It is impossible to capture how much Yaritza positively impacted our April 2026 wedding in 5 stars. Yaritza deserves a 10/10. A 1000/1000. She is an absolute gem of a person who turns out an exceptionally vivid product with a high level of technical proficiency. She has created a treasure trove of remarkably beautiful memories for us to revisit over and over again as a married couple. Yaritza’s level of professionalism, artistry, and collaboration was unparalleled among our amazing group of vendors, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Yaritza is amazing to work with – she takes the time to understand you as a couple and helps build how you want to be portrayed on your special day with a level of detail and earnestness that makes the entire process very fun and un-stressful. We did an engagement shoot and had Yaritza cover our entire wedding as well as provide film and Super 8 artifacts that captured the joy we felt on the day. During our wedding, Yaritza was everywhere – we were shocked at the amount of content she captured while being completely unobtrusive and self-sufficient. Her photos are breathtaking and she has a preternatural knack for finding moments throughout the night that showcased the most special people in our lives. We are forever thankful to Yaritza and cannot stress enough what a good idea it is to book her, like now. Truly one of one!

Awesome experience working with Yaritza

Yaritza was so great to work with! The photos looked amazing and she was very organized and communicative. We loved our mini engagement shoot and family and friend portraits. On the day of she consulted on how to set up our space for the best photos which was a big help. She made our big day go very smoothly!

No words - truly the best wedding photographer!

Yaritza is truly an artist! She captured moments from our wedding ,that while we were able to feel in person, didn't realize we'd be able to have forever saved in a photograph. Because of Yaritza (and her wonderful additional photographer, Bear) we have our most special day captured in the most beautiful way. She was incredible to work with and I'm already sad working with her is over!

Great Experience!

Working with Yaritza was an amazing experience! One of our colleagues who was planning their own wedding at the same time recommended them and we immediately loved Yaritza’s photography. They were flexible to work with through the whole process and responsive to our requests and questions. She was able to beautifully capture not only us, but our guests. Everyone looks great in the photographs and we have gotten many comments about how beautiful the pictures turned out. My husband and I are camera shy, so Yaritza took great care to make us look good in pictures. We just got our photo gallery and we cannot believe how beautiful it looks. We highly recommend Yaritza and are very glad we had her on our special day.

Perfection!

Yaritza was everything we could have wanted in a wedding photographer and more! She was a pleasure to work with during every step of the process (from engagement photos to the very end of the night on the dance floor!) She had an amazing selection of multiple cameras and we can’t wait to see the final results - but based on our engagement pics, we know they’ll be incredible. One million stars

Yaritza is THE BEST – I can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s insanely talented, hard-working, professional, and is just an all-around cool, no-nonsense person. My husband and I both get cringy taking pictures and Yaritza made the whole process really comfortable and fun, which we never thought would be possible. It felt like we were just hanging out with a friend. We skipped a lot of the traditional wedding stuff that’s photographed – first look, reception entrance, dances, etc. – and Yaritza completely supported us in those choices, plus was super responsive and reassuring during the planning process – even connecting us with other vendors and advising on non-photography related things. She really goes the extra mile. And Yaritza’s pictures… OMG her pictures are unreal. My jaw dropped to the floor when I flipped though both our engagement and wedding albums (which she turned around in just a few days). She has the gift of capturing true emotion and has such range. Yaritza is an absolutely phenomenal photographer. She was so easy to work with, flexible, and accommodating. Most importantly, her photos are just stunning. She captured our wedding perfectly. There is a quality of motion and energy in her photos that really bring the entire event back to life for us in the most wonderful way. She seemed to know exactly where to be at every important moment, and she somehow captured just about every guest at the event while being totally unobtrusive. the most amazing and positive experience i've had with a vendor

it's hard to put into words just how supportive, lovely, warm, flexible, thoughtful, and caring yaritza has been throughout our entire journey of planning a wedding in 2019 for a summer 2020 wedding. as you might have guessed from those dates, the pandemic completely wrecked our plans over and over again, but with every turn and iteration, yaritza has been nothing but gracious, skillful, and kind and I could not recommend her more.

a quick break before we get into the story: much of this writing will be on who yaritza is as a person and a professional, how she supported us with our difficult process, but in case you are someone who wants to know whether or not we were satisfied with the product she delivered, please know the answer is a resounding YES - she's truly gifted behind the lense, and we love all the photos we received from her.

we found yaritza in the winter of 2019 as we were planning for a wedding in the summer of 2020. she was flexible and agreeable to start, meeting with us over facetime so that we didn't have to travel, discussing with us rates and packages without pressuring us or trying to editorialize what we would be receiving if we signed onto a contract. we were confident in her confidence and her portfolio, so we signed a contract, only to have a pandemic put everything on hold.

as soon as we reached out to her in march as states were quickly shutting down, yaritza agreed to suspend our payment schedule as well as keep our contract open as we tried to secure a new date while other vendors were pleading with us to keep our date and being resistant to change in the hopes that the pandemic would be over by the summer. she didn't charge us an extra dime in a fee or anything to make these changes - she just wanted to support our decision. then, when our wife lost her job due to the economic fluctuations, yaritza offered adaptations to our package and timeline, even offering us some of our money back, to help us through uncertain times. eventually, we decided to do a small, family-only ceremony in a church courtyard, which she agreed to travel an hour to without extra charge. during the ceremony, due to the heat, one of our family members had a fainting spell, and yaritza was there with water and a banana to help her along.

we rescheduled with our other vendors for a wedding during the summer of 2021, but due to struggles with unemployment and vaccine hesitancy amongst our family, we ultimately decided to cancel our wedding. we were heartbroken, but we knew that we were making the right decision for the safety of our families. while other vendors charged us fees and kept our deposits, yaritza kindly offered us our unused money back because, well, she is an angel walking among us.

the photographs we have from our small gathering in july of 2020 that she took will remain in our lives forever as they captured the day perfectly. but in this year of uncertainty and disaster, i can say that working with yaritza has restored some faith in humanity and reminded us that even in the wild and often wretched business of the modern wedding industry, there are great people and beautiful souls to be found.

Great Wedding Photographer

Yaritza did such a wonderful job documenting our ceremony/elopement! After postponing our wedding once due to COVID, Yaritza was extra flexible in working with us to make the day special and complete. Phenomenal!

An incredible photographer whom I would hire again in a heartbeat. After we canceled our original plans for a larger wedding, Yaritza honored our deposit and went above and beyond to help with our COVID-compliant elopement. She responded to all our stressed and frantic emails quickly and with sage advice, helped a pair of not-so-photogenic nerds feel comfortable in front of the camera, and produced a truly amazing end product that we'll cherish for years. Flip through her gallery for a few minutes and you'll see how amazing she is at capturing the unique personalities and emotions of her subjects. Rather than fussing and posing and touching-up our photos until we were perfectly beautiful, she captured us as we are, beautifully. Excellent value too, she offers full access to high-resolution files without requiring expensive print purchases, which was important to us. Wow! Just wonderful

Yaritza is incredible! I am so delighted by our photos. Amazing Experience

We had an amazing experience with Yaritza and very highly recommend her. From our first conversation before we booked her, she was personable, professional, and very responsive to our vision. She has a great sense of humor. After we booked her, she worked with us to find a location and time/date that worked for our mini engagement session. During that session, she went above and beyond. She climbed on rocks and trekked around in mud to make sure she got the best shots of us. She was completely open to doing what we wanted and had great suggestions to make sure that we were getting all the best shots. She was really great and she made it fun. When we got the pictures, shortly after the session, they were spectacular. The colors and the angles were on point and we were really pleased with the final product. Between the mini session and the wedding, she checked in with us periodically and was super responsive when we had questions. In the days leading up to the wedding, she worked with us to finalize our itinerary.
On the day of, she and her co-photographer, Bear (who we hired as a second photographer for the day of), were prompt and professional. They helped coordinate things to keep the itinerary on track, even when the venue fell short. They really stepped up to make sure our first look was spectacular. Afterward, they made sure they got the usual shots of everyone, which came out fantastic. But where they really shined were the candid moments, when the bridal party was just being themselves. That same eye for honest moments made for great shots of the guests throughout the night. When we got our photos (after a very short turnaround), we were incredibly happy. We cannot recommend Yaritza highly enough.

The best you could get

Not only did Yaritza make 2 very non photogenic people look great- she also helped preserve the memories of my wedding that would have otherwise been lost due to a brain injury sustained 3 months before my wedding. She has an eye that allows you to relive your special day over over and I am so incredibly grateful for her patience and her work. Book her, you'll be so happy you did.

Amazing esthetic; incredibly professional

We could not be happier with the service Yaritza provided. She is flexible, professional, and has an amazing eye. We picked Yaritza after looking at her website and admiring her previous work. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience with Yaritza Colon. She was really professional and managed to make my husband and I (who can be kind of awkward in photos) look absolutely amazing. She is funny, chill, and totally easy to work with and her pricing is excellent. I found Yaritza's work when I searched the internet for wedding photos taken at the venue we booked. I was immediately attracted by the color and emotions captured in her photos. We specifically drove to Worcester to meet her since I thought it's really important to be able to connect with your photographer. After meeting her, I knew that we'd work together very well. My husband is very shy about photos but she managed to make him look more natural than he ever was in front of the camera. At the wedding she captured so many happy moments of us, our family and all of the guests. We both love the photos! In addition to her talent and personality, communication was smooth. I also appreciate that pricing is very transparent and all the billing, payment, and final delivery are handled by a nice online platform which make everything very easy. Yaritza wasn't pur first choice. Or even our second. But because of a series of strange events, we were introduced on the recommendation of another photographer. You know that saying, "If it's meant to be, it will"? Well, All I can say is the universe knew EXACTLY what it was doing when it put us in touch. Yaritza knew our aesthetic from the first conversation - her portfolio spoke to the candid, raw, emotional moments we were looking to capture (and without all the retouching that just isn't our thing). She met us in-person to go over the day, and throughout the process kept in touch and was very patient with me when it came to finalizing last-minute details (that should not have waited to the last minute, LOL). The day-of she was there but somehow managed to blend into the surroundings and just captured our loved ones in their element. She nailed it, and we could NOT BE ANY HAPPIER with our photos (which, by the way, were ready just a short few weeks after the shindig).

Finding Yaritza was like finding the needle in the haystack! It took us forever to find a photographer that we liked in our budget. Like most photographers, Yaritza has a very specific style. It's very candid, and there are very few posed pictures, which is exactly what we wanted. She did a great job capturing the mood and vibe of the festivities and capturing honest, real moments. Every time I look at my photos, I smile, because she was able to capture the joy and love of our wedding day and translate it to film. She was also very responsive and flexible with our needs, and very non-intrusive on the day of - we were able to just be ourselves and forget that she was there, which worked out perfectly for us. I'm so glad we went with her!

Yaritza was the perfect choice for my husband and I’s New Hampshire wedding. We struggled for months finding someone in our price range and that would capture the look we were going for. Yaritza was incredibly quick to get back to me after I expressed interest in her studio. She asked about both of our families dynamics, what we were looking for, what we hoped for the ceremony/reception/overall feel of the wedding. I feel that gave Yaritza a really great idea going into it of exactly what we wanted. Day of, she was prompt, professional, and attentive. She met us and our bridal party at our air bnb to do getting ready/first look photos. Unfortunately it was raining (didn’t think I’d have to worry about that for my February wedding in NH) but we still have some really sweet photos of my husband seeing me in my dress. During the ceremony it never felt like Yaritza was imposing. There was no time when I felt she had disrupted the natural flow of the wedding and was in the right place for the right moments. We stepped out after the ceremony for some family and loved one photos which, of course I wanted some posed photos but I didn’t want to lose a lot of time from our cocktail
Hour or miss our reception. Yaritza breezes through our portraits with ease and we were back partying before we knew it! I didn’t expect this but some of the posed photos ended up being my favorites. We really wanted the food, the fun, and the friends and family to shine candidly in the reception/party photos. Which is exactly what we got!
The DAY my husband and I got home from our honeymoon we had our photos. We were absolutely in love with the service and the product we got using Yaritza. I would highly recommend using her for your special day.

One of the most important things we wanted when planning our elopement was proper documentation of the event (Sorry, Dad- your iphone candids bum me out). Cue Yaritza. She was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Not only was she friendly and funny (and a dog enthusiast) but incredibly professional. My husband and I both hate having our pictures taken. Yaritza made us feel very relaxed and gave us direction on poses and places to go. During the ceremony she was like a ghost ninja- it was like she wasn't there but she captured the whole thing beautifully from every possible angle. She delivered over 500 high-res photos from the three hours we were with her and every one whether candid or posed is amazing. Our day went by in a blur but these photos are perfect for reliving our elopement. I'll just be over here ugly crying over how beautiful they are. Whether you elope like us or you do a big shindig, I highly recommend Yaritza Colon.

All of the wedding coverage I saw from Yaritza had a beautiful and different perspective than other photographers I found. The composition, the color, the moments... she was different. And once we found her, there was no one that even came close!
Yaritza was always so knowledgable, thoughtful, communicative and supportive throughout our entire process! She gave us all of the guidance we needed prior to our wedding, and on the day of our wedding, she could not have been better. We always trusted she was going to produce incredible photos, but we KNEW we made the 100% right decision, when it absolutely poured on our wedding day, and my husband and I still wanted to do our first look outside, with some umbrellas. I looked at her and said "are you OK with that if we roughed it outside?" and she, without missing a beat, just said "oh yeah - just throw me a poncho, let's do it!" And that's what we did, and we got the most beautiful photos we ever could have imagined. We had a few day-of obstacles thanks for Mother Nature, and she made it seem like it was no sweat, and rolled with all the punches. I LOVED Yaritza!! We had a pretty intimate wedding and Yaritza was amazing at blending in! She captured so many moments that I didn't even realize she was there for! For the portraits, she made me and my husband laugh and feel very comfortable around her (we are not ones to take pictures often)! THE. BEST. Yaritza was fabulous to work with from day one and her photos are extraordinary. I cried happy tears when I saw them for the first time!

I interviewed at least 10 photographers who I didn’t click with before finding Yaritza. And then, from her first witty, personal email response that felt like we were already friends, I was in love. Her focus on getting a portrait of everyone at the wedding (because your guests are the best part!) and on naturally capturing happy moments really resonated with me.

On the day of, she managed the family dynamics and personalities seamlessly, didn't skip a beat when the schedule went out the window, made our couple pictures as non-awkward as possible, and was a blast to be around. She politely and expertly coordinated every group shot I asked for, and then blended into the background to capture the best candid moments from the most creative and organic angles.

And then there’s the actual pictures (which Yaritza edited and got back to us in just a few weeks). They are unbelievably, out-of-this-world good. You can feel the joy, the hugs, the sun, the smiles right through the screen when you look at her pictures. Yaritza did an amazing job capturing the natural beauty of our location, the happiness of the day, and the most special little moments that I didn’t even know happened. I just did a quick tally of 26 emails and texts from guests complimenting our photos + photographer. We love love love love love love the pictures!

I don't have enough words to describe how helpful, kind and thoughtful Yaritza was as our wedding photographer. My husband and I remarked all night she was incredibly considerate and sweet, delicately rounding people up for group photos or quietly standing to the side capturing candids. Her photos are positively stunning - you can tell she takes such pride in her art. Beyond that, she went above and beyond helping find my lost groom and ensuring he met me in the right spot for our private first look together on the big day. I don't give 5 stars lightly for anything, but Yaritza deserves all 5 (and more!). Besides her great eye for stunning candid shots which is what drew us to her in the first place, start to finish Yaritza was also a dream to work with as a vendor: always incredibly responsive, easy to be around and get along with, flexible but with a clear vision, professional but friendly, flexible, helpful, cool and collected, great taste (loved that she was as excited as we were for some of our quirky wedding details, like including the Jurassic Park theme), positive attitude without any cloyingness or fakeness (important in a sea of yes-men wedding vendors who can be annoyingly thrilled about every little thing), able to lead and direct effectively without being overbearing, offers comprehensive photo packages and easy credit card payments, quick in her delivery of resulting photos... I could go on and on.

She was really gracious and accommodating when it came time to take our engagement photos, which despite my husband and I being terrible at photos, came out amazingly thanks to her wonderful direction and framing. And she and her partner Michael were like amazing photo ninjas during the wedding day, taking shots I didn't even know about until we saw the end results, going the extra distance (standing in the rain without complaint!) and being generally sneaky and unobtrusive while capturing our day candidly as it happened, which is exactly what we had hoped for. I can't stop looking at the resulting 900 photos, in awe of how beautiful they turned out and how true she was to capturing the feeling of our wedding, and can't thank her enough for her effort and her vision.

Yaritza's the total package: an amazing photographer who is so easy to work with and just a really cool person in general. You'll initially be drawn in by her art, but you'll definitely want to hire (and also maybe be her friend?) for who she is and how she conducts business. We can't recommend her enough!

Yaritza is the best. I was a little nervous having my wedding photographer fly in from 1000+ miles away, but it was easily one of the best decisions we made. We were even published in a print wedding magazine! Needless to say, the photos are amazing and I sound like a creep, but I totally still look at them every day. I get so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding was from people who weren't there, which I think is really a compliment to Yaritza's ability to capture an event. Even more so when you consider she had never been to Austin before!

We felt completely at ease with her, including my husband who doesn't like being in front of the camera. I can't stress enough how much we appreciated her time and work, and what a pleasure she is to work with!

Yaritza was absolutely wonderful to work with. Her work is beautiful, meticulous, and creative. She also has a unique lens and perspective with her photos that no one else seemed to have. Yaritza gave us a free engagement photo session in addition to our package, and she was great with encouraging my husband and I to feel natural in our pictures. On the day of, Yaritza and an assistant came to our wedding and both covered everyone well. They provided a ton of pictures to me afterward and Yaritza was quick with her turnaround time. It was so great having such an array of pictures- it felt like we were able to relive our wedding day all over again! Yaritza respected the different cultural components of our wedding by taking detailed pictures of all our cultural symbols. Her personality is relaxed, down-to-earth, and easy going. She was responsive and replied to all emails and contact in a timely manner. We've had the pleasure of knowing Yaritza from her years in the trenches taking photos at punk and hardcore shows so after that weddings are a cake walk. Yaritza was calm and relaxed during all of the bridal party shoots even when bridesmaids and groomsman were wandering all over the place! My husband and I do not particularly enjoy having our photo taken, but for our wedding, we wanted photos that looked candid and natural, not posed, that would be pieces of art that we could proudly display in our home. I fell in love with Yaritza's style and she did not disappoint! Not only were the photos amazing, but she was fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. Our wedding was near my hometown in Providence, RI, but we organized and planned everything from overseas where we live in Australia. Working with Yaritza from afar was a breeze and she made us feel incredibly at ease leaving that aspect of the planning in her hands without a worry. She was very responsive and very accommodating with our schedule the week of the wedding when we arrived in town just a few days before. On top of that, the photos were gorgeous and really captured the day. I highly recommend Yaritza Colon Photography! My wife and I had a very small (immediate family) same-sex outdoor wedding followed by brunch in downtown restaurant . Photography was one of our biggest expenses and something we were both picky about. I found Yaritza's website in a list of recommendations from a photographer friend. I fell in love with her photography and was thrilled when I realized she had special rates for very small weddings. I had my heart set on her as our photographer and would have been disappointed if she wasn't available. Lucky for us, she was!

Right from the first emails Yaritza was friendly and professional. She was great at responding to questions quickly. It was easy to pay the invoices online. The day of the wedding Yaritza arrived right on time -- actually, a bit early, so she was able to get a few shots of my hair/makeup appointment. She's friendly, cool, and a great calming presence! Yaritza was unobtrusive throughout the ceremony and brunch. My family thought she was fantastic. Our shy dog was part of the ceremony and Yaritza was patient and awesome with her. We received a beautiful flash drive of images very soon after the wedding. I usually hate photos of myself and had been insecure about being at my highest weight on the wedding day. Despite my own anxieties and insecurities I loved the photos. They were exactly what we'd hoped for. She did an incredible job of capturing the overall vibe of the day as well as some of the tiny details that made things special. Some of my favorites are the colorful shots of my wife and I together after the ceremony and some of the gorgeous grittier black and white documentary-ish photos at the reception brunch.

As our first wedding anniversary approaches I am still thrilled with our photos and so glad Yaritza was our photographer that day. I can't recommend Yaritza Colon Photography enough, especially if you're looking for a cool, laid-back, professional photographer for a small ceremony.

Yaritza is A-MA-ZING! She was prompt and informative in answering all of her emails. Her wedding package prices were unbelievably reasonable and from the second we met her in person at our engagement photo shoot, I knew she was the perfect fit. On the day of our wedding, it poured. We had all these plans to take photos outside and my heart broke when I knew it wouldn't happen. But she came prepared for the weather and made a lot of suggestions for other photo ideas and our pictures came out great. We were even able to get a few shots outside with umbrellas, that came out wonderful. She managed to make a gray and dreary day seem bright and cheerful. I'm so glad we chose her to be our photographer, and I am sure you will be too!

My fiance and I were looking for a photographer who could strike a nice balance between a journalistic and editorial look, capturing our families and guests beautifully while keeping it real. From the start, I loved the look of Yaritza's work and thought she would be perfect. Thankfully, she was available and was so easy to work with. She was great about communicating with us, getting a good read on us as a couple and what we were looking for, scheduling an engagement shoot, and finding a great second photographer, Masao, to join her, who was a perfect complement. Our engagement photo shoot was a great way to break the ice, and Yaritza made sure to put us at ease, make it fun, as well as experiment with lots of different techniques and perspectives. The day of the wedding, she and her 2nd photographer were great to work with- both unobtrusive, but also very creative, flexible and open to our ideas and requests. We got our photos about 4 weeks later via a link and dedicated webpage which we could share with our guests, and we were sent a thumbdrive with over 1,000 great shots. From start to finish, we have been so glad we were able to work with her, and LOVE our photos, from the classic shots, to the striking artful ones, to candid moments of friends and family.

Yaritza is a very talented photographer and great person. We found her through friends that used her for their wedding a few years back. Since then, we've seen many of her wedding and engagement photos. We knew once we were searching for a photographer that we needed someone who would be able to capture the day like we were living it again. I met Yaritza by being photographed as a bridesmaid and guest at several friends’ weddings. As soon as I was engaged she was one of the first e-mails I sent out- I knew we just had to be sure she was available! She is extremely professional, beyond creative in her work and so easy to work with. Neither my fiancé (sorry) or myself are very photogenic but she was able to work with his constant blinking and my awkward smile! We didn’t give her very much direction since we totally trusted her artistic view over ours but it was almost as if she read our minds! I have been in other weddings where the bride was completely annoyed by the photographer----Yaritza almost has a calming effect on you! We had not one but two medical emergencies within five minutes of each other and after giving us some time to make sure everyone was okay she pulled us away from the scene to take photos outside. I don’t know if it was on purpose but it worked wonders in that stressful moment! Our package came with not only an engagement session but a fun photo “booth” in which she provided props for our guests---- the pictures are absolutely hysterical and you can tell our guests really enjoyed themselves! There was never any doubt we made the right choice with Yaritza and we hope we will have other reasons to continue to work with her in the future.

After extensive research on wedding photographers I found my perfect match in Yaritza. I don't even remember how I found her website but I am happy I did. She takes amazing photos and her price was the best I saw in the greater Boston area. While my wedding was in Boston, MA I live out of state. Since we weren't able to meet in person we spoke a few times using Skype. On the day of the wedding she was early and remembered all of the group shots that I wanted. Yaritza also put together a very nice photo album for us including moments that I don't even remember but now can share with my children to come.

Yaritza was AHMAYZING during our wedding, she got some amazing shots that we can't even figure out where she was standing to take them! She should really label her self as "Wedding Photographer/Ninja" and make Chuck Norris her assistant (because really, she one-ups him in ninja skills.)
I would have never expected a wedding photographer to go as far as she did to help on the day of the wedding - I realized I didnt put my thumbprint on our guestbook, so I needed to run out of the bridal suite and upstairs to do so - Yaritza was my shield so all of the other guests wouldn't see me before the wedding (and got some sweet pictures of the guest book while she was at it - make that a "multi-tasking ninja")
During the photograph hour after the ceremony, she kept the energy up, and got some amazing candid shots of our wedding party relaxing after the chaos of the morning was starting to end.
I can't thank Yaritza enough for being more professional than I thought was humanly possible, and so responsive to helping us out during the day! I couldn't think of who I needed pictures of, so she took control for me and started rounding people up. Perfection!
I would recomend Yaritza to anyone getting married, having babies, engaged - anything. I have been recomending her for 2 years now, and that was before the wedding!

Yaritza provided us with exceptional photography services. She went over and above her call of duty, and we felt very comfortable throughout our whole wedding planning, along with some special pictures we wanted on our special day. During our engagement shoot she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera by making us laugh. She was great with communicating with us- all questions were answering in a timely fashion. And the pictures were absolutely stunning! We are so happy with how they turned out! We loved working with Yaritza for both our engagement photos and our wedding! She was always so responsive whenever we had questions and we couldn't be happier with how everything came out! Another fun touch was the Cheese! Booth. There is nothing like getting a picture of your grandma in a pirate hat! Yaritza did a fantastic job as the photographer for our wedding! She was helpful, flexible and really used her wedding photography expertise to capture great photos. I also like the fact that she did not just take pictures in traditional poses, which helped her capture the excitement, humor and happiness of the day. Moreover, Yaritza was willing to drive my husband, sister and I from our hotel, to the chapel, to the place we had the pictures and over to the reception area! My fiancee and I won a free engagement session with Yaritza this fall. We didn't know her at all, but we liked her pictures, so we thought, oh what the heck, let's just see what happens! She was great! During the session she was very laid back and easy going. She had ideas for poses for us, which was good, since we had no idea what to do at first. Once we relaxed a bit, we came up with some of our own poses, which she was totally fine with as well. Yaritza was super patient the whole time -- we had wardrobe changes, fairly cold weather, and even a location change! The best thing, of course, is that the photos came out wonderfully! I would definitely recommend Yaritza for anyone looking for wedding photography in the Boston area.

We cannot say enough about Yaritza! She was so easy to work with and also so much fun to be around. We have received so many compliments on our wedding photos. Our guests absolutely loved the cheesebooth and thought it was such a great idea. We love that she was creative and really captured the meaning and beauty of the day. Yaritza was absolutely amazing as our photographer. I knew as soon as I saw her photos that she was going to be it. I think I first contacted her right after the holidays and she responded right away. This followed up until the wedding and even after. She has an amazing range of and is extremely talented. It was such a pleasure to work with Yaritza. She is very skilled at what she does. We planned the wedding from Minnesota and Yaritza is an excellent communicator. She answered all of my questions and even Skyped with us one evening. Her pictures were magical and everyone who looks at them is enchanted. She is magic! We barely noticed that she was there during the ceremony and reception. She is quick and gets the shots that she needs without hassling other guests or friends. I would 100% hire Yaritza again for another occasion. She is very sweet and does a fantastic job. She is also a wonderful value, other photographers at her skill level charge much more. We could not be happier with the services provided by Yaritza!! We worked with her for our engagement photo session, our wedding ceremony and our reception. She also created a (beautiful) photo-guestbook for us to display and to have our guests sign. In that same e-mail, I also said, "What I love most about these photos is that they remind me of so many small moments that I could never have remembered on my own." This is what makes Yaritza's work really special. She is equally skilled at capturing formal poses as well as those on-the-spot moments you will want to remember forever. Yaritza is the best, hands down. You can tell how much thought and personalization she puts into each of her events. No wedding is the same for her and that is evident through her beautiful photography. We couldn't believe how fast the pictures were up online after my sister's wedding. And once we got to see them we couldn't have been happier with them. My mom loves her too - I think she kissed poor Yaritza a few times throughout the wedding day haha. Choosing Yaritza Colon Photography was by far one of the best decisions I could have made regarding my wedding day. Being new at the whole "Wedding Thing" and planning it all completely by myself (with the usual "whatever you think hunny" from the fiance) I was pretty unsure about alot of the choices I had to make, and was very concerned with value and quality. I was more than excited to see my worries melt away from the very first meeting with Yaritza. I knew it would all be Ok... and as any bride planning her wedding knows- THAT MEANS ALOT. From the degree of professionalism, to the amazing quality of my wedding photos, Yaritza Colon Photography absolutely met and exceeded any hopes and dreams I could have had for my wedding photos. Also, Ive been to a few weddings, and always noticed the photographers in the bride and grooms face, injecting themselves into their special day- really making things awkward just for a photo! Well, Yaritza must be a ninja, because although I have to believe she was there from the gorgeous shots she got of my day, I cant say that I remember her in my face awkwardly even once! At first I considered not having a photographer for my wedding, until my friend told me of the one she used for her daughters Sweet 15. I got married on a lake, and the day started out sunny but then got really cloudy by the time it was supposed to start. I thought that our photos were going to look crummy due to the gloomy weather conditions. I got my album a little more than a week later and was pleasantly surprised. They were clear, and the scenery did not look as bad as I thought it was going to! I am very happy we had someone who was able to work with those circumstances. She was great.

Yaritza is amazing! I'm already recommending her to 2 other couples getting married next year. She is kind, funny, professional and has a beautiful and discerning eye. My husband does not like getting his picture taken, and even he was said "wow, I look good." when we got the photos back (1400+ shots I might add!) She made us, our family and wedding party feel so comfortable during the posed pictures. And the candids of us and our guests are out of this world- she captured our emotions and reactions so perfectly and genuinely. It's really like having a friend you've known for ages at your wedding. Working with Yaritza was an absolute joy! From our first e-mail exchange to our first meeting at the wedding, I felt like she really understood our vibe and what we wanted to get out of our photos. I absolutely hate getting my pictures taken, and as cheesy as this sounds, Yaritza made me feel beautiful. I decided to switch to Yaritza Colon Photography about 2.5 months before our Reception. Her quality of work was very impressive and I loved her attention to detail. She has always been quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I knew I made the right choice in switching to her services the first time we met because she noticed that my son's eye color was gray with brown in the middle, while mine is more green (it was refreshing to have someone note this as everyone says my son's eyes are blue).

We did not have the traditional Wedding and Reception event, as we had eloped earlier in the year and were having a very laid-back, low-key Reception. Yaritza was great at working with us before the event and during. She captured all the small details that were handcrafted and we made ourselves (a decorative metal piece behind the head table that my father made, the centerpieces that we made, our wedding cake that my mother made, etc). My husband and I are definitely not photogenic people and she was really great at directing us and positioning us so that we got some really nice shots.

I am beyond ecstatic that our prints and cd are ready for us well before I thought they would be- only 1 week after the event! She even threw in a bonus CD for us that is an unbelievable steal. She is absolutely a pleasure to work with. And as others' have said, she is completely non-intrusive with ninja-like qualities. :)

The only hang up I had was that I am nursing my son and she was uncomfortable taking a picture of him nursing. I can completely understand that, and it had slipped my mind to bring it up beforehand, but we did get 1 nursing shot that I am pleased with. I just wish I had of thought to mention it beforehand so that we might have ended up with a few more. I don't fault her for this, as it can be uncomfortable for some. I just felt she was a bit off-put by the request to capture the moment.

Yaritza has a great personality, attention for detail, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her to anyone. She has great packages and is willing to work with you to create a custom package for your event. I would love to work with her again in the future.

Yari is very creative and professional. My wedding guests commented on her professionalism and flexibility. I was two hours late! And still she was upbeat and taking pictures of the guests to keep them busy while I arrived.
I had a destination baseball-themed wedding and she remembered all the crazy pictures I asked her for, and she added a few more (like me tagging the groom on first base and us kissing at home while the umpire/minister signaled 'safe'). When I got the wedding book I was blown away and asked her for two more. Two thumbs up!!
