Isabel was an amazing wedding celebrant and made our wedding ceremony so special. The feedback from all of our guests was the ceremony was the best they have ever witnessed. As soon as we met Isabel over zoom, we knew she was the person to marry us and from that point, Isabel really got to know us as a couple and put together a ceremony that was personally tailored to us as a couple and our journey. Any amends to the ceremony, Isabel was more than happy to accommodate and provided the new version very quickly. We are extremely grateful to Isabel, who will always be remembered in our lives. -

We are US-based and decided to have an intimate ceremony in the Douro Valley. We feel so lucky we found Vanessa. After a 90-minute meeting, we we were blown away by how spot-on Vanessa's first draft of our ceremony was. She approached our ceremony with such care and consideration, and she always encouraged open, honest feedback. We were so pleased with how personal and unique our ceremony felt to us. We cannot thank Vanessa enough for making our day so memorable. -

Highly recommend! Easy to work with, professional and FUN
So pleased that we booked our wedding celebrant, Shahnaz! We needed a bi-lingual ceremony and the company were able to understand our needs and matched us with Shahnaz, who was just perfect. We met before booking to make sure that we were happy with the vibe, and then had several meetings over the months leading up to the big day. Shahnaz even joined us in-person when we were in Portugal for the menu tasting, so that she could see the venue and meet the staff. It filled us with confidence that the day would go smoothly, and we even asked her to stay on to coordinate more of the day beyond the ceremony.
Shahnaz wrote the most amazing ceremony for us - so our style, fun, light, full of love, and the ceremony was our favourite part of the day!
Payment etc was really easy, and both our celebrant and the company were full of tips and quick to answer any questions. Highly recommend! -

Vanessa was the wedding celebrant for our big day and what can I say, it was an absolute pleasure working with her to craft the perfect passage to read while we were stood facing the Douro river during our ceremony.
We spoke to Vanessa over a video call first to gather research on our relationship, stories and experiences. After this conversation she condensed all these things down into a passage that read our story and gave our friends and family a more intimate view into our relationship and allowed us the opportunity to edit until we had the final draft.
On the big day, her delivery was stellar and suffice to say, there were tears, laughter and much joy to be felt amongst us and the other guests. I would recommend anyone who has the chance to work with Vanessa or the rest of the team, to take that opportunity and add a personal touch to the ceremony. -

Can’t recommend Rita enough, she is a lovely person and made planning a Wedding Ceremony abroad easy. We got to know her over the Summer and thoroughly enjoyed all of our conversations as she makes you feel relaxed and at ease when answering questions about yourself. Then on the day the actual Ceremony was amazing, all of our guests couldn’t get over how personal and lovely it was. It felt like a friend was Marrying us. Thanks is not enough for the memorable Ceremony we had. :)

Best experience ever!
I was unaware of the role of a celebrant in the ceremony until I "crossed" in an instagram event with sweet Isabel. In the few seconds that I saw a part of the celebration that Isabel was doing, I realized at the moment that Isabel would have to be present on our day and today, a month after we were married, I have no doubts that it was the best choice of our wedding . Isabel prepared a wonderful ceremony that touched all our guests in a very special way. Such was the impact that even today our family and friends speak of this magical moment.
From the first contact until the wedding day, Isabel was super attentive and extremely available with us and committed all her love and care in preparing for such an unforgettable ceremony.
I do not know how or in what context but I know that I want Isabel to be present in more important moments of our life because her sweetness brings an even more special touch to the moment.

From the first contact, Isabel gave us the serenity that we had found the right person to carry out the ceremony in the intimate and emotional format we wanted.
She managed, in an exemplary way, to tell her our love story. This sharing was done in detail because there was a sweetness and a genuine desire to live with us this very special moment of our lives.
More than providing a service, we had an unconditional support from Isabel. It was our dear ally during the reverse that the wedding plans were suffering due to the Pandemic, but always reinforcing us that it would be magical. And it was, surreally wonderful. We felt that we were like living in a giant bubble of love.
Without a doubt, Isabel was able to overcome any expectations, especially with such an exciting and dedicated devotion where we didn't even know if we lived or dreamed. Her professionalism is impeccable and, above all, tenderly empathetic. This is the encouragement that we all need at this stage in the world: to continue to create memories about Love at this strange times.
All the guests loved it and were touched by the ceremony, they were delighted to talk about all the details and were very touched by the environment that was experienced in the middle of the forest of Vale da Corga.

Porto Elopement
Carly was very accommodating, personable and absolutely wonderful. Our elopement was an impromptu addition to a planned vacation to Portugal. Carly was able to be flexible while facing a tight timeline. In a very short period of time, Carly was able to tease out the unique qualities of our relationship and create a ceremony that was personal and captured our love story perfectly! Planning a wedding is always a huge endeavor talking to a lot of vendors, comparing different options, taking decisions and wondering what would have happened if you would have decided differently. Not so with Carly!
We immediately received a good vibe from her during our first call, decided to go with her and did not regret it any time.
The following months we had several alignment calls to get to know each other better and to determine both structure and content of our ceremony. When we received the first draft of her speech for review, my fiancée and I had tears in our eyes as it was so on point. The outcome was a ceremony that felt so authentic and just like… us.
During our wedding day, Carly played an extraordinary role being our anchor with her experience and peaceful aura during a day where so many things were happening around us.
To sum everything up:
Carly's support before and during the wedding was just outstanding! We cannot recommend highly enough for everything she has done for us.
All the interactions with her in advance and during the day from sharing our stories to create a lovely ceremonial speech definitely made the whole experience unforgettable for us. -

Carly is a true master of her work! Steve and I got married in August and had been planning our wedding for an exact year before that. Our wedding planner felt that Carly's personality would match up amazingly with ours and she was so right! From the moment we met her through video chat, we felt so excited about the idea that she was going to get to know us intimately so that she could tell our story! Throughout the next few months, she was incredibly flexible and understanding with the meeting days and times. We never felt rushed and always felt heard and appreciated. She is passionate, dedicated, and incredibly charming with her words. Steve and I felt like our story was being told for the very first time in front of those we love most. The words and message were amazing, thanks to Carly. She brought all of the positive vibes! 🙌🏽 -

Carly was an absolute dream to work with, and made our day even better than I imagined. Planning a private destination elopement so far away was much easier than I expected - due to having an awesome team which included Carly as a big part of that! She was flexible with scheduling phone meetings (since we were half way around the world and 8 hours behind her), and always seemed genuinely excited to learn about us as a couple, and what she could do to make our day perfect. Her custom ceremony was amazing, and the perfect mix of traditional, silly, and romantic for my husband and me. When we finally met Carly in person, it was like meeting an old friend (as we all ran to catch our boat before it left)! I wish we could have hung out with her longer! -

A truly incredible service
From our very first contact with Carly, she was wonderful. After an in-depth conversation about our lives and how we met, Carly produced the most incredible, heart-felt and funny ceremony, far beyond anything we could have ever wished for, so much so that we almost cried the first time we read it. Carly was very accommodating and travelled to Lagos for our wedding. She always went above and beyond with all the finer details, even down to letting us know about the Ryanair strikes the week before our wedding. Not only did she produce a brilliant script, but her delivery was fantastic too. Our guests went on a rollercoaster of emotions, laughing and crying at various parts, and even commenting that it was the loveliest ceremony they had been to.
Thank you, Carly, for making our day even more special by being so wonderful. You truly are the best!

Having Carly do our ceremony was a dream!! ❤️
There are lots of little things about our wedding day that we could’ve changed or done without, but Carly and the ceremony we created with her was absolutely PERFECT! It was the most uniquely “US” part of the whole day. Our closest family and friends got to know us that much deeper because of it. Both of us are a little shy, but had a great desire to communicate our deep love for one another (without having to give a big speech or vows ourselves!) Carly did such an amazing job at bringing our unique story and devotion for each other to light. The script was humourous and deeply hearfelt. However, if this isn’t what you are looking for, I am confident she could do anything! She is highly professional, organized and open. She had no preconceived notions or agenda on how she thought the ceremony should be done. She came with so many different unique ideas to help guide us to find exactly what fit for us. She also made me feel extremely comfortable in asking for edits and revisions. She understands what a special moment this is. And lastly, her presence and energy on the actual day was amazing! We are so grateful for Carly. :)

I can't recommend Carly and her services enough for couples looking to create a unique and truly special ceremony.
Myself being British born, raised in Portugal and marrying an Indian born in rural India and living in Delhi for 20 years...we had two very different backgrounds blending into a new life together and the regular wedding quota just didn't fit our personalities.
This is when we found Your European Wedding Celebrant. Searching for the unique...thats exactly what we found! Carly being married to a man of another nationality to hers she knew exactly what she was talking about and the kind of thing couples like us were searching for.
The service starts and ends with personal. An introductory call, followed by a long video call with you and your partner to find out all about each of you and your love story right down to the details of what you wish your ceremony to look like. On top of that Carly sent us so many helpful tips on creating a unique wedding ceremony tailored specifically for us in a hand crafted wedding pack full of inspiring ideas. You can literally create whatever you want and this service prides itself on that...truly giving you and your partner the space to create something authentically yours and we are so incredibly grateful to Carly for gifting us that! In our intimate ceremony we had at home in the Algarve, Portugal, it was East Meets West under the sun and so full of warmth, love and joy! A day and ceremony we will never forget!
I recommend this for everyone and anyone and especially those who are having troubles finding their footing because they don't just want the standard, they want something special, personal and uniquely theirs. Because your love is not like others love. It can only be yours. Carly and the Your European Wedding Celebrant Team totally gets that!

Vanessa made our wedding everything we dreamed it could be! Everyone commented on how personal and special our ceremony was and that they didn't want it to end! We surely can recommend these services, at least based on our experience with Isabel.
She was throughout the process always very kind and attentive to details, curious to know us better, and to try to convey our story in the most real and lovely possible way.
The preparation work was very good, and she took very well our feedback in the few points we would like to get adjusted.
The ceremony itself was perfect, and she not only made it fantastic for us, we got several guests commenting how good it was and how touching as well.
So surely, if you need someone to be your celebrant, I would definitively recommend Isabel. -

Just magical
We heard about carly through some people that have worked with her previously. And although it was only 1 month before our wedding, Carly was just so kind and receptive and we can't thank her enough. She is truly a magical story teller and made our day so much more special with her words and sense of humor. She is one of those people that we felt empathy with, although we didn't have the chance to spend much time with her. Everybody loved the ceremony and we are completly in love with how it turned out. Even with such short notice she was so efficient and made us totally at ease, reminding us that the cermony was for us and that we could feel totally free to do or change anything suggested. Carly you are truly great, we love your passion for your job! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Hope our paths will cross again, sometime. -
