I cannot put into words how extremely grateful my husband and I for everything Winvian had done to make our wedding dream a dream come true. The Winvian in lovely Litchfield County Connecticut is perhaps the perfect place for a wedding. Ideally located just close enough (and just far enough away) from Manhattan and Boston - the Winvian exceeded our expectations - for two weddings! Most recently on June 1, 2019.
From Day 1 planning to post-event - the staff at the Winvian were exceptional. Special kudos to planner Elizabeth Goslee and General Manager Paolo Middei.
Key elements that drove a truly 5-star experience range from the quality of the facility to smooth logistics and arrangements to truly excellent food to the extra care and attention to the wedding party and guests.

Aside from the fact that this is the most beautiful and unique place I have ever seen in my life, my wedding there was beyond perfect. From the moment I booked with Winvian they couldn't do enough for my husband and I. They let us visit and tour the cottages with family and friends whenever we wished to, they allowed us to hold our engagement shoot there and pop in whenever needed days leading up to the wedding. Our event coordinator Claire Gordon was literally an angel sent from heaven. She organized vendor meetings along with hair and makeup trails for me at Winvian and was there to answer any questions and fulfill every request I had along the way. Claire reached out to all of my booked vendors and made sure that my wedding day would go off with out a single hitch. And boy did it! I can honestly say that my wedding day was the best day of my life. My makeup artist kept telling me that I was the happiest bride she had ever seen! And I was all due to the fact that I knew that Claire and the rest of the Winvian team had my entire day under control! Claire kept my whole day perfectly on the timeline she created and despite all of the festivities I had planned for the evening, everything ran smoothly and wonderfully! Winvian is incredibly beautiful and the decor, food and accommodations were beyond perfection. My guests raved about how amazing the food was and how gorgeous the entire resort was. Winvian and Claire literally couldn't do enough for not only my husband and I but any requests my guests had as well. I am forever grateful to Claire Gordon and the entire Winvian resort for making my wedding weekend the best time of my life. If you want the epitome of pure class, elegance and exclusivity for your wedding, book Winvian. It is worth every penny and the memories that you will have from holding your wedding at Winvian will be completely and entirely priceless. -

We did not have a single thing to stress about the day of our wedding as everything was taken care of! So thankful we stumbled upon such a special place - I can't wait to go back for our first anniversary! -

Winvian made all of our dreams come true, and will always have a special place in our hearts.
The team there (Paolo, Elizabeth, Stephano) were incredibly attentive to detail, making planning easier and making the day of run smoothly. Elizabeth is an incredible events manager, and on the day of she even did my 13-point bussle (in under 5 minutes, which is remarkable on its own). Stephano found my husband and me after our ceremony with appetizers because he knew we'd be hungry. Paolo monitored our afterparty (without judgment :) ).
The food was outstanding, and the wine was fantastic. We even had a great time at our tasting, and it felt special to see the full range of what the kitchen was capable of.
The biggest expense for us was renting out the entire property--which we elected to do because we wanted to have everyone in the same place. The rooms are very pricey! At the end of the day, it was worth it, but if you choose to do that know that rooms are $900 per night, excluding taxes and service fees.
