Lauren and Belinda are the absolute best!! My husband and I got married September 2023 and it was the most perfect day. Lauren and Belinda were just so much fun to have around from the start of the day to the end. They were calm and made everything run so smoothly. I truly enjoyed having them with us during each part of the day. Even on what felt like the rainiest day ever, they were such troopers and got us some outdoor umbrella photos too.
If I could marry my husband everyday, I'd have them there to capture each moment.
We couldn't be happier and we can't recommend them enough!! -

We hired Year & Day for our engagement shoot & micro ceremony through the packages they had available.
We loved the photos we got back, ESPECIALLY the beach photos. Belinda knew how to perfectly capture the lighting and the natural background.
For our ceremony we also had my nieces and nephews (they aren't the easiest to wrangle) and Belinda was able to capture them perfectly! She was soooo easy to work with and so incredibly patient with my family. -

Lauren and Belinda, the owners, were our photographers for our wedding day. These ladies made us feel so comfortable throughout the day without being too intrusive. They had beautiful ideas about shots to capture and made it so fun for us. Their prices were very reasonable and we loved working with them. You can tell that they truly love what they do. From the planning stages to the final product Belinda and Lauren were amazing! They made the entire process so easy and stress free. They exceeded my expectations and the pictures from our wedding came out amazing. Everyone loved our “sneak peek”, which we received within 2 weeks and within 2 more weeks we had our entire gallery. The pictures really captured all of the special moments throughout the day that you don’t even realize are going on. From smiles, to tears, to personal moments, it was all there! Thank you so much for making sure we have all the great memories from our wedding!! -

Great experience!
Year and a day did a phenomenal job helping our big day go as smooth as possible. We got our photos back very quickly and they came our perfect! Lauren is very talented and made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera. Both her and Belinda were quick to respond to any question we had while planning. We highly recommend! -

When my husband and I reflect on our wedding day, one of our favorite memories was taking our couple photos at the arboretum where our reception was held. It was a quiet moment during the bustle of the day, and Belinda and Julian were so natural at making us feel comfortable and ourselves during this photo shoot. I can imagine it could have been the least favorite part of our day with less capable photographers! What we really appreciated was how unobtrusive and relaxed their style was, and when we had the pleasure of seeing the photos afterwards, the result was beyond our expectations. I can not recommend Belinda and Lauren enough. I knew I did not want a traditional LI wedding photographer and wanted my photos to be unique yet classic - and they delivered that and so so so much more. They were extremely responsive with any of my questions leading up to our wedding day and our engagement shoot (we were planning from out of state and they were always super helpful about those logistics aspect of it). The prices they offer are truly out of this world for the quality you get. We got our engagement pictures less than a week after we took them and a few sneak peaks of them just a day after. We received our wedding sneak peaks (over 50 photos) less than a wee after our wedding and our full wedding album 6 weeks after. They are approachable and professional but also subtle and not intrusive during your special day. It was pouring during our first look shoot and we wanted some rain pictures and they were out there in the cold pouring rain with us and didn’t rush us at all (we actually told them we were done with the rain at one point - they would have kept going!!). I love my pictures more than I can ever explain and can’t recommend them enough -

We were so lucky to find Year and a Day / Lauren and Belinda! They are affordable, professional and so easy to work with! They were easy to contact and book, made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, directed us into poses that looked and felt natural, and managed to capture everything while keeping a low profile.
The photography was the most important aspect of our wedding for me and these two did not disappoint! They are true artists, capturing beautiful moments with a keen eye for lighting and composition. Their pictures not only captured the events that took place, but illustrated the emotions and love that surrounded us that day. We couldn’t be more grateful for their work. -

Hiring Year and a Day was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the moment we first contacted them we knew they were the right choice. Belinda & Lauren could not be easier to work with & not to mention they’re the sweetest! Leading up to the wedding they were always quick to respond in answering any questions we had. On our wedding day we barely even knew they were there because they were just a comfortable, gentle fit with our group. They were extremely respectful when off capturing the greatest photos while we weren’t the subjects! Our photos are absolutely gorgeous & are the perfect reminder of our best day ever; they are light, soft & natural without the harsh lighting or posing you’ll find with most other Long Island wedding photographers. The eye they have for landscape & lighting is really special. We truly could not be happier. We would recommend Year and a Day 100,000 times over. We love Belinda & Lauren!!!!!! -

An Amazing Experience
Belinda and Ken were a dream to work with. From the moment we booked with them, we knew we made the right choice because of their responsiveness, kindness, and genuine love that they bring to their photography. We received our sneak peek album, and our full album back so quickly, and we could not be happier with the result. Their photography style captures the love and energy that was present throughout our wedding day, with special attention dedicated to all of the personal touches that we incorporated. Knowing Belinda as a former colleague and seeing the beautiful work Year and a Day does, it was a no-brainer to have them as our photographers. Starting with incredible engagement photos to the most outstanding wedding photos I could imagine and we only have a sneak peak! Lauren and Ali worked our wedding day and the experience was phenomenal. They were super professional and flew under the radar, while at the same time capturing the most amazing reactions. I'm overjoyed by how they captured the essence of our day and how we get to re-live it through these images! Everything about Year and a Day is amazing and I hope to work with them in the future! They are also lovely, personable people who interact with all key stakeholders -- think well-intentioned by cooky parents and guests -- well. For my wedding (August 2015 in East Setauket NY), we received over 700 beautiful photos that captured our ceremony and reception so nicely. They were recommended to us by way of my sister; her friend had used Year and a Day for her wedding. Belinda was also thoughtful and very reasonable with pricing and didn't oversell/up-sell "wedding packages" or anything like that. One more thing: their style isn't overly artsy or trendy, which I appreciated. These are photos that will stand the test of time as priceless memories for my family.

After receiving the photos, I got so many compliments! People told me these were the most beautiful wedding photos they had ever seen. Their use of lighting and depth of field shows mastery of their art.

I was thrilled to book these two women for my wedding after working with them as a bridesmaid! The pictures are beautiful and better yet they keep you calm and relaxed on the busy day being women who understand trying to enjoy each moment as a bride! I am so happy with my sneak peek of pictures and looking back on our wedding day we enjoyed each minute while still stepping away for some pictures and getting great shots before the ceremony. Belinda really heard me with specific shots I was looking for as well as large family group pictures. I can't wait to find a reason to work with these ladies again in the future!

What was most important to me was having photos that really captured the emotions of the day and they delivered beyond my expectations. They truly captured what the wedding day felt like to me and my husband. They captured all the laughs. The teary eyed moments during the ceremony. And all of the fun and joy of dancing at the reception. They sent sent us a sneak peak just 2 weeks after the wedding and our family and friends LOVED them. A few months after the wedding they sent all the photographs in a USB. ALL OF THEM. We had so many to choose from for albums. They were so professional and nice leading up to the wedding. And incredibly creative with the photos the took the day of the wedding. My husband and I are so appreciative :)

Many of my coworkers had worked with them for their weddings so there was only one photographer I wanted to speak with when we got engaged. From day 1 they have been easy to get in touch with, very easy to work with and on the Big Day they were phenomenal. They showed up early, got through the shots I wanted and got creative beyond what I could have asked for. They treated everyone kindly and made the long picture process pleasant. At the end of the night, they stayed past their contract time to ensure that we had photos of my husband and I cutting our cake as the venue got backed up and we did not get to the cake at the planned time. They truly went above and beyond for us, never made us feel rushed. Not even a week after the wedding I was sent 50 sneak peaks that are just wonderful!! I am only sad that we opted not to have an engagement shoot with YAAD as I would have loved to work with them one more time. Definitely reach out to them for all of your photography needs, you will not be disappointed!

Christine Sent on 06/08/2017Having been a bridesmaid many times before being a bride, I've dealt with my fair share of wedding photographers. Belinda and Lauren were exactly what I was looking for when it came time to be my day! I didn't want to feel like the spotlight all day, preferred much more candid shots of the guests, dancing, ceremony, etc. They were professional, attentive to our desires and there's not a single photograph I didn't like! Without feeling like I was made to pose nonstop all day and being followed by paparazzi, they still managed to capture every single moment I would want to see again without being invasive. And as far as price goes, I think I got way morning for my money than I've known other couples to spend. Would 110% recommend them without hesitation! Absolutely LOVED them!
