Your European Wedding Celebrant is a collective of symbolic wedding celebrants based in Portugal and was founded in 2014. Offering to preside over marriage ceremonies across the continent of Europe, we aim to create personalized events which reflect your distinctive bond. Founded by Carly Petracco, the team comprises several officiants eager to create your perfect wedding ceremony in Portugal and across Europe.
**IMPORTANT NOTE**
We only conduct symbolic wedding ceremonies. In Portugal the only way to be legally married is by a priest or a lawyer, we are neither. So while we cannot marry you in the highly formalized and impersonal way that the law requires, we can, however, conduct an entirely bespoke wedding ceremony for your day. Services Offered
The bespoke ceremonies created by Your European Wedding Celebrant allow couples seeking to celebrate a destination wedding to do so in safe hands. Through a combination of thorough communication, coordination, planning, and creative assistance, we are able to bring your destination ceremony to life - right up to the moment you walk down the aisle as newlyweds.
Typically, we preside over ceremonies that last no longer than thirty minutes. This allows an unhurried, lovingly crafted ceremony to take place while keeping everything running smoothly and in accordance with the rest of the day’s schedule.
Conveniently, Your European Wedding Celebrant offers multilingual services - we can officiate your ceremony in English, French, German, Portuguese (Continental and Brazilian), Flemish, Russian, Italian, Spanish or a combination of those languages.
Regardless of the type of celebration taking place, we are able to accommodate your needs thanks to our inclusive approach.
