We had the absolute pleasure of having Derek Dube as our wedding officiant for our ceremony at The Commodore on Nagawicka Lake. From our first meeting, Derek's warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for his role shone through.
Derek took the time to get to know us as a couple, ensuring that the ceremony was personalized and meaningful. He skillfully balanced humor and sentiment, creating a ceremony that was heartfelt and memorable for us and our guests. His ability to articulate our love story and incorporate our personalities into the vows made the moment incredibly special.
On the day of the wedding, Derek was calm and composed, guiding us through each step with ease. His presence was reassuring, allowing us to focus on the joy of the moment. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful and touching the ceremony was, thanks in large part to Derek's eloquence and delivery.

Derek did a wonderful job with our ceremony and the prep/planning leading up to it was thorough and informative. He gave us many ideas and examples to model after and was super flexible with customization of our ceremony.World of Wisdom Ministry's reply:

Wonderful!
My husband and I couldn’t have been more happy to have had Derek officiate our wedding. From when we first met with him to the day of the ceremony (and all the emails in between) he was organized, patient and kind. The ceremony he helped us put together was beautiful and personalized just for us. The day of the wedding, he unexpectedly came to my bridal room and thanked us for letting him be a part of our big day. He continued to wish us many years of happiness. You could tell that this wasn’t just a job for him, he genuinely enjoys what he does. We are very thankful to have asked him to be our officiant. Really added to how special the day was for us. He was great and reading the room and keeping a good flow. Such a fantastic guy to have around we asked him to stick around for our taco dinner!World of Wisdom Ministry's reply:

So helpful!
Derek was so kind and helpful with organizing our ceremony. He gave us many options to choose from in preparation of creating our ceremony and let us pick & choose what suited us best. I also very much appreciated his help at the rehearsal! We were a little scattered and he was great at rounding everyone up and being clear with instructions.World of Wisdom Ministry's reply:

Amazing outdoor ceremony!
Derek was so easy to work with. He provided us with numerous reading options, optional ceremonies, and vows to select from. We were able to tailor our ceremony to fit our personalities. Highly Recommend
At first, we were going to ask a family member to officiant our wedding to save some money, but then we realized that we needed someone who has done weddings before and has experience leading especially for the rehearsal and the day of. I contacted our venue to find out if they had any recommendations and Derek was one of the officiants they recommended. We are so glad we had Derek officiant our wedding. Unlike some of my other vendors, Derek was always so responsive which I loved! He also took time to get to know us personally and because of that, it felt like we had a family member officiant our wedding. When our rehearsal got rained out, he was able to meet us at our rehearsal dinner and practice in the small dinner hall we had reserved. I would recommend Derek as an officiant to anyone!World of Wisdom Ministry's reply:

Natasha Sent on 09/05/2013Reverend Derek Dube of World of Wisdom Ministry is one of the kindest, most compassionate and hardworking person we have ever met. He wasn't "an officiant" he was the kind, intelligent, genuine and caring person who brought the ceremony to life. His enthusiasm and genuine care for people flows through him. He made us feel at ease the whole time and added all of our thoughts, beliefs and contributions to our ceremony. He asked us many questions and did a custom ceremony based on who we were as people and as a couple. It is hard to put into words how amazing this person is. I was getting a little nervous right before the ceremony and he surprised me by coming to talk to me right before. His words touched my heart and really got me ready for the biggest and best step I have taken so far in my life. He is attentive, understanding and fun too! He even brought several different suits to wear in case we had a preference. My husband and I invited him to the reception as a guest and sat him with our grandparents. He said he had a ball and so did they. My mom and her partner, Eugene, loved talking to him as well. He made some rounds and left us a beautiful note in our photo booth scrapbook.AND WE LOVED HIS PICTURES. We are so glad that we found him. He was the perfect person to marry us! I don't know where to begin. :) First of all, you two definitely are a LOT of fun! Your sense of humor and your playful spirit will take you both very far in this relationship. The way you accept each other coming from two very different faiths, is an awesome tribute to the love you have for each other. Planning and combining rituals from both of your backgrounds was most enjoyable and a wonderful education for me. Your ceremony at the Domes was beautiful, light-hearted, spiritual, cultural and just a whole lot of fun! I am so happy to have served you in this way on your 'big day'.
