I used this venue for my ceremony and reception. It is a beautiful historic building in Winter Park across the street from Rollins College. We did our first look at Rollins College. It was reasonably priced and allowed us to use whichever vendor we wanted to use. We used our own caterer and had full control over alcohol, dj, and other vendors. They did not have any weird rules or stipulations like other venues. Could not have asked for a better place to get married.I used this venue for my ceremony and reception. I love historic buildings. When I was planning my fall 2015 wedding I was on the hunt for a beautiful yet affordable venue for our ceremony in Winter Park. I found all of those qualities here at the Woman's Club. The staff was also very friendly throughout the entire process.
According to the club's website, "founded in 1915, the Woman’s Club of Winter Park is one of the oldest not-for-profit community organizations in Winter Park, Florida." In addition to the meetings held here, the building is available for rent for events including weddings. The have spaces available for all parts of your wedding. You can have one part of the event or all at the club. They have ceremony space, reception space, and cocktail hour space if you are willing to host part of the event outdoors.
We used the club just for our ceremony and it was so perfect. We had about 80 guests seated which took up about 2/3 of the room. I think they can do up to around 150 seated. There are beautiful mantels on either end of the main room which we used for our event. It was so beautiful and intimate. We loved the historic touches which had also been recently renovated before our event. At the end of our wedding, our guests were directed to the lawn. We then exited down the sidewalk aisle into our getaway car. A wonderful photo opp!
Easy to work with, they have a very fair price. Ceremony alone here cost us less than $1,000! Try finding that anywhere else in the heart of Winter Park. Or anywhere. I am so happy to have found this location. Thank you to the club, and to our planner Kyle, for making our ceremony here so wonderful!I love historic buildings. My ceremony was held at the Woman's Club of Winter Park and it was perfect! Sally was very helpful leading up to the wedding and the venue has fantastic day-of flexibility for setting up and early entry. I was extremely satisfied with our choice for the ceremony location. The wood floors, large windows, and fireplace and mantle were the perfect setting for our casual and intimate ceremony. I wouldn't change a thing about it!My ceremony was held at the Woman's Club of Winter Park and it was perfect! This antique building was the perfect location for my medium size wedding (approx 100) The rental is very affordable, with tables and chairs provided. Also they give you freedom of vendor selection, which allow us to bring the price down as we also got to buy our own liquor.
One more thing, since the place is so cute inside, you can save on decor! This antique building was the perfect location for my medium size wedding (approx 100) The rental is very affordable, with tables and chairs provided. I used the Woman's Club of Winter Park for my reception venue and was very happy. The building is a beautiful historic building with floor to ceiling windows lining the entire back wall, beautiful hard wood floors, and fireplaces on both sides of the room. The best part is that you get the entire building to yourself for the day of your event. I just told the lady where I wanted the tables and they set everything up for me the day before and let me come in and decorate so I didn't have to worry about doing it the day of my wedding.I used the Woman's Club of Winter Park for my reception venue and was very happy. We had our ceremony at the Rollin's college chapel. It was great to be able to walk right across the street for our reception. This venue is great if you don't have too large of a reception. It can get crowded. We loved the stage as a place to put our band and the wood floors. We had our ceremony at the Rollin's college chapel. This is such a beautiful venue, so it really is a shame that I have to give it such a poor review. Initially, the service was quite good. We were planning everything long distance and Kyle was excellent in helping us to arrange things. However, then Kyle left and the woman who took over, Aycha, was extremely disorganized and made things quite stressful in the days leading up to the event. Communication was poor and a month before the wedding I had to send multiple emails before getting any kind of response. Weeks before I reached out multiple times asking if there was anything else needed on my end. Then, three days before the event, I received requests for multiple forms and paperwork from my vendors, some of which had already been submitted. It was a little bit absurd and extremely stressful. The day before the wedding she also emailed me asking for the contact information for my caterer "Four Rivers". Four Rivers was not my caterer and I had sent her that information multiple times. She clearly never read the many emails I sent and had no idea what was actually going on with my event. On the day of the event, we arrived at the venue and the furniture was improperly set up- entire tables were missing. Mind you, I sent a VERY detailed floor plan layout. Furthermore, the venue staff person who was supposed to be there had to leave due to an emergency (which I don't blame him for). However, this left us to fend for ourselves in an attempt to fix the room set up. In this attempt, my aunt and cousin moved a piece of the woman's club furniture about 6 inches. According to the contract you're not allowed to do this, but they didn't know this and were simply trying to help. When the staff member returned he was incredibly rude and threatening about this honest mistake. Additionally, there was a door missing from one of the only three restroom stalls (a curtain had been hung in in its place) and we had issues with the ice machine. Sadly, I would not recommend. This is such a beautiful venue, so it really is a shame that I have to give it such a poor review. Initially, the service was quite good.
