I found Yang on Instagram while viewing our venue's page and the photographers that others used there. I immediately liked the quality and lighting of Yang's photos. I checked out his website and liked his personal touch so I reached out and he got back to me right away, which is so nice when so many other vendors have you waiting for awhile. We met Yang and everything from start to finish was done thoughtfully, was well organized, explained clearly and the product was high quality! Yang was dependable, professional and easy going! And he's such a nice guy! We had a blast taking pictures on our wedding day and he added so much warmth and joy to the day! He sent us some pictures a few days after the wedding to give us a sneak peak! We were so excited and they came out great! And then a couple weeks later we received the rest and they look so good! The quality is so good and he captured great moments from the night! As we looked at them it brought those moments to life and brought us so much joy! -

Highly Recommend Yang!
We had a great experience working with Yang from beginning to end. Yang was very friendly, professional and easy to work with. He was very responsive whenever I reached out via email or text. He helped us be comfortable in front of the camera (my husband doesn't particularly like to take photos haha). He was patient with our families and the various family combos they wanted photos of. We were introduced to Yang’s work by a friend of a friend who had Yang photographed their wedding last year at the same venue. It was helpful that he was familiar with our venue and gave us some tips. His photography aesthetic aligns very well with what we were looking for — bright, happy, romantic! The turn around time for our photos was fast as well. We highly recommend Yang for your wedding or special occasion!

A good friend of mine recommended to consider Yang Lu Photography for my wedding. Choosing a wedding photographer is not an easy task. My husband and I interviewed a few vendors, but Yang sent out because of his neat presentation. After our first video call, we knew exactly what to expect and everything was clear and easy. I asked like 1000 questions and Yang passionately answered all of them. After talking to several other photographers we did not doubt that we only wanted Yang Lu for our wedding.
The process: Yang created a rough timeline with recommendations. We had 4 video appointments in total: initial, mid-way, final, and extra final (we had to re-make our timeline due to daylight saving and we had to meet again to see what could be done)
Our package: we picked the most popular option with 2 photographers. I was skeptical if we needed 2 photographers, but in the end, I am so happy we picked 2. 2photographers mean more angles and a higher chance to capture those special moments.
Payment: Yang offers multiple different packages and a very convenient way of paying in incremental amounts, we had 3 payments, first (when we signed the contract), mid-way, and final.
Challenge: Our wedding was on Nov 5th, 2023 which was the day of daylight savings, and we didn't know about it till a week before our appointment. Originally we didn't plan to have the first look, but because we lost one hour of daylight we decided to change it and Yang was happy to assist in creating a new timeline
The day of: Yang arrived on site on time and started working right away. When you hire Yang you don't need to worry about anything, he knows what he is doing and you can just enjoy your day. That is what I was doing, I trusted him 100% and I am very happy I did.
The result: The wedding gallery was ready in 3!! weeks after the wedding, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised because we were expecting them in a month. Fist teaser was ready almost the next day after the wedding we were so surprised and so happy to see some of our beautiful wedding pictures so soon. Wedding pictures turned out STUNNING! I can't even count how many of them are my the most favorites!
The section of the photo gallery that I absolutely love is the first dance, dancing, and grand exit. I want to highlight that Yang did some black-and-white versions of our pictures and they are THE BEST! -

Perfect photos of our perfect day!
Yang captured our wedding day 8.20.23 so perfectly!
Not only that but he made the time leading up to our wedding day easy as well. He was flexible with his photography packages to fit our needs, he was very responsive to any questions we had, and his obvious passion and knowledge about photographing weddings really put our minds at ease.
On the day of, Yang and his second shooter Benji were early and suggested we arrive early too in order to get the shots we wanted in. Yang was professional, but also so fun to hang out with while we took photos. He was everything everywhere all at once, but did so gracefully and in a way that wasn’t disruptive or distracting to us or our guests.
Our photos were ready way faster than we expected and every one of them is shot and edited so tastefully and beautifully. Deciding which ones to post and print is going to be so hard because we love all of them!
We can’t thank Yang and Benji enough for capturing our perfect day and 100% recommend @yangluphotography to anyone who’s in the market for a photographer!

We are sooo happy and grateful to have Yang as our wedding photographer!!! We have known Yang from college and have seen Yang's work on IG and facebook over the years, so we were already confident with Yang's expertise to begin with. But wow, his performance, style, and final pictures were actually all above our expectations! Not only did he deliver the most perfect wedding photos, but he also created a wonderful photography experience with us and our family and friends. We were comfortable with him walking us through everything. He found all the beautiful spots to photograph even though it was his first time at Hollins House. He has great energy, is super experienced and is good at communicating with people. I also appreciated how calm he was as I remembered turning to him for reassurance during the few stressful moments of the day. We got the final photos fast also. Overall, he is an amazing photographer and we would highly recommend Yang for his services! Thank you Yang for your awesome work and making our wedding day so memorable! -

My husband and I both know that finding the right photographer to capture your special day is important to help your remember it years later, and were very excited that Yang was able to capture our day beautifully and genuinely! We had an excellent experience working with Yang and his team for our wedding. We reached out about 4 months before our wedding and luckily he was still available. We had first found Yang through Instagram but our videographer also recommended him as they had worked together on a previous wedding. We are a relaxed and laid back couple and were looking for vendors that would fit our energy.
From our first meeting with Yang he was very professional and had a great presentation about his services and the philosophy behind his work. We were extremely happy with his offerings and we thought he would be a great match for our day.
Recently Yang has just delivered our photos, 3 weeks after our wedding and we are in love. Yang and his team were able to capture exactly what we wanted. We also love the ability to share our photos with our loved ones through the easy online portal gallery he created. Yang was awesome in directing us and choosing beautiful background settings. We can't recommend Yang enough and I would encourage anyone who is thinking of working with him to sit down and have a conversation. He is such a nice guy and will help preserve your memories forever! -

Best Decision Ever - Highly Recommend Yang!
TLDR: We 100% recommend Yang. He is such a talented photographer who was able to capture both our engagement shoot and wedding day, He is a very detail-oriented, approachable, punctual, reliable and professional photographer. If you're researching for a wedding photographer in the Bay Area that is reasonably priced, look no further! He's a Top 10 Bay Area Wedding Photographer for a reason :)
I've been following Yang on Instagram for little over a year and was excited to hear that he was available after I had reached out asking if he could be our wedding photographer. We had a consultation call where he went over the different packages and he answered all our questions- we went with 2 packages - engagement shoot and wedding day. Both were reasonably priced and it was definitely worth every penny! After a wedding, you usually end up thinking about what all parts of the wedding were well worth the money and hands down the best thing we spent money on for the wedding were the photos.
For the engagement shoot, we went to various locations in SF and Yang made us feel very comfortable especially since we're a bit camera shy and he gave us tips on how to pose. We absolutely loved how the engagement photos turned out - so we had no doubt that our wedding photos would turn out amazing, which was the case. He was very flexible and the whole day was very relaxing and surprisingly a lot of fun. Before the wedding day, we met a few times to go over the schedule and he was very attentive to all the details - we wanted him to capture specific parts of the wedding day that he may not be aware of. Looking at all the photos now, he made sure to capture it all :) I think of the photos that surprised me the most was that he went to the second level of the church (which I never told him to do) and he took some beautiful photos from that angle. Throughout the wedding day, I saw Yang working hard capturing all the moments and I never once had to worry because I knew it would turn out great.
Yang had a really fast turnaround - we got to see the photos during our honeymoon! We were so excited to share the photos with friends and family and everyone loved how it turned out. Thank you Yang for capturing our engagement and wedding day. We will definitely be reaching out to you for other sessions in the future :) -

Amazing experience and beautiful photos
Yang was absolutely amazing. Our photos came out better than I could have ever asked! We hit some hiccups with lighting and wind for our first look, but Yang was able to make on the fly adjustments and all the photos came out beautifully. He captured the essence of our special day and made us feel incredibly comfortable taking photos. He was also super easy to get in touch with and was very responsive to all my questions! -

Tl;dr - Yang is a fantastic photographer, and you should definitely choose him to photograph your wedding! He is fantastic at communicating before and during the wedding, has a great artistic eye for creative angles, and takes unique and dynamic shots. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
Yang and I know each other as classmates from Berkeley, and we’ve kept touch off and on since graduating years ago. I knew he was growing his photography interest into a business, and I loved his style of shooting. When I reached out to him about potentially photographing our wedding, he immediately made us feel at ease, and throughout the whole wedding planning process, he was very responsive to all of our questions, no matter how big or small. On top of that, during the wedding planning process, because he’s had so much experience under his belt, he gave us some tips and advice on what he usually sees, what works well for weddings, and how we can plan our wedding to go as smoothly as possible.
We especially appreciated Yang’s flexibility during the pandemic - we ended up rescheduling our wedding TWICE, and no matter the change or delay, Yang was proactive and worked with our plans.
Our wedding photoshoot was unique. We did our wedding party photos at UC Berkeley, and our ceremony and reception at Chabot Space & Science Center. As a Berkeley alum, Yang had recommendations on where to take photos, but he also took into consideration what locations we wanted. This meant he captured unique angles and backgrounds that I hadn’t seen before with other engagement/wedding shoots at Berkeley. It was also challenging shooting our wedding because it was so bright and sunny that day - but he caught great moments (including some really fun candids) and did his best to work with the harsh light and environment.
Yang did a great job finding angles and shots for our couple photos at Chabot, despite having never shot at the space before. He used the windows of the museum hallways to capture reflections, shot photos from around the corner, and snapped romantic shots of us in the planetarium under the moon. I especially loved his direction in telling us how to move, which created dynamic shots - whether it be twirling or running towards the camera, even if you felt silly in the moment, Yang's photos really captured movement well!
Yang is also great at directing large groups. There were 16 in our wedding party, but he framed shots in a way that got everyone in, and gave much-appreciated direction in posing for photos. He’s particularly good at helping people who aren’t used to being in photographs with gentle direction on how to pose and angle so that they look natural and relaxed on camera. He was also incredibly efficient, and despite having to work with such a large group and various iterations of groups, it didn’t take long for him to get the shot he needed. An added bonus for me is that he speaks Cantonese, which really helped with certain family members.
I can confidently say as a friend and a client, Yang is a wonderful wedding photographer, and I am personally recommending him to as many friends as I can! -

Short story: It was amazing working with Yang - He is dependable, personable, and most importantly, a great photographer. He captured the big moments and the details of our wedding that allow us to relive our special day! We can't thank him and his assistant enough for the great wedding tips and the wonderful photos! Highly recommend him for your special occasions!
Full Experience: We found Yang through Instagram and loved his style - We appreciated how natural couples looked in his photos (no awkward poses!). Specifically, we loved the how the candid and posed photos conveyed so much joy and smiles!
Prior to our wedding, Yang actually took the time to get to know over coffee, which we thought was really nice! As our wedding date neared, Yang also touched base with us to go over our timeline and the key moments that would important to capture. He also gave us great tidbits on how to capture the best photos during our ceremony! We fully appreciated his organization, communication, and preparation prior to our wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Yang and his assistant (Benji) were both truly experts in their field! Yang was knowledgeable and knew exactly how to guide us and knew the best spots for photos. He was also able to take charge to give direction to my guests for the group photos, which I really appreciate! Lastly, Yang and Benji were both really personable and easy to work with throughout the day! They actually helped make the day run very smoothly!
Yang also has a quick turnaround time for our photos. My husband and I absolutely love the photos that he took. It was such a nice balance between posed portraits with the guests, bridal party, and couple (my husband and I) and candid photos! In addition, we really really appreciate the detail shots that he and his assistant took throughout the venue (signage, florals, desserts). These little detail shots are just as important as capturing the big moment because it is an accumulation of everything that makes the day so special. We're so grateful for the whole collection that he put together!
We're so grateful to have had Yang photograph our wedding! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to capture our special day! -

Yang is, simply put, an amazing photographer and we can't recommend him enough for your wedding and engagement photos! From the get go, we were immediately drawn to his style, how pretty and natural the photos are. During our first consultation, he was really engaging, prepared, and knowledgeable and also very understanding of what we were hoping for. We knew that he would execute our vision with his experience and skills!
We started with engagement photos, which I highly recommend! When the spot we decided on was unexpectedly closed, Yang was quick to suggest a new place (Seal Cove), which we ended up loving even more! I was worried about being self conscious but he really put us at ease, giving us pointers on how to pose naturally and making it fun. In just an hour, he fit in so many great shots. The pictures turned out beautifully and we were so excited to :)
On the wedding day, Yang and his second shooter (Benji) were awesome to work with. They were so professional, efficient, and engaging and made the experience seamless. It gets hectic on the wedding day but Yang was there to get all the shots we wanted and then some in a really effective way and keep us on track. He also works really well with groups and was creative with how he positioned us (our bridal party had a blast!). He also is very aware of lighting and composition. I knew we were in good hands. Many of our family and bridal party told us how much they liked working with Yang and how impressed they were with the photos too!
Yang was quick to turnaround our photos, which we really appreciated. We were seriously blown away! He captured all the moments and emotions so beautifully. Working with Yang was such a fun and easy experience (even for the slightly camera shy :) ). Thank you, Yang, for our amazing photographer for our special day! -

So in Love with My Wedding Pictures!
I received my wedding photos back today and I am in complete shock!!! These photos are so BEAUTIFUL!!! Yang was so wonderful to work with from beginning to end. He is super organized (which really helps when dealing with so many vendors), great at communicating, and flexible (we had to postpone our wedding date to the following year due to Covid). He didn't need any direction other than the wedding schedule and did his thing. I did not have my phone out once hoping that he would capture everything from the welcome sign, guestbook table, all of the table decorations, sweetheart table, my dress, my shoes, and bridal portraits and he delivered!!! Thank you Yang for capturing EVERY part of the wedding for me and for making it so difficult to choose which pictures to get printed and framed :D -

We actually ended up hiring Yang when our first photography vendor canceled on us. We found Yang on Instagram and what drew us to him was his focus on storytelling and connecting with his clients. We were so relieved to find out he was available for our wedding date. Yang quickly scheduled a Zoom meeting with me and my then-fiance to learn more about our story and our expectations. He had a whole presentation planned and we were impressed by his preparedness and personable nature. We ended up cancelling meetings with other potential photographers and booked with Yang. He scheduled an in-person meeting over dessert and got to know us better as a couple. We thought was such a nice gesture and really goes to show how much Yang tries to connect with his clients to deliver services that were personal to us. He connected with us again closer to the wedding helped us hash out a timeline with must-shots. On the day of, Yang was punctual, present, and collaborative. His team worked cohesively with the videographer (he recommended to us who was also amazing). We had a long 13 hour wedding day and Yang was there to capture all of the important moments. Not only that, he effectively managed navigating to 4 different locations, our 10 person bridal party, documenting moments with our 200 guests, and many other special requests all while keeping us on a strict timeline. He captured our cultural ceremony with knowledge as well as aspects of the wedding that were new to him, like our private first looks and vows with matched expertise. Yang gave awesome suggestions and was engaging to our wedding party and respectful to our family members. My husband and I are SO INCREDIBLY impressed with Yang’s ability to connect to the essence of our relationship and capture it in his photography. I am confident to say his services was one of the best investments we made. He skillfully captured every emotion and translated our best selves into touching photos. Though I haven’t seen all of the final products (he took over 3000 photos) the previews he provided us wowed not only us but our family and friends and other vendors! My husband and I cannot express enough of our gratitude to him for catching the moments we didn’t see in person and memorializing our special day for years to come. We would recommend Yang as a photographer in a heartbeat! -

Absolutely the best!
Let’s start with the most important part: book Yang for your wedding. Right this second. He was so incredibly wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. In the beginning Yang makes sure to really get to know you and what you are looking for. He scheduled a face-to-face conference call with us just as we were beginning to review his services to introduce himself and help answer all of our questions. We knew we wanted to work with Yang based on the quality of his photos and portfolios, but to connect with someone personally and see how kind, thoughtful, and professional he is really sealed the deal for us! I’m not sure if this is something most wedding vendors/photographers do, but Yang was the only vendor we had who made an effort for these very personable meetings, and they were so helpful and appreciated. As we moved through the process, we even met up in person once (pre-pandemic) to sign our contracts and make sure all our questions/planning needs were moving along.
A few months before our wedding date, we realized we needed to postpone our event due to COVID, as so many experienced last year. We are so thankful that all of our vendors were so understanding. Yang was actually the first to reach out to us to ask how we were feeling, and to make sure he stayed in the loop about how we planned to move forward. Fast forward a year later and Yang stuck with us to our rescheduled event. We had one last video conference check-in to run through the game plan for the day, but through it all we felt so at ease in Yang’s hands. His attention to detail and organization throughout our conversations left us feeling so solid about the photos for our day.
We ended up with about 75 guests at our wedding at a large outdoor ranch venue in Livermore. Yang worked so incredibly hard for us as a single shooter for our wedding day, and captured every moment! It was a hot day with a lot of ground to cover, but Yang quickly familiarized himself with the venue and set up spaces for our wedding party and first look shots. I imagine trying to direct groups of family and friends on a wedding day is somewhat like herding cats (at least that’s how I felt at times!) but Yang kept the day so fun and easy going, all while helping us keep to a timeline and ensuring everyone had tips on the best ways to pose.
Throughout the wedding, Yang snuck us away from the crowds a few times to get some really unique shots in various places around the venue. The pictures from these are some of my favorites, and during the wedding felt extra special to have a moment with each other as newlyweds, and to soak in all the magic going on around us. Even before we received the full photos, our friends and family raved about how wonderful Yang was on the wedding day. We’ve had several people comment on how impressed they were at his techniques to ensure he got the important shots (again, he was a solo photographer for our day!). For example, when looking back through the photos my husband and I were surprised to see how close in Yang got to the exchange of rings or during our first dance. We even wondered if he brought a bigger lens to get that close-up shot from afar because we didn’t even notice him! Yang got in where he needed to for the best photos from the most important moments, and then was out of sight! His stealthy moves captured such wonderful memories for us, and all the while we were oblivious and just in the moment of the day.
We were not expecting them so quickly, but Yang turned around our photos two weeks after our event, and shared many sneak peek pictures along the way on his Instagram. He even made us a video slideshow with our first dance song after one week to tide us over. It was such a thoughtful touch!
Bottom line, Yang has our highest recommendation. Go book him now before he books up!! Thank you for everything, Yang!

Engagement photoshoot
We had booked with Yang months ago thinking we were going to do the wedding ceremony at the end of 2021, but then the second lockdown happened.
Even though our wedding date isn’t set, we still wanted to move forward with an engagement session in the springtime.
It was a beautiful, sunny, but VERY chilly afternoon in SF. My hair didn’t favor the wind either haha. Despite how chilly it was, we had SO MUCH FUN during the photoshoot.
Yang was very easy to work with! He would give us a couple of pointers before each shot which really helped since it was our first professional photoshoot. The photos came out amazing and very natural. We’re looking forward to working with Yang when we do have the wedding ceremony! -

We really enjoyed working with Yang— he gave us a very fair price for our shortened wedding day shoot (ceremony only due to Covid), was really generous with his time when we had our initial meeting with him, and was overall incredibly professional and talented. He’s also a fun and calm presence to be around, which is important on your wedding day!
Turnaround was also crazy fast for this industry, under a week, which absolutely exceeded my expectations. And I love our photos! He captured some amazing moments. He also had some good tips on how to angle our heads and bodies during photos— my only regret is that I didn’t ask him for those sooner!
Because our wedding was a small event, we didn’t need to take advantage of his timeline services, but I have no doubt that he would be an excellent resource when planning out your day. -

What can I say to accurately elucidate the incredible service Yang provided for my wedding?
I'll list the facts and you'll see exactly why you should hire him:
1. Yang was and is highly communicative and professional from the beginning of our interviews with him to the end. He'd respond to emails and texts always within 24 hours.
2. Yang is proactive. Before our wedding, he wasn't familiar with our venue so he ventured on his weekend time to our original pre-COVID venue to check it out to ensure he knew the lay of the land before the wedding day.
He also met us for coffee beforehand (pre-COVID) to get a sense of what we wanted and if his art was a right fit for us.
3. Yang doesn't settle for mediocre. Yang saw where couples normally take sunset photos and found somewhere better to make sure we got the perfect shots. He didn't need to do that, he just did because he wanted nothing short of perfect for us.
4. Yang is incredibly accommodating. We booked Yang before COVID happened and when we were trying to figure out what to do he was 100% flexible with us on how and where we'd do our wedding. When everything turned upside down, he was a constant that helped us keep our sanity (same on the wedding day!).
5. Yang knows his stuff. He helped build out the timeline of the wedding and instructed the planners and videographers on direction of the event. He ran the timeline of the entire wedding (which is amazing!) because he made sure we had time to eat, get great photos, and capture wonderful candid moments.
Yang captured moments that my husband and I will carry for the rest of our lives and for that we will always be indebted to Yang and his amazing assistant!
Also Yang has this awesome clip-in camera holder belt that looks so cool and legit. -

Professional wedding photographer
What better place to start than the beginning, we knew we wanted to hire Yang as our wedding photographer from our very first conversation with him. From our first conversation to the celebration of our big day, Yang showed himself to be very responsible, professional, friendly, and super easy to work with.
During our initial phone conversation and throughout the process, we had a lot of questions about what kind of photography style Yang had, logistical questions about locations where we could shoot, questions about poses and many other questions. At a time when we had so many questions and unknowns about what it takes to plan a wedding, we were so fortunate to have Yang share his wedding shooting experience to ensure that all the memorable moments of our big day were planned and captured.
For our engagement photoshoot, we traveled to 3 sites in a day. We chose the first site based on its meaning to us as a couple. Yang arrived early to the site before our arrival to scope it out and we were amazed to see all the vantage points Yang was able to find to frame some truly outstanding photos. For the following locations, we gave Yang an idea of what kind of scenery we would like and Yang chose some superb sites. We never considered ourselves photogenic but with Yang’s guidance on poses and his incredible patience, we were able to have some beautiful photos. During our wedding, Yang truly showed himself to be a veteran, he and his assistant were fantastic and did an amazing job of capturing all the important and memorable moments. He coordinated well with our videographer and was an integral part of what made our wedding a success.
Yang’s photo turnaround time was super duper quick for both engagement and wedding photos, you will not believe how quickly and how amazing his photos are until you hire him!!! We loved how all the photos came out, and got tons of compliments from friends and families when we shared the photo albums. Yang has a shooting and editing style that is natural but incredibly sharp and refined. The composition and colors of every photo we received from him was absolutely perfect. We could not picture anything that we would change about the photos we received and we could not picture our wedding without Yang.
In short, Yang is a dedicated, talented and patient photographer who will work with you to ensure that the photo memories you have from your big day will be perfect. -

Love his work
For our engagement shoot, we wanted something more fun and casual at the Facebook HQ. Yang completely exceeded our expectation and we loved how the photos came out!
Yang is very professional and made us feel comfortable during the photo shoot. We are camera-shy people, so we were pretty awkward in front of the camera at first. He taught us how to pose and smile naturally. He has a keen photographer eye in capturing artistic compositions in places we would have no idea otherwise, especially in the Classic campus.
We were really impressed by the quality and turnaround time. We would not hesitate to have Yang as our photographer for another occasion if we have the opportunity! -

Yang is amazing. If you're looking for a punctual, professional, humorous, dedicated, thoughtful, and patient person .... look no further (well it would look like I'm describing the ideal husband but actually it's the ideal photographer)!
We booked Yang for our civil ceremony at San Francisco city hall and for our Chinese wedding reception in Oakland CA. We knew of Yang through a friend who only gave praises and i can now echo the same sentiments.
Yang is a quick responder! Send him an email and he will get back to you so quick! He showed much interest in getting to know us, and our story.
Yangs style, if I could describe it, would be enhanced natural, light and real. I didn't want a photographer to over edit our photos- I wanted good quality photos that looked professional , and flawless to the eye (lighting, angles, shadows, thoughtful positioning). Yang captures all of that and more!
Yang is knowledgeable of the layout of San Francisco city hall. As newbies to professional photographs.. we were pretty lost in what to do but Yang made us feel 100% comfortable all the time (he also does a great job in making sure we are feeling relaxed!). He's so easy to work with, has all the latest equipment, doesn't skimp on trying to get the best shot, doesn't make you feel rushed. We received pictures what we'll cherish forever. They're just perfect!
We booked Yang also for 10+ hours for our Chinese wedding reception. Yes. Yang was with us all day. He brought a counterpart (Renee) to assist on this day and i was so elated we got a helping hand for photos (Renee was amazing too!) Yang is fit, moves fast, swift but patient. He understood the tasks of the day, the events that would occur and everytime I thought I needed him, he was already there! Yang knows how to pose people! He is patient with group photos, knows how to scout, test and photographer new spaces... and I can see his excitement when he's in a new place looking for the perfect backdrop!

I have no criticism for Yang. He met every expectation I had for our big days - which is the best I could've asked for. I appreciate him so much and can't wait for us to work together soon! -

If you want vibrant photos for your wedding, Yang is your professional photographer to get. He will make you comfortable and even teach you how to pose. I am more than happy with my wedding pictures and I would definitely recommend him to ANYONE.

Love the experience we had with Yang! His pricing was reasonable for such a high quality of work. We were so fortunate to get a referral from a good friend when we were planning our wedding. Yang is so punctual to every phone call/ on site photo shoots. Yang is also very friendly to keep me and my husband, newbies in posing for photography, very comfortable and all pictures come out so natural. Use him for every occasions, especially weddings! I am still impressed of how calm he was on a wedding date like mine. Due to budget and the size of my wedding, Yang was doing solo on my wedding and he was able to handle the stress coming from us and our family while capturing all emotions on our special days. -

We are so glad our coworker introduced us to Yang. Not only is he responsive (I'm talking almost instantly), he's friendly and professional at the same time. We appreciated his work ethics very much as well as his work aesthetics!
We loved our city hall ceremony session with him so much we booked our wedding day with him as well! Yang has great tips for us amateurs who didn't know how to pose nicely. :) The process for edited photos was quick and painless. Yang was fast in this aspect. It took less than one week when we got our final edited photos!
He is very reasonably priced with the quality work! Will definitely recommend him. -

Yang is a gem! My fiance and I had never taken professional photos before, and he did an amazing job guiding and helping us feel at ease in front of the camera for our engagement photos. Yang made sure we would be captured at our best - before starting the shoot, he even gave us tips on how to pose :) He is also very responsive, reliable, and attentive to his clients' needs. Yang is a pro. We worked with Yang for our engagement and Wedding photos and were not disappointed. This is going to be a long one, but read on if you want to hear about our experience:
1. Engagement: When we had our engagement shoot, we decided the venue to be our (bride & groom's) alma mater and chose a weekend that we thought was going to be quiet around campus due to holidays. Unfortunately, we found out the day of that it happened to be a football game day. Because of road blockages, we couldn't get to the part of campus we wanted photos at, and I (the bride) was getting pretty flustered. I thought of an alternate location to start the shoot at, that had a similar background (nature, trees, etc.) to where I wanted us to originally start the photoshoot. We asked Yang to meet us there instead, and started our session. Though I started off pretty stressed because of the unexpected venue change (which I should've done more research on), Yang did an awesome job making both of us feel comfortable and relaxed. He's really good at suggesting poses and makes a point to ASK if it's ok for him to "touch" to guide our hands so we can pose like a pro. I appreciated this, and thought he was a very considerate professional. We walked through our hilly campus everywhere and Yang didn't seem tired at all through the whole ordeal, so that was impressive. We ended the session near where we started, and thanked him for being so awesome. His turnaround time was so quick, I was amazed! Furthermore, I had gone to the engagement session after getting a trial makeup & hair job that went bad. When I wanted slight filter edits because of the way my skin looked, Yang was so flexible and made those changes right away. I loved how the photos came out, and we of course used them for our Save the Date & Final Invite cards. I also ended up asking Yang for recommendations of Make up artists he has worked with before, did a trial with the artist after the engagement shoot, and loved it.
2. Wedding: Since we had such a great experience with Yang for our engagement shoot, we knew we had nothing to worry about in regards to photographs on our wedding day. We got the package that got us 2 photographers (Yang and another one, Krystal) to be on site, and it was one of the best investments we made for the wedding. We wanted this so that we would also get plenty of photos of our guests, as well as us (the married couple) - and that's exactly what we got! He also stayed very long into the night, which my mom also noted and was thankful for. I believe the turnaround time for Yang to share all the edited, beautiful photos was about 5 days. We were on our honeymoon at the time, but couldn't resist going through the smaller folder (that's right, he even put 2 folders - one for ALL the photos, and another for a select number of photos that I assume he thought were the best) over and over again.
The TLDR version of this review is:
Yang is a pro photographer who makes his clients feel comfortable and relaxed, and that comes out in the beautiful photos he takes and edits for more dramatic effect. He is flexible and creative at the same time, always looking for opportunities/items to leverage for a more creative shoot :). He is also punctual, and if you want a photographer who will send you Google Calendar invites for meetings and photo shoots, this is the one! We loved working with him, and would love to do so again for any of our future photography needs.
