cool, down to earth person he’s ever met – and on top of that felt 1000% more conformable when it came to taking pictures on our wedding day. We CAN NOT wait to see our wedding trailer. We know it will be phenomenal if it’s as beautiful as how our wedding blog came out. You know when you have something in your head, and you have been dreaming for that vision for your wedding your entire life? That is exactly what you will get with YTK. HANDS DOWN-THE BESTTTTTT. I can't even begin to explain how talented YTK Photography is-LIKE INCREDIBLE.
From start to finish, Katherine and her team made us feel so comfortable. And I'm talking COMFORTABLE- my husband was so scared to do the engagement photos and now he may or may not think he is a model. As soon as I sat down in Katherine's studio, I knew she was the perfect person to work with for our wedding, and not only because of her obvious talent, but because she makes ART. She is so passionate about what she does, and it clearly shows by her photos. She has the sweetest soul, and she really took the time to understand who we are individually and as a couple. Anddd she loves Game of Thrones..Do i need to say anymore? It was really important to us that our photos tell the story of our day, and her and her team delivered beyond our expectations. And the entire YTK team? Absolutly AMAZING.
We wanted to do something really different, and she helped us choose the absolute best locations for our engagement photos, and day of the wedding locations. We had a really busy day and had a huge bridal party and even larger family-but Katherine and her team made the process of getting all of our photos go so smoothly. She even brought her old vintage camera to take some awesome poloroids with. Our wedding day ended up being rainy, and cold-and I have to say I'm so incredibly happy that it turned out like that because YTK took that and made my photos out of this world. People keep asking me like how did you get these awesome photos? Like you do not get wedding photos nowadays like this-and I can honestly say its because we trusted Katherine and we went with it. I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am that Katherine and Diana were able to photograph my wedding!! Katherine is so amazing to work with! She is fun, kind, professional and insanely talented. While generally my husband and I don't love getting our photos taken (my husband has always been a huge grump about getting his picture taken) Katherine made the whole experience, not only less painless than we expected, but really really enjoyable and sweet!! We had such a great time that the day after our wedding day my husband actually said, "Getting our pictures take was really fun! We should do that again sometime!" Coming from him that was a truly shocking statement to say the least!

We had Katherine and Jess for our wedding on Sept 9th way out in Old Forge. Not only did she travel from NYC but DEAR LORD she (and Jess) DELIVERED x100. We love them. The friendliness and ability to keep everyone calm and collected then produce stunning photographs is second to none. I will never use another photographer - SERIOUSLY - no one compares. She made us laugh, had brilliant ideas, worked with our dogs, and crazy family. I cannot imagine our day being captured by anyone else and we are so thankful to them. The professionalism and bubbly happiness from the whole YTK team were highly appreciated, and in case you haven't seen it Katherine's smile is freaking adorable. They even worked with my little cousin who is in college to become a videographer and let him film and do his thing alongside them. He was so excited and learned a lot, it was very nice of them. I first met Kate at The Arts Center of the Capital Region where I took a photography class with her, and was first exposed to her magnificent work. After my husband and I were engaged, we knew we wanted a photographer who was a true artist, so booking YTK Photography was really a no-brainer. Katherine and her YTK staff are just awesome people to work with. We used YTK for engagement photos, and wedding photo/video/photobooth and could not be happier. They are very fairly priced, especially since YTK has built an amazing reputation in the region, but beyond that what sets YTK apart is their expertise and personality. For the former, we always felt comfortable during the photos, never forced. That included being in the snow without coats for the engagement shoot as well as when worrying about time during wedding pictures. Plus, Katherine is just a fun and enjoyable person to hang out with that you hardly remember that you are taking time to capture these photos; her ability to help us stay comfortable and joyful rather than stressed despite large wedding parties and sprawling families was a godsend. And the fact that Katherine is so good with dogs is absolutely perfect since our little boy was of course in both the engagement and wedding photos. As we go through our photos, we are constantly amazed by our best memories from that day being captured from the perfect angle. We are lucky to have picked such a talented and friendly person as our photographer for our wedding.

I cannot say enough positive things about Katy! My heart bursts with happiness that she captured our wedding day! She and her assistant Jackie were fabulous on our big day. In planning Katy was responsive, knowledgeable and such a huge help in my planning. My husband and I are not very camera friendly (we maybe have a handful of photos in our 9 years together), but Katy and Jackie made being in front of the camera easy, comfortable and most importantly fun! Where do I even begin for my love of Katherine and YTK Photography and Videography? Not only is Katherine incredibly professional, flexible, and responsive, she is the biggest sweetheart! Let's face it, weddings are expensive! We had a tight budget and Katherine worked with us to make our dreams come true, when most others turned us away. What the YTK team creates is nothing less than a masterpiece. We used them for videography for the day of our wedding. They worked wonderfully with our photographer, posed us perfectly and when they weren't posing we barely knew they were there. YTK went WAY above and beyond and delivered a video beyond our wildest dreams that brought tears to our eyes and captured our day PERFECTLY. YTK Photography is an absolute gem of a vendor. Katherine Wright and her assistant made our wedding day so much fun and easy. My husband and I are not terribly photogenic people and thought it would be awkward to pose for so many photographs, but Katherine made us feel so comfortable.
I never like first look pictures, but ours are some of my favorites. Katherine knew exactly what to capture, to highlight the incredible moment.
She is very laid back and efficient. She didn't push us when the groomsmen were being groomsmen, but she was forceful enough to keep the group moving along. We felt completely relaxed the whole time, but still got all our shots in with plenty of time to enjoy our guests.
Besides being a dynamite photographer, she was prepared with bobbie pins and tape to keep everyone's hair and fabric in line and constantly offered us water to make sure we stayed healthy and hydrated.
I honestly have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and YTK Photography was a big part of making that happen.

I could not recommend Katherine and the YTK team more! While planning our wedding, Katherine was organized, energetic and very knowledgeable. It was comforting to know right off the bat that we were in good hands. On the day of, she and Kim couldn't have been more amazing! We had a very short window of time to get a lot of shots and their ability to fit everything in, was unbelievable. Throughout the day they were there shooting every moment but you wouldn't even have known it! We got our photos within 4 weeks of the wedding and they are absolutely gorgeous! Katherine and her team at YTK were absolutely amazing from start to finish! Your wedding photos are such an important lasting memory of your day, and while many photographers can take good photos and tick off a list of shots, Katherine sets herself apart because she truly takes the time to get to know you and to understand your vision for your wedding. She and her team then have an innate ability to tell your unique story through her photography and videos. She is truly all about getting to know you as a couple, and letting the best parts of your relationship shine through in her work.
Katherine is also a dream to work with on the wedding day--she does what is necessary to get great shots, but is very open to working with your schedule and plan. That said, definitely ask her advice on flow--she has a great eye for detail and was VERY helpful in thinking through how we wanted to plan our our day, including when to shoot what photos to maximize our time with friends and family.
On a side note, I often referred to Katherine as our "unofficial wedding planner" throughout the wedding planning process. We live in NYC but our wedding was in the Troy area. We did not have the time to meet with a variety of vendors so I would ask Katherine if she had any recommendations. Every single one of her recommendations (hair, makeup and florist) were a dream to work with and fit perfectly with the theme of our wedding and budget. She was indispensable and our wedding would not have been the same without her advice.

When we started wedding planning, we knew that we did not want to book a videographer and thought that wedding videos were tacky. That is until I saw my friend's wedding video trailer and feature done by YTK. Since YTK is based in the Albany area and our wedding was in Connecticut, I did not think that hiring this company would even be an option. I reached out to Katherine and before you know it, we were on the phone with her and sharing our love story. It was a done deal! We booked that day and it may be one of the best decisions that we made as we now have this amazing footage that documents the best day of our lives. A few months before the wedding, Katherine met with us and we shared details that were important to us. We could tell that she was already envisioning our film even though the event did not take place yet! Katherine is a true artist in every form and so is her team! I cannot say enough incredible things about YTK. I fell in love with their images from my brother's wedding and knew I wanted them to capture our day. I inquired about whether they were willing to travel from NY to Boston, and they responded immediately that they would absolutely come to Boston. We had a more nontraditional wedding (no formal reception), so they were incredibly accommodating in making us a modified package that ended up costing us far less than if we had hired them for a whole day. They arrived early and scoped out the entire area for good photo opportunities. We saw a sneak peek from their shoot mere days afterward, and two weeks later a full feature blog with all the favorite photos from the day. Everyone was in love with the blog post and we received many compliments. It did not take long before we had our entire digital album. YTK is speedy, efficient, responsive, and incredibly professional, all while making you feel special and keeping things fun and relaxed. I would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE! Not sure if they are too far away from you? Just ask!! They drove all the way to Boston for me!

Her attention to detail is spectacular, from where and how we were able to capture beautiful photos to even helping out with anything we needed -- pinning the boutineers to the guys to making sure everyone was comfortable and knew exactly what to do. Katherine and her team at YTK photography were worth every last dime we spent to hire them. Not only is Katherine one of the nicest people ever, but her photos are breathtaking. We chose to spend a little more than what we originally had planned on a photographer just to get her, and I have NO regrets about doing so. She was my favorite of all our vendors- she got back to me extremely quickly every time I reached out to her for anything, and she was always accommodating. The day of the wedding she went above and beyond to get any shots I asked for, she was present everywhere and taking photos of everything. Everyone in my bridal party and family loved working with her. She even helped me with things completely outside her scope like helping me change my shoes, or repinning my hair when it was getting messy. YOU NEED TO HIRE THIS GIRL! Katherine and her assistant Kim came to photograph my wedding and they were absolutely amazing. I have never heard so many people say how amazing my photographer was, better than any they have ever seen before. They were organized, knew who was important to me to have pictures with, and so so easy to work with! They took fun easy going shots and always kept the mood light and happy. I am not photogenic at all and Katherine and Kim made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. The turnaround time for the pictures is so fast its quite amazing. I got to see a teaser when I woke up the next morning and it was amazing to see. Katherine had us up on her blog within a week! To see a ton of amazing pictures a week later allowed my husband and I to relive the day, it was such a wonderful feeling. It didn't stop there, one of my flower girl's birthdays was shortly after the wedding and Katherine posted a collage of pictures of her from the wedding on her instagram page. The mother of my flower girl, the grandmother of my flower girl, my mother, all of my family thought that was just unbelievable, literally brought tears to our eyes. I would recommend Katherine and Kim to every single person I talk to. The compliments I received on the pictures on her blog are still coming and are nothing but perfect compliments. Katherine is so easy to work with and make us feel very comfortable from the outset. She really did an awesome job of creating a stress free environment so we didn't have to worry about a thing on our big day. She’s also extremely efficient and professional – getting all the right shots from the detail shots to the big family photos to candid shots. Katherine did an amazing job photographing my daughters wedding. She began during the preparations with make-up and the friends who helped get my daughter ready. Lovely pictures of the ceremony with a real feel for the mood we were trying to create. Reassured me that the lighting would be great even though it rained outside the tent. Her keeping an eye on the weather so that we got beautiful outside photographs whenever the rain was a mist or when it let up for a minute. I found Katherine Wright from YTK Photography when I was researching venues online. I came across the photos she did of another wedding and was instantly blown away by the style and beauty of the images. She really does have an artist's eye. I quickly sent her an email and she responded promptly, in a very friendly, kind and professional manner. We met with her, saw more of her worked and signed a contract with her without having to think twice. Keep in mind that I had been looking at other photographers' work for a very long time and her images were one of the best.

You can see from the ytk photography website/blog just how amazing Katherine's pictures come out. What you can't see is how amazing it is to work with her.
My wife found Katherine's work through her website and immediately fell in love. At the time, we were looking for a local photographer based in the Troy area to shoot our engagement pictures. Not only did she find a way to do every shot we wanted but she had tons of ideas for things we would never think of. Katherine can get so excited when a picture turns out just right and that excitement is so contagious. You'll always be smiling in her pictures.
We also booked Katherine for our wedding all the way in Vermont. She (and her associate Kim) were just amazing. Katherine is a woman of many talents. Over the course of the day, she was also fixing my wife's hair, adjusting my tux, playing interference with my mother, and anything else she could think of to make our day go smoother. She even came back from the parking lot as she was leaving when the DJ thought to call her to get a few shots of the insanity that erupted on the dance floor.
I can't recommend her enough to all of my friends and family. We will definitely be working with her in the future.

We had the pleasure of having YTK Photography at our wedding. Katherine and her associates did an amazing job photographing our wedding. They were very organized and professional and gave great ideas. When it came time to our wedding day, I didn't have to think about anything or worry about certain things getting done. I felt as if Katherine and her associates were my own personal wedding planner. She knew the timeline of my wedding, and what event was coming up and because of that I was able to enjoy and have a lot of fun at my wedding and made the day go by smoothly. As the bride, she made me feel as if I was on top of the world and she wanted to make my wedding day special. Katherine and her associates are very energetic and happy, which made my husband and I less stressed and have a lot of fun. I would highly recommend YTK Photography to anyone who is looking for a professional photographer to make your day fun, exciting and stress free. To this day I still cannot stop looking at our wedding photos. I still get many compliments on our wedding photos and I look forward to using YTK Photography again in the future.

My husband hates getting his picture taken but Katherine with ytk made the experience so fun and easy. The photos are all gorgeous and reflect a relaxed and happy couple. No stiff poses or forced smiles here!

Katy was wonderful to work with as our wedding photographer. She made sure to meet with us in advance to get an idea of what types of photos were important to us and what we were looking for.
On the day of our wedding, Katy and her assistant were wonderful to work with. She was laid back and calm, which helped my groom and I remain calm and positive. We have wonderful memories of working with Katy on the wedding day, and she was not intrusive at all. We received a lot of great finished photos from the day, both of us as a couple, all of the surroundings, and our families.

Katy was absolutely amazing to work with. She is super professional and punctual. Katy always gets back in a very timely manner. I felt incredibly relaxed and at ease with her! Beautiful work!!! I have used Katy for other photographic needs and she is always great!

Katherine Wright, owner of YTK Photography was beyond amazing. She was not only extremely knowledgable and professional, but she was my go to person when I was feeling stressed throughout the wedding process. She helped me find other vendors for my wedding because I wasn't from the area, she kept in contact with me and answered every question I had. I have recommended her to many people already and will continue to do so. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect person to capture one of the most important days of our lives. She was perfect in every sense of the word and so are our pictures. It's such a comforting feeling knowing that you're in good hands during this time and I am thankful to have found her!!

The pictures clearly speak for themselves. The best part of having Katherine as our wedding photographer was that she also did our engagement pictures (which we used for our table numbers) and everything coordinated. Many of the guests didn't even know she was there until they saw her at the reception! Her camera was super quiet and her presence was pretty much unknown during the entire ceremony. I have been to weddings with obnoxious photographers with loud cameras that are always getting in the way of the guests but Katherine fit right in as if she was a guest! Katherine quickly became friendly with the caterer and DJ and made sure that everyone was on the same page with the reception events so that I had no worries. Katherine found beauty in scenery that I would have never even thought was possible. Plus, the fact that I have over 800 pictures of my wedding day speaks volumes. Oh, and when the only person who knew how to do my bustle "couldn't find her glasses" Katherine and her assistant came to the rescue!
I could go on and on but just looking at her blog will make you fall in love.
