I truly get emotional everytime I think about my wedding day florals from York Flower Shop. They were everything I envisioned and truly were stunning flowers. Gretchen and the team at York Flower Shop made picking wedding florals such an easy process and they helped me keep my vision alive within the budget I had given them. I will forever be grateful to Gretchen and this flower shop and I highly recommend there services. -

York Flower Shop was my florist for my July 2024 wedding at the Viewpoint Hotel in York, Maine. It is hard to express how grateful I am for Gretchen and York Flower Shop Team. Gretchen has superior communication and her warm and understanding personality made me feel confident, excited, and reassured that she would execute my vision. My original vision was much more costly than I budgeted for; however Gretchen was able to advise me on how to essentially achieve the look I wanted for about 1/4 of the price. She is very upfront and reasonable when it comes to cost. She is willing to work with ALL budgets, which is very rare in the wedding industry nowadays. Gretchen is a true professional and was there the day of to ensure all vendors understood my vision. She also did our rehearsal dinner florals and encourage us to re-purpose as much as possible, which helped keep us in budget. The florals were STUNNING - I received so many compliments. See the pictures (captured by Jules from Scarlet Roots!) attached. Simply put, she is the best! Book them now!! -

York Flower Shop absolutely delivered and created stunning florals to complete our day! Gretchen and team were so kind and easy to work with. They listened to our ideas and vision and brought it to life beautifully. We appreciated being able to sit down with them and create a plan together. They were so genuine and the flowers were absolutely stunning, lasting so long and making the day so beautiful. -

Having grown up in York, it was a no-brainer for me to reach out to York Flower Shop to do the flowers for my wedding. From my very first call with Gretchen, to the delivery + installation on my wedding day - they were incredible to work with. They helped bring my vision to life along the way and gave me so many helpful suggestions. I was absolutely in love with my flowers - I wish I could have preserved them all in time and kept them forever! Thank you Gretchen and team! We are forever grateful. -

Absolutely amazing!!!
Gretchen was super laid back and easy to work with. She immediately understood my vision. The flower arrangements and bouquets were so much better then I could have imagined, I was OBSESSED. I had tons of complements from guests too! I also met Christine who delivered my flowers in perfect condition. Highly recommend!!! -

Absolutely stunning flowers!
I am so happy that we worked with York Flower Shop! They were familiar with the venue and were able to seamlessly deliver the flowers and fit into the day. During the planning process they spoke to me and my mom multiple times over the phone. I wasn't able to go there because of the pandemic, but did send pictures. Based on what we talked about over the phone they made absolutely beautiful bouquets and centerpieces. They also have lots of rentals available! I couldn't be happier! -

I was planning a destination wedding and was out of state for the entire process. Everything was super easy to do from a distance and Gretchen was amazing to talk to. Early frost had caused one of my main flowers in the bouquet to be unavailable at the last min- They picked the perfect substitute, so gorgeous and perfect. I loved my flowers, she nailed my style (from over the phone) and I am so happy how everything turned out. I ordered bouquets and boutonnieres. I also ordered stems and bunches of eucalyptus and flowers for centerpieces that I was making myself- and a cake topper, which was gorgeous. -

The arrangements and this florist puts out are down right gorgeous. My flowers were amazing, fresh and lasted days! I change my mind about a hundred times and they never hesitated in guiding my thoughts or made me feel guilty for being indecisive. They were awesome to work with and I hope to need their services again! -

Molly Sent on 07/24/2017I was very happy with my experience with York Flower Shop. I met with Gretchen for a consultation, and she was very polite and professional. She looked at my picture ideas, listened to my vision, and offered advice and options within my budget. She had a great professional knowledge of what would be appropriate for the season and was able to offer even more ideas. York Flower Shop did all the bouquets, as well as the boutineers for the guys, and some posies for the moms and grandmothers. They also put together some multi-function pieces, such as small flower arrangements that hung from shepherds hooks for the ceremony outside which were then were brought inside for table decorations, and the long piece that went over the arbor outside, which they made into 3 pieces and were able to drape on 3 different tables (including our sweetheart table) once the ceremony was over. The flowers and greenery came out beautifully and were everything we had imagined. (The only thing my mom didn’t love was that the posies came out bigger than she wanted. Apparently she only wanted a few stems, but they turned into small bouquets. I think she was just afraid of feeling like a bridesmaid haha!) All in all, extremely happy with York Flower Shop’s work! -

Lindsey Sent on 12/31/2014Picking our flowers was probably the hardest part of our wedding. When I first started interviewing with different florists, we went to York Flower Shop first. At that point we had no idea what we were looking for, but as the week went on and we met with other florists I knew exactly what I wanted. Every other florist we met with had their own vision. I wanted to have only daisies. Every one said I had to have all these other kinds of flowers and hydrangeas. At the end of the week I took a chance and met with York Flower shop again. We sat down with Laura and we made the daisy wedding flowers I wanted. Our wedding flowers came out amazing. They listened to all of my ideas without any issue. And we ended up spending less than we budgeted for! -

Due to a mixup, I had to change our flower vendor 6 months before the wedding and I was very worried that no one would be able to accommodate the order. York Flowers not only accommodated, but went above and beyond! They were familiar with our reception venue and worked directly with them to coordinate the flower set-up in the morning--so I didn't have to worry about a thing. They called me to discuss our ideal wedding vibe and favorite colors and then they built the gorgeous centerpieces you see in the photos. It was so easy that I can't think of anything else to say. We absolutely recommend them! -
