Wood belly was so responsive when we emailed with them throughout the wedding planning process, they were very flexible with the menu and planning what to serve. The food was incredible and all our guests raved about it. They were so professional, kind and attentive at the wedding. They told me if there were any pizzas I’d like throughout the night to let them know, I told them I’d love a white pie and 5 minutes later she ways bringing it to my table. Such an unforgettable experience to have the whole wood oven at the event, everyone thought it was very cool. -

What a delicious way to celebrate a wedding! Everyone loved the appetizers during cocktail hour and the pizza during dinner. There’s something extra fun about a pizza party. Woodbelly did a great job keeping the pizzas coming throughout dinner and also helped us manage a few people with allergies. The food was also so tasty! We would certainly recommend using them. -

Best wedding caterer ever!
We hired the Woodbelly team to cater our wedding at the iconic Sleepy Hollow Farm in Woodstock, VT. As soon as my fiance and I walked into the Woodbelly shop for our tasting in Montpelier, we almost immediately knew we would want to work with them this summer. BLM artwork litters the walls, there's a sign that says "trans people eat free" under the register and Hailey greets you with the warmest smile from behind the counter!
Then...we tried the food. Nothing could have prepared us for how absolutely delicious everything was! And its not just their pizza thats mind-blowing, so are their vegetarian and chicken dishes. Hailey's service was wonderful, she (and her sweet daugther!) even did a site visit before the wedding to give us advice on where her team should set up, and what makes the most sense for rental planning. She was extremely accommodating to our vegan diet, as well and provided gluten-free alternatives for our guests. My parents mentioned "faine" aka "farinata," because we eat that with our pizza in our home-country of Argentina, and Hailey offered to learn the recipe and make it for us at the wedding. Thats how thoughtful she is!
We ordered:
- grazing table full of local cheese and meats
- maple seared scallops
- fish cakes
-farinata
-green salad with seasonal veg
-maple braised chicken thighs and drumsticks
-quinoa & bean stuffed squash
-pizza buffet with vegan cheese and GF crust options
-peach & blueberry cobbler
At the wedding, no one could stop talking about how incredible the food was, and how absolutely lovely Hailey and her staff are. We could not have had a better experience. Thank you and your team for making this happen!

Awesome food, drinks, service
We hired Woodbelly for our wedding in northern Vermont, and cannot recommend them highly enough. All of our guests raved about the food, especially the appetizers, desserts, and late night snacks (falafel and grilled cheese!). Pizza, salad, and caprese salads for dinner were so fresh and delicious. Everything was great.
Bar service was also fantastic. The mixed up some specialty cocktails and provided a variety of beers, ciders, and even wine on tap. It was very important to us that bar lines be kept to a minimum, and Woodbelly took great care of us on this front.
David and his team are a true pleasure to work with. They were very responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process. David spoke with us multiple times and provided great guidance and recommendations as we made adjustments to our quote based on our party size, budget, and preferences.
Overall we were blown away by how great everything turned out. Big thank you to the Woodbelly team! Hire them --- you won't regret it! -

So, my husband and I live in NYC and I'm a food editor. Safe to say I'm a little snobby about pizza. Woodbelly was amazing — so great to work with and, more importantly, delicious. (Peaches! On pizza! Who knew.) Perfect food, great people and also loved that they made us s'mores for dessert. -

We were so happy with Woodbelly and all the options for food and drinks they offer. The cocktail hour appetizers were delicious, beautifully presented, and all local product. The bar staff were fun, friendly, professional, and kept the drinks flowing all night. And the pizza — absolutely perfect!! The multiple varieties including vegan and gluten free were all tasty, and our guests can't stop talking about our wedding food! I would also recommend not forgetting to order late-night snacks, we had left over pizza and fresh mac n cheese. The only small challenge we had was with communication during the planning process. While the team always replied and made sure our questions were answered, responses were sometimes delayed, and it would have been great for communication to be a bit quicker and more streamlined. That said, everything came together perfectly on the big day, which is the most important part. We’re so grateful for their hard work in making our celebration so memorable! -

Woodbelly catered our 120 person wedding at Common Ground Center in Starksboro, VT in June 2019. We had pizza during cocktail and hors d'oeuvres, and continued with new pizza toppings throughout dinner. Our main entrée was mini pulled pork sandwiches, which were delicious but we hadn't been expecting them to be served cold. My husband and I are quite laid back, and some of the things that surprised us may just be our fault for not asking enough questions beforehand. The salads served family style were amazing, with the maple-cider salad dressing. The dinner buffet presentation left something to be desired, with bowls that seemed very small for 120 guests. We didn't mind the aesthetics of it, as much as our buffet table looked like it wouldn't have enough food for everyone as people passed through the line! However, everyone ended up fed and happy, with some of the best pizza we've had. The team that came out that evening did an amazing job and were very personable. We were left with many leftover pizzas, which made our guests very content with late night snacks! -

We hired Woodbelly after reading all the wonderful reviews. The ownership changed hands right after we signed our contract and then everything went downhill. They went back on their agreement several times. Things that were included when we signed were not included a year later. Silverware was to be included, that was taken away. Dishes for dessert was included, they took that away. They also sent us an email stating that even though contracts are technically binding, times are tight and they hope we would consider lessening our menu to help carry the burden of inflation. While we understand times are hard, this is why we had a contract in the first place. The food was great, but I would NOT recommend them to anyone. The amount of stress we experienced working with Scott was absolutely horrific.
