Highly Recommended Wedding Planner
Working with Karen was such a pleasant experience, from the very first meeting until the final celebration. She was incredibly proactive, consistently reminding us of important deadlines and keeping everything on track without ever making us feel overwhelmed. Throughout it all, she was easy to reach and always responsive, which gave us so much peace of mind.
On the day of the wedding, she was exactly the calm, steady presence my wedding party and I needed. No matter what came up—and of course, there are always a few unexpected moments—she handled everything with grace and composure. Her ability to manage challenges with such serenity allowed us to fully enjoy our day without stress or distraction.

The best experience
Karen made all of the difference in the planning and prep and on the actual day. She was calm, organized, thoughtful, and flexible. She kept us on track with detailed emails and to do lists throughout planning. We never had to wonder what we should be doing. We even threw in some last minute ideas that she was able to seamlessly add to the schedule and coordinate across trades. Karen is an expert in her field. We are beyond grateful we got to work with her. -

Best Wedding Planner!!
Karen is the absolute best!! Drew and I could have not asked for a better wedding planner! We had Karen's service as a "month of" planner, but the work she performed surpassed my expectations. She met with us a few times before the month of, and when the wedding month came, I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Karen was always quick to respond to our questions and after each meeting gave Drew and I a set of items that we should think of and work on before our next meetings. She was super efficient and always prepared. The day of our wedding was incredibly smooth as Karen took care of everything! She is TRULY the best! -

The Wedding Planner of my Dreams
I was very hesitant to have a full blown wedding. It seemed expensive and exhausting on top of a full time job. How would I find the time? I didn’t even know where to start! I learned about Winey Blonde Events after solidifying my venue. That was truly all we had done and that was by sheer luck. After my first call with Karen, I just knew. We got along swimmingly and she really loved this whole wedding business. She made ME love it. I was just was excited for her emails and our meetings as I was for my first date with my now husband! Karen (and Avery!) genuinely cared and made the whole ordeal zero stress. By our wedding day, we could sit back and enjoy the ride with full confidence that everything would be absolutely amazing. We are blessed to have met this team and forever grateful for all of their time and efforts. I recommend them to all of my newly engaged pals! If you’re on the fence this is the one. -

Perfectly executed every aspect of our dream wedding
We had the BEST experience working with Winey Blonde in the month leading up to our wedding. Bethany and her team worked well with all our vendors and gave us excellent advice. When we had specific ideas, Bethany nailed the execution, and when we were less knowledgeable about certain aspects of the planning, she guided us with the experience of an industry pro. Admittedly, I was initially skeptical about working with a coordinator-- is it in our budget? Can't we do all this ourselves? But looking back, working with Winey Blonde was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Incredible experience. Thank you, Bethany and WB!

Simply Amazing!
Winey Blonde Events helped create the wedding of our dreams! Every step of the way they were there to answer any of our questions and solve any problems we encountered. Our wedding planner Avery, was FANTASTIC! She went above and beyond for us. The day of the wedding I felt completely at ease because she took care of everything. She even helped me put my veil back on before I went down the aisle! We will always remember Avery because she helped make the most special day of our lives perfect! Karen/Winey Blonde Events is a must have for your wedding day!!
My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago in New Braunfels, TX. I asked around for advice before I started planning and everyone said the same thing, “Get a planner or at the very least a day of coordinator!” I can honestly say that I enjoyed our wedding planning process thanks in large part to our planner Karen, with Winey Blonde Events. Her guidance and expertise through the planning process was so valuable. She took so much pressure off of us and she kept us right on track from beginning to end. I never really felt overwhelmed or stressed and was able to focus on all the fun aspects of planning. Karen was in complete control the day of and I had every confidence in her. She maintained a very positive relationship with all of our vendors as well. Every time we talked with a vendor, Karen called out details that I never would have thought of and she asked questions I never would have considered. She was incredibly respectful to the vendors when working with them to execute a flawless wedding for us. In addition to getting the ceremony and reception situated, she made sure the whole day ran smoothly. I never once looked at a clock because I was too busy enjoying the moment. She radiates very calm positive energy, and you just know everything is going to be ok she has it handled. I didn’t have to worry once! Karen definitely helped make our day so special, and we are so appreciative to her for that!!

Best money ever spent
There are not enough words to describe how incredible Winey Blonde Events, specifically Britt Moss, were in the wedding planning process. I don’t think my wedding would have been even 10% as amazing as it was without their help and expertise. They clearly know what they’re doing. Britt made both the planning process and the day of the wedding go SO smoothly. I literally didn’t have to worry about a thing other than being the bride and enjoying the night. You know how many couples complain that they never got to have any of the food they picked out? That wasn’t the case for us. After we said our vows, Britt had a glass of champagne ready for us and our sweetheart table filled with all of our food choices and our favorite drinks. She even had our comfy shoes ready for us to change into. The number of things I could rave about this girl are ENDLESS. I realize a wedding planner isn’t always in the budget for everyone, but if there’s any way to move things around so that you do, you will not regret it. Easily the best money I spent for our wedding and I’d do it again over and over. -

Efficient, flexible, organized and AMAZING
Hiring Winey Blondes to plan our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. As you get to the end of the planning and the wedding gets closer, serious fatigue sets in. However, Karen, who was our planner, was the best at helping with this. She helped me make informed decisions and gave advice based on her years of experience. The things I thought were “big deals” she solved in no time. She was flexible, easy going, and EXTREMELY organized. She gave us a workbook to fill out throughout the planning process which helped keep us on track and organized. We met with her frequently and she helped us add things to the list and cross others off. She also was our day of coordinator. Looking back, this is the one position at the wedding that is invaluable. She kept people organized, answered questions so I didn’t have to, solved problems that came up, kept us on time, pinned up my bustle when it broke, packed up the getaway car with my things, sent us with food, handled the marriage license….and so many other things that are probably behind the scenes I don’t even know about. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Do yourself a favor and hire Winey Blondes to plan your wedding!! -

Best Wedding Planner in Georgia
I couldn't say enough good things about Britt if I tried. Hiring Winey Blonde was easily the best vendor decision we made for the entire wedding, and working with Britt was the cherry on top. Each time Britt and I met I felt like her fee was earned in that one session. There are so many details that go into planning and she captured them all. Not only were Britt and Winey Blonde great to work with leading up to our wedding, but I had multiple people tell me our wedding was the best run wedding they had ever been to - if there were any hiccups on wedding day, I was unaware of them and Britt handled them flawlessly. Britt is also one of the kindest, most genuine people there is and that's who you need on your side through planning a wedding. She loves what she does and it shines through her work every day. -

Great Job!
We just celebrated our son's wedding at Kaya Vineyard and Winery in Dahlonega, GA. The wedding coordinator was part of the package. Britt did a great job keeping us informed of all that needed to be done, timelines, and coordinating with the venue. She provided ceremony/event ideas, made other vendor recommendations, and was flexible with her availability. She was very organized and provided us a spreadsheet workbook to help us all keep track of decisions being made. At the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she was on top of everything such that I, mother of the groom, was able to just relax and look forward to the event. When we arrived everything was setup as planned. She ran the event very smoothly and seamlessly. Thanks for a wonderful experience Britt! -

Britt is absolutely amazing!! I have no idea how we would have gotten through the wedding planning process without her. Britt was incredibly accommodating, insightful, friendly, professional and organized. Our consultation meeting was a breeze and she seemed to completely understand our vision for our wedding and recommended outstanding vendors for us to work with. Britt was already very familiar with our wedding venue, Kaya Vineyard & Winery, and when the big day finally arrived, I didn't have a single thing to stress about. Highly Recommend!
Britt was our wedding planner for our big day, and we couldn't have done it without her! Our space had a limited time frame, and she was able to keep the night organized so we could get everything in we wanted to. She also helped to set up the wedding decorations, and it all came together exactly as I imagined, down to every detail. She set aside food and our signature cocktails to make sure we had a chance to experience all the things we'd been planning for so long. Your wedding day goes so fast, and it was great to have someone so organized and responsive to keep things running smoothly! I would highly recommend using their services.-

Bethany was wonderful! Our wedding was just magical. She made it look and feel exactly how we wanted it to. It flowed perfectly. Karen made our wedding dreams come true!
Seriously, we could not have done it without her.
We had a pretty complicated wedding with lots of customization and moving parts. From the time we hired her, Karen kept on top of things and stayed on task without stressing us out. She brought up things we never would have thought of and gave us options and guidance when we were lost in the process. Karen was able to organize everyone, manage timing, keep us on track, and remind us to enjoy our moment - all without seemingly breaking a sweat. Where do I begin? Winey Blonde Events was nothing short of AMAZING from beginning to end. We opted for the full wedding planning option and Ashley was by our side every step of the way for 1.5 years! Right from the start, she totally understood our wedding vision and executed it way beyond our expectations. She constantly went above and beyond to ensure that every last detail had been planned, all while keeping us calm along the way. She was always professional, kind, and so easy to communicate with. During our wedding weekend, she and Alyssa kept everything running so smoothly and ensured that we had the time of our lives without having to worry about anything. Stop reading this review and go book Winey Blonde Events for your wedding! :) Britt Moss planned our wedding and reception at Kaya Vineyard on 4/6/19 and it was absolutely perfect. She's extremely detail-oriented, fun to work with, will help you negotiate if/when you need it, and will make sure your special day is exactly what you want. I am not kidding when I say that I had absolutely ZERO stress on our wedding day because of Britt. She coordinates everything with ease and makes sure every detail is buttoned up to perfection. Even our rehearsal was quick and efficient (and fun!) because Britt is a total pro. From the moment we met her, we knew we were in good hands. Winey Blonde Events was absolutely fabulous to work with! We got married 11/10/18 in Charleston, SC (destination wedding) and could not have been happier with all the guidance and help from Winey Blonde Events. Alyssa was who we worked with the most and she was fabulous! She was easy to work with and I never felt pushed in a direction that I didn't want to go or was unsure about. From the beginning, Alyssa and Karen helped get me on track with the planning process and from the first meeting on, I felt very at ease with the whole planning process. All thanks to them! And as for our wedding day, I could not have been happier with how Alyssa made everything run so smoothly! Awesome Ladies!
I don't think I could have planned my wedding without Winey Blonde. They exceeded any expectations I had of wedding planning, and made the entire day a breeze. My MIL and FIL were so pleased with everything they helped with, and how calm and collected they kept everybody. Everything went off without a hitch and I didn't worry about a thing! Not only are they professional, they are genuinely nice people and care about your day as much as you do. -

We worked mostly with Ashley in planning our wedding at The Chimneys at Big Canoe in July, and the process could not have gone more smoothly! She helped us to quickly and efficiently plan out all of the necessary details, and she ensured that everything was flawless on our wedding day. I had certainly not been very well-versed in all of the decisions and details that go into wedding planning, but Ashley helped to make sure we had all our bases covered. She was so reassuring and fun to work with the whole way through, and even helped my maid of honor bustle my wedding dress (and avoid a stress-induced meltdown!). I cannot express how grateful I am for Winey Blonde, specifically Ashley, and her help with everything wedding related! Ashley was SO on top of things and so patient with all of my crazy questions and requests. I thought I could plan a wedding no problem, but man was I wrong! Ashley had so many thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, and insights that I would have been so lost without.
Ashley set up a timeline for our in person meetings and was always so responsive with any questions I had between meetings. I emailed, called, and texted her throughout our year of planning and she flawlessly handled everything. Leading up to the wedding, her organization and communication was top notch and she just had the best ideas and was SO down to earth and open to our visions.
But the day/weekend of the wedding, I was completely blown away! She kept all of the vendors informed, wrangled all of the family and wedding party for whatever event they were needed for, directed us to where we needed to be at all times and was so on top of EVERYTHING! I honestly cannot think of one thing that went wrong with the wedding day and I know that Ashley and her assistant Brittany were to thank for that. We even made a last minute (day of) seating change for the ceremony and it was fixed and handled in no time. She was so sweet, got along so well with my family and wedding party, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ashley as a friend, too!
All in all, YES! I would totally recommend Ashley, Winey Blonde, and any part of their team for your wedding. Don't hesitate!! :) -

We hired Winey Blonde Events RJ coordinate our daughter’s wedding and were blown away at the professionalism and service we were provided! Alyssa was our coordinator and from day one, she put us at ease that she could help execute our vision. We had multiple meetings with her prior to the wedding and she was in constant contact to make sure we stayed on track. Elizabeth was so helpful and amazing helping us with our wedding day! She answered my many questions and helped calm me down when I was frantic about the weather the week leading up to the event. On the day of the wedding, she was there whenever I needed her! Karen did a wonderful job as the day of coordinator for my daughter's August wedding! She did more than "day of" as we met with her 3 times beforehand and she was always available to answer questions (there were many!) long before the wedding took place. She is a very calm presence in the midst of all the wedding activity! She is organized and very efficient, and I am so glad we chose her as the coordinator. There is a saying in the event planning world – always be the swan. You see, a swan is viewed as very graceful on the water. Delicately gliding through the water. What you don’t see is the swan feverishly paddling below the surface. A good event planner is a swan on the outside, never letting anyone see the hurried pace in which they are really running at. Alyssa Causey is a swan.
I am a former event planner but have never been a bride. So, while I have years of experience in events, aspects of the wedding were completely new to me. Alyssa made the entire process so smooth and stress-free. From our initial planning meeting to the final minutes of our reception everything was top-notch and perfect. When I would plan events, I loved the little touches, almost surprises for my guests. Alyssa has this concept down to a “t”. Let’s just say, when we exited the reception on a very chilly night, our car was running with the heat on for us. Just that little extra step really goes a long ways. She’s the best!

WOW! What is there to say about Winey Blonde besides that they made every part of my wedding planning experience so great! Karen was so responsive and accommodating from the very beginning! At the beginning of our wedding planning process I was unsure about needing a wedding planner or a day of coordinator. I had a coworker use Winey Blonde and she said that they were a lifesaver the day of her wedding.
Hiring Winey Blonde Events was the best decision I made during my wedding planning process. We selected the wedding day of coordinator package but we received much more. Karen got to know my (at the time fiance') and really understood what was important to us. She recommended vendors and guided us through the wedding process. She was much more than a "day of coordinator". Her efforts kept me calm and helped me stay on track without feeling overwhelmed.
On the day of our wedding Karen continued to surprise us even though we didn't think it was possible. She handled everything and made sure everything ran smoothly. I could truly relax and soak up every moment knowing that I was in Karen's hands. Karen was prepared to solve any problem the could have arose, about 30 minutes before the wedding the grooms tux pants ripped and Karen sowed them up in a heart beat.
I could go on for hours about how amazing Winey Blonde and their services are but to sum it all up - you will not regret hiring them. Knowing the service and professionalism they provide, I would have paid triple the amount they charge. -

We had a wonderful experience using Winey Blonde Events for our wedding. I decided fairly late in my planning process to use a day of coordinator service and they provided exactly what I was wanting. Alyssa and Karen were so great to work with and really gave me so much peace of mind leading up to the wedding weekend. I would definitely recommend them to any future bride! -

Karen was the day of wedding planner for my daughter's wedding. She was wonderful! It was such a blessing to have her services. She took care of everything the day of, and met with us a few times before the wedding to make sure we were getting everything done in a timely manner. I highly recommend Karen if you are looking for a wedding planner. She is reasonably priced, easy to work with, and very organized. Karen is amazing! Planning was a breeze, and she definitely kept me on track where needed. On the wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. Karen and Alyssa were absolutely wonderful. We booked their services for our large Atlanta wedding, and we seriously could not have pulled it off without them. They met with us several times prior to the wedding, and were always very gracious with their time and schedules. They were both professional and personable. My timeline changed about a million times, but Alyssa rolled with it and made everything work perfectly! I would definitely recommend this fabulous team to anyone planning a wedding. My husband and I got married this past November at Silver City Farm and we went into our wedding planning blind, not knowing what to do. Almost 5 months before our wedding we found Alyssa from Winey Blonde and she absolutely changed our outlook on our whole wedding. From day one she was there meeting us and setting up everything and helping us to decide on what to do and gave us advice on how to do almost everything. She was so professional but at the same time we felt as though a friend was helping us plan our big day! When our big day arrived Alyssa was amazing and we had comfort knowing she had everything under control and was doing an amazing job- she was there every turn I made making sure all was well and we can not thank her enough for an amazing job done! Karen was so amazing! We hired her as a day of coordinator, but she consistently went above and beyond that! Both my photographer and caterer were so impressed by Karen and how she made my wedding day run so smoothly! At every pre-wedding meeting Karen helped put my mother at ease. At first I didn't see the significance of having a wedding planner and I could not have been more wrong. These ladies are so comfortable with events they may act nonchalant about it, but it's only because they are confident and bring everything together the day-of. There is no way one only one person could do everything with an event as large as a wedding, and Winey Blonde Events makes sure they have multiple hands helping behind the scenes for the entirety of the occasion. Highly recommended. Only advice would be to overly emphasize anything that is super important to you that way the planners can make sure it is everything you dreamed the day-of. -

My advice to anyone who wants to give their daughters the wedding of their dreams is to book with Karen Gramlich @wineyblondeevents!! It was so easy to work with her. She is always so calm and reassuring! She is on top of everything, extremely organized and bends over backwards to help make all your wedding dreams come true!! She has a wonderful rapport with all the vendors, guest and anyone she came in contact with!! The rehearsal and wedding day was flawless!! Everything ran extremely smoothly!! and let me just say when one of the bridesmaids zippers busted she very calmly whipped out her sewing kit and fixed it on the spot right before we were getting ready to go to line up!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her!! She is a true blessing and has a gift for what she does!! LOVE her!! So all Mother of the Brides ,Karen is your lady!! I attended the Revier wedding in Big Canoe. Alyssa and Erin were consummate professionals, but so friendly and charming...that I thought they were actual wedding guests for the first several hours (before champagne!). Keeping a large and 'enthusiastic' group on the bride and groom's schedule is a lot like herding cats on ice skates - but they did it so graciously, which allowed everyone there to relax and create life-long memories, instead of juggling or trouble-shooting all the details that unfold behind the scene. All the best to those two hard working ladies - they will go far! -

Karen just happened to fall into our laps because she is tied to the venue and caterer so she was an obvious choice. But I did my research of course and her pricing is comparable, if not better, and it's a bonus because she is so IN with our venue and caterer. She's been very responsive, friendly and respectful of our budget. It's great she also offers different tiers of planning. I've had friends who have had such bad experiences with their planners, when you're looking for someone to guide your special day, you want someone like Karen leading the charge. Update: our wedding was pure magic. Karen saw through that every detail was absolutely perfect. Throughout the planning process Karen really proved herself to us so we were 100% able to trust her to do her thing which allowed us to really enjoy every precious moment of our wedding...which is no easy feat for two very type A personalities! All the planners I've been exposed to in the past are almost scary with how they take charge whereas Karen is the exact opposite, she's calm and behind the scenes and it's such a better experience for everyone involved. Hiring Karen was EASILY the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process. I can't recommend her enough. I'm sad the wedding is over actually because I won't get to work with her anymore! Xo -

Wow, where to begin! Winey Blonde made sure our wedding went SO smoothly, and thanks to them, it was perfect. I can honestly say that I would have been a mess without them. They really went above and beyond and made things flow so well, we can't thank them enough!! From the monthly meetings beforehand, to the rehearsal dinner, to the day of the wedding, they really had it all together. Thank you so much! I was SO amazed when it was time for me and my new husband to go at the end of my wedding, thinking I would have to go grab my purse and bags and phone and stuff, but they had already packed up our car with all of mine and my husbands stuff and all we had to do was just to walk out the door! Such organization! Not to mention, Karen even drove to publix and to my moms house to pick up our cakes (we had a lot!) and transported them to the venue!!!! We will recommend them to EVERY SINGLE person who asks us for a wedding coordinator. They really saved the day!!! Thank you Winey Blonde!!!! Amazing.

Karen with Winey Blondes Co was an incredible blessing to our family. She was the coordinator for our daughter's wedding. She was meticulously organized and never forgot any detail we ever mentioned. She met with us multiple times and even drove to our destination wedding location an extra trip so that she could learn her way around. Although she had many weddings to coordinate, we felt like we were the only people that she had to work for. She was extremely attentive, kind, honored our daughter's wishes for the event in every way. She remained calm and cheerful every second. She kept us on schedule in spite of our tardiness at times, yet never made us feel rushed. We had a very complicated destination with multiple busses picking up people at 23 different locations. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Karen and her team of assistants. We hired Karen as our day of/weekend of coordinator but she became SO MUCH MORE than that. We had 4 meetings with her before our wedding weekend, she completed a walk through with us and came back up to our destination wedding location the next weekend to make sure all the details were accounted for, all of which was above and beyond what she was hired for. She spent the weeks leading up to our wedding handling all of the logistical details, transportation schedules, vendor arrivals and timelines, and much much more. She was present our entire wedding weekend and handled every detail... even my husband misplacing his passport for our honeymoon! She stayed until the wee hours of the morning packing up all of our wedding gift and supplies. She did all of this with a completely calm and kind attitude, and made us feel like every detail was taken care of so we never had to stress. Our family and friends continue to rave about how wonderful she was and I will never stop talking about how incredible winey blonde events was! Will happily give more of a referral for anyone with questions!! -

Karen with Winey Blonde Events coordinated both my wedding in Hawaii and my baby shower at the Rosabelle manor venue. She was on top of everything. We met a few times before each event to discuss what I liked then by the time each party started it was like she was 50 people running around doing EVERYTHING. Not only was she one of the most beautiful kind gracious hosts that looked like she wasn't busy greeting all the guests, she kept all the vendors in line. She was always professional and capable, extremely organized, thoughtful, very good at listening to what we wanted, and especially, always calm. She effortlessly handled all issues that came up, including a last minute switch from outdoor to indoor venue due to weather. When I began planning my wedding, I knew I didn't want a wedding planner. I am a do-it yourself person and I wanted every detail to be perfect, my way. Winey Blonde did an excellent job with our wedding. We booked at the Chimneys at Big Canoe, which is exclusively partnered with Winey Blonde. Karen took care of us from the first day on. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She helped us coordinate everything with the catering company (Talk of the Town), and she had lots of great recommendations not only for the food but other wedding details from her experience. We had LOTS of questions, and Karen did her best to get back to us. There were a few times that we had to ask again, but I can only imagine the millions of questions she must field every day from brides and their families. When it got closer to our wedding date, Karen set us up with our day-off event coordinator, Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a joy to work with. She came to our final walk-through and really held our hands through the last month of planning. On the day of the wedding, Elizabeth had everything down to a science. When it started raining 30 minutes before our outdoor ceremony, she calmly talked us through the options, and she had such a great demeanor about the whole thing. Luckily it stopped raining, and everything was able to proceed as planned. During dinner and dancing, Elizabeth was always within ear-shot and she had a fresh beverage in her hand ready and waiting for me and my husband before we even realized our last one was empty! My husband keeps saying, "I really had no clue what the point of a wedding planner was....then I saw everything Elizabeth did. And now I get it! She was worth her weight in gold that night!" (Shows what boys know!) You should definitely have a wedding planner, and you should definitely contact Winey Blonde! They did a great job making sure our wedding was absolutely perfect! -

Our wedding coordinator was truly great. She was fun to work with and often brought up details of the wedding we hadn't even considered. Our wedding day was perfect and she had quite a bit to do with that. She took care of every detail day-of so we didn't have to. I highly recommend the service. -

Karen is so calm and helpful during the whole process! As a logistically minded bride I was worried about all of the details coming together and something being forgotten or messed up. During our time together Karen assured me she had everything under control and to leave it all up to her. I did, and my wedding turned out perfectly! During the day I couldn't have been happier with Karen or Erin's service. Everything flowed smoothly, and both ladies were always there asking if I needed anything and taking care of the details. So thankful they were a part of my day! -

Severely Dissapointed
We felt confident using Winey Blonde for our day of coordination for our wedding last September—their services were a part of the contract we signed with our venue (Kaya Vineyard and Winery). They came highly recommended. We read their reviews online and were excited to have assistance coordinating all of our amazing vendors and executing our vision. Everything went smoothly throughout the initial phases of the planning process—we had Britt, who was responsive and cordial throughout the planning process. I enjoyed meeting with her in person and coordinating with her during the months leading up until our wedding. During our rehearsal, we had a couple of minor issues (i.e., outdated information relating to bridal party members/processional order discussed in previous meetings), but we were able to correct these issues.
I’ve hesitated writing this review because I am aware of the reputation this company has along with its individual planners; however, I could not have been more disappointed in them. It makes me sad because I felt like I clicked well with Britt, but the execution of our wedding the day of fell flat and the responsibility of coordinating the event fell on important members of our bridal party and family. They, too, less than ideal experiences and were frustrated with the quality of “event coordination” that occurred that day. I’ve included their statements below, so as not to replicate multiple reviews reflecting the same experience/event:
“I arrived on time to drop off the cross to be used for the wedding ceremony and asked the wedding coordinator (Britt) if I could have someone help me get it out of my truck, as it was too heavy for me to lift by myself. She rudely dismissed me and walked away while I waited for 20 minutes and finally asked some of the caterers (Talk of the Town) to help me move it. Thankfully, they did. Because of this, I was late for my first look with my daughter and she, consequentially, had to forfeit time for photos with the bridal party. Later in the evening, I was told there would be no time for me to say a few words after introducing my daughter and her husband. As the father of the bride, this was deeply upsetting and I did not enjoy having to explain to my daughter, when she later asked, why I wasn’t able to say more. This was a moment I planned for, looked forward to, and ultimately lost. The representative for this company did not showcase competence and/or friendliness during this special event, and I was grossly disappointed.” R.R. (Father of the Bride)
“I was Paige’s Maid of Honor and I’m going to keep the summary of my experience short because it honestly makes me so mad thinking about it. My biggest issue with Britt was her lack of professionalism and readiness to let the bride know about issues occurring throughout the evening…really can’t get over that. Myself, and Paige’s Matron of Honor, told Britt (both during the rehearsal and day of) to let US know if there were any issues that needed to be remedied, and instead she chose to tell Paige. When it did come to remedying issues, we had to be the ones to suggest ideas and try to come up with solutions while Britt made statements to us like ‘I feel like I could be doing better’ and ‘I don’t know how we’re going to fix this.’ I would definitely NOT recommend these services to anyone.” E.W. “I was passing out programs and had to ask Britt where I was supposed to stand and she responded shortly and rudely. She explained my job to me, as if I didn’t know how to hand out programs, in a belittling tone. It appeared as though she was stressed about something, but it was completely uncalled for. Definitely nothing like I’ve experienced working with wedding planners at both my own and other weddings.” L.G. (Cousin of Groom)
I personally had some surprisingly negative experiences with Britt during our wedding night. First, I asked her to bring the corsages for my family members to the event venue while we took photos. She forgot them (not a big deal), and let me know while I was waiting to walk down the aisle with my Dad. I was annoyed, but offered her the code to the cabin we were staying at on the Kaya property. She said she’d go get them during the ceremony, but I later found out this didn’t happen because apparently the code didn’t work--though it worked fine for my bridesmaids to utilize it before, during, and after the reception. This upset me because 1) there were multiple Kaya employees available who could have helped remedy this situation and 2) the people I wanted to be made to feel special were not able to receive their gifts and the corsages wilted from being left out. Therefore, all the money spent on them was wasted. I just felt as though there was a lack of problem-solving skills present and something small like this should have been easily remedied without my knowledge. Second, during our meetings I detailed to Britt exactly how I needed the time after the ceremony but between the reception to go in order to get all of our family pictures, I intentionally placed people, according to Britt’s seating chart, in the first three rows and they were NOT to be dismissed following the ceremony so Walker and I could return and we could get pictures with them. We have multiple older family members, so this was to ensure ease and comfort for them as well as organize everyone so we could take our pictures quickly and efficiently to allow for us to have time for some romantic sunset photos. This was not communicated properly and, therefore, people did not remain in their seats. Sadly, we were not able to find all of our family members for photos and Walker and I did not have time to take any romantic sunset photos (one of the reasons we chose Kaya in the first place).
In addition to these experiences, my Matron of Honor and several other bridal party/family members had less than ideal experiences working with this company. Though I was thankful these people were able to step in and work to make sure our wedding turned out well, I was completely heartbroken that they had to. These were people I wanted to enjoy our evening with us, and they were not able to. I did not hear my father’s speech, barely saw my Matron of Honor (who was working behind the scenes to help Britt coordinate), and was devastated to hear over and over again how negatively people viewed a highly recommended vendor. I’m sad our wedding was the exception to their five-star service in this case. If I could change one thing about my wedding, I would have sought my own day of coordinator, even though Winey Blonde is partnered with Kaya Vineyard and Winery. I waited several months to write this review because I wasn’t sure how to properly detail our experience, and I was afraid of hurting people. I decided to because, while I can look back on my wedding day and be thankful for all the things that did go right, I know they were not because of this company.
