Mark did a fabulous job as our officiant! This is such an important part of your special day and we couldn't be happier with how it all turned out! Our guests were talking about how much they loved the ceremony all night, and that’s all thanks to Mark!
We loved how he asked everyone to put their phones away, allowing everyone to truly be present in the moment and allow the photographer to capture great photos. The “I love you because” he suggested us doing was a HUGE hit and really added a personal touch that made the ceremony even more special. His tone, delivery, and attention to detail were perfect, and we felt so lucky to work with Mark - He helped guide us through the entire way and made the day seamless.

When we first were looking for an officiant for a wedding, Mark was recommended to us through our venue. When we were finally able to talk with him, we knew he was the perfect match for us and would do a wonderful job officiating our wedding. Over the course of the year planning our wedding, he would check in every once in a while and help with our ceremony. All of our vendors spoke so highly of him, so we knew we were in good hands. On the day of the wedding, we met him for the first time in person. He was so nice and personable. Our ceremony was perfect and better than we could’ve even imagined. We received soooo many compliments on our ceremony and it was all because of Mark! He was easy to communicate with, provided us various readings to choose from, and really tailored the ceremony to us and our relationship. I was worried I wasn't going to find an officiant who could deliver a meaningful, non-religious ceremony but Mark did. He provided a list of non-religious readings to choose from and helped us decide which worked best for our day. Mark was phenomenal as our wedding officiant. So many of our guests have reached out to say it was the most emotional and personalized wedding ceremony they have ever been to and we unbiasedly agree! Mark had creative ideas that we included into our ceremony and was totally open to any ideas that we had including a Celtic Hand-fasting ceremony. While we didn't know Mark personally before this, you would have never guessed. Once we planned our ceremony in Flagstaff, we wanted to find a local officiant. In comes Mark. After speaking with him, it was clear why he had so many reviews. He was professional, personable and this definitely wasn't his first rodeo. The custom ceremony draft was awesome- you're able to pick multiple sections and move/add/delete anything you'd like. We ended up doing our ceremony pretty last minute, but Mark didn't even bat an eye. We also had to reschedule the ceremony time (Sorry Mark- my bad!) and he worked with us to make it happen. Be sure to do the "I Love You Because" - it's definitely the highlight. Thanks for all your help Mark, we couldn't have done it without you!

Best ceremony, everyone had tears!
Mark was recommended as the reverend/ officiant for our ceremony from a local Scottsdale neighbor. We did a zoom call meet and greet and knew immediately he was the one we wanted to unite my fiancé and I in marriage. The whole process was great with Mark providing a lot of options for the ceremony. Our only regret is that we did one pre marital counseling session and both agree that was so impactful we wish we had done the package of six that he offers. Mark is kind, insightful, a wealth of wisdom and quite the wordsmith. Highly, highly recommend!

Mark was recommended highly to us from the wedding venue. We did our first meeting and it was nice and easy just getting to know us. COVID hit and Mark was beyond flexible in accommodating our change of date. Mark was quick to respond and provided great options for the service. During the rehearsal, Mark provided excellent guidance for the big day and even made sure we were in place for great pictures. Amazing, book him-you will not regret it
Where to begin, Mark was absolutely incredible! He was responsive, he was timely, he was soo nice and so professional. Each of our guests kept complementing him and especially his wine box ceremony. He didn’t miss one word in the ceremony and was so confident and he was even comical as this is one of the most nerve racking days of people’s lives. Also, we chose him because as we are still religious, we didn’t consistently attend church so we didn’t have a pastor. Thankfully, we found Mark and boy did he deliver. Wedding Officiate Mark Culbertson really came through with a very last minute request to officiate a wedding on the steps of the Prescott Court House, Arizona
.
Due to COVID19 both our schedules we 12hrs a day plus. We were able to coordinate a small window of free time to fulfill our dreams of tying the knot in Prescott.
We contacted Mark within 12hrs of our window and without hesitation Mark spung into action. Not only did he agree to officiate the wedding but he was able to assist us in putting together an extremely beautiful writing of wedding vowes for each of us.

A fairytale ceremony...
My wife and I cannot recommend Mark highly enough. Of all the professionals we hired for our wedding (and, as anyone planning a wedding knows, it was a lot) Mark stood out as the best choice we made. As an officiant, Mark’s charisma is surpassed only by his empathy as he radiates passion and joy. The way Mark conveyed our story and delivered our “I love because” statements had our friends and family laughing, crying, and—above all—fully appreciating our love for each other. So many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the ceremony, praising Mark and excellent work we did. If Mark had been any better, he might have stolen the spotlight from us; yet, Mark’s charming albeit humble approach was perfect: he conducted a beautiful ceremony while keeping the focus on the bridge and groom. Hire Officiant Mark Culbertson
Pastor Mark was wonderful and unique. He sets himself apart from others by incorporating things such as "I love you because" which makes the whole event more special. I loved that he sends so many options of verbiage to choose from and you have the opportunity to pick which best suits you. He also did a wonderful job during our sand ceremony. Pastor Mark was extremely prompt, punctual and reliable in his travels to Chino Valley for our wedding. Hire Mark and you will not regret it. He is gentle and calm and not overbearing. I had interviewed others that made me feel like I was on an interview for marriage and felt like they were questioning me on whether marriage was right. I did not like that feeling as we are in our forties and are very aware of what we are doing and ready for. Pastor Mark never gave me that feeling and I knew he was the right one.

Our experience with Mark was awesome. We took covenant marriage classes from Mark along with him being our offiant. Marks guidence helped us work thru some issues and helped us focus on us instead of all the little stuff. Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the first chat with him we knew we were making the right choice. He gave us tons of options to make our ceremony unique to us and he has some really amazing additions to the ceremony that I've never seen before and our guests loved! We had so many complements on the wine box ceremony and I love you because! Mark is the perfect combination of funny and serious and even added in some light scripture that we asked for. A Beautiful Ceremony
We had the pleasure of working with Mark for our wedding. My husband and I are from out of town an needed someone to officiate our wedding, and our wedding planner suggested Mark. He was amazing. We cannot thank him enough for all of his help - it was absolutely perfect! I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on the ceremony, and several people thought we had known your or years! We personalized and customized our ceremony with mark to make it exactly what we anted and we are so thrilled with how it went!

Mark made our wedding day so special. I was so nervous the day of and he guided me through the ceremony with ease and provided such a comfort. He really does know how to create the most perfect ceremony that brings both tears and laughter. We were very lost in how we wanted our vows to go and he helped us create the perfect ceremony. We received many compliments on how he did such a good job. We also did a premarital counseling session with him which we found super beneficial. He is just so easy to talk to. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing experience!
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a few years ago that Mark officiated at and knew that I wanted him for my own wedding! He's very responsive and professional and made our ceremony perfect. We came into the ceremony planning with no clue what we wanted and he easily helped us structure our ceremony that we got compliments on afterwards for being engaging, not too long/short, and personal.

Wedding customized to what you want!
Mark was great in helping get our dream ceremony the way we wanted it! We wanted some religious touches in our ceremony that he assisted with which was awesome. From the initial video chat with Mark, he made us feel comfortable and confident we were receiving the ceremony of our dreams. He listened to the image we had, and with a few of his own touches we were confident come wedding day. Even on our wedding day, Mark checked in on both of us and calmed some nerves we had. He is both passionate and professional in what he does. Severally wedding guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was. We definitely recommend!

Mark has made the ceremony process so amazing!!! Neither my better half nor me had any worries or stress about It. It was so smooth, not rushed, and full of pure joy . We laughed and smiled and enjoyed every second of it.
Mark made sure to take care of every detail and made us familiar with the ceremony before hand. We did not do rehearsal because with Mark’s great professionalism there was no real need to!!!

So personal - received so many compliments
We hired Mark from out of state. He talked to us through Skype and email to help decide if he was right for us. After we hired him, he sent us drafts of our ceremony and helped us choose the components that were right for us. He suggested a wine box ceremony which we and our guests all loved. He also suggested a "because I love you" reading in which the bride and groom submitted a list of reasons why we love each other and he read it during the ceremony. We received SO many compliments after the ceremony. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Exactly what we wanted!
My husband and I are so happy we hired Mark! He gave us so many options to choose from for our ceremony to really customize it our liking and reflect us as a couple. We both loved how he blended a little bit of humor with more traditional and sentimental elements. It was the perfect balance! Our guests were both crying and laughing in the best way possible. I just spoke with my Mom yesterday and she is still receiving phone calls a month later from family and friends about how beautiful our ceremony was and how special Mark made the day for us! Mark was amazing!! From the beginning of my planning, I knew I wanted a very romantic/ intimate ceremony. I wanted it to be about us and share with our friends and family our story. We facetimed Mark about a year out from the wedding and we booked him right away. His personality is awesome and the general outline he does for his weddings was exactly what we wanted. We loved all the special touches he recommended. When it came time to the actually wedding day, he blew us away. We wanted people to laugh, cry, and be present. Mark made all of those things happen. He made us feel like we knew him for years. Our ceremony was an absolute dream, and we still have people telling us how beautiful and romantic it was. From what we heard, there was not a dry eye out there. I wouldn't highly recommend using Mark as you officiant. He was everything and beyond that we wanted on our special day!! It was unforgettable.

If you want the most memorable ceremony absolutely choose Mark! All our guests complimented on how much they enjoyed our ceremony. Truly made our wedding ceremony magical
Mark was extremely easy to work with, flexible, and offered many different options to customize our ceremony. My husband and I wanted a nondenominational ceremony with some lightheartedness, and Mark was perfect for that! Many guests commented on how wonderful the ceremony was- there was a lot of laughter and a lot of tears. My favorite parts of the ceremony were our story, where he compiled our different versions of our relationship, and I Love You Because, where he had us write down reasons why we loved each other. Mark was everything we wanted and needed for our ceremony! It was perfect and couldn’t have gone any better! He allowed us to make it our own which was super important to us. He was also super flexible; my husband works out of town a lot so we were able to meet him on different occasions because of that reason! He makes you feel super comfortable during the whole process and even while you are standing there in front of everyone. After the ceremony, everyone asked how long we have known Mark, he did so amazing that it came off as if we’ve been friends for a long time. I would definitely recommend him for your wedding!!

Our favorite part was the “I love you because”! So many guests came up to us and complimented the ceremony! Would definitely recommend Mark for anyone planning a wedding!

When we first contacted Mark he responded promptly and after speaking to him this first time he was hired! Mark had fun and unique ideas for the ceremony and he helped us to incorporate our personal moments and ideas to create a beautiful ceremony. The guests raved about it for weeks after the ceremony. Having Mark officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we made for the big day! He was so friendly, professional and provided a nice sense of calm. His genuine nature came across in the way he spoke at our ceremony and many guests commented on how great it was. He helped us personalize every aspect and included plenty of guiding points and examples for the layout of the ceremony. We also did pre-marriage classes with Mark in the weeks leading up to the wedding, which was a great experience! We live out of state and he was always accommodating to speak via Skype for these meetings and gave us great tips, tricks and advice along the way. Would highly recommend Mark for officiating and for pre-marriage classes! Thank you!

Mark was wonderful to work with! He sent us a draft of the ceremony with a lot of options and helped us create a personal ceremony. All of our guests commented on how great Mark was, especially with the “I love you because...” and “Our Story!” It was really helpful to have him at our rehearsal to guide us through the process. Mark did an amazing job with our ceremony. From the moment we met with him my husband and I knew that we wanted to work with him. I was very nervous for our ceremony and he has a calming effect that helped relieve my wedding day jitters. He executed our ceremony flawlessly and our guests told us how perfect it was. They said they laughed and they cried and it flowed beautifully. We were very pleased with Mark and would highly recommend him!

Our ceremony was everything we wanted and more, thanks to our great officiant, Mark. The way he allows you to have an intimate and personalized ceremony is amazing. He walked us through everything and made sure we were comfortable with every aspect. Our wedding was outside of his normal area and he had no problem traveling. He was there early for the ceremony to review and discuss all of the points. We were not able to meet in person, but Mark communicated quickly and efficiently over email. Mark does great work and we would highly recommend him.

Where to even begin..my husband and I were in need of an officiant 1 month away from our wedding date due to an unexpected cancellation. Needless to say, we were in a bit of a panic. I scoured the internet in search of the perfect officiant and came across Mark on wedding wire. I emailed him in hopes he was not already booked and he responded within an hour, highly accommodating to our situation and open availability. My husband and I met Mark the next day and knew we had found someone special. Mark was very patient with us, slowly walked us through his "typical" ceremony, and sought feedback from us to ensure the ceremony was as personalized as possible. Mark is a true professional and made everything so easy - he is an excellent communicator and highly punctual. The ceremony for my husband and I was very special - it had a lovely balance between comedy, seriousness, and love. Our guests were very fond of the "I Love You Because.." portion, as were my husband and I. I would recommend Mark to any newly engaged couple. He truly goes above and beyond for his clients. Mark was wonderful as an officiant. A couple of our guests commented on how great our ceremony was. He worked with us ahead of time to draft the perfect ceremony and vows for our (what I thought was going to be) elopement...but my husband surprised us with our entire immediate families being there! Mark works with you to make your ceremony exactly what you want to make it and was extremely attentive and easy to work with.

Mark deserves 10 STARS!!! He responds to emails quickly, and is early to the wedding to make sure everything goes perfectly. We looked at a lot of different people to officiate our wedding, and Mark was the one we went with. He is very friendly and attentive to all your needs. Mark was an amazing officiant! We were having a destination wedding in Arizona, and didn't have time to interview multiple vendors. We met with Mark once, and hired him. He surpassed our expectations!! He was AMAZiING! He was able to customize our ceremony for us, and our guests loved it. They all mentioned how intimate the ceremony was, and their favorite part was the, "I Love You Because." Multiple guests came up to me during the reception and said that our ceremony was the best ceremony they've ever been to. He was so easy to work with, very responsive, and very calm. He also was very funny, and kept the audience engaged. I would recommend Mark 100%!!

We had a destination wedding in Scottsdale earlier this year and found Mark online. After one phone call I knew he would be perfect for the job. Mark was absolutely amazing! We met only once but he was able to capture and deliver our stories and love for each other beautifully at our ceremony. He is a true professional and we would absolutely recommend him 1000 times over. Our guests were stunned with how personal he was able to make our ceremony and many said this is the way they want their children to be married. Make sure you take advantage of his unique “Our Story” and “I Love You Because”! I can't say enough good things about Mark! He was so wonderful to work with. He perfectly captured our relationship and both our personalities in the ceremony even though we only met once in person. Our guests all raved over his expert delivery and just how much they loved the ceremony, especially our story and the I Love You Becauses (you have to do these- it's the best part!). The ceremony was so personal and unique and he delivered it so smoothly. He put our nerves at ease the minute he got there and walked us through what we needed to do. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect, fun-loving ceremony. I would recommend Mark a thousand times over to anyone getting married!!

Mark did a fantastic job officiating our wedding ceremony! He is a true professional and worked with us to create a ceremony that was fun and unique while maintaining a traditional feel. He’s very good at what he does and helped everything go smoothly at the rehearsal and on the wedding day. He helped with everything from getting and submitting the marriage license to making sure the wedding party knew exactly what to do. He was funny and sincere without stealing the spotlight. Mark was great to work with! We planned our wedding cross-country and actually only met him the day of the ceremony. Even with the lack of face time meetings he was very professional and responsive. One of my concerns with having a non-denominational wedding was trying to find ways to incorporate other readings and blessings. Mark had great options and was open to hear our thoughts. He is very kind, lighthearted, and helps remind you to be in the moment (I'm sure we all know how stressful planning can be :P) Mark's cadence and delivery is perfect and everyone commented on how beautiful the ceremony was.

Mark was my officiant for my wedding last week. I cannot recommend him enough. Mark was very easy to communicate with and always responded to emails very quickly. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early and sat down with my now husband and I and went over everything again. He had such a calm demeanor and really put my nerves at ease. The ceremony was absolutely perfect. He kept it the perfect length. The 'I love you because' portion that served as our vows made the ceremony really unique and special. We have received so many compliments on Mark and the wonderful ceremony he performed. I can't thank Mark enough for marrying us. I couldn't have asked for anything more. He beyond exceeded my expectations.
