Mother of the Bride
Yarborough Mills is a gem. Karen was very accommodating to the bride’s wishes for the tent placement and other arrangements. Due to very rainy, cold weather we had last minute concerns regarding parking and the honeymoon suite. Karen walked us through options and made it a worry free day. I highly recommend this rustic elegant venue.Sent on 04/15/2019
Yarborough Mill's reply:Thank you so much Lisa, it was our pleasure hosting your wonderful family, and we were thrilled everything worked in your favor as far as the weather. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful bride!

My daughters 1920’s theme wedding 10/27/2018
The owner of Yarborough Mill was so personable and always available if we had questions day or night. We revisited the venue with our daughter the bride and Karen was a gem. Karen and the venue were perfect. I would highly recommend this venue over and over again. We rented the venue for the weekend and loved it.Sent on 11/05/2018

Yarborough Mill is simply a beautiful venue!
Yarborough Mill is simply a beautiful venue! I would recommend it to anyone who wants their wedding to be special. The property is gorgeous and provides everything you would need to make the day exceptional. Our daughter wanted a vintage 1920's style wedding and Yarborough Mill was the only location that could come close to providing the feel we were looking for. In fact it exceeded our expectations. It is also a premier venue for any type of wedding or event where you want the location to be extraordinary. Karen Llop the owner and the staff were extremely pleasant to deal with and made us feel as if we were family. We couldn't be happier with the expirience at Yarborough Mill and frankly it helped make the memories for the wedding something that will last a lifetime!Sent on 11/06/2018
Yarborough Mill's reply:Thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure of hosting your daughter’s wedding here! It was such a fantastic celebration snd so beautifully executed. It was our first themed wedding here, and we can’t stop talking about it! We wish you all the best and thank you again. We can’t wait to see the photographs!

Yarborough Mill was SO perfect for our wedding - we actually live in Michigan but had our wedding in Georgia because Yarborough is so beautiful! We had an intimate morning ceremony (9 adults, 2 kids and a baby) under the pavilion and brunch in the Mill. My wife's family stayed in the cottage on the property for two nights. The venue is rustic but not difficult to navigate to, and there are lots of airbnb/vrbo/homeaway options closeby for guests. Karen is such a kind, sweet person - so happy to help. The little details around the property make it a joyful place to be. Although our ceremony was intimate, the property is definitely big enough for quite large weddings. We were a little nervous to have an LGBT wedding in northern Georgia, but Karen made us feel right at home.Sent on 08/16/2018
Yarborough Mill's reply:Thank you so much Lauren. It was a pleasure having all of you here and such a joy to watch your families enjoying the property, especially seeing your new brother in law fishing in the creek with his children. We hope you will visit us again when you're down this way!

This venue was a dream come true! We still cannot get over how perfect the entire property was for our wedding! Karen is a great person to work with and she's so accommodating and friendly! Every single one of our guests loved it and raved about how beautiful it was. When we first visited, it was a cold and rainy day and we still fell in love!Sent on 01/17/2018
We would recommend this place to everyone because of how unique it is, the shuttle service that knows the area well, and the ability to stay in the guest cottage over night.
Yarborough Mill's reply:Thanks so much Alex! Your wedding was beautiful and having you celebrate your day here was such a pleasure for us! You have a lovely family and we wish you all the best!

Karen is absolutely the best!!! She doesn't treat your wedding like just another day she is very responsive and so helpful!!! Our wedding was so beautiful and aside from the flowers we didn't spend over 100 on our decorations. The place is perfect all on its own!!! It's affordable and your money really does go a long way with this venue!!!Sent on 07/14/2016

This venue is family owned and operated and absolutely gorgeous! This venue is perfect if you are looking for a rustic venue near Atlanta, Georgia. It is located about 1 hour north of Atlanta and there is a variety of hotels nearby.Sent on 03/23/2015
This venue has a Mill, Barn, and old Victorian house located on a stream. The attic of the Barn has a gorgeous honeymoon suite that opens up to the scenic property.
This venue allows you to bring your own caterer and and alcohol and is great for a DIY bride.
Our ceremony was outside by the stream and our reception was in the Mill. It was a perfect day and we are so happy that we choose Yarborough Mill. All of our guest loved it and complimented the beauty of the grounds.

MY EXPERIENCESent on 11/03/2014
I was the first bride to get married at Yarborough Mill. I make this point to illustrate the immense pride in this magical place that houses the memories of the best day of my life. 2 years ago on a trip back home I asked my aunt, who owns Yarborough Mill, if I could get married in this breath taking location. I had a few childhood memories there: running across the grounds, riding horses, exploring sun soaked fields of grass, wading into the creek with my cousins on hot days. After my visit, feeling like I had been on vacation in The Secret Garden, I started to picture the wedding I always dreamed of there.
I had a rare moment alone after our ceremony which was held under the pavilion my uncle built. I was up on the hill by the victorian house, looking down onto our 150 guests drinking from mason jars & sitting on hay bales covered with quilts, the smell of BBQ, twinkle lights, young cousins chasing fireflies and blowing bubbles, Blues music & laughter coming out from the Mill, and I knew with the help of my aunt (and many others), we had created something magical & irreplaceable & as all brides claim, absolutely perfect.
Yarborough Mill is not trying to be a "cute farm" to appeal to wedding trends of our generation, it is authentic beyond all belief. Yarborough Mill is a magical place owned by a real family who has poured decades of love into creating something genuine, refined, warm & heartfelt. Each building has a deep history and has maintained it's structural integrity and beauty.
While this setting could suite any couple type and hold up your vision and preferred aesthetic, high-end, hipster, farmy-chic, etc. We wanted laid back with hand-made details, barefoot in the creek, home-grown food, fire pits, barns and sunset dancing to Blues music. This place allowed us to make that happen. I wanted to share everything I've known was magical about the place since I was a kid, with everyone we love, and when we did, it was perfect.

Karen Llop provided the magical experience in an effortless manner. She is very accommodating and the bride, my daughter, was very happy with the experience. Karen was responsive and professional in every aspect of her offerings. She will do everything to make your event more than you would expect. Yarborough Mill is an authentic mill with a stream, main beautiful Victorian home, guest house, barn, fields and more. Visit her and you will be ready and willing to host a wedding, corporate event, family reunion or church gathering.Sent on 12/04/2014

The venue is stunning, and is definitely a good deal. It is family run which is mostly a good thing. Karen is kind and helpful, but definitely has some rules that you need to look into. They're mostly fair, but just be aware. One of the best things about the venue is that you can typically set up the day before. It can also be BYOB which saves a ton of money. This saved me from being exhausted the day of as our decorations were all DIY. Charming and Rustic Venue
Fantastic venue. Naturally beautiful and doesn't need much decoration. Karen took great care of us from the get go. Note that on-site accommodations (if you are staying on-site) are not the Hilton, i.e., it fits the rustic theme, so if you are very picky about your housing, get a hotel in nearby Calhoun. However, staying on-site with out friends in the guest house was one of our favorite pieces of the wedding, so it really is specific to what you are looking for. :)Sent on 10/26/2018

BEAUTIFUL property. We loved the look of the venue, and had a lovely ceremony.Sent on 05/31/2015
We stayed in the honeymoon suite which wasn't very private. We heard the property owners walking around and laughing late at night and there were cracks in the walls so it wasn't very private.
Other than that, everything was perfect!!!
