Choosing David as our wedding officiant was one of the best decisions we made. From our very first conversation, David was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in getting to know us as a couple. He communicated clearly throughout the entire process, explained every step with ease, and made us feel completely confident that our ceremony was in the best hands.
What truly set David apart was how heartfelt and personal our ceremony was. He took the time to learn our story, our values, and what mattered most to us, and he wove those details beautifully into the ceremony. It never felt generic or scripted. It felt authentic, meaningful, and deeply reflective of who we are and the journey we share. Many of our guests commented afterward on how emotional and sincere the ceremony felt, and several asked if David was a longtime friend because of how personal it was.

Amazing officiant
When our officiant backed out at the last minute, we met with four different ones to find one and David stood out to us immediately! He was funny, personable, and kind. In lieu of completing a questionnaire, we had a second Zoom meeting with him in which he asked us questions, took notes, and got to know us both individually and as a couple. He also came to our rehearsal and was EXTREMELY HELPFUL in making sure we knew what to do when so that our ceremony went smoothly. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking - thank you David!! -

It really was a perfect ceremony! David went above and beyond to make our ceremony one to remember, and to make the process of getting married as easy as possible. He helped us understand what paperwork to fill out to obtain our marriage license and even took care of sending it off after our ceremony. After our wedding we had SO many guests come up and tell us what an amazing ceremony it was. We chose to do a non-religious ceremony, and David did a great job of talking about our history and our strengths as a couple. Guests kept asking how we knew David and were amazed to hear we didn’t know him personally. He truly loves what he does and was a joy to work with. We were nervous about writing our own vows, but David convinced us to and now we’re so glad we did! You will not be disappointed if you choose David as your wedding officiant! -

David is an absolutely incredible officiant! From our first Skype intro meeting, he was professional, thoughtful, funny, kind, and took the time to truly get to know us. We also did 6 premarital coaching courses with David and it was one of the best decisions we made! It allowed him to get to know us on an even deeper level and it made our ceremony even more special. The coaching courses also truly helped us as a couple and gave us amazing communication tools to use in our relationship! David customized the most beautiful ceremony speech that was extremely touching, funny, and definitely drew tears in the audience! It wasn't a rinse and repeat speech either - it was perfectly fit for us! He was extremely easy-going to work with, detail-oriented, gave us instructions for everything regarding our marriage license, reviewed our vows, attended our rehearsal, and never missed a beat! We wanted an officiant we could truly connect with, who guided us in the path of God (he can do both religious and non-religious ceremonies), and who took the time to get to know us, and we got it! TRUST ME (I work in the event planning business), you want to hire David for your wedding!! You won't regret it! -

David is the absolute best!! We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and during every date change and venue change, he was so flexible and made it stress free. On the wedding day, he totally took charge, and even did a surprise thing where he included our dog Peyton in the cutest way possible. I was a nervous wreck and he had tissues for me and so on top of it. After the wedding, so many of our guests were asking, “Who was your officiant?! He was amazing!!” He did a fantastic job of clicking with the audience and he even wears a tie/suit that will coordinate with your colors. He made the most special moment of our lives very memorable. My husband and I were looking for an officiant to perform our elopement ceremony, and we found David. His reviews were impeccable, and no matter where we searched for him, all we found were raving reviews! My husband and I both agreed that we must contact him. From the beginning, he was friendly and responsive. He suggested a Skype meeting so that he could get to know us a little bit and tailor our ceremony using relevant information about us, rather than a standard generic one (unless you want generic- he can do that too). The meeting was very productive. We discussed details that were important to us, and when we asked him for location suggestions, he gave us one that was perfect! Because of the pandemic situation, we wanted a brief ceremony, and he was very respectful of our wishes. It was perfect! David wore a mask the entire time, and stood at a safe distance from everyone. He used a microphone so that everyone can hear him, and he pinned one on my husband's suit lapel so that they can hear us as well. We also wanted to integrate a "lasso," which is a Mexican wedding tradition. I thought I'd have to explain it, but he knew EXACTLY what to do (as I did not)! David is super detail oriented. I was very touched when he wore a tie to match our color (lilac), which was my mom's favorite. Additionally, David gave us suggestions with the writing of our vows, and during the ceremony, he gave us the vows on some beautiful lilac colored stationery! Another great thing about David is that he performs both secular and religious ceremonies- your choice! David went ABOVE and BEYOND what was asked and agreed upon. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND David Cutler to ease your mind on your most special day, and perform your ceremony! -

David was an incredible officiant for our wedding on November 22, 2020. From the first moment we sat down and spoke with David, he put us at ease. David was intentional about getting to know us as a couple so that he could personalize our ceremony. He has a kind and funny personality which made it easy to be honest and express our individual personalities. At the wedding, David impressed our wedding guests with his charm and wit! He customized our ceremony and made everyone feel truly connected in an intimate manner. We appreciated that David even wore his cowboy boots to fit in with our country theme! We could not have asked for anyone more perfect. I also wanted to mention that he thoroughly helped us get the marriage license filed with our county and sent detailed instructions on how to obtain the marriage license. From start to finish, David is professional and caring in every single detail. Highly recommend to every bride! -

David married my wife and I this New Year’s Eve and we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing officiant. David is kind, fun, and really goes the extra mile to not only make your wedding feel deeply personal and special, but very well coordinated as well.
David met with my wife and I a few months before the wedding and really spent some time getting to know us, and our relationship. He took the time to write a truly heartfelt (and fun) ceremony speech that drew plenty of laughter (and some tears) from our guests, and my wife and I. During the rehearsal he made sure everyone knew what was going on and where to be, and made sure to call out all the things to watch out for. He is extremely experienced with running weddings and that absolutely showed. He also made sure that we did everything we needed to do with our wedding license, the details of which I knew nothing about.
To anyone looking for an amazing officiant for your wedding, I would recommend David Cutler ten times over. You will be so happy you did.

We were going to use a family member to officiate our wedding but I’m so glad that we didn’t. David was so amazing the way he got to know us as a couple and took the time to hear our story. He then incorporated it in our ceremony and have it a personal touch which we lived and our guests still talk about how amazing he was. He was worth every penny! He even knew exactly what the photographers needed to capture and he made sure to go over it with us at the rehearsal. He thought of everything and made the day amazing for us! We got married at the Temecula Creek Inn in September, and found David on the venues preferred vendor listing. We are SO happy we did!
After having a FaceTime introductory call, David explained his services and made us feel immediately at ease. He also mentioned that he provides MC and music services, and we jumped right in with signing him up for the ceremony and music services.
David made everything so easy for us, we had a face to face planning meeting a few months before the big day and he spent a couple of hours explaining the plan for the day and also getting to know us as a couple. We left the meeting feeling so happy that we’d found David to be such a big part of our day.
The weekend of, David met us at the venue and led our wedding rehearsal. There were quite a few family and friends dropping in during the rehearsal, but David kept us on track and made sure all the important aspects were covered.
On the day of, David was seamless in setting everything up, his music set up was amazing and our guests really enjoyed the pre-ceremony music as they arrived.
As I walked down the aisle to see David and my husband to be, things couldn’t be more perfect. David gave us the most wonderful ceremony, and he included such loving and inspiring words for the start of our new life together. The ceremony was so personal and included references to us as a couple, we were SO impressed and I can’t express in words how incredible David made us feel while we stood together in front of our friends and family.
After the ceremony, David seamlessly transitioned from Officiant to MC / DJ and our guests were so impressed. We loved that he kept the continuity going through the day, and he was so charismatic and funny with his transitions. He introduced all the speeches and helped us keep the timeline of the day, we didn’t have to think about a thing.
When he led the dance party as "DJ David", he had everyone on the dance floor and kept the party going with so many great songs. He created a fun and magical atmosphere for our guests, he’s truly a man of many skills!!
David is incredibly professional, kind and caring, and is the BEST choice for a wedding officiant / DJ. His officiant, MC and music services far exceeded any expectations we had, and his presence throughout the whole day made everything so perfect. You will not regret this decision!!! -

Not trying to be biased, but out of all the weddings my husband and I have been at, the ceremony at our wedding takes the cake, and it’s all because of our officiant David. He seriously took the time to get to know us, and because of that, he tailored our ceremony perfect enough to represent us. He listens, is very knowledgeable, and helpful when it comes to the marriage license process. In addition, we used David for our ceremony music, and he timed everything perfectly, with the help of his handy dandy iPad and expensive sound equipment. The funny thing was after our ceremony, a lot of our family and friends asked us if David was a long time friend, and we said “No, but it sure felt that way!” That’s how personal yet professional David presented his services. Amazing Experience!
My husband and I would highly recommend David as your Wedding Officiant! David spent so much time getting to know us that by the time our Wedding day came we felt like long friends. We even had him over after our Wedding just to hang out with us and our family and friends.
David helped make our Wedding the most romantic day of our lives. He is so detailed orientated and it definitely showed. Simply perfect!
When my girlfriend and I decided to tie the knot, we knew we wanted to do it in CA near the ocean and that we wanted it to be a private, intimate ceremony with just the two of us and an officiant. I won't say we are picky, but we are, and the perfect person was a must! Since we live outside CA, we went to the internet and searched for an officiant. We moved quickly through a couple of choices since they had no personality and we just did not feel it. Then we found David. We thought just from his website that he would be a good fit. After some text and email communication, we scheduled a face time call. We spent an hour on the phone with David getting to know each other. He was just so perfect. He was sweet, interested in hearing our story, demonstrated attention to detail, he had an appreciation for romance, and was just plain adorable!
Our vision was a private ceremony on the beach in jeans and flip flops. David was up for it and even color coordinated with us:)
The day of the ceremony was just amazing. We could not have been happier! David climbed up quite a hill for us to the bluff above our beautiful ocean view. He even toted a 40 pound battery in order to video record our special moment. When we discussed who would go first with the vows, we decided rock, paper, scissors was the way to decide. Then we went to it. The ceremony was simply beautiful and amazing. David truly seemed invested in our love. His smile and kindness really made a difference for us. David also provided our vows for us on these beautiful cards that we have as mementos. David respected our privacy and did everything right to make our special day amazing. He is the kind of person you want to share a bottle of wine with outside your ceremony. He feels like a friend and that is really special for something like this. After the ceremony was said and done, David did share some champagne and donuts with us:) We are so very grateful to David and will never forget our wedding day where everything was perfect! David married my wife and I in June 2017 in Temecula, CA. Our overall experience with him was absolutely amazing. He was professional, friendly and kind. He is definitely passionate about what he does and does it amazingly well.
Before the Ceremony:
First off, my wife and I are located in the bay area and had to work with David remotely. He was very responsive via email and phone, and our skype sessions with him were very helpful, fun and time well spent. In addition, he had my wife and I do some homework, specifically filling out important questions about each other. He really took time to get to know us and used the information we shared with him for the ceremony.
Rehearsal/Ceremony:
David was at the rehearsal on time. Kept the entire rehearsal organized and efficient. On the day of the wedding, he was at the venue early and the ceremony was amazing. With the information he gathered from our interviews he told the story of our relationship just like we wanted. The ceremony had lots of laughs, love and emotion. He did a great job not making it too serious or too funny. He incorporated so many meaningful aspects of our relationship especially our basketball rivalry (Warriors vs. Lakers - Go Lakers!) which really made it fun for us and those who attended. In addition, he provides nice printed cards with our vows for us to read and for a keepsake. Overall, the ceremony was everything we wanted and David really listens and tailors the ceremony to what you truly want it to be.
After Ceremony:
David filed our license in a timely manner and was very thankful to have shared our special day with us. We are so thankful we chose him as our officiant.
David was amazing and we highly recommend him!! -

Casey Sent on 06/25/2018David was the first and only officiant that my (now) husband and I met with before our wedding. I had messaged several others with a few questions, and I just loved that David messaged me back in a timely manor, and that he actually wanted to meet us before trying to jump the gun & book him. We had a couple of meetings in which he got to know us, and we really felt like we were talking to a long time friend at the end of these meetings. He had some GREAT insight to what would look good during our ceremony, as well as some things that we could add into it to make it stand out from the regular run of the mill wedding ceremonies. He is VERY professional, but he was also able to add some humor into our ceremony which is just our style. :) He was also very timely in responding to emails, giving us information on how to apply for our marriage license, and then sending it off to be recorded as well.

Shane Sent on 02/01/2018Oh my goodness! Where do I begin. Our venue recommended David, and we couldn't be more happy that they did. He made our day UNFORGETTABLE. All of our guests came up to us during our reception and commented on how great he was. He added humor where humor was to be added and spoke with such love. He was able to talk about us and our relationship on such a personal level, having only met us once through an hour Skype interview and then at our rehearsal.
He proofread our vows (which my husband and I kept a secret from each other) to make sure they had the same tone and were the same length. He even wore a suit and tie that matched our wedding colors perfectly. I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you for being apart of our special day David! -

He was personable and friendly, he got people to focus on the ceremony but did not try to make it all about him. He made the announcements at the beginning of the ceremony that we asked him to and made some ADORABLE vow cards for us that I want to frame and hang in our home. When I first met him we sat for over an hour talking about me and my husband and what we pictured our ceremony. We met again with my husband and we talked about our story and what made our love unique. David then was able to custom create the perfect ceremony for us. I have to admit I was worried because he missed our rehearsal (it was his birthday so totally understandable). He made sure to keep constant contact with us the days prior to the wedding and we bounced ideas back and forth about wordings. Ada Sent on 10/17/2015After searching for officiants near Temecula that were reasonably priced, my husband and I decided to go with David. We met with him prior to booking, and liked how he was very personable, and how he was open to any questions we had. Before the wedding, we had another meeting where he asked us questions so that he could personalize the ceremony to our relationship.
Things were pretty hectic at the wedding rehearsal (lots of family members were there, and people were late), but David was great at leading the rehearsal and letting everyone know what they should be doing. The ceremony went smoothly, and several guests commented on how well David led it.
My husband and I each wrote our own vows, and David printed them out on beautiful vow cards for us to keep. David also sent us useful document and worksheets do help us write our vows, select a reading, understand how the marriage license process works, etc. We hired a harpist instead of a DJ for the ceremony, so it was great how David brought in his own high end sound system. Such a small detail, but I liked how no one had to hold large mics in their hands, and everyone could still hear the entire ceremony.
Many people just have their friends officiate their ceremony, but considering the quality of service David provided, it was worth the price. He coordinated with the other vendors and took the stress off of us. We definitely made the right choice going with David! -

If you are planning on getting married in the Temecula area, David should probably be your first call. He is in high demand for good reason, so book him early. Sometimes you meet people in life that just have an extraordinary talent for what they do, and David is one of those people. He's very friendly and very easy to get along with. He's also very organized, and responds quickly to all your questions. But the true test of an officiant is his/her ability to deliver on the day of the wedding - David absolutely blew us away! He gave us the perfect ceremony and I couldn't write this review fast enough. If you choose David as your officiant, you will not be disappointed. He really takes the time to know and understand who you are as a couple, and delivers that message to your guests on the day of the wedding. -
