Allison Sent on 06/14/2012Stacey’s worth ethic and product was absolutely superb! She arrived on time even though she met many obstacles in getting to our venue. She flew into a new town (Indianapolis) and arrived smiling and ready to work! She got every photo I wanted, and so much more! She even captured photos that I didn’t even know I wanted! She truly is a ninja photographer! When I look at our pictures, I don’t even remember her being there to take them! Her ability to capture heart felt emotion in pictures is understated. When I look at each picture, I can tell what emotion I was feeling at that time and can be riveted back to that time and that emotion. Not every photographer possess that talent. Stacey managed to cover the entire wedding and even suggested ‘out of the box’ shots, which we ended up just loving! Towards the end of the evening it was suggested to us that we head downtown to a place called ‘The Circle’ which is at the center of the city. I was a bit hesitant since it would be about a half hour drive and completely dark by then, but went anyway. I am so glad that we did! We got the BEST photos on the Circle and am so happy that we went. Would I recommend Stacey to photograph any event? Absolutely! I cannot express how happy I am that she was my photographer. It is so challenging to come up with words that describe how fantastic of a photographer she is. She has an amazing eye for different photos, talent, and composition. Thank you Stacey for providing my husband and I with priceless memories! -

Sarah Sent on 12/27/2011I found photographer Stacey Salerno of Your Life Photography when she came into my salon Dolce Vita Salon & Spa to photograph a wedding party while they got their hair and makeup done. I approached her and told her I would be getting married on December 19th, 2011 and that I needed a photographer to do a "fun vintage" photoshoot before the actual wedding and that I also needed photographs taken of the ceremony. I met Stacey approximately 3 weeks before my wedding which was very short notice to get a photographer. She gave me her website address and I browsed through her photos and fell in love with the way she captured photos. We began emailing back and forth and I sent her photographs of ideas I had for me and my fiances "fun vintage" photoshoot! She was very good at getting back to me and giving me feedback. I was also extrememly excited to find out that she was available the day of my wedding. When I sent her my photoshoot ideas she seem ecstatic to do something fun and different. Eager to take part in my special day I was even more thrilled to have her be my wedding photographer bc I knew she was as excited as I was. She expressed to me that she had never done a photoshoot like this and she was super excited to do something different. I knew from looking at her portfolio's that although this was stepping out of the box for her that she was going to do an amazing job. We decided to do a sunrise photoshoot for the "vintage photo's" and then following that she would capture my wedding ceremony. Since it was December it was freezing outside 32 degrees to be exact. Freezing! It was 7:15am when we started the vintage shoot and she was ready to go! She made me and my fiance feel so comfortable and really helped us set the mood for this shoot. We all laughed and really had a great time. I almost forgot it was so cold outside. I remember Stacey even layed on the frosty cold ground to capture many of the photos so she could get the perfect shots. She also walked though almost waist high grass so she could get just the right angle she was looking for. I was so impressed with her professionalism. She really did whatever it took to capture this once in a lifetime experience for me and my fiance. I really wasn't sure what she was seeing through the lense but when she sent me the photo gallery I was in speechless. They were perfect...even more than I had imagined. The photos were so romantic, fun and vintage. The photos reminded me of the movie" The Notebook". She went beyond what I had hoped for. I had so much fun! I am normally really shy and she made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She really listened to what I wanted out of this shoot and I couldn't be happier with the end results. She did an equally exquisite job with out wedding ceremony. I would highly recommend Stacey from Your Life Photography. She is professioonal, punctual, fun and enjoys stepping out of her comfort zone and trying new things. She was flexible and got back to me asap! She was truley a gem. I am happy she walked into my salon that day. Its because of her I have my wedding day memories captured so beautifully and artistically. -

Ashleigh Sent on 09/16/2011I don't think I'll ever be able to put into words how deeply thankful I am to Stacey and Corey, but I'll give it a try.
Your Life Photography has been with me through the wedding planning process from day one. I am currently located in the Central PA area and heard about Your Life Photography (specifically Stacey) through a mutual friend. As soon as I saw the website, and how beautiful Stacey's pictures were, I was instantly hooked. We emailed and exchanged phone calls for a few weeks before setting up a time to book engagement pictures. We traveled down to Richmond, VA one weekend to have our engagement pictures done and we had just an amazing time. It was unusually hot that day but it didn't matter because we were all just too busy laughing and having a great time.
After that session my fiance, Ben, and I knew we needed to have Stacey as our wedding photographer. Even though we're located in PA Stacey was more than willing to make the trip just for us. As soon as she and Corey arrived in PA I never felt as if they were there because they were hired just to take our pictures. They were our friends here to celebrate this amazing day with us. Stacey spent most of the day with my bridesmaids and myself while Corey went to hang out with Ben and his groomsmen. I think those pictures, of all of us getting ready, are some of my favorite pictures. The girls sitting around talking, getting our hair and makeup done, there was even some Zumba dancing going on in the salon! Stacey caught it all.
Ben and I chose to do a first look and I would highly recommend this. Stacey and Corey were able to take some amazing pictures of not just Ben and I but of our wedding party as well. The whole time we all felt so relaxed, not rushed at all; we were there to have fun! The rest of the day felt like such a blur, but we'll always have these amazing photos to remember it by and for that I will always be eternally grateful to both Stacey and Corey.
As I said before, I don't think I'll ever be able to say enough nice things about Your Life Photography. Take some time to check out their website, as soon as you see those photos you'll be instantly hooked too!
Oh and one last note, when it comes time to do the seating arrangements for the reception, please give your photographers a seat to sit down and eat...they love small gestures like this!! -

Jaclyn Sent on 05/26/2011My husband and I got engaged May 2010. One of the first vendors I started researching for were photographers. We knew from other friends’ weddings, photographers get booked way in advance, especially the good ones. Brian, my husband and I live in Richmond, VA. We felt like Richmond would have a slew of photographers that we could choose from. We browsed several websites and made a few phone calls. The costs versus the services were outrageous. And even when we did find a few that we liked they were already booked. After a couple weeks of restricting my search to the Richmond area I decided to explore Virginia as a whole. That is when I came across Your Life Photography.
The most appealing service to me was that there are two photographers all day, the day of your wedding. Stacey and Corey offered to split up and have Stacey stay with the girls while Corey hung out with the guys. And they will stay for the entire wedding, reception, until we left. No time restrictions, not extra fees, no worries. I gave them a call to set up a meeting. Stacey and Corey drove all the way to Richmond, brought beautiful albums of pictures and they were so much fun to talk to, full of stories and great personality. I was sold!
That is just the beginning of my wonderful experience with Your Life Photography. We elected to have an engagement picture session. Every couple months Stacey would email me just to touch base. She would tell me things I could be thinking about for the set up of the engagement pictures, the list I should create so that pictures the day of would go quickly and smoothly. She reminded me of things my planner didn’t inform me of. She shared ideas and answered emails quickly.
On the date we set for our engagement pictures it rained. Stacey and I communicated the day before, short notice and she offered to wait a day and come to Richmond on Sunday instead of Saturday. She switched family plans and Corey was willing to switch and come join her. It saved our pictures, Saturday was rainy and cloudy all day. The Sunday for our session was gorgeous, warm, sunny, perfect.
Brian and I were worried about going around town and being followed by photographers. We really thought we’d be embarrassed. Stacey and Corey make you so comfortable, they set you up with a beautiful background, even though you may not think its pretty, trust them it is in pictures, they give you tips and guidance and set you lose. The pictures turned out wonderful. They are my favorite pictures of us just being together. We love them so much we ended up making a photo book of them and using that as our guest book. Our guests loved it.
For the wedding, Stacey and Corey arrived at the Bed and Breakfast myself, my bridesmaids and my family were staying at in Kilmarnock, VA around 8:30am Saturday morning. They hung out patiently, took pictures of the flowers and around the Inn. As the day progressed, Stacey and Corey came with me and my girls to the salon. The pictures from that are intimate and mean so much to me. They were fun, unobtrusive. Corey left half way through to meet up with Brian and his guys. They went to the golf course and Corey got pictures of everything. He helped the guys loosen up and got them to take some hilarious pictures. They hung out with each of us for the rest of the day. Stacey got creative pictures of my dress, shoes and jewelry. We have great shots of our little pug, love of our life, our family and friends just hanging out all day.
During the wedding ceremony, I didn’t see either of them. But they were obviously close by because the pictures they got were awesome. Stacey was right about making the list of formal pictures to be done after the ceremony. Corey held the list and called out names, Stacey took shots. They flew. I think we got all of our formals done in 30 minutes, I don’t know how she did it, I had quite a list and we wanted pictures in front of the water and with the horse and carriage the two were at opposite ends of the site.
Stacey took bridal shots of me; Corey took formal shots alone with Brian. They took pictures of all of our friends at the reception, creative shots of our centerpieces, wedding bands, cake, band and their instruments. I cannot brag enough about the two of them. We got a link to our wedding pictures while we were on our honeymoon. She had them ready in like 3 days. She is going to make a professional photo book for us as well. I can’t wait to see, I know it’s going to beautiful!
Your Life Photography was by far my most favorite vendor to deal with out of everyone we worked with for our wedding. Second favorite, Gary Randal, the videographer that Stacey recommended. You will be absolutely thrilled with the decision to work with Stacey and Corey. When the wedding day is over all you have is your pictures and a video, if so chose to do it (and I recommend it). I have looked at our pictures over and over and we’ve only been married for a week and a half. I will cherish them forever.
