Monique from YOJ Events is truly a godsend! From the moment we started planning to the very last moment of our wedding day, she made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Her impeccable attention to detail and dedication were unmatched—working, texting, and emailing us seven days a week to ensure every single element of our day was perfectly accommodated.

Not only are we deeply grateful for her professionalism and expertise, but we are also incredibly thankful for the genuine friendship we formed with her throughout this journey. Just Call Jessica @ YOJ!

Mother-of-the Bride here… Overwhelmed with happiness!

One year ago, we visited the Charleston venue where my daughter would be getting married. We also met Jessica Laskow of Yoj Events on that visit. Today, I am sitting at home, with my feet up, reflecting on the perfection of my daughter’s (& new son’s) wedding.

The planning began with the list of suggested vendors that Jess/Yoj gave us. From there, she kept track of everything…communications, time-lines, expectations, payments, responses, etc.
Because Jess knows the Charleston market (extremely) well, she knew what vendors needed to be booked quickly; making sure my daughter got her first choices. It was so wonderful to mention “Jessica from Yoj” and immediately feel like a priority customer. All the vendor responses were the same, “She is wonderful to work with!” (Such a great feeling for a MOB who didn’t live in the wedding destination)

Jessica is the ultimate professional. She showed up for tastings, ran the rehearsal, made sure the vendors knew when & where to be… At every turn she had the ability to command excellence from those involved, while still being Really cool to work with! I Never once doubted that the outcome would be anything but amazing!

When I walked into the venue, just prior to the ceremony, I couldn’t help but get teary! Jess had turned that room into my daughter’s dream wedding. I was able to focus solely on my daughter and our family, while Jess did all the heavy lifting. What a gift to the MOB!

We couldn’t have done this last year, without Jessica Laskow of Yoj. She was there, Every step of the way, guiding & encouraging us as needed. She truly made magic happen in Charleston and we are forever grateful. Thank you, Jess (& Yoj) for an amazing lifetime memory🤍

Dream Wedding Planner!

Hands down, hiring Monique & her team at Yoj Events was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. When I first walked up to the venue on the day of our wedding, I cried at how beautiful every detail was. It went beyond my wildest dreams. Putting aside the day of, which truly blew my mind, Monique was a dream leading up to it. She is incredibly communicative, responding to every e-mail almost immediately. She has a wonderful vision as to what the day of should look like, but also solicits your input and makes sure that the wedding reflects exactly what you want it to be. Monique was patient, fun, and an incredible sounding board throughout the entire process. Our guests are still raving that it was the most beautiful wedding they've been to. From the get go, Monique was on top of hiring the best and most cost effective vendors in all of Charleston. If I could continue to write about Yoj and Monique and sing her praises, I would. I can't put into words how fortunate we feel that we were able to work with Yoj & Monique for our special day.

Monique and her team at Yoj Events did an absolute fantastic job at my son and his brides wedding this past weekend. From start to finish the wedding and reception ran so smoothly. Monique Semper @ YOJ Events-- Very Best Wedding Planner!

Looking for a wedding planner in the Charleston, SC, area? Then look no further than Monique Semper at YOJ Events. We live in Massachusetts – approximately 1000 miles from Charleston --and had less than 8 months’ notice to plan our daughter's wedding. This is not for the faint of heart and we worried that it would be an impossible task. The solution? Monique Semper at YOJ Events.

A good friend in Charleston referred us to Monique and it was the best referral we could ever have received. Our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding was just about 2 weeks ago - early September 2023 - and it was absolutely lovely and everything went off without a hitch! Why? Because of Monique--she is incredibly knowledgeable, resourceful, flexible, responsive, great communicator, friendly, patient, thoughtful, empathetic, had phenomenal suggestions, and on and on. If we had a question, Monique had the answer! Moments of panic? Not to worry, Monique knows how to manage it. She has literally "seen it all."

She was also open to ideas and was willing to explore anything the future bride and groom wanted and was ready and willing to find a way to implement their dreams. She knows everyone in the area, knows the best wedding vendors, and was able to get the best prices for absolutely wonderful vendors. She was the contact/lead on every issue and detail that needed to be implemented! Best aspect, and possibly the most important – Monique is absolutely calm and reassuring throughout the process. She stays with you every step of the way, from opening discussions, bright and early on the wedding day and was there at the very final moments at the close of the reception. Monique is amazing.

Bottom line: there is NO way that we could have pulled off our daughter and son-in-law's spectacular wedding in 8 months without Monique and YOJ. She worked tirelessly to make it wonderful and memorable day. We recommend Monique whole-heartedly and if 20 stars were available on a scale of 1 to 10, then we would give her 20 stars! Do not hesitate to retain Monique—she is the best!

The glue to our wedding!

I truly can’t put into words how exceptional Monique and her team are. My husband and I both agreed that after saying “yes” to each other, hiring Monique was the best decision we made regarding our wedding!!! She goes so above and beyond, I have no idea how we could’ve had our wedding without her. We had an unexpected move cross country throughout the wedding planning and Monique made sure we didn’t miss a beat! No detail was ever missed throughout the entire process. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about our wedding, saying it was the best one they’ve ever been to, and it was all thanks to Monique. A complete bonus that it’s also an absolute pleasure getting to know to Monique. My husband and I say how we miss chatting with her now that the wedding is over! The best decision I made!

This is truly the most overdue post of my life but I wouldn’t ever forgive myself if I did not give YOJ Events the praise it deserves. I had a four day American/Indian fusion wedding in Charleston that wouldn’t have been possible without YOJ. To start, we ended up parting ways with our wedding planner four months before our wedding. We weren’t hitting deadlines and given the attention we deserved so was on the hunt for a new wedding planner. When I tell you my husband and I instantly fell in love with Monique, it was INSTANT. She is so wildly attentive, hits the ground running, and on top of her game. Our wedding was handled by Monique and Jordan who were the complete dream team. Jordan hit the literal nail on the head with my vision. I asked for quite a few alterations to stay within budget, hit non-negotiables, food and liquor dreams, etc and she made every revision so quickly and better. Monique and Jordan are truly advocates for what you want and with vendors. In four months they completely learnt what had been planned so far, finished planning, getting vendors, making deals, and executing our dream four day event. They handled every little request with a smile on their face – even with requests and vendor additions the night before. They also were the voice of reason between all the parties involved with the multi-day event when it came to my wants, my husbands wants, and our parents wants. They find a way to always find the happy and best solution. There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful this team is and I am so sad my wedding is over because it means I don’t get to talk to Monique and Jordan everyday anymore. Hiring YOJ will be the best thing you do – PROMISE. From a once formerly stressed, sad, and upset bride-to-be due to bad wedding planning to a fulfilled, appreciative bride because of YOJ!!

Amazing Experience

To start off, Jessica Laskow did a fantastic job as our lead planner, not only leading up to the wedding, but the day of was such a stress -free & organized day thanks to her! We weren't exactly sure on the process to start, but Jessica took us through one step at a time & offered great vendor recommendations. As a clarification, just because you hire a wedding planner, doesn't mean you're off the hook for everything - you still have to review & make all the decisions, which I wasn't fully aware of the commitment I'd still have to make in the process. However, the last month before the wedding, while some brides are scrambling, Jessica made it seamless & handled all the final details, so I didn't have to worry. She gave helpful advice & was very accessible for questions during the year we worked with her. With her help, the wedding ended up being everything we wanted & we received compliments all night on how well planned it all was.

Incredibly Talented Wedding Planner

My husband I got married at Legare Waring House in Charleston, SC on May 29, 2022. We used the services of YOJ Events, owned by Monique Semper. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint!

During our wedding planning, we lived in California and needed the help of a wedding planner to plan a wedding from across the country. We researched wedding planners in the Charleston area, and from the very first phone call with Monique, I just felt like she just ‘got me’ and my vision, even throwing out cool ideas and possibilities even from the very first phone call (which I loved and was so impressed)!

Additionally, Monique and her team are some of the sweetest people we had ever met. They were more than willing to bend over backwards for their clients, and Monique and her team truly make you feel like they care about making your big day special! Working with Monique was incredibly easy. You get that one-of-a-kind boutique service that is extremely personalized.

Monique and her team were always available for calls, even with the big difference in time zones, and responded to emails in a timely manner- many times even within an hour or two. YOJ Events has many contacts in and around Charleston, whether it be for venues or vendors, so we felt like we always had a lot of options. Their recommendations were always on-point, with vendors who were well-known and with excellent reviews.

If something was out of our price range she would either negotiate, or look elsewhere, often coming up with even better plans or designs. Also, I really appreciated Monique’s organization. My husband and I have extremely busy work schedules, so it was great that she was able to keep us on top of deadlines. Throughout the wedding day, Monique and her team stayed behind the scenes, but were always nearby in case of any questions or problems.

She was busy coordinating music, food, photography etc. to ensure a seamless day. Monique is extremely professional, courteous, and polite with an awesome sense of humor. It is apparent that Monique loves her job, because it shows through in her beautiful work. I’ve never seen such attention to detail. YOJ Events really outdid themselves. I felt like my wedding was nothing like anyone else had ever seen, and I loved that it was so personalized and unique. Monique and her team were able to make my wedding day even more beautiful and fabulous than I had imagined in my head. My husband, myself, and all our guests said they'd never seen anything so amazing!! YOJ Events made our wedding the most magical day of our lives. If anyone is planning on getting married in or around Charleston, you will not go wrong with hiring YOJ Events!

the absolute BEST wedding planner!

Monique is absolutely incredible! Our family friend is a wedding planner, but was booked on our date. They recommended Monique & she did a fabulous job. She helped us stay within our budget & worked with countless separate vendors coordinating all aspects. This created such an easy & stress free planning & event. Our day was very smooth, she even played bartender briefly to help with a backlog as the receptin started to keep our guests from having to wait. Every special request she managed perfectly. Loved Working with Yoj Events!

I cannot speak highly enough about Monique and her team at Yoj Events. My fiancé and I wanted to get married in Isle of Palms, SC within 90 days of getting engaged. Due to the pandemic, neither of us had ever been there! But, we found the most amazing venue and just needed help planning the rest! From the first phone call, Monique took the time to learn about us and the vision we had for our special day. We were impressed by her professionalism, easy-going personality and attention to detail. We clicked with her right away and knew she would do a wonderful job planning our wedding. Monique recommended high-class vendors and her attention to detail in putting together the wedding day itinerary was amazing. She did a great job communicating with us, both on our wedding day and in the weeks leading up to our wedding. She made sure we were timely with our decisions and that we knew the items we were responsible for… and she also made sure everything stayed on time and flowed smoothly the day of our wedding.

Our wedding was even better than we could have imagined and we truly got to enjoy our day. AMAZING Wedding Planner!

Monique and her team are AMAZING! I could not have done it without them. Monique kept me organized and thought of everything. Monique and her team are very organized and prompt. I had my wedding at my grandparent’s home in the Old Village. They did not have anything to accommodate a wedding, but it had been my dream since I was young to have it there. Monique /her team were able to figure out a way to work around the unfamiliar venue. Monique made the wedding of my dreams come true. She had great suggestions and also was very familiar with the vendors around town. We were able to save money by using her because of her connections. Monique/her team and the people at Event Haus were able to bring in tents, chairs, generators, lights, etc in order to make the venue feel like a wedding and not just an average backyard. I could not recommend YOJ events more. They are all amazing.

My daughter used Monique and YOJ Events as her planner for her recent wedding. They were wonderful every step of the way in working through all the details and working with our budget. They had deep knowledge of all the venues in Charleston, SC and had excellent recommendations for vendors. Including florists, tuxedo rentals, wedding photographer, caterer, limo transportation, etc. The entire team was very responsive and was there every step of the way so that our family did not have to worry about details. For a peace of mind, hire Yoj!

Our wedding venue required us to hire a wedding planner and I am so glad that we did. We worked with Jessica at Yoj Events and when we had to reschedule our wedding initially due to COVID, she was on the ball and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Her candor made it so easy to trust her judgment and let her make the calls. She allowed us to completely relax and not have to worry about anything with the wedding because we knew Jessica had it handled! Because we were not from the area, Jessica was also a great resource for finding the best vendors to work with. I'd highly recommend Yoj events and especially Jessica!

Absolutely perfect!

If only our hearts and souls could talk! Wow Wow and Wow! We have been together 24 years and engaged for 20 of them. Late summer 2019, we had that 'ah ha moment' and decided to get married. We are from Ohio, and had visited Charleston on vacation a few years back. We immediately fell in love with the city's charm, food, and most of all, the people. While having all of our family and friends with us for our special day would have been ideal, we decided to 'elope' ... yep, just the two of us! This would be a second marriage for each of us. We struggled with having that typical wedding. In the end, let me just say, we would do it all over again, the exact same way. So, we began the infamous Google Search regarding Charleston Weddings, filled out the 'online forms' and who responded immediately? Jessica Lasko from Yoj Events. The tone of her email was very inviting so we decided to connect via phone conference. There are seriously not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe Jessica's magical touches. From the moment we spoke with her, it was quite obvious that she is beyond passionate and fully committed to making sure our special day was just that, SPECIAL! Over that next year, we exchanged emails, and spoke periodically. The 'big' items had been decided on and deposits made. With Jessica's guidance, we selected Magnolia Plantation for the wedding (with access to the bridal suite and an absolutely BREATHTAKING setting), Erin Turner as our Photographer (FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS photos by the way!), Kim Findlay as our Florist (OMG! Absolutely stunning bouquet and boutonniere) and Kasey King as our officiant (HIGHLY recommend Kasey ... we spoke with him about one month prior to our wedding and completed a couples questionnaire .... he was SPOT ON with his message during the ceremony...brought us to tears). Since we never actually met these most important people that are helping to create such a special memory for us, we had to completely put our life in their hands. And can we say, it was the BEST decision ever!!! We are beyond blessed and truly grateful for Jessica's expert and professional guidance as we eloped to Charleston, SC for our special day on July 11, 2020✨😘🎉💍🍾! We have relived that day, every single day since then, and would do it all over again tomorrow! Our most sincere gratitude to Jessica and everyone who made our day so special....WAYYYY beyond any expectation we could have had. Every single individual was AMAZING. If there is one regret, it's that we wish we had more time to spend together with Jessica and the rest of these very special and beautiful individuals✨ We can’t express our appreciation enough💕 Thank You💕 Thank you 💕 Thank you 💕

Two words: Memorable & Magical

Monique and her team at Yoj went above and beyond to help us create the wedding we dreamed of. From the initial meeting helping us clarify the vision to the very moment we said "I do" to our final toast, everything was considered. Their expertise added details we never would have thought of. The magic touches they brought in to the weekend set everything off. Plus, it could be one of the most stressful and overwhelming times with all the choices, but they made it so fun and exciting. Best decision working with Yoj. When we renew our vows, we will definitely have them by our sides.

Great Job YOJ!!

I always believed that the true character of an individual, and for that matter, a company, does not present itself in ordinary times. In times of hardship, when they are needed the most, that is when you find out what the character of a person really is. Monique, and the staff at YOJ stood by us through the replanning of our daughters wedding three times, with compassion, encouragement and thoughtfulness. Throughout the process, her advice on what to expect from, and how to deal with numerous vendors was Invaluable. Countless phone calls, texts, that where answered almost immediately, and numerous emails later, there was Monique guiding us through the day at Cannon Green.

I could write several pages on how well they did and how hard they worked, but I just want to relay how we hired YOJ. My daughter had interviewed several planners and then had an appointment with Monique. At this point she was just not connecting with anyone. Then she called me and said, “Dad this is it! Monique is who we need, trust me on this.” I wrote a check that day and never looked back. I know Monique and YOJ will have continued success In the future and can not recommend them enough for anyone looking for an event planner. Thanks Monique!

Pandemic Planning Perfection

I never considered using a wedding planner until I realized that most venues in Charleston required one. I started putting out feelers to planners whose style I loved on Instagram. I heard back from Yoj right away while many other planners took weeks to respond. I connected with Jessica for my consult call, and knew when I hung up the phone that she would plan my wedding. She listened to everything that I had to say, and brought my vision to life. A normal review would probably end here, but then COVID-19 happened. The panic and heartbreak that I felt from across the country would have been entirely too much without her. She navigated the postponement of our wedding while helping us to keep our vendors and avoid losing our deposits. She fought for us more times than I can count. Days before our postponed wedding, a travel ban caused us to cancel. Knowing that we still wanted to be married, Jessica pulled off an elopement in four days with all of our original vendors. Without any bridesmaids or friends able to attend, Jessica stood in to put on my jewelry, shoes, and veil, and hold my bouquet. When the world fell out from under us, I had Jessica. With the uncertainty in the world today, you need Jessica and Yoj in your corner. My now husband and I have a motto as we work with Jessica to plan a reception next year.. In Jessica We Trust. She always makes sure we are taken care of, and that our dreams come true. You should trust in Jessica and Yoj as well. No wedding planner can compare. We love Yoj! End your search now and make the investment. You will not regret it!

Wonderful team for a stress free wedding!

Monique and Hannah are an AMAZING team! I cannot say enough great things about this team. They are professional, smart and always on top of everything! If you are looking for a wedding team that will take so much stress out of the day and make everything they touch seem effortless and perfect, this is the team for you!

We got married in the middle of COVID. And that would not have been possible without their attention to detail, brilliant ideas to make everyone safe and comfortable and proactivity. We relied on their creativity and phenomenal experience, and it paid of with a perfect wedding day!

You will not regret hiring their team. They do an amazing, beautiful job and will allow you to really enjoy your wedding day to the fullest! They were always there for us and made us feel very taken care of. I highly recommend both of them to any couple getting married in Charleston!

Very Thorough and Amazing!

Monique and Kendall were the main fixtures that helped me plan the wedding of my dreams. I would HIGHLY recommend these ladies to any couple getting married in Charleston, SC! We used the partial planning service. Monique was highly attentive from the start and helped me really figure out my vision. She kept track of all of the vendors that I picked and the never ending checklist of things! From start to finish she was amazing! She and Kendall helped with coordination on my special day, and not only did she run interference with a family member’s significant other, but she made sure that everyone was happy and content and knew what they were doing! She kept track of our timeline, our setup, and made sure that I was able to eat! (I stated at the very beginning that this was one of the most important things to me - the food at our venue was AMAZING) Not only did she make sure I ate, she coordinated cake, toasts, and even a picnic for us when we got home.
Monique handled all of our rental orders for us, which was a huge relief and made our day of so much easier and enjoyable! She made sure that I had all of the contracts in order and that all of our vendors were taken care of. I’m pretty sure that she and Kendall also made batteries magically appear for our LED candles and they found sparklers after we forgot to bring them over from my in-law’s house on Mount Pleasant! No detail was too small for them. They kept our timeline realistic and also made sure that our guests had everything that they needed, and that they were having fun as well! They truly made sure that my wedding day was everything that I ever dreamed it would be.
If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate - have Yoj events help you make your wedding incredible!

Couldn't Recommend More!

Monique of Semper Signature Events was, without a doubt, the most wonderful vendor we hired for our wedding! My husband and I met with several planners when we started our wedding planning process and, after meeting Monique, I knew we had found the one! I remember leaving our first meeting and thinking, "she speaks my language". Throughout the planning process, she was extremely organized, quick to respond to emails/calls/texts, helpful with vendor recommendations, and so patient. On the final days leading up to our wedding, her skills and value really shined. She followed up with all vendors, ensured timelines were accurate, kept everyone in the loop, and left no details or questions unattended. Finally, on our wedding day, she and her team worked seamlessly (or what appeared seamlessly to me) to ensure that our visions and wishes were met. Her team set-up and broke-down our ceremony and reception sites beautifully, kept us on track and on time, and were so accommodating! In all, I certainly couldn't recommend Semper Signature Events more!

Monique was such an incredible choice for our wedding planner. She was a pleasure to work with, understood our vision and helped execute it beautifully. All our vendors were kept up to date, as were we, with her being very responsive and quick to any questions we had. We felt at ease on our wedding day that everything was under control. At no point did she bother us with anything as she had already put so much effort into making sure everything was finalised and organised before. Not only was she great at her job and a pleasure to work with, she was just a truly lovely person who so much wanted to make our day the best ever. Monique was amazing. I am getting teary eyed just thinking about how beautiful and wonderful the wedding turned out. I am not sure there are words to describe how wonderful Monique is and the great job she does. I was a very laid back bride, and not big into planning and Monique was able to help me plan and think of things I never even thought of. She allowed me to be me and took on all the hard stuff of planning. She was available, consistent, knowledgeable, and dealt with all the vendors in a professional and timely manner. Honestly I don't think I was stressed at all, Monique literally took care of everything and my husband and I got to relax and have fun with our friends and family. An important note about Monique is that all the vendors respected her and when I would tell a vendor that Monique was my wedding designer, they were happy and relieved. Not only was she a great wedding designer she made me feel so special and like I was her most important client. Love this woman!

WOW!! Its been one year to the date since our wedding and it seems like yesterday. Shannon and the entire Yoj team made the planning for my October wedding so effortless. I am so happy that I chose to work with Yoj Events for my recent April 1st wedding. Shannon went above and beyond to make sure that the wedding, and the months leading up to the wedding, went smoothly and felt effortless to plan. Shannon was extremely organized, always on time, friendly and most of all fun to work with! She also worked well with the other vendors, the wedding party, and the guests to keep everybody on schedule and on time. During the wedding, she was attentive and made sure everyone was having a great time, and she even helped with the bustle on my dress during the reception! There aren't enough words to express our awe and gratitude to Blythe and her team from Yoj that pulled together the most perfect wedding for our daughter on Sat. What they delivered was beyond our expectations and brought us to tears at a vision come to life. Blythe thought of details we didn't even know to consider and I'm sure there are many more behind the scene details we will never know she attended to in order to pull off an amazing evening.

As the mother of the bride, I assumed my daughter and I could handle this destination wedding planning alone. After initially wading into the waters, I realized we were drowning and needed help fast. Blythe swooped in with her sweet southern charm, throwing us a lifeline with the assurance all would be ok. She held our hands through panic attacks and meltdowns like a trained therapist. When we couldn't clearly verbalized our vision, she listened to likes and dislikes and created exactly what our daughter dreamed of. She took a totally empty ballroom and courtyard and with amazing flowers by Stephanie Gibbs and stunning rental furniture, designed and created a look of welcoming, classic elegance.

We never worried about a thing on wedding day. Someone from her team was always anticipating the next step or the next need. From providing angel Catherine, the woman who steamed, dressed and stitched us in, to every last detail that needed attention before the ceremony, at the church and before the reception to staying on top of bartenders and caterers, Blythe directed the event with subtle but firm control. The team shuffled our purses, clothes, heirlooms, papers and other necessities from one location to another and like a miracle, they appeared in our hotel room at the end of the activities. With every i dotted and t crossed by Blythe, the only focus we had wedding day was to enjoy the event!

Thanks to Blythe and the Yoj team, we have wonderful memories of a perfect day.

I highly recommend any bride to Yoj Events. I originally had another wedding planner that dropped the ball. A friend of mine suggested Yoj Events and my only regret is that I didn't go with Yoj from the start! I worked with Shannon and she's truly amazing she picked up all the missing pieces and made me feel at ease with the final details. Our wedding day would not of had the same level of elegance & beauty if it were not for Shannon and the Yoj team's efforts. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Loved our event planner, our venue was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew two weeks prior to our event. Shannon found another spot for the same price of our original venue by negotiating with them. They were gracious enough to accept the reduced pricing & all the vendors hired went to the new venue without increase cost to us, even though it was further out. Definitely would use Yoj events again, loved our planner, Shannon! Our event was a rehearsal dinner for all of the out of town guests, which was approximately 100 people.

Shannon was amazing!!! Our very organized wedding was interrrupted by Hurricane Hermine. Little did Hermine know, Shannon was prepared! Shannon turned what, in my mind, was the worst that could've happened, on the most important day in our lives, into a beautiful, what we called, Plan A-. Shannon was able to transform our reception venue into the Southern wedding ceremony of our dreams and then "flip" it back into the Rustic Charleston reception we envisioned. You I could not imagine our wedding day without Shannon by our side. She truly made everything run smoothly. Our wedding will forever be remembered as the best hurricane party ever!! Monique was by far the best choice I made for my wedding day, besides marrying my wonderful husband! She went above and beyond in every aspect of the wedding process. She was always there for a listening ear and helpful in the decision making process. She's so warm, kind, helpful, organized, and dedicated to making you be a guest at your own wedding. Honestly, we don't even know what we would have done without Monique. Having Yoj Coordinate my wedding was the best decision we made. We booked them for month-out coordination and then later decided to add on all rentals and decor. They were so worth it, and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering planning their wedding. I was an out-of-town bride, and having Yoj made things SO much easier. They put me at ease, and gave me the confidence that everything would be taken care of. We had a beautiful wedding, and everything was perfect down to the last detail. They made it seem so effortless, and the day ran so smoothly because of their efforts. Blythe was fantastic. She was so responsive, so sweet, and so thorough. I never had to worry. I was never stressed the month leading up to the wedding because I knew I was in good hands with Monique; she coordinated, confirmed, and double checked every detail to ensure the day would run perfectly. She even helped coordinate a very expensive tent rental the day before my wedding (due to rain of course) between myself and the bride for the following day to reduce the price for us, how thoughtful and valuable that was, especially when working with a tight budget! Katherine was FABULOUS!!! Booking YOJ was the best decision we made during our wedding planning! Katherine was always on top of everything and made sure everything went off perfectly!! There are no words to adequately describe the service we received from Emily and Breeze. Our Wedding was P-E-R-F-E-C-T in every way. It is incredible how many details go into planning a wedding. Way more than you realize.. you're gonna need Monique's help!
Quick background:
In hopes to alleviate the pain of planning and all the stress that comes with - my husband and I chose to elope to Italy in September.. (which looking back seemed like more planning in the end!)
We still wanted to have a reception/celebration with family and friends when we got back, so we started the planning process months in advance to us leaving to help get all our ducks in a row before flying out.
Being a project manager as my profession, I thought "I've got this - I'm detailed and organized - I can plan this and handle it.." But I had no idea..
With only a few weeks left before leaving for Italy, our "planning" in pieces and a mess, I realized I had bit off way more than I could chew!
I was referred to Monique (Semper Signature Events) through Boals Farm, the venue we were having our reception.
She knew right away the right questions to ask and it didn't take long for me to realize that I did not have all the details figured out that I needed!
I have heard other girlfriends before tell me that having a day of/event coordinator and planner is GLUE to your wedding - but didn't really understand how much so until I met sweet 'Can Do' Monique.
She picked up the pieces of our scatter brained, half planned mess of and event and pulled it all together beautifully! We honestly could not have done it all without her.
Day of she was there to answer all the questions for the vendors, and I was not bothered at all with anything. I was able to enjoy the reception and time with my family and friends without a worry!
All around: Monique was amazing! Not only to work with before, but all throughout the event! She kept things moving smoothly and was professional and cheerful through the entire reception! (She honestly loves what she does and it shows!)

i don't think I can say enough great things about Monique! My husband and I moved to Alaska mid wedding planning. We hired Monique as the day of coordinator, but she went above and beyond just the day of to make our wedding day perfect! Monique was extremely organized and handled everything in a professional manner. She stayed in contact with my other vendors and made sure everything was in line and taken care of before our wedding day. She mentioned things to think about that I would never have thought of- additional decorations or necessities to make the wedding run smoothly. Even with the distance, I never felt overwhelmed because Monique made sure things were taken care of.

When it came to the day of our wedding, everything was flawless! Being the bride, I didn't have a worry the entire day! I put complete confidence in Monique and she just blew us away! I would recommend Monique to any and every wedding in Charleston!

We used Yoj event's full wedding planning service. Our wedding was this past weekend at The Island House. Emily Weidle and her team were simply AMAZING! We could not have asked for a better day and would not change a thing. People cannot stop talking about how great every part of the day was! Every single thing we said that we wanted, Emily made happen. Even if I didn't know how to explain what I wanted somehow she knew! The day of my wedding it was pouring rain and she had a rain plan for the ceremony but she knew I really wanted it outside. Luckily, right when our ceremony was going to start it stopped raining and Emily and her team got everything set up outside and made it happen, and it looked stunning! From coordinating all of the vendors to keeping me calm when I thought it was going to rain and thinking of little details I never would have thought of, she was on point! I cannot say enough good things about Monique. We hired her as the day-of coordinator for our wedding on Kiawah Island. I knew when I first interviewed her that she would be amazing, simply because she took the time to take notes on major details, down to the names of our entire bridal party, before we even officially hired her. Monique was so much more than just a day-of coordinator. She was available every step of the way during our wedding planning whenever I had a question about something random or needed some advice -- whether it was about the color of the linens or relatives that needed special attention. She met with us on several occasions to make sure everything was in place for the big day. She allowed us to drop off our decor several days in advance so that we wouldn't have to worry about too many details the day-of. She made the trip out to Kiawah early in the morning for our wedding rehearsal (which she was flexible when we had to reschedule), and continued working all day and evening to get our venues set up, check in with vendors, and run the entire affair. Her last-minute necessary adjustments to the reception venue and ceremony venue set-ups made for an even more beautiful and perfect atmosphere than I could have ever designed myself or even thought of. She is totally organized and dedicated and will not let you down. If I could afford to pay her more, I would have because, what an incredible value! Thank you so much Monique for help making our day so perfect!!

Monique was one of THE most knowledgable and professional young women I have ever had the pleasure to work with. My son and his fiancé chose a destination wedding in South Caroline. I have never been to the Charleston area and found it very difficult to plan a rehearsal dinner for 55 guests from Minnesota. I was able to find all services online but realized I simply could not decorate, set up then get to rehearsal and then back to the venue without some help. That is when I reached out to Monique for help. She agreed to coordinate everything for me the day of the rehearsal dinner and was such help staying in touch with the various vendors.
Monique is professional, detail oriented, proactive, thorough and has a great sense of
humor. I truly don't know what I would have done without her help. She was there the day of the rehearsal dinner and guided the various vendors every step of the way from set up to clean up. I really can't say enough good things about Emily and the team at Breeze. From the very beginning, Emily was personable, listened to what my fiance and I wanted and envisioned for our wedding, and was very transparent and easy to work with on every detail. The Breeze team was a hidden gem for my husband and I. We knew we wanted to be married in Charleston, SC, but the task to plan it seemed daunting with the popularity of the destination and the steep pricing that comes along with it. Over a year ago, we went in search of a wedding planner in Charleston because, unlike, so many couples, we actually did NOT want the stress of planning our own wedding. Also, we live 3 hours away in Charlotte, so we were always going to need help. We sat down with several wedding planners that day and by the end of the day, felt the decision was a no-brainer. Yoj Events seemed the most knowledgeable, the friendliest, and they were upfront and honest about pricing from the very start. Now, a year later, we were married this past weekend at Boone Hall Plantation and we both agree that the wedding was simply perfect.

Why? Simple. Katherine Miller.

What makes Katherine so amazing? She is passionate about what she does. She has an incredible eye for wedding details and will help you create your perfect day even if you aren't fully sure what you want. She is responsive to all questions and has a way of making you feel like you are her only client even though you obviously aren't. She knows literally EVERYBODY in the wedding business in Charleston and every one of them seems to genuinely love her.

And all of this was before the wedding. The day of Katherine was a superstar. She was at our venue by 10am setting up. When we arrived, she was there to greet us. She had a staff with her all wired to fancy radio ear pieces and ran the show like a well-oiled machine. She even made sure we had plates of food waiting for us (we did food stations) so that we would get to eat.

Now, the day has passed, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how it went. We even had numerous friends and family tell us afterwards that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Thank you Katherine for helping make our day perfect and creating a lifetime of memories for us. We consider you not just our wedding planner but a truly good friend.

Monique is beyond wonderful, caring, KIND, professional and SO lovely to work with! Our wedding took place on Isle of Palms in May 2009 and at the time my husband and I were living in DC. We needed someone to help us plan our wedding, give us recommendations on vendors, locations, flowers, music....pretty much everything since we are not from Charleston. Monique always cleared her schedule for the few weekends we traveled from DC to SC for wedding planning, set up appointments for us and came with us, and really just made our whole wedding day so beautiful. To this day, we have family and friends who have modeled their wedding after the look and feel of ours, and I am not exaggerating when I say they still mention that ours was the best wedding and most enjoyable....it was really a party where everyone felt welcome to be there and celebrate with us. Monique gave us abundant amounts of helpful feedback, but she really listened to what we wanted, and helped us create a day that we want to go back and re-do all of the time! I will never forget, the day of our wedding walking over to the venue we rented just to peak in (we rented a house next door), and Monique was there talking to all of the vendors, setting things up (EARLY) and I really felt happy and confident that everything was going to come together smoothly. When we first started planning, one of our concerns was how we were going to be able to put together a wedding when we did not live in the area and did not know anyone or any venues/contacts to use. Monique took care of all of this for us and we consider her a good friend :) After we were married and all of the planning was finished, I said to my husband that I missed talking to Monique! Words truly cannot describe how amazing working with the Breeze team was during our wedding prep and big day. We found Breeze through a vendor recommendation list and after our first call with Candice, I was sold that she was the planner for us. Although I interviewed quite a few planners, Candice's balance of professionalism and relatedness was what we were looking for in guiding us through this process. We decided to go with the Breeze package because, as a destination wedding that happened five months after the proposal, the idea of having vendors selected for us was quite appealing. Her vendors were well vetted and truly amazing at their craft. What's great though is that while the package gives you pre-selected vendors, you are not tied to those vendors and can select someone different if your heart is set on that. This helped a great deal since at times we wanted something slightly different and wasn't completely bound to the predetermined package.

From beginning to end Candice and her team were there for us. Whether it was through emails or calls, they were right there to answer questions or to talk us off the ledge. In a word, they were fantastic. Overall, we had a great experience with Breeze. A couple planning an event with them really will not be disappointed. Thanks Breeze! You're simply the best!!

I absolutely LOVE Yoj events! From the first day I met them, I felt comfortable and excited and ready to start planning. They're the most amazing women who go to all lengths to ensure your big day is exactly what you have been dreaming about. They went venue hunting with me; flower shopping with me; and even cake tasting. Planning a wedding away from your close friends and family is hard and stressful but Yoj made me feel right at home. Especially Emily;) I love her! They kept all lines of communication open and made sure they were all on the same page. They were able to handle my father and finances, that alone is a conquer in itself! I cannot say how amazing they are and how truly blessed I was to find them! They are incredibly knowledgeable in every area-from flowers to cakes to picking out groomsmen attire-they're truly fabulous. I highly recommend using them-even if it's just a partial service, they will blow you away. LOOOOOOOOOVE THEM!

My daughter was recently married in Charleston and worked with Monique. She was fantastic. As mother of the bride I had a great time working with her and I will highly recommend her.

Monique was fantastic!!!! I was planning my wedding from 4 hours away and she was with me every step. She was very responsive and helpful with all my questions and concerns. I couldn't think of doing that day again without her. Monique with Semper Signature Events is a must when making your wedding day amazing!

Aside from my groom, working with Katherine Miller to plan and execute my big day was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Katherine is amazingly intelligent, organized, knowledgable, and helpful and over the course of the year we worked together she became a really good friend to me. When I came to her at the beginning of our process I had so many crazy ideas for our wedding and the design and decor and she helped me focus, and refocus, and refocus my vision and indecision until in the end it came out more beautifully than I ever could have ever imagined. In the weeks leading up to the wedding when I should have been most stressed I was so thankful to know Katherine was working diligently behind the scenes confirming all our vendors and even helping take a few last minute projects off my plate. On the wedding day itself Katherine's talents and amazingness shined the most. She traveled back and forth all day between our reception venue, the church, and the hotel where we were getting ready making sure everything and everyone was taken care of. Whether it was helping put on the groomsmen boutonnières, sewing up my dress when the bustle buttons broke, making sure the whole wedding party including five children was ready on time, or calming my last minute control freak nerves, Katherine seemed to be everywhere at once and have everything under control. Our ceremony and reception started on time and I have received compliments from numerous friends that it was the only wedding they had ever attended to start precisely on time. When we made it to cocktail hour Katherine had a pair of flip flops waiting for my sore feet and patiently stood with me holding my shrimp and grits glass to make sure I got a bit of substance in my stomach before drinks. She was never an overwhelming presence, but at just the right moment she would show up and subtly update me on the schedule. There is not enough space in this review for me to say all the good things!!

YOJ Events, and particularly Emily, were essential in making our big day personal and seamless. We could not be more pleased with the end result--a perfect wedding weekend! Emily added small touches that tied our welcome reception and wedding events together seamlessly. Our guests are still (10 days later) raving about what an amazing weekend they had in Charleston!

I truly cannot speak more highly of Katherine Miller and the entire YOJ Events staff. From the very beginning, Katherine was a pleasure to work with and captured my complete vision of our wedding. Being a destination wedding, she was so attentive and responsive to each and every email and phone call. Our wedding was the most beautiful event and so special and it was all thanks to Katherine and her staff. The entire planning process was so easy and stress-free thanks to her. I worked with Katherine Miller and she made everything amazing. I just relaxed, got primped up and let the show begin. She was all over the place all day, this company works extremely hard to make your day special, and everything you want it to be. YOJ also provided our lighting and draping and it was AWESOME. I really couldn't say enough great things about Breeze! I planned a wedding in Isle of Palms from out of state and needed help. I found them online and the first thing that caught my attention was their website, which has an amazing tool to help you figure out if what you want will work within your budget. They were absolutely wonderful and professional on every aspect of wedding planning. I got to work with Emily, who is probably the best wedding planner in the area! She made my life so much easier and I don't know how people can plan weddings without a planner, I wouldn't recommend it! Everything was taken care of, they were on top of all the details and facilitated the wedding and rehearsal flawlessly. My day was absolutely perfect and all of the vendors they worked with were great and definitely worth the price. Also the price was great, they helped me stay close enough to my budget to keep everyone happy. I would recommend them to any bride, so so worth it!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about all of the ladies at YoJ!!! They turned our dream wedding into a reality. Every detail was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch. I know they were working with several brides through out our planning but they really made me feel like I was their only one. Planning the wedding was a blast for both my fiancé and I. At the wedding everything was perfect and things just seemed to magically happen. Both my parents were incredibly impressed with the entire event and were so happy at the level of care and attention the entire staff paid. Both of our families are still raving about how our wedding was the best they have ever been to. I knew it would be and had complete faith in them which let me relax and enjoy the day. Every step of the way was a joy and they made sure to not only keep our vision but enhance it. Thank you Emily and Candice. If you are looking for a wedding planner stop your search and look no further.

I like to describe Emily as a wedding genie....except that I was offered more than three wishes! Her responsiveness and professionalism, coupled with her creativity and ability to see my vision for the event was bar none. But most of all, by the end of what seemed like years, Emily became someone I'd rely on to calm me down in moment of chaos and remind me of of the special day...and, oh, what a special day it was.

Thank you for being the quintessential planner, Emily!! You brought to life the vision for our special day and helped kick off this marriage right!

Candice is so much more to us than a "wedding planner" - she was there with us every step of the planning process as a creative mind, a friend and even a therapist when needed! :) I don't know what we would have done without her! Candice has an incredible gift of taking a bride and groom's vision and expanding upon it and refining it through every last beautiful detail. Our wedding truly felt like a dream...and Candice worked so very hard to make that happen for us, going above and beyond her call of duty in every element of the planning. She handled all of our logistics and details professionally and gracefully all the way to the day of our wedding - when she was 8+ months pregnant doing set up under the sun in the middle of a field! Our wedding was more perfect than we could have ever imagined and we'll be forever grateful that we had Candice and the amazing Yoj team by our side.

We recently had a destination wedding in Charleston, SC and can honestly say it was a blessing that we found Breeze and especially Emily Weidle. To say we wouldn't have been able to do it without her would be a huge understatement. I could go on and on why anyone who chooses to get married in the Charleston area should use Breeze and Emily but this literally would be a novel! All I can say is that from start to finish everything was done so immaculately, so elegantly, and so professionally that all my wife and I had to do was show up. Details that I would never even think of Emily thought of and she truly made our wedding the most beautiful day of our lives together. The two best choices we made were using Breeze and Emily as our wedding planner and choosing Magnolia Plantation as the venue. It's a magical place that will forever live in our hearts and Emily will forever be our friend:) Just writing this makes me miss Charleston!!! Hope this is helpful to anyone who reads it because it was written from the heart.

I had the wedding of my dreams, and I owe it to Emily at Breeze! From the moment she began helping me, she was on top of every detail in a professional manner. I know wedding planning is her job, but I felt she truly cared that everything was as I had hoped. She guided me through the process, helping me to make decisions about details I was unsure of (or unaware I needed to decide about) and followed exactly what I envisioned for the things I did care about. Actually, I think she made the event better than what I had hoped! All the family, friends, and guests were totally amazed and thrilled. Emily did a wonderful job of bringing to life what I had envisioned! If you could see some of the photos, you would understand =)

Emily and the rest of the girls at Breeze made my dream wedding come true! They took all of the stress out of planning a wedding and made it a time that my fiance and I could enjoy! They were even more exceptional the day of the wedding. Everything was exactly how we had envisioned, down to the very smallest details. Candice and her team at Yoj are the best of the best!!! I started my wedding planning a little late in the game so I had been hearing from most people that it would be impossible to get everything I wanted for my wedding day. After my first meeting with Candice my worries were completely gone. She was SO positive and reassuring that I knew after meeting with her that my wedding day was going to be everything I dreamed of and more, and it was!! Candice thought of every single detail and was there to help me with anything and everything I needed throughout the entire process. Not only did they deliver to us our perfect wedding they were such a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things about Yoj and I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to them for all of their support, guidance and dedication during the wedding planning process!! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them to all future brides, they are truly one of a kind AMAZING!!
