Hire Yan any chance you get!!!
Let me start by saying that Photo/Video was probably the most important vendor for me, so hiring the right team was absolutely necessary. I've been working with Yan for about 2 years now and he never ceases to amaze me with his brilliant photography. Yan is INSANELY talented. Like, the real deal. He did our engagement shoot in December 2019 and the pictures were unreal - it was that moment we knew we made the right choice. Not only were the pictures crazy beautiful, but he sent a few of them that night, and we had the whole album less than a week later. So many people raved about these pictures, asked for Yan's information, and a few hired him for their wedding. Our wedding was Nov 2021 and once again, Yan pulled through. It put me at ease on wedding day knowing that I trusted Yan 100% to take absolutely breathtaking pictures - he knows how to set you up, makes you comfortable in front of the camera, and is so efficient in doing so (knowing that no one wants to be taking pictures longer than they have to!). Throughout wedding day, Yan would show me the pictures in real time on his camera - this was amazing, even my bridesmaids were commenting how fantastic that was. Of course, I was blown away by every picture I saw. The next day Yan texted us some teasers, and before we even left for our honeymoon a week later, we had the whole digital album. I can't recommend Yan and his team enough - I've been doing so for the past 2 years and will continue to do so forever.

Yan was a great photographer to work with for my wedding. He is very professional and knew all the right angles to capture! We did a first look before our morning ceremony and when I expressed my concerns about time, Yan assured me that we would get all the pictures we needed before the ceremony with plenty of time to spare and he made sure of it! The best out there! (And the cutest dog)
Yan has just been outstanding. At every point he's gone above and beyond what we expected. He really went for the perfect shot in every scenario, even using the reflection off of a glass table to get a really cool effect that I can't imagine anyone else would've thought of. This just speaks to his attention to detail and the dedication he has to his craft. Both my bride and I are are not great at getting our picture taken but from the engagement photo shoot to the wedding Yan made us feel really comfortable and you can really see how important that is. Even when it started to rain he stayed incredibly calm and really helped us weather the storm. He also made sure to capture, not just the big events, but also great small moments that I'm sure we wouldn't remember without a photo to remind us about it. The album that you get is also outstanding. Yan picked out great shot and if you want to change anything makes the process really easy and couldn't be more accommodating. We love showing it off!
It goes without saying that he is an absolute professional. He respected our timelines at a very early wedding and was fully prepared from the moment he got to the venue. We did have some issues and Yan was quick to correct them and we were more than pleased with his work.
Bottom-line is we'd recommend Yan for any photography needs and we know you'll be happy when you see the final result. Make sure to say hi to his aborable Frenchie Gigi!

You can't go wrong with Yan!
Yan is the most professional photographer I have ever met. He was the first vendor that we hired for our wedding day. During our engagement session and our wedding day, he went above and beyond for us! He took sooooo many photos! I am still going through them. Our wedding day was 10-23-21 and we received our full gallery in less than a week. Some of my friends who had their weddings at least a month before us STILL haven't received their photos. His eye for detail is amazing! You just need to trust him and his vision because he will capture some beautiful moments. We are so happy we went with him.

Yan was great throughout the whole process from our first meeting through now 8 months after the wedding. From our first interaction, Yan was very accommodating. He showed us his previous work and it was amazing. He suggested different things we can do and let us spitball ideas with our own vision. He was in touch whenever we had a question or idea and even to give his own ideas before our day. On our day he was at our houses early to make sure we had plenty of time to get every picture we wanted. During the ceremony he got every shot we wanted. During the reception he got all of our family pictures first followed by our individual bride and groom pictures. Once we saw the end result we saw how hard Yan worked during the reception to show how good of a time everyone was having. Yan was a joy to work with and we strongly recommend him to any bride and groom that are looking for a fantastic photographer.

My husband I originally planned a wedding for 2020, so you know how the story goes. During a time of unpredictability and uncertainty, Yan made us feel at ease for the 2.5 long awaited years until our wedding. We switched our wedding plans twice- first delaying the date of our wedding by a year, and then ultimately changing our venue from a 300 person banquet hall to a ~100 person backyard wedding. And not once did I have to worry about Yan’s willingness to accommodate us. Yan is honest, patient, flexible, and most importantly a great photographer. If you hire him, he won’t disappoint.

We reached out to Yan because of his excellent existing reviews on WeddingWire. Although he was unable to handle our wedding himself, he put us in touch with his associate Peter Rigo (who I will leave a separate glowing review for) and handled the business matters perfectly. The contract and payment times were very clearly drawn out, he reached out at regular intervals to ensure that we had everything we needed, and created our album exactly as desired (and even shipped it express!)

My wedding was a beautiful, chilly, windy, & sunny November day. Yan captured every lovely aspect of that day. He is a natural talent. There wasn't any time during the entire day that i felt like the photos were forced or premeditated. Words cannot explain how truly incredible
Yan Schwartzman is. From the moment my husband and I met Yan, we knew he was going to be our photographer. He went above and beyond during the entire wedding planning process. He created a wedding day picture schedule, that made the whole day a breeze. Coming from a family that is obsessed with capturing ever moment in life through pictures, it is fair to say he definitely got my friends' and family's stamp of approval. Yan is the man! Phenomenal Photographer
Planning a wedding can be an extremely stressful and daunting process! This makes finding the right vendors, that you mesh well with, so important! Yan was the very first vendor that we met with and from the moment we stepped in the door we instantly felt welcome and knew that we made the right decision. He had come highly recommended from one of our friends. We are both very camera shy and just naturally not used to being the center of attention but Yan made us feel SO comfortable! He posed us in very natural positions and made us laugh. He has such a wonderful personality and is truly a master of his craft! You can tell he truly loves what he does - he gets very excited when he gets a good shot and his passion for photography shows in his work! Great experience! (Even with COVID)
We found Yan online in 2019, met with him and really loved his personality and his approach to his work. He did our engagement photos, which came out beautiful. He was extremely flexible when we needed to reschedule the wedding from June 2020 to November 2020 due to COVID. He was professional, wore a mask the entire time, gave us a sneak peak while taking pictures, threw his artistic touch on the pictures and was an overall great photographer and person to work with. We also hired a second photographer through Yan for part of our day and he was also super professional and took awesome shots, it was nice to have 2 different creative perspectives for the day. Both were very easy for our wedding party and family to get along with. Highly recommend him for anyone, the photos came out fantastic and he does not break your bank.

Yan took the pictures for both our engagement session in March and our wedding in October and we had an incredible experience with him. He is extremely professional and we are beyond thrilled with his work. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and was willing to listen to our requests during the events and the production of our album - which was tastefully done as well! We were extremely blown away by the quality of the pictures we received, and how he was able to depict exactly the loving, fun nature of our wedding. Thanks to his professionalism and exceptional talent, we now have our memories captured forever in pictures we will always cherish and enjoy. we found Yan on Wedding Wire and could not be happier we did. He is so easy to work with. we had our chat via facetime initially. clicked immadiately and then connected to discuss our wedding day vision. during our wedding day he showed up 45 minutes before the meeting time so he can look at the are and find the best spots for our photos. we spent the rest of the day capturing our love, our family and friends having fun and us dancing the night away. he also gave us our wedding pictures within a few days and they were all what we asked for. cannot recommend Yan highly enough

Yan is professional, courteous, and working with him was an absolute pleasure. My husband and I were a bit nervous about the photo taking portion of the wedding as we are both not big on pictures and also didn’t want to have photo fatigue and feel like we spent most of our wedding taking pictures. Yan was absolutely, by far the best photographer we could have asked for! He captured the essence of who were are starting from the moment we met for a consultation, during our engagement shoot and of course, on our wedding day! All of my bridesmaids were raving about how impressed they were with his vision and how they wish they had known about him for their weddings as well! No one better!
We were very fortunate to have Yan as our wedding photographer! From the moment we met him he made us feel very comfortable. He was friendly, professional, and had our best interests at heart. He walked us through the process and gave us plenty of time and space to consider our options. He is incredibly passionate about his work and truly does care about providing memories of such a special day to his couples. We were lucky enough to have him not photograph just 1 but 2 weddings (thanks COVID), an engagement session and my father in-law even hired him for a family photo shoot! He kept us laughing and smiling through the 3 years we got to work with him, and he was always responsive and respectful. I could not say enough amazing things about Yan Schwartzman. From the beginning he was very professional and easy to work with. Always on time and ready to get down to business. From the first day I met Yan, I knew he would be my wedding photographer. After many other appointments with different photographers, I was missing that personal piece in which I felt I was just a number and a date on the calendar. Not with Yan. I found Yan through a website and immediately loved his work. My fiancé and I booked him for our engagement session and for our wedding. He had different packages to choose from and was very easy to work with. Our engagement & wedding photos came out AMAZING! We seriously could not be happier with his work! I met Yan at a Bridal expo and knew from the moment that I met him, that we had to have him photograph our wedding day! Yan’s positive attitude and attention to every important detail made it go so easy. Any request or concern that we had, he made sure it was taken care of. He was so patient with our large bridal party. He was kind, and most importantly excellent to work with. We booked Yan for our outdoor summer wedding on July 10, 2016 in Staten Island, NY, and he was incredible! We knew that the gardens at our venue would look beautiful in photos, and Yan's photography surpassed our already very high expectations. We particularly loved his candid and personal shots of us and our guests. We felt very comfortable putting our trust in his artistry and just enjoying ourselves on our wedding day without any worries! Yan also created a gorgeous leather-bound album for us-- we gave him full reign to select the photos, design, and layout. Yan did an exceptional job! The photos on each page brilliantly complemented each other. He also had an excellent eye for which photos should get a full page or a full spread. Even to this day the photos never fail to impress the people that see them. What meant the most for us was that Yan was very responsive to all our needs and concerns throughout. The whole experience was amazing. We are very much looking forward to working with Yan again on future events!

Look for further for a wedding photographer. Yan has been nothing short of amazing since the very first time we spoke with him. He worked with us prior to our wedding during an engagement photo shoot and his work blew us away. He is not your typical wedding photographer that takes the same cookie cutter photos that you see again and again. He is an artist that takes risks, uses different backdrops and lighting techniques, all while making the entire process fun and light hearted. I never felt stressed with Yan during my wedding day, and he guided me throughout the day to exactly where I needed to be. I would recommend him to anyone (and I already have) who is looking for a wedding photographer.

Wedding Photography Review
We had the pleasure of working with Yan on our engagement shoot and for our wedding photos. He is a brilliant photographer and overall pleasure to work with.
When we first met with him he was informative and seemed very passionate about his work. He was always available when we had questions and was a great help in the planning process. Working with him on the days of the photo shoots was great too. We had both our shoots in the winter so it was cold and wet but he maintained his enthusiasm throughout and kept our spirits high. We also got to take advantage of the weather – getting some great photos in the snow at the end of the night. He explained the photos, poses, and made us both feel so comfortable throughout the process. The pictures came out BEAUTIFUL and so quick! He really has an eye for capturing special moments and incorporating the scenery around you. Cherry on the cake is that he is very affordable – packages are priced very reasonably compared to some other NYC area photographers.

My husband and I tied the knot at Maritime Parc in Jersey City, NJ and having Yan as our wedding photographer was the BEST decision we made. He captured the intimacy of our ceremony and the romance my husband and I felt at our reception. He was professional and worked very well with our other vendors. The best part about working with Yan was that my husband and I were truly able to enjoy our wedding day. He organized and managed our photography time so that we were able to take intricate, detailed, and beautiful photos but did not take away from our dancing and entertaining time with family and friends. Captured every moment ! Wouldn’t recommend anyone else
Having Yan cover our wedding was a pleasure. Photographs are beautiful, they were completed and made available promptly, and he made great use of the location and scenery. What I would praise even more than the photographs are Yan's professionalism, ability to stay on top of things, and how he conducts business. The very first time we spoke with Yan, we were able to schedule a prompt in-person meeting. During the in-person meeting we received a great deal of detail about what he envisioned, and put together a very detailed agenda. We were able to put together a custom package of exactly what we needed. The very next day we had the write up and a contract ready to be reviewed. We are both sticklers for detail, punctuality, due diligence, schedules, and not being tied to a package which includes items not important to us ... Yan delivered on all of those aspects.

Stellar wedding photos taken at Breakers on the Ocean
Yan Schwartzman is a phenomenal wedding photographer! From the moment we met him for our engagement shoot (he arrived early), we found him professional, easy going and skilled. He is easy to get in touch with, open to hearing your ideas, and and catered to our photography style preferences. He was understated and humble, never attempted to boss guests around or steal the show, and was fairly priced. He also has a way of making couples feel completely at ease and candid in front of the camera. We asked Yan to take photos for us similar to the style of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’ royal engagement photos (focused, crisp and candid), and he nailed the engagement shoot on an extremely cold day. Yan took time to set up photos from a variety of angles and vantage points. Master of his craft
First let me explain that after we booked the venue, DJ, and Yan as our photographer - our venue realized they double booked us on the same date. We were devastated and scrambled around the ensure all of our vendors, including Yan, could still be our photographer...Not only was he able to change his schedule but sent us a message saying "don't worry, everything is going to be fine". From the beginning of when we met Yan in his studio we could tell he was a true artist, and just LOVED the work that he did. While he was showing us examples of previous wedding shoots, we could see his face light up with excitement as he showed us the different types of photo's he explained to us. The planning process was so simple. He created a timeline in minutes for our big day and followed up with us as we got closer. On the day of the wedding - He took photos of us getting ready and you really could see the artist come out. He would see the images in his mind and had it all come out through the lens. We took photos during cocktail hour (our choice) and he was able to take, seemingly unnoticeable elements in front of our venue (A tree, a sidewalk etc) and turn it into a background that Hollywood would be envious of. During the entire event, Yan captured amazing action shots on the dance floor and during the speeches and yet you never even knew he was there. He had ninja like skills of being completely undetectable, yet still capturing everything as though he was right in the middle of it. Yan even grabbed us as the sun was setting to get a few more pictures outside since the lighting was perfect. We loved all our pictures that came back and the gallery Yan used to upload is so easy to access and share that we couldn't' ask for anything more. Do yourself a favor and book him...it will be the best decision you ever make.

The perfect photographer!
I hate having my photos taken, but Yan is very good at making you feel comfortable. He was always quick to respond to any questions and I have, and he was able to deliver the photos in just a couple days! My cousin is a professional photographer and could not believe it himself how fast we got them back. We’re talking 800 photos, and the photos are amazing!! So many of the photos during the reception, I don’t even recall him being there. So he’s very good at catching every one of those candid photos. I cannot wait to see the album, I saw one of his albums at a bridal show and they are absolutely gorgeous! 1000% recommend

Yan was the best wedding photographer we could have asked for! He truly is a natural and captured such beautiful photos the day of our wedding ceremony and the reception a year later! Turnover for the photos and album was quick too, which is definitely an added bonus! I would highly recommend Yan.

Professional and Responsive
We initially contacted Yan about being our wedding photographer last spring. He was booked during our date, but he recommended his partner, Peter, to be our wedding photographer. We signed the contract through Yan and went through all of the basic details of our wedding with him. Even though we live quite a distance away, we were still able to easily communicate and plan with both Yan and Peter for our wedding. Both of them were super professional and fun to plan with. We did our meetings with Yan over Facetime, which we really appreciated since we live a few states away from the city where we got married.
Even though we planned a little bit later than most couples, we were still able to get our Engagement session done before the end of the spring, which I really enjoyed. Peter did all of our photography and editing, but Yan was the one who set everything else up and made sure that we were satisfied with the work his partner did. Yan put together our wedding album, which we just got in the mail earlier today. It was beautifully made and I really appreciate that I had the option of getting it shipped to my husband and I since we live a few states away from New Jersey.
All in all, we had a great experience with Yan and his work partner Peter Rigo Photography. I am very happy with the album and photos that we received. When you have a photographer who puts in the extra effort, it really shows and helps your memories shine. I am very happy that we contacted Yan and ended up working with both him and Peter Rigo Photograpy.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!
Yan had the best profile of work and the best pricing. We got quotes from other photographers and they wanted twice as much for only 150 or so photos and 4 hour of shooting. Yan completely scheduled and structured the 7 hours we asked him to be there and we were able to get every photo he took. Unfortunately we had a nor’easter on our wedding day but that didn’t stop Yan from getting gorgeous outside shots of us. We got all the shots we wanted and were able to spend all of cocktail hours and the whole time with our guests. Got the photos shortly after the wedding and are absolutely floored with how everything came out. Yan is the best and his work completely backs that up; an absolute pleasure to work with.

Yan is the best of the best! Just do it!
Yan and his team are an absolute MUST on your wedding day and/or engagement shoot. I knew from the moment I saw his photos he is not “just another wedding photographer”. He is a true artist and creative. Yan has an eye for lighting, angles, and is able to turn any setting into a masterpiece! I was originally looking to spend a bit less on a photographer, but once I saw Yan’s photos and met with him for the first time, I knew he would be worth every penny. We did an engagement shoot leading up to the wedding (which I HIGHLY recommend!) so we were able to get to know his style and he could get to know us as a couple. Yan made us feel relaxed, comfortable, and seamlessly guided us from moment to moment. He has a calming energy about him while still keeping the momentum, which is so valued throughout the wedding process! I love that he is able to master both the bright, airy photo quality as well as dark and dramatic tones. Yan is truly a MASTER at what he does and you will not regret hiring him & his team.

Beautiful Works of Art!
Yan was a pleasure to work with. Throughout the planning process leading up to our wedding he was responsive, informative, and helpful. Then on the day of our wedding he took on a large list of family photos all by himself with great efficiency.
His photos are all beautiful works of art. He knows how to use lighting to make color pop and his black and whites are gorgeous as well. He saw the beauty in a lot of places in and around our wedding venue that made for very romantic photos.
We got our photo gallery back from him in one week which is super fast! He is currently working on one of his stunning photo album for us which we can’t wait to see.
We definitely would recommend Yan to photograph your next event!

Modern Perfection!
We chose Yan because we loved his style of photography - but sitting down to meet with him sealed the deal. He is so personable and down to earth, he never tried to pressure us or upsell us and you can tell he is truly passionate about what he does. He is well schooled in posing people for photos and managed to make my awkward family look like stars! He is technologically savvy which we loved, we were able to view and sign our contract online and make all the payments online as well. Awesome! He is incredibly responsive via text (my personal preference) and extremely quick on turning around the photos. The MORNING AFTER my wedding I awoke to find half a dozen gorgeous images texted to me as a sneak preview! Our entire collection was available online while we were still on our honeymoon! He is an excellent photographer and is quite affordable due to the fact that he works alone without a second shooter (that's the package we chose). I was concerned he might not catch all the moments but he far surpassed our expectations. He got every shot we wanted and captured the joy and magic of our wedding perfectly. Hire him!

Amazing photographer!
I cannot say enough good things about Yan. From the moment my fiance and I met with him, we knew we wanted to hire him. He is very down to earth and thorough with every detail from start to finish. Our engagement shoot was enjoyable and our wedding day was just perfect. I was very specific about certain pictures I wanted both with my bridal party and my family and Yan captured everything beautifully. During our reception, we forgot some pictures and Yan had left and he came back just to take more pictures that we requested. Yan truly goes above and beyond from start to finish. I worked with Yan for my small wedding during covid and then again for our reception. He. Is. Incredible. Yan was so flexible with all of the changes that we needed to make and he communicated whenever needed. Yan listens to exactly what you want and are looking for. My favorite part is that he gets your pictures to you so quickly and each and every one of them are impressive. I highly recommend Yan and I can’t wait to work with Yan again in the future!

I first met Yan at a bridal show at Galloping Hill Golf Course and instantly fell in love with him and his work. From our first meeting, to our engagement session, to the day of the wedding, Yan was polite, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. He is a true master of his craft. Every photo is more gorgeous than the last. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. Not only would I recommend him to friends, but we hope to be able to work with him again sometime in the future.

Yan was perfect. The best vendor we hired for our wedding. Yan was very helpful and very easy to communicate with. Even leading up to our wedding and planning out the day Yan helped us develop a timeline that worked with us and the outside lighting for pictures (December wedding). My absolutely amazing photographer!
Where do we start?! I have written this a million times and I can’t find any more words that can explain how we feel. Yan captured our day exactly how we remember it, all the smiles, all the silly faces and all of the tears. We can’t thank him enough for how much him put into our day and we are so happy with all of our beautiful photos. From start to finish it really feels like our story and we couldn’t be happier. Yan didn’t stop making both Joey and I laugh all day and this was so important because as everyone knows we were both super nervous! Yan was so different to any photographers we have seen because he captured real people doing real expressions and that’s why we loved him!

Simply Amazing!
I had met with a few photographers prior to meeting with Yan and was so torn on which direction I wanted to go. A friend of mine had met Yan at a street fair and recommended I take a look at his work and meet with him. When I met with Yan, I knew I had met my wedding photographer from the first few minutes alone. He was so kind and professional, asking me what I envisioned for the day and all of the pictures and albums he had samples of were just amazing. You can tell that he loves what he does and has such a passion for capturing moments and memories. The day of my wedding, Yan knew exactly what to shoot and when, getting just the right amount of formal shots as well as candids. There were several small children in my wedding and they were constantly running in and out of pictures and not cooperating, Yan didn't miss a beat, he laughed it off and kept on shooting. I received a few pictures from him the next day and then had my full gallery within a few days. I WAS COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY! I cried such happy tears when I saw my wedding photos, they are AMAZING. I've received so many compliments on the photos and am truly thankful to have had Yan there to capture one of the most amazing days of my life. Thank you so much Yan!

The Most Beautiful Work
I cannot recommend any other photographer more than Yan! Yan takes AMAZING photos and works with his clients well! For people who are not exactly the most photogenic/ natural posers lol (aka me haha)! Yan not only tells you what to do, but shows you! His art is more than just his ability to capture a beautiful photo, but also to help create those gorgeous moments! Furthermore, Yan has a way of capturing photos that are different; he thinks out of the box and is truly willing to take the time to try new ideas!

Yan is absolutely INCREDIBLE. My husband and I could not be happier that we went with Yan!! Not only is his work stunning, but he is a true professional and at every step he went above and beyond for us. He was always kind, accommodating, quick to respond to any and all questions and we received our photographs and album ahead of expectation! From the moment we met him, we immediately felt comfortable as he's one of the nicest people and we could tell that he has a deep passion for his work. That passion shows as we were blown away with his portfolio and then blown away even more when we received our wedding proofs! He has a great eye for lighting and capturing those perfect "in the moment" shots. We now have a treasure trove of photos to cherish that perfectly captured our day.
