Karan was great!

I am very glad to have worked with Karan for our reception decor. We were very grateful that Karan agreed to decorate only our reception, since we had outside vendors for our garba and wedding. We met him for a meeting to talk about our vision and colors, schemes, and goals for the decor and we felt very good after we left that conversation knowing that Karan had got a good sense of what we wanted! He understood when I said I liked the rustic but modern look. We also really appreciated Karan agreeing to add our request of a wrapped dance floor and gold monogram at the last minute. We loved our reception decor and how everything came together, even the little details. We even had a little mishap before the reception started with the loveseat on the stage and Karan went above and beyond to fix it (which meant going out to stores to find a new loveseat)! We are grateful for Karan and his team and would recommend them to anyone!

Beautiful ceremony decor

From the minute we met Karan we knew that his company was going to be perfect for our decor. We still checked with two other vendors but in the end came back to Karan because he understood exactly what we wanted. Although we had a challenging space to work with Karan did several walkthroughs and gave us very good options to ensure that the mandap and ceremony decor would fit our vision. He was respectful of our budget and flexible on including items or excluding items that did not work for us. The resulting ceremony space was exactly what we envisioned and our guests are still raving about it. If you want a worry free experience with your ceremony decor choose Karan to be your vendor.

Stunning decor!

I have been a fan of Karan's work via instagram and when we met and discussed designs, I was not disappointed! I had a wonderful experience working with Karan for both my ceremonial-day and my reception-day decor. Karan was really involved and professional in helping what I envisioned come- to-life. Excellent!!

I cannot say enough about Karan and his team. He is easy to get along with and clearly executes ideas. His work is also beautiful. We had two ceremonies, one at the Hindu temple and one at a ballroom venue. We had originally only needed decor for the big wedding at the ballroom. But my parents decided the week before they wanted the full mandap and chairs and decor at the temple, too. He made it happen somehow, despite the odd timings at the temple. He is honestly the best. I would recommend him over and over.

Yaadein is great!

We used Yaadein for a Hindu Ceremony and an American-style Reception in the Jeffersonian Ballroom of the Westfields Marriott. When we first met with Karan, we were completely undecided on the design of the mandap or decorations for the reception. Fortunately, Karan helped walk us through our different options and styles that would match our budget. Anjul came to our walkthrough and she was familiar with our decisions we made with Karan, asked the right questions with the hotel coordinator, and had a clear vision. Yaadein's crew set up the mandap and ceremony design the night before our wedding, and everything looked incredible! During the cocktail hour, the ballroom was flipped to the reception set-up and Yaadein decorated in the allotted time. The floral centerpieces, table linens, and everything else were well-done. We highly recommend Yaadein!

Karan and his team at Yaadein are an amazing team to work with. The decor was very important for us and after just our first meeting we knew we wanted to work with Karan because he understood our vision. He was so easy to work with and worked with us to make our ideas into reality! He walked us through every part of the process and helped us narrow down several ideas we had into the best options for us! Choosing to work with Karan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and engagement party! Everyone was in awe of the beauty of the decorations and we have recommended Karan and his team to many of our family and friends! If decor is important, you need to book Karan and his team right now! Just take a look at some of the themes he created for our wedding festivities! Excellent workmanship and professionalism ! it was great working with Anchul who has been very patient from my initial meeting. I have selected a custom version of the decor, it was outstanding and wowed by each and every guest at the event! In fact we changed a major structure just before one week and she was very supportive of that! Karan who was on the event day for the setup took care of each and every small detail. Karan and his team are awesome! He is the only decorator in the DMV area that was responsive and was willing to work with my budget from the beginning. He was very straightforward with what I could get and gave me multiple options and styles to choose from. Because I was so happy with the decor choices, I even ended up adding a few more services onto my contract. On the day of the ceremony, his staff was very prepared, arrived early, and had everything set up how I wanted it to be - it was beautiful and I got lots of compliments! I'd highly recommend Yaadein!

Yaadein provided decorations and flowers for our Indian fusion wedding in September 2017 and we could not have been happier! Anjul was fantastic and super easy to work with. She really worked with us to help make our vision for our wedding come true. She was patient and helped us as we tried to find a mandap style that would work for our fusion style wedding and fit within our budget. The bouquets were gorgeous as well. Anjul really made the whole wedding décor planning experience fun and stress-free.

We knew everything would look great, but their décor on our wedding day far exceeded our expectations. Everything for both the wedding ceremony and reception was absolutely gorgeous! The colors were perfect. We received SO many compliments from our guests on the ambience and decorations. Everyone was also impressed at how very different yet beautiful the décor/ambience was between the ceremony and reception, which were held in the same ballroom.

Karan was a life saver for me. He did a great job with the wedding decor. I highly recommend him. Our planner walked out 3 weeks prior to wedding date and she took the decor vendor with her. Karan stepped in, understood the vision and delivered in a really short time. What's important is that we saw major gaps in the decor plan that was put together by the planner only when we met him. We booked ho m on spot and he did great!

Yaadein Weddings did a fantastic job in designing the exact wedding that we wanted. Karan sat with us and went through everything we wanted in detail. The end product was incredible. Karan was very pleasant to communicate with from the beginning. He listened to everything that we were looking for, for our 4 day wedding celebration. Karan and his team are absolutely phenomenal! They made our wedding weekend a dream. With three different events and three absolutely gorgeous decor themes I couldn't be more pleased. Yaadein Weddings did the decor for our Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception over Thanksgiving weekend and they were absolutely fantastic. We came to them at the last minute after some issues with our previous vendor, and they were absolutely professional, responsive, and easy to work with. I didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding in terms of the decor. They were able to accommodate my ever-changing number of guests and handled everything independently, in conjunction with our venue coordinator. Karan and Anjul provided suggestions and tips based on their experiences with other weddings, and were overall just a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

Karan did an amazing job with our wedding day decor at Fox Chase Manor. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of a decorator! Karan and his team are so easy to work with and each meeting we had was so productive. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the stage and centerpieces were, and how the candle decor on our wedding was absolutely magical! They did a fantastic job! They worked with us on a difficult bare bones venue, and even suggested rental companies to work with. We were running late the morning of our wedding due to some logistical details. Karan helped make a recommendation to keep us on time, and then HUSTLED to get the mandap and decorations set up in time! Anjul aunty also worked to keep us in our budget. We would definitely recommend to others in the area!

We were lucky enough to get a chance to work with Karan and his team for our wedding. Everything was absolutely PERFECT. Karan is one of the most professional people I've ever worked with. The decor was completely stunning and we got so many compliments from all our guests. He is very easy to work with and very flexible. He flew all the way to Ohio for a walk through a few months before the wedding and it made things so much easier. The selection of decor Yaadein has is outstanding. I was very impressed with everything, which made my decisions very hard when it came to choosing certain items. We had the pleasure of working with Yaadein Weddings recently for our mehendi and wedding decor in July 2014. We primarily worked with Karan who was simply great to work with – he is extremely friendly, yet very professional to work with.

During our first consultation, he spent a substantial amount of time, patiently going over our requirements and making suggestions. He had an ample amount of pictures that really helped us envision what our wedding décor would look like. We got a ballpark estimate of the cost right then and he worked with us on options to ensure that the cost aligned, as close as possible, with our budget. He was prompt and responsive to our follow-up.

The end result was amazing – our ballroom, and especially the stage looked fabulous and we got a lot of compliments from our guests. We thank Yaadein Weddings for giving us exactly what we wanted and would highly recommend them to all our friends!

I wish I could give Anjul more than 5 stars. They deserve every bit of appreciation I can give them. I hired her services for our Indian engagement event at a hotel and she covered everything from staging to table decor, photography and videography. She takes her time to listen to what customers want out of their events at her home office, a very kind and personable woman. Anjul provides the best deal in the area and she goes above and beyond in her services to clients. My wife and I literally have no complaint or negative feedback as her services and decorations were perfectly done and was way beyond our expectations. She was prompt and the setup was done well ahead of time. She personally was present to make sure everything was done smoothly. Even the videography and photography was amazing, our families were shocked to not only see the several hundreds of photos we received but also the remarkable quality of each one. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Anjul to anyone thinking of conducting an event.

Yaadein Weddings is amazing! I would rate them higher than a 5 if I could! I'm very surprised by any negative reviews for this vendor as it's unfortunate you didn't share in our "perfect" experience. We worked closely with Karan who assisted us from start to finish, and far exceeded our expectations. We had a dual ceremony (Hindu and Christian) and he assisted with all of the decor and floral arrangements for both ceremonies and reception. Our venue was new to Karan but he took the time to visit the site multiple times to ensure our wedding vision was executed flawlessly. The ceremony was held outdoors on a platform above a waterfall (yes, we know - GORGEOUS!) and he selected the perfect mandap, floral arrangements and decor for the Hindu ceremony. Between ceremonies, he/his team switched the decor to represent what we wanted for the Christian ceremony. It was beautiful! The reception ballroom was elegance and beauty beyond words. The centerpieces, floral arrangements, and overall decor was gorgeous!

Working with Karan was truly a pleasure. He was flexible, responsive, patient, and very creative. He takes the time to understand the bride/groom's vision for their wedding and then bring it to life. I can't say enough about Karan. He and his team did an amazing job for our wedding! Many thanks to you, Karan!

I fell in love yaadeins work when I was searching for wedding decorators online. I have never seen anything like their work throughout all the weddings I have attended all over America. They provide class and luxury all in a low price. Anjul is very professional and keeps her word. The best part about my experience is that she is not greedy for money like most vendors, she does the work all from her heart. She dealt with the changes I continuously made until the day of the wedding without complaining once. Yaadein provided a beautiful stage, lighting,centerpieces, aisle, flower malas, a doli. The venue looked spectacular and was worth every penny.All the guests were in complete shock as we are middle class people but our decor looked like a million bucks. If you want the dream wedding I highly recommend yaadein wedding.

For my wedding, Yaadein weddings did our reception stage, mandap (indian wedding altar), chair rentals, centerpieces, flowers, and additional decorations. I would like to start off by saying that Yaadein Weddings does everything they can to listen and help you have the wedding of your dreams. I went to 5 different decorators before I decided on Anjul and her team and I was glad I did! Yaadein was the best decorator by far out of all 5. Yaadein Weddings was organized and had many options available to us. We met with them multiple times to discuss our decor and our options, we often spent hours with the decorator and she was more than accommodating. She helped us plan an amazing wedding in our budget. In every aspect she was there ready to help us, when our dhol player was unable to make it last minute, she helped us find the perfect dhol player 3 days before our wedding. Yaadein Wedding goes above and beyond to ensure that your wedding is perfect.

All of our guests were blown away by how beautiful our mandap, decorations, and stage were. The Yaadein team did so many extra things for us and surprised us by going above and beyond what we asked for. They were on-time and they always returned all my phone calls within hours (most of the times I directly reach them). The Yaadein team did everything in our contract and more, they were never pushy nor did they try to charge us extra. If anything, they bent over backwards for us. I would recommend Yaadein to all my friends and families. You cannot beat their prices, service, and decor. Their team works together to ensure you have the wedding you want. I have heard only positive feedback about them from all my other vendors and I am so glad I chose to go with them. They were the best out of all the vendors I selected, I really think that my wedding was so beautiful due to Anjul and the Yaadein teams hard work!!! THANK YOU YAADEIN WEDDINGS!!!!!

Karan and Anjul went above and beyond for my wedding this past weekend at Castle Hill Cider in Keswick, VA. After working with Karan for almost a year on the decor and the execution on the day of was beyond my wildest dreams. The sangeet decor the night before was absolutely perfect, especially given my smaller budget for that event. The outdoor mandap, aisle, entrance gate for my wedding was out of a fairytale. Karan's ability to decorate such an incredible outdoor space and make it even more beautiful, brought tears to my parents eyes. He truly made my wedding weekend so beautiful. You truly get what you are paying for and it was worth every penny.

Yaadein Wedding provided excellent service and product for both my events at Marriott. Working with Anjul was easy and friendly. All my guests were very pleased. Anjul knows facility, people, process significance of in-time completion.

Tip for would be couple : 1. Plan in advance. 2. Check few wedding decors to get some idea. 3. Go over final layout colors etc at least 1 week in advance. 4. Lights are important ...pay attention to the lights. 5. Take advise from decor .. you make final decision ..but at least ask them for suggestions first. They do it every week.

We worked with Karan for our decor, lighting, photo and video. The results were awesome!

Karan is so friendly and very easy to work with. He is so easy to communicate with and very flexible. His mandap decor prices were awesome too relative to what we saw from New Jersey, and he has a vast selection of mandap styles and furniture styles. Our first meeting with Karan (before we selected him) was so productive. He went through so many designs and previous set ups and helped us cement our vision. Once we told him our preferences he tailored some specific setups for us to look through and even provided an on the spot estimate of cost, which we really appreciated. Once we selected him, we had a deeper dive meeting where we went through every aspect of decor and lighting in detail for each of our 2 events (ceremony and reception). Karan does such a great job showing options and highlighting what he thinks will look good and offering suggestions at every turn without being overbearing. Karan has great taste and is such a pleasure to work with, and the end result for our ceremony and reception both were simply stunning. Our guests had nothing but compliments at both events. We couldn't be happier!

We also selected Karan for Photo/Video. His photographers were very courteous and very thorough, capturing pictures at every moment both candid and organized. The videographers were always present but it did not feel the least bit intrusive.

We're so glad we went with Karan for our decor/photo/video and can't wait to see the results of the photo and video! We recommend Karan to anyone who has extensive decor needs and wants someone who is super easy to work with and has lots of options!

My fiance and I shopped around a lot for a decorator for our wedding, but once we met with Yaadein Weddings we were almost immediately sold. They are extremely familiar with decorating for Indian weddings, have a large variety of mandaps (stage for Indian weddings) and decor selections such as curtains, chairs, etc. We worked with Karan, who was extremely friendly and easy to work with - he listened to what we were interested in, added his ideas and touch, and ended up producing decor that was breathtaking. We got rave reviews from guests about the different looks that Yaadein Weddings provided for different events, and we were really happy with the result and Karan's assistance and responsiveness all the way through.

Beautiful Stage Decor

My husband and I used Yaadein for our sangeet, wedding, and reception decorations. They did a phenomenal job with providing exactly what we wanted. We went the more simple route for sangeet, but the decorations came out to be so beautiful and colorful! The wedding was outside and the mandap was made to perfection. Only advice I would give people is to be patient when it comes to designs, ask questions, and write everything down so you know exactly what you want to get. Highly recommend Yaadein!

Most Personable, Knowledgable, and Cost Effective Decorator in DMV!

I don't have enough words for Karan and his team. I wish I could have personally seen him to thank him for the wonderful decor he did for my wedding weekend. Karan is truly very knowledgable about decor and very honest to his clients. He knew my budget and did what he could to make my vision become a reality. I was truly blown away with the decor and details him and his team put together. Karan is one of the only decor vendors in the DMV area that will truly work with your budget and help you get your dream look. One thing, I learned through this process was to trust him as he knows what he's doing and he truly will have your best interest at heart. Two days before my wedding, I had called Karan to see if I should change my mandap style as I become unsure what would look great. Karan reassured me that it will look fine and that he will make it fit the romantic/elegant theme I was looking for. When I walked into my wedding and sat on my mandap I was beyond amazed. I couldn't get over how beautiful he set it up with the lighting and it truly fit the romantic/elegant theme. I keep looking at pictures of the weekend as I'm just so amazed at their work. Karan and his team also went out of their way to set up things for me that I brought from home as I truly wanted them displayed at the wedding. Karan even used some of his fabrics for my photobooth to make sure the colors fit my decor. I can't thank Karan and his team enough for all their hard work during the weekend. Thank you for making my vision become a reality!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Karan from Yaadein. Ours was a unique situation in that we had a double wedding (two brothers getting married on the same day), for a total of four events: sangeet, two wedding ceremonies, one reception. Karan expressed much professionalism and patience with our group as he had to take into consideration the opinions and likes/dislikes of two brides and two grooms. He was always willing to meet in person or via conference call over the course of five months to hammer out details and keep us on track. He was available the day of the wedding to take any last minute questions/requests from us.

As a non-Indian participating in an Indian wedding, learning about all the typical South Asian décor for weddings was a new experience for me. Karan explained everything to me and worked with me to select décor that created a fusion of Indian and American styles to meet my taste. The décor and flowers for all events turned out beautifully, as did the up-lighting we used for the sangeet. We did not use photography or videography services from Yaadein.

We compared a few Indian decorators but felt that Yaadein offered the best quality within our budget and Karan really sold us with his friendly and flexible, yet always professional, personality.

Really fantastic! We had a difficult venue and Anjul did a great job of thinking up solutions that didn't add much to our budget. I would definitely recommend them!

We just had an amazing wedding decorated by Yaadein that nobody can stop talking about! They provided the stage, centerpieces, lighting, video and photography. The stage was spectacular! The centerpieces were stunning, the most beautiful flowers, huge and as
fresh as can be. The lighting transformed the ballroom and was beautifully set up. This is the fourth indian decorator that our family has used, some were ok and some were downright disasters, Yaadein was the absolute best and we will never hesitate to use them again. The best part was their service and professionalism, we worked with Karan and he was so helpful, so professional, he genuinely wanted to help us, he gave us the best advice and ideas and was always there to answer every question, all I had to do was text him and he wrote right back! All in all, every penny we spent was worth it, I would recommend them to anyone!!

Good value but we had some issues

It’s difficult to provide a low rating to any of the vendors we worked with for our wedding. We are truly grateful for all the services provided on our big day because those are the things that made it special. We found Yadeein through an Indian wedding showcase and they provided decorations for our Hindu and civil ceremony as well as the reception.
Things that we liked:
+ Mandap overall look with the artificial flowers, arch decoration with chandelier
+ Flowers that were provided on the table settings
+ Planning support that we received from Karan prior to the wedding (he can really advise what goes together and will look good). He even provided some planning support when our coordinator cancelled one meeting.
There were some things that weren’t as planned:
- when we discussed the madap, we talked about decorations, flowers, the shape of the stage etc. To our surprise ON THE WEDDING DAY there was no stage provided.The stage confusion still vexes us to this day. We had our ceremony outside, it was hot and we had to walk on hot red brick barefoot. From talking to the owner it seemed he would provide a stage (at no point did he mention that he does not provide a stage). After discussing this issue after the wedding, the owner stated the stage should be provided by the venue. Our venue doesn’t usually provide stages either. This wasn’t good and both decorator and the venue through the blame at each other.
- Wrong vases were provided at the tables. We caught that during one of the meetings and corrected it but at the wedding still the wrong ones were provided. On the top of that, some of them were missing crystal chains that we picked.
- The bridal bouquet was expensive ($200) especially for what it was. It was small with too long stems. The color of some of the roses were wrong. Instead of white roses, ivory roses were provided that didn’t go well with dusty roses in the bouquet. Moreover, the bouquet was not fresh and from the beginning of the wedding some of the petals were brown. We do not recommend getting flowers from this company.
- When we tried to discuss the issues after the wedding (we provided good feedback along with questions about the stage and complaint about the bouquet), Yadeein provided a very disappointing and unprofessional replies. At the end of the day, they refunded the money for the bridal bouquet after some not so pleasant back and forth.
Our suggestions are to remember they do not provide stage for mandaps and if they offer you something in specific, get it written in contract and save photos of what you agree on.

Personable, but get a written contract before taking next steps

Planning a wedding is an emotional, involved effort. It can cause a lot of stress in the moment, but the last thing you want to deal with after is emotional and financial distress, much less from vendors who are also navigating a post-pandemic reality. We hired Yaadein to decorate our daughter's wedding reception in December 2021. Yaadein was previously a well-respected decorator in the South Asian Community. While I appreciated Yaadein's hands-on, personalized approach, professionalism and reliability went out the door. Our family worked directly with Karan; he would frequently state "we are family," and dismissed our repeated requests for a written contract. After our walk-through, he refused to engage with our wedding coordinator, which required individual family members to coordinate with him directly (not an ideal situation when hiring a coordinator). On top of that, while we value communication and responsiveness, we would wake up to decor texts and payment requests at 3 and 4 am, and surprise in-person conversations. During these in-person meetings, he reeked of alcohol and would dismiss our questions.

Let's focus on the actual decor experience: Karan persuaded us to do decoration in our home prior to our event. The decor he provided was nothing like what he showed us, which required his staff to re-do draping twice. Even for the pre-reception event at our home, he sent broken furniture to our home twice. We ended up using our own furniture and not the decor because we could not put guests at risk. In the thick of it, we did not recognize that this was a preview to what was to come. Our reception decoration was NOTHING like what we agreed upon beforehand. Our centerpieces were grocery store roses in pink and white, and not even blown out to look fuller. They were not the succulent centerpieces we agreed upon. We were surprised with gold glitter table linens, and pink lighting at the last minute (not the amber we agreed upon), and the backdrop was with fairy lights. Even more disturbing was the condition of the stage furniture: The couch we received was dirty, with lint coming off the decorative pillow covers in plain pink.

Separate vendors have reached out offering support to get our money back, or at least revoke accreditation. We understand Yaadein is a business, but our trust was misplaced and we did not get anything we paid for. Please do your research and due diligence before taking next steps.

You get what you pay for...

We initially chose Yaadein for their value. Decorators in the DC area tend to be quite pricey and Yaadein was one of the only decorators who was willing to work with our budget.

Plusses:
1. Yaadein does have a vast array of decor, including a rickshaw (other vendors apparently rent from him)
2. Karan was willing to work with any budget
3. One of the lowest budget decorators in the DC area
4. Beautiful mandap decor

Minuses:
1. Raising the price of chiavari chairs not once, not twice, but three times.
2. Stressing us out last minute (two days before our Sangeet) saying that he would not be able to get the chiavari chairs for our Sangeet event, even though we had explicitly talked about.
3. Asking money from my mother for above chairs (a few hundred dollars, this could have waited) at the event, instead of going through our wedding planner who was at the event.
4. Overall unpleasant and dismissive to work with, particularly towards our parents.

So overall, I think for being a budget decorator, they are pretty good, and can work with any budget. But they caused unnecessary stress not just for us, but for our families at the last minute. I would not recommend them for this reason. If you are planning on spending >13-15K, it might be worth the extra price to go with someone who won't cause last-minute stressful drama.

Bailed on our event 2 days before event

Our experience with yaadien was a nightmare for anyone who is about to get married. After finalizing with Karen what decor we wanted and sending him a deposit over Venmo. He bailed the next day because he was able to get more money from another client on the same wedding date as ours. Very unprofessional and unethical for any business!

-Friday night event went very well. Saturday was horrible.
-The whole planning process with Karan was extremely stressful and unprofessional. The only reason why I stayed with Yaadein, is because Karan conned us into giving a $1000 deposit 8 months in advance. Every time I scheduled a meeting, I would confirm a couple days in advance, and he ALWAYS rescheduled last minute. I drove all the way from Philadelphia to Northern Virginia for at least 4-5 meetings, which ended up being completely pointless; 2 weeks before the wedding he said I had to meet with the actual florist to decide on details, who was actually in the office the whole time during all the prior meetings!! Then,Karan went out of the country and did not communicate ANY of the details we discussed with the florist. 2 weeks before my wedding, she said everything would be an extra $2,000, and she had no idea what Karan had promised us.
-Karan treated us very disrespectfully. He kept blaming us for changing the contract, but he actually kept promising us things, and later increasing the bill. So naturally, we had to rework the contract to fit our budget. This should be the florist/decorator's job!!
-The day of, there were key forgotten details: the mandap (altar) was not covered, which was a specific religious request that we spoke about 10+ times. The florist had NO idea what we were talking about when we asked where the cover was day-of. Karan's response was, "why didn't you ask her to cover it?" -- Why should the bride be doing the decorator's job on the wedding day?!
-There are soooo many other details they completely forgot or executed very poorly, but I have limited space here. Poor communication between he and his florist. Clearly he did not write ANYTHING down during our FIVE meetings together, and continued to blame us. Karan was SO arrogant, and did not even admit he messed up so many details.

-HORRIBLE FLORALS.

-Go with L'Ambiance or Shagun. MUCH better quality and professionalism.
