High quality content!

Sam from WCP was the videographer for our wedding and he did not disappoint! Sam was fun and easy to work with, and helped to keep our bridal party hype and excited for the big day. He captured all the shots we requested, and a plethora of others. He provided more than we expected as far as edited content (2 teasers, a full film, and 4 extra snippets)!!! We were highly impressed with the edited content...it felt like we were reliving our wedding day all over again. Not to mention, he edited content during the wedding and played it on the wall during the reception, projector style! All our guests were SO impressed (and so were we!) Video is certainly something we did not want to compromise on, and we can certainly say we made the right choice going with WCP!

A highlight of our day!!

Working with Katie at Windy City Production was a highlight of our wedding day. We booked the full photography package with Katie and an assistant.

Katie’s personality was perfect for our day. She was calm under pressure and both supportive and helpful when we ran into some complications throughout the day (rain, missing flowers, keeping us on the timeline, etc.). She had such a kind and friendly personality, which helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera and relaxed. Katie’s professionalism was exceptional. The way she was responsive to our needs and adaptable allowed us to put our full trust in her ability to produce great work for our wedding day. Long after the wedding, our guests kept telling us how impressed they were with the professionalism and kindness of the photography team!

Katie seemed to customize our wedding poses based on our ease in front of the camera and how we engaged as a couple throughout the day. It led to some beautifully posed shots where we both looked so happy and really captured our love for each other. Katie was also able to wonderfully capture the prep for both the bride and groom before the big reveal.

We were lucky enough to receive a lot of photos which will help us cherish and remember the day for decades to come. Katie did a great job making sure we captured all of the must-have shots and captured impromptu requests from guests with grace. After we received the photographs back it was incredibly easy to access/share them with all our family and friends through their online portal.

Overall we can’t recommend Katie and Windy City Production enough!

Thanks for a Great Experience

We would like to thank Sam and Katie for being our videographer team for our wedding! Sam did a great job keeping the energy going and was communicative throughout the day. We liked the ideas that you brought for the video led portions of the shoot, and appreciate how you gave the tip for Venuti’s patio as a great shoot location. The poses and even the before day chats on the phone and in person meeting helped us receive a product we were happy with. WCP also helped us after the shoot get copies of the video in our requested format, which was an awesome bonus.

Our cinema is a keepsake we will cherish forever!

We could not have asked for a better team to capture our day! Sam set everyone at ease as soon as he arrived, and knew exactly how to direct us to get warm, genuine footage. Our photographer even commented that Sam is the best wedding videographer he has ever worked with.

Not only did he help keep us on schedule and ensure we got all of the shots that we wanted, everyone had so much fun working with him. The final product blew my husband and I away - we were so impressed with the full-length video as well as the two teasers. It captured the fun, excitement, and romanticism of the day better than we could have hoped for.

We are so happy we made the investment to work with Sam and Katie at Windy City Production, it was worth every penny!

Great photographer!

Katie is an amazing person to work with. Not only was I completely sold on her photos (our venue had shown us some of her work) but she was also incredibly easy to work with. She is organized and has a great system for taking care of her customers. Unfortunately my wedding was canceled and Katie was gracious about refunding my deposit, which none of my other vendors did. Not only do I highly recommend Windy city production, but I hope one day I'll be able to use their services in the future!

Katie and Sam were the absolute best. We got married on NYE in 2021 and they helped to make the night extra special. We had so many guests come up to us saying how awesome they both were, and we even had a friend book them for their own wedding later this year because they were so impressed with Sam's video coverage. They are sweet, understanding, flexible, and SO. TALENTED. We got our photos and video back incredibly quick and loved everything. 10/10 would recommend using them for your special day.

Covid cancelled wedding, fully refunded !

tie has been so amazing to work with. We were a unique situation from the very start and Katie ALWAYS worked with us, was flexible, and made us feel so at ease with the entire process. We were planning a wedding from out of state and that alone was hard. Katie walked us through everything we needed. During our wedding planning I got pregnant and because of a high risk pregnancy we had to push our wedding date. Katie was so wonderful and agreed to hold our deposit and move the services to a future date. A few months after my babies were born, COVID bit and our wedding planning came to a complete halt. It is now Oct. 2021 and after reaching back out to Katie, she has offered to return our deposit in full !!! This is unheard of and we are so incredibly grateful to have had someone so understanding and kind to work with. I would recommend Katie and her team 100% and hope we get to work with her again.

Flexible and amazing to work with! Highly recommend!

Katie and her team at Windy City Production were amazing to work with. We had a difficult planning process, having had to reschedule multiple times and change venues due to new restrictions surrounding COVID-19. When my fiancé and I had to make the difficult decision to cancel our ceremony all together, and as such video services, Katie FULLY refunded our deposit and contract. It is a relief to work with such understanding and thoughtful vendors. A friend of mine recommended WCP to me, as their work is fantastic, and I hope we have the chance to work together in the future!

Fantastic option for wedding photos and video

Great pictures, high level of professionalism and communication, and fun to work with! We hired Katie and her associate production crew for a photo & video combo. They did great work and we found the quality of the end product to be consistent with everything we saw online. Professional!

So i originally hired WCP as my wedding photography for my wedding next year. Put the deposit down and everything. After months of deliberating, My fiancé and I then decided that we were changing our whole wedding vision/theme and were wanting a more moody style of photography. I talked with Katie and let her know my situation and she was super understanding. She even offered to refund my deposit back even though in the contract it said that the deposit was non-refundable! Even though I ended up not going with Sam and Katie, Katie has been nothing short of professional and for all of the other brides looking at this right now, know that you’ll be in good hands with them! :)

Best wedding investment!!

This is going to be a long BUT WORTHY review because my husband and I couldn’t leave any detail about Windy City left out! We booked Windy City Productions to use as our wedding videographers after seeing their fabulous work at my cousins wedding. After having our first phone call about wedding details, timeline, ideas and much more, I knew we were in great hands because Sam was so helpful and took a lot of stress off of our shoulders. Fast forward to our wedding day.... we could not have been more blown away by Sam and Windy City Productions. From the beginning of the day to the very end they were a blast to work with. They made everything easy and fun and were able to handle our very big and obnoxious bridal party. Our absolute favorite thing about the day was the little video (I call it a sneak peek) they put together for us during our wedding reception. We could not believe the talent behind this video!! It had clips from the whole day in it and they were able to put this together before the night even ended! The video had all of our guests in happy tears. And now, after receiving our final wedding video, we haven’t been able to turn it off! We’ve watched it 20 times and each time we love it more and more! We’ve had many, many people asking about Windy City Productions after seeing them at our wedding and so many compliments on them and their work. We will be recommending them to everyone and anyone!

Wonderful Company

Katie and Windy City Production was a wonderful company to work with. Due to financial circumstances we had to cancel our wedding that was already postponed due to COVID. Instead of making us pay cancellation fees, she refunded our deposit which the did not happen with every other vendor that we worked with and amazed us. It is amazing to see vendors that still value people and are very understanding and graceful.

Fully refunded deposit without hesitation - COVID BRIDE

Fully refunded deposit without hesitation! As a COVID bride, the restrictions in Illinois ultimately altered what we initially had planned for our special day. We ended up deciding to move our wedding out of Illinois to another less restrictive state in order to be able to celebrate with as many loved ones as possible. When notifying Katie at Windy City Production, she honored our full refund back to us without hesitation! Katie has been so easy to work with and it was such a relief that when we had to change plans, she was so understanding. I was initially referred to her from our friends wedding, and the video of their day was so perfect: had a special sparkle and emotion to it that really captured the essence of the day. Although I’m sad we won’t ultimately be able to have a video of our day, I will absolutely use them for something in the future and would recommend them to any bride especially under covid concerns.

Speechless!

I truly can't say enough great things about WCP! After doing a TON of research, reaching out to a bunch of places, and reviewing endless galleries, we hired Katie and Sam to shoot at our wedding. We could not be happier with not only the results, but the care, service, and kindness that came along as well!

Katie was fantastic through the entire process. Always kept me updated, and was more than patient with all my questions - even setting up time for us to meet in person (pre COVID) and over the phone when needed to make sure I felt at ease. From the day I met her, I already knew that we were going to choose them.

Katie and Sam literally felt like family by the end of this process. Not only are they just genuine people, they are CHAMPS at what they do - I would put them against any other company and bet you they're would be absolutely no comparison. They are passionate about what they do, and who would have thought smiling for so many pictures could be SO FUN!

They knew exactly what to say to get perfect pictures - no fake laughing here, it was all genuine and they could not have captured our day any more perfectly. I'm getting emotional writing this, reflecting back a few weeks to our big day and how incredible Katie and Sam were. My family loved them, and they completely shocked us with a video teaser toward the end of the night - WHO DOES THAT?! Same day?!? Absolutely incredible - we are still getting compliments about that!!

The finished product was ready in 2 weeks.. Yes, 14 days!!! All of our fully edited pictures, and am almost 10 minute video, along with all our raw footage. Everything was way above our expectations, and it's impossible to pick favorite pictures!

If you're on the fence, do it. Spend the money, make the investment. You wont regret it! There is only one shot at getting the pictures that capture your special day, and if you want it done right you HAVE to go with Katie and Sam at WCP!

Windy City Production is amazing !

Sam and Katie are so kind, caring and patient. First of all Katie and Sam are genuinely good people who truly care about their clients, we instantly gained a friendship across the country just through talking to Katie and Sam throughout our day during and between all the amazing shots they captured. Both Sam and Katie display such a calming presence that made my husband and I so relaxed and comfortable during hours of photos and video footage being captured. Katie told me something very important on my wedding day that I will never forget for the rest of my life. She said “don’t be sorry, this is your day! ”--- after I apologized for the hundredth time that day for something silly, like needing another minute to collect myself before leaving the hotel room for my soon-to- be husband to see me for the very first time as his soon-to-be wife. We stumbled upon Sam and Katie by chance and like Katie said in our original email “ I’m so happy the stars aligned and we will be able to film your big day in the beautiful country of Costa Rica”. Meeting Sam and Katie truly reminded me of the saying my husband and I live by- “Everything happens for a reason”. Just a few short hours before hearing from Katie, I was devastated that we would not be able to have a film, as prior plans fell through and suddenly I was introduced to Katie through email just 3 short weeks before our wedding and was reminded that in fact everything does happen for a reason and that after all the worry, stress and months of back and forth decision making, a video of our big day was in fact in our future. Katie reassured me that they would be able to capture our big day and meet us in the beautiful country of Costa Rica in just a few short weeks. I knew just from her emails I couldn’t wait to work with her and Sam. Fast forward to our days as Mr. & Mrs. The minute we landed in Philadelphia from our amazing wedding in Costa Rica my phone dinged I had a new email, it was from Katie, our video was edited and published on YouTube. As I stumbled off the plane carrying way too much luggage strapped to every part of my body, I soon too had tears running down my cheeks as I watched our wedding video so creatively captured and pieced together by Sam and Katie! Their work is truly so unique and beautiful! The video is nothing short of amazing and has allowed us to reflect back on the best day of our lives. Katie and Sam made all the shots they took so easy to capture by allowing the shots to be captured naturally with simple suggestions. Excellent work and fun team!

Katie and Sam were absolutely wonderful to work with and so kind! They shot our wedding video in Puerto Rico and were such a blast. Their approach is very fun and energetic. As two people who don’t typically like to be in front of the camera, Sam made us feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. They have a great eye and were able to capture many special moments. Relive every moment of the big day

Katie and her team at Windy City Production did our photography and videography for our 200 person wedding. I cannot recommend them enough- every detail was captured beautifully. Katie is so friendly and personable, she makes you feel like a close friend. She met with us to find out our wedding vision, was able to help us out with a schedule and plan of action for the day of (I'm not someone who knows a lot about weddings or how things should go) and she and her team executed that plan totally. The team was everywhere to capture every detail, but also not obtrusive. Looking at all of our photos, there is not one detail that was missed. Every guest raved about how excellent our photographers were. AND THE VIDEO. The most perfect thing. We have access to all the raw video from our wedding but they also edited a cinematic version complete with my mother-in-law's reading during our ceremony as part of the audio. Amazing, amazing, amazing. So happy!!!

Makes moments

Sam completely blew us away! He just does his job so well. He MAKES moments happen by pulling you aside with not only your groom but also with all the other behind-the-scenes people like your mom, your sister, etc. He really gets you to come back to the moment and BE PRESENT with those around you amidst the chaos. Like everyone says, your wedding day is a blur and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for what he did. Those are the moments I remember. And, of course, his day-of edit was priceless. I felt like our entire reception was crying (even some of my husband's ex-rugby teammates!!!). Our guests continued to talk about the video into the next day and a week later I am still getting texts asking when I will be able to share it. It was THAT good, I'm telling you...(and it was not because we do well in front of a camera - quite the opposite actually)! I would recommend Sam whole-heartedly and without reservation. Complete Wedding Video Package

Windy City Productions, and especially our videographer Katie should be a first choice for your wedding video needs! We found Katie through reviews and recommendations -- after talking with her on the phone, we knew she was the perfect choice.

Katie was able to take a variety of personal videos throughout the day -- from preparation through to dancing. The video process was simple and unobtrusive, exactly what you need on your wedding day. Additionally, she was able to have different shoot methods, particularly drone footage, to capture unique shots for the day.

The final video product was professional, perfect, and easy to view. Katie provided clear information on how to download and access the video for the future, even for the less tech savvy viewers. If adding video to your wedding day, Katie is a fantastic option!

Hands down, the best.

Sam and Katie are by far the best photographers we've ever worked with. They're so friendly and truly care about capturing your special day so you can look back on it for years to come. We used them as our wedding photographer in October 2018 and I've recommended them to all of my friends, many who have used them since as well. They recently offered a free mini session to all of their past clients, and we were able to take our first family photos with our new addition. Truly amazing work!

Sam and Katie are amazing! We had Sam as our videographer for our wedding back in July at The Brix on the Fox and his wife Katie did all of the editing for the video and we could not be more happy with how it turned out! Throughout the entire process, they made sure they knew exactly what type of video we were going for and they were affordable compared to many other videographers that I priced out, so ultimately it was a win-win! The day of our wedding, Sam was punctual, easy to talk to and pretty much ran the whole show! Our video would not have turned out nearly as good if it wasn't for his creative ideas and ways of getting us to come out of our shells! He even surprised us before our first dance with a same day teaser and shocked everybody there! We received so many compliments from our family and friends about how amazing it turned out and how they couldn't believe how fast he put it all together ! They also have a 2 week turnaround time and emailed us 13 days after our wedding saying it was ready for pickup. Another great thing is that they only require a deposit when you book and the remaining balance isn't due until 2 weeks after your event when you go to pick it up from them! I can't say enough great things about this couple and their company -- they're worth every penny!

NYE Wedding

Believe me when I say there is NO ONE ELSE out there who you would want to capture your wedding day other than WCP! When it came to planning our wedding, my husband and I agreed that the most important thing was having phenomenal pictures and a beautiful video so that we could relive our NYE wedding for years to come. Katie and I connected from our initial phone consultation and the rest is history! Sal and Natalie were our wedding photographers and a 5 Star review does not even begin to explain how happy we were with their attention to detail, guidance, professionalism, and friendship. We had our photos and video before we were even back from our honeymoon! I found that a two week turnaround is unheard of, so the fact that WCP promises your photos that quick was definitely a huge selling point for us. I know that there are hundreds of companies out there, but no one can compare to Windy City Production. We are so lucky to have found them and can confidently say hiring WCP was the best and easiest decision of the wedding planning process!

Remarkable!!

If I could give more than five stars I would. A few years back I saw the video and pictures that Windy City Productions captured of a friends sisters wedding and fell in love with their work. When it came time to plan our own wedding I immediately wanted to sit down with them to see what more of their work looked like. As soon as we met with Katie I was so excited (and not just because she had her fur babies with her in the office that day, that was just a huge plus). Their work speaks for itself. We got married on May 3 of this year. Katie was our lead photographer and she had a second shooter with her as well as a videographer. The day was seamless. From the moment they arrived they were quick, professional, and so easy and fun to work with. I knew our pictures and video were going to be extradorinaiy just by the amount of work and heart they put into each shot that day. I'm pretty sure my husband wanted to kill me because I kept talking about how excited I was to see their work when we were on our honeymoon. True to their word, we received our wedding video yesterday, only 10 days after the wedding, it is beyond beautiful. My entire family and friends are in awe of their work. Our wedding pictures are just about completed and I cannot wait. Their work speaks for itself, but meeting them, talking to them, and working with them is the real treat. You will feel so at ease and have a lot of fun, as you should on your wedding day! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Windy City Productions, you will make one of the best decisions for your biggest day (besides the spouse you choose of course). Thank you so much Katie and Sam! Amazing photography!

I have been over the moon about my experience with Windy City Productions. They made my day SO special and were so helpful every step of the way. They ran the show and I am so happy I booked with them. They were so sweet and kind all day and night. I got my pictures and videos back so quickly and I still can't stop looking at them! They did an amazing job! They exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to have these special memories from their wedding day!

Amazing Video! Amazing Service!

We can't say enough good things about our experience with Windy City Production. Katie brought tons of positive energy to our big day and went far above and beyond what we expected to get some fantastic shots. On top of all that, the services were affordable and prompt. We did not have to wait long for the final video and we we got it, we were blown away. Katie did an amazing job putting together something that captured all the key moments and was meaningful to us. Even 6 months later, we still watch it all the time!

The only negative was that, at times, it was hard to to get regular communication from the WCP team. That being said, the quality definitely proved worth it and we'd definitely recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely LOVE our photos and video!!!

We had the pleasure of working with Sal and Kathy for our wedding on November 3, 2018. They both were extremely professional and handled us and our insane wedding party with ease and didn’t bat an eye when I was over an hour late for our first look. I spoke with Katie directly for the 11 months leading up to our wedding and she was extremely responsive and answrred all of our questions. We knew we picked the right company to go with! Even after the wedding they continued the responsiveness and we were at ease knowing we would have our fully edited video and photos within 2 weeks of our wedding which was unheard of! And we did! Within 2 weeks we had our video and all of our photos not only on a google drive but our video was printed on a dvd! All of our family and friends cannot believe how quick we received everything and how amazing our video is! They were able to capture every moment and we will have the most amazing memories for the rest of our lives thanks to them! Highly highly recommend!!

I just love Karie and Sam! They are the best and best! I had really great memorial with them! They are very patient with me ( I have so many picky and detail requirement, they all try to satisfy me!) People may consider that the price is high, but I honestly think it’s worth! I had work at the media industry, it’s very time consuming to editi photos and videos! I am surprised not only their quality but also the speed( they can delivery your work within two weeks)! I had a DIY wedding, they respect me and schedule appointment to deep discuss with me about all the detail of the wedding! I really appreciate about them! Also, they did not update profolio on time, definitely email and ask them send you more work! They have more awesome work but they did not post it online! They only thing I felt a little bit regret is: I was too busy during the wedding day and I don’t have a chance to take a picture with Katie and Sam!

Finding the right photographer/videographer was a challenge in itself. Finding AMAZING photographers/videographers is a whole other ball game. When I came across Windy City Productions, I fell in LOVE instantly with their work. As I started to work with them to get ready for our wedding, I got to know Katie. Katie is a very sweet individual who really wants to make sure they are providing the best service possible for a seamless day when it came to pictures and videos. Although Katie was not our day of photographer/videographer, she sent an amazing duo team, Sal & Kathy. I honestly did not know what to expect from a photographer/videographer because this was the first time using such a service. All I can say is that I had the most POSITIVE wedding experience anyone can ask for. Sal & Kathy felt like they were apart of the family. They were so nice and very attentive to all the details and doing their best to service us in any way. I had an issue with my dress and Kathy was trying to do everything she could so that I would feel comfortable. I wasn't expecting that at all. I was receiving compliments left and right about how nice that was. And Sal. I can honestly say he was a true GENTLEMAN. The bridal party was taking pictures in our robes and with satin robes, they can slightly expose certain undergarments if not to careful but Sal did his true best to either turn around or walk away or let Kathy know "Hey can you tell her to close up her robe." Honestly is was very sweet and refreshing to see a person be very professional. My husband and I felt so comfortable with them that we hugged them after the wedding and were so thankful. They were just amazing and I would highly recommend then and even hire them again for other occasions.

This positive review is a few days after our wedding and although I do not have all my pictures or video footage yet, I know I will not be disappointing. I will share an update once I receive everything.

This is a thank you to Sam and Katie for all their hard work and dedication in capturing the best parts of our day. Not only did Sam arrive early to get some amazing venue footage, but he took his time capturing wonderful shots from family, friends, and of course me and my husband. He even stayed later than normal for footage of our sparkler exit.

When I started the wedding planning process, videography was a low priority on my list... luckily my sisters-in-law talked some sense into me. However, our wedding was a destination so I had no idea where to begin. I relied on the reviews of other brides and Wedding Wire to help me find the perfect team.

Sam and Katie worked with us on timing, budget, and so much more. They exceeded our expectations on the day of and continue to do so in the transition of the footage.

So, long story short... If you are looking for a videographer or you are on the fence, do it and hire Windy City Productions!!

Kathy, Katie, and the Windy City Production Team created an incredible teaser and cinematic video for our wedding! We were able to meet with them in person during the planning process, and they were very personable. (Plus, they had three ADORABLE Boxer dogs at their office!!!) They also finished the videos fairly quickly, and sent us those and all of the raw footage on DVDs in keepsake boxes. Thank you, Windy City Production!

Katie was amazing! As a nervous bride, she was always there to respond to any and all inquiries that I had. She was so easy to work with! We had a brunch wedding, so she had to be at our getting ready venue very early. She was on time, enthusiastic, and made sure we stayed as on schedule as possible! She knew exactly how to capture our wedding day. Our bridal party had nothing but great things to say about Katie, and she made us all feel so comfortable and beautiful. I am so glad I chose Windy City Productions for our photography.

My wedding day flew by. After the day was over, I felt like I could hardly remember every moment! Katie and Sam perfectly captured our day with video. The guests at our wedding could not stop commenting on how much they enjoyed Sal and Sam as they were capturing our day. Sal made us feel very comfortable and we had so much fun working with him. The price of our photography package was a great value compared to other companies in the area. Contacting Katie and Sal was always easy, and they were both very receptive to our desires for the day and the kinds of photos we wanted. I would absolutely recommend using Windy City Productions. The fact that many of our guests asked for Sal’s contact information shows how wonderful this company and its photographers are.

Katie and Kathy were so amazing! It was a delight working with them on such an important date. My husband and I are so glad we chose Windy City Productions as our photographer and videographers in our wedding in Miami, Florida. Unfortunately, we had some hiccups with the location we originally chose to have our first look at since it was under remodel; however, Katie and Kathy were so nice to help me choose a location. While we were all getting ready the morning of my wedding, Katie and Kathy decided to drive around Miami and look for places to capture the moment. They sent me pictures of the different locations and their ideas. They were wonderful, they made a stressful process so easy. I loved the fact that they had a timeline ready for us; which included our first look, pictures with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, family pictures, etc. Thank you so much for being there for us. Our experience with Windy City Production was absolutely amazing! From the first correspondence, Katie was always on top of everything and very responsive and friendly. We planned our wedding from 1200 miles away, and I was never worried one bit about the videographer! They sent Cindy to capture our special day, and she was such a sweetheart! She was so warm and friendly - definitely made everyone feel comfortable, so much so that we didn’t even know she was filming half the time, all while capturing the most special moments. She has a creative eye without a doubt - our wedding cinema was breathtaking! On top of being a talented videographer, she was the absolute nicest person - even offered me a bobby pin from her own updo when I had a curl fall during photos! We chose Windy City Productions and True Sounds Entertainment for our August 26, 2017, wedding and we could not have been happier with our decision. Both Katie and Sam were a delight to work with and were always available to answer our many questions as we navigated the wedding planning process.
DJ Sammy was emceed our wedding and people cannot stop raving about how wonderful the music was and what a delightful host Sammy was. The music was exactly what we asked for based off of the expert portal that Sammy has created. The night flowed seamlessly and everyone had a blast. There was music to suit every person’s taste, whether young or old.
We just received our pictures from the day and they are gorgeous! They perfectly capture the magic and love of the day. Our photographers, Katie and Juan, were consummate professionals throughout the day and made us feel very comfortable throughout the day. They helped walk us through our uncertainties and memorialized all of our special moments.
Both WCP and TSE exceeded all of our expectations and we would highly recommend them for anyone’s upcoming wedding!

Katie/Sam and crew are a top notch team. The service/production/price is great. This is the second wedding that we have used them and we were pleased both times. First time they were new to the business--great job! This time--another fantastic experience--start to finish. Kathy was wonderful the day of the event--started at our home--seamlessly worked all day--church to reception. I recommend WCP to anyone planning a significant event. I used them for photography for the rehearsal dinner also. Perhaps the next thing will be a baptism. :) It is great to see major events through several lenses--they tell the story of your day in a spectacular way.

Choosing Windy City Photography to do our wedding videographer was honestly the best decision we could have made! Not only are they affordable but their work is AMAZING and Katie and her team are BEYOND TALENTED. For real. Leading up to the wedding, it was so easy to work with them. Kathy was our videographer and she was so sweet and truly listened to my wedding vision and what I wanted out of our wedding video. On our wedding day, I didn't even notice that she was there filming and it felt more like a friend capturing all of the special moments - that's how comfortable she made me feel. Which I think most of us can agree that having someone in your face filming all day could feel a little awkward. It didn't.

Naturally, prior to choosing them (and until we got our cinema), I creeped on their Vimeo once a week =) If you've watched their videos, you know how great they are - and don't lie, you've shed a tear or ten. When I saw our wedding video posted, I was SO nervous. I can be pretty hard to please and a little bit of a perfectionist. As soon as I hit the play button, all of my worries and potential criticism were wiped away. The video was (and is) PERFECT! Literally, NO ONE could capture that day and every moment (and put it all with music) so perfectly. I am so happy that we have this video to cherish for the rest of our lives and that we can relive that day forever. Wedding videography is truly priceless and something I know I would regret if I had gone without. Windy City Photography is truly the best choice and we are so thankful we chose them!

We absolutely loved working with WCP over the past year! Each individual was so genuine and we felt like we hit the jackpot reserving them as one of our vendors. We contacted Windy City Production for our upcoming wedding and our experience with Katie and her team has been nothing but GREAT!! Katie is such a sweet person, and you can tell right away that she LOVES what she does! From our very first meeting, the moment we walked into her studio we felt such a welcoming vibe! She genuinely cares and gets to know her customers on a more personal level, after our meeting with Katie I was so happy that my fiancé had found Windy City Productions! She has been nothing but patient, and is quick to answer our emails about any questions we might have.

We are so happy that we chose the team from Windy City Productions for our daughter's wedding this past year. Chrissy and Corey had a beautiful day and Katie captured it all! The photos, the video and the entertainment during the reception were all perfect.

Katie was able to discreetly catch all of the wonderful moments during the ceremony and the reception. The photos taken near the Fox River in downtown St. Charles were stunning. They also took photos of the bride and groom on the golf course at Pheasant Run where the reception was held. It was a beautiful October day and the photos were gorgeous. Katie even stayed longer at the reception than we had originally contracted to make sure she didn't miss a thing. We received over 900 photos! The videos of the ceremony and the reception were beautiful. They captured everything! We are so thrilled to have the memories of the speeches and the dances! We have already watched it several times.

Our guests had a great time dancing throughout the evening. Sam did a great job introducing events of the evening and keeping people on the dance floor. He even played "Go Cubs Go" the moment the Cubs won the final game of the National League Championship. What a night to remember!

We could not have asked for a better day for Chrissy and Corey. Thank you to Windy City Productions for capturing all those memories. We would highly recommend their services for your wedding!

Used WCP for our photos and DJ. Sammy did an amazing job as our DJ and our photographs came out great. Would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. WCP also gives you rights to all the photos which I've heard horror stories from friends who went through other photographers.

We chose WCP for both photo and video at our wedding on 12/4 and we could not be happier with this decision. From the beginning, Katie made the entire process of planning the day's timeline/what kind of photos we wanted effortless. She was quick to respond to emails and phone calls and I never felt in the dark about anything at all. On our wedding day, they arrived promptly and were incredibly professional. They got all of the posed photos we wanted and then some. They truly do amazing work. I had emphasized not wanting to miss the party for too many family/romantic pictures and they kept their promise - I was able to enjoy more than half of the cocktail hour and we got even more family photos than we initially thought! And the service has been super fast - within 2 days we got some sneak peaks of photos and within 4 days we got an unbelievable video teaser! We've received numerous compliments on how they were both everywhere and nowhere at the same time -- nobody felt their view during the day was obstructed or compromised. I am just so glad I found them and that they were available for our day, and I cannot wait to see the rest of our pics and video. I could gush about them over and over. Anyone who is unsure, book Katie and Sam. Now. Seriously. You'll regret it if you don't!

UPDATE: Now that I received my video, I can't express my gratitude enough for this great company. I would recommend them to anyone. The videographer arrived on the wedding day -super nice, professional and pleasant, and as the day went on, you did not even notice he was there (this is what you want in anyone there to capture the event) I received the teaser video within a few days, and then the final video a few days after that. I realized after watching these just how present he was at every single aspect of the wedding - he captured everything PERFECTLY, and it is so well done. I cannot say enough good things about them. I was skeptical to hire a videographer I did not know (I've seen some bad ones on the internet), and this is my favorite vendor we used by FAR (and we used some really good, high end vendors). My husband and I watch the video every day and always find something new, I cannot believe he did such a great job of documenting our special day - he did not miss a thing and it is put together so nicely. 5 stars - and more if I could!

We had Windy City Production video our wedding. It was one of the best choices we made. Kathy was our videographer and she was FANTASTIC. She was very professional the day of our wedding, captured all the details and moments of our day, and we didn't even know she was there. She was helpful, attentive and did a beautiful job. Once we saw our trailer we had chills. The editing of our day was put together perfectly and brought tears to our eyes. We loved our choice to use WCP and think Kathy was amazing!

We used WCP as our Videographer for our wedding. Our experience started by talking with Katie over email. She is quick to respond and easy to communicate with. She answered all my questions, even when I asked the same thing twice, which as a bride you appreciate. Our wedding videographer was Kathy. She was the sweetest! We first had a phone interview with her (you can meet in person but we choose a phone meeting) and reviewed all the details of the day. I felt that she really understood what we were looking for and where we would be throughout the day, since we took her to 4 different locations! The day of she was VERY easy to work with, kind and professional. I'm not a person who likes to be in the spotlight and was worried about having a camera in my face all day but I NEVER felt that way. Most of the time I forgot she was there videoing me. Lastly when we got our final product, we loved it! Kathy edited it beautifully. We went back and forth many times about having a videographer at our wedding and now that our wedding is over and I have watched our video I am so, so, so happy we decided to hire Windy City Productions.

We are so happy that we found Katie and Sammy, for our daughter's wedding day. They were VERY professional and met all of our needs and questions. They were at the Venue WAY before we got there and were early to set things up and take photos and videos. The Photo Booth was so much fun and entertaining, our guests LOVED Sammy's D.J. skills and his voice, the dance floor was FULL the whole night. The finished product of our Video was amazing and we got so many compliments from our guests about how awesome Sammy the D.J. was. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible Windy City Production is, and more specifically Katie. From the moment we contacted them, they were such a joy to work with. Katie, made our day truly special. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and confident. My husband is not a big picture taker, and Katie made him have a blast! I did a boudoir shoot prior to me changing into my dress, and let me tell you, if you ever need a confidence booster, Katie is your girl! My mom unfortunately, got extremely sick the day of our wedding and ended up in the E.R. Katie, was the first person I saw besides all my bridesmaids, and while I was trying to keep it together, she made me feel so assured that everything would turn out great! She was much more than a photographer, she was a huge part in orchestrating our day, and she made it run so smoothly. She gave just the right amount of direction to capture the most stunning photos. She truly felt like part of our family and friends, which was so wonderful especially for my husband, because is a bit shyer. From start to finish, Windy City production was the BEST choice we made for our wedding day. By far would recommend them to anyone! Their DJ Austin did an awesome job, and his ‘bedside’ manor was everything you want in a DJ! Beautiful pictures! We wanted more natural/artistic pictures instead of the traditional portraits and they definitely delivered stunning photos. We had them take video of the ceremony and photos of the day. The price for both was very economical considering the quality of their products was top notch. My fiancé and I were super busy with work while wedding planning was in full swing and WCP made the process very easy and we definitely were in good hands. If I had to do it over again I would definitely choose to go with WCP again but instead of getting the basic photo book I would have gone with the premium one since they delivered such a beautiful product that I would never have the time to even think of doing myself. Bottom line; don’t be afraid to spend on your photos they are worth it!

We had our wedding on Saturday, June 25, 2016, and booked Windy City Production about 8-10 months in advance because of the quality of their photography and the style that we saw in their previous work, and because the package deals that they offered were within our budget. Sal from Windy City Production was our photographer, and Katie coordinated the planning with us. Katie and Sal were very well organized in the planning process and on the day of our wedding. Sal worked about 12 hours for our wedding, with a very positive and professional attitude. He stayed extra overtime because our dance party reception was still going on, and he had no problems with that. He was invisible during our ceremony, and took great shots. After that, he helped coordinate guests for the grand exit of the reception, and was patient for all of our family photos inside the Alice Millar Chapel on Northwestern Campus. After the ceremony, the photographer Sal went with us to the lighthouse in Evanston, IL, and the Shakespeare Garden on Northwestern Campus in Evanston, IL where he took some great photos as well. He gave us great direction, and had great poses for us. I forgot to direct him to take some photos of the guys without our jackets on. It was so hot, and we were in a hurry, so I wished I had remembered that, but besides my absent mindedness, nothing else was a problem with the entire process. Our reception photos were very candid as we were hoping for. The cropping/ editing process was wonderful as well. Overall, we are very pleased with our photography, and excited to have such well produced memories of our most special day of our lives so far. We would definitely recommend Windy City Production!

I hired Windy City Productions for my May 28, 2016 wedding and I must say it was one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning process. Katie and her team were not only professional, they went above and beyond to make sure they captured EVERYTHING...literally EVERYTHING.
I contacted Katie about a year before my wedding and after my meeting with her, I decided to look no further. She was very approachable and made me feel comfortable, very responsive to all my emails, and answered every question I had. Her prices were very affordable as well so I decided to book her and her team for photography and video.
On the day of the wedding, Katie and her team showed up on time, with a gift bag (which I thought was very thoughtful) and captured every moment. Throughout the day, she kept checking on myself and the groom to make sure we didn't need anything; our guests and wedding planner even commented on how impressed they were with her level of professionalism.
When we got our pictures and video, I was blown away. Katie executed exactly what we had discussed, the style of photography I wanted was exactly what she delivered and again, she captured EVERYTHING. Our video was PERFECT, I feel like I'm reliving the day all over again whenever I watch it. Everyone we have shared our pictures and video with have nothing to say but GREAT things. We have even gotten several inquiries on who did our photos and video, because of how great they turned out. I highly recommend Windy City Productions, I will book them for any major event I have in the future!

We had Windy City Productions capture our wedding day after hearing such great things from a few of our friends. Kathy was AMAZING. She called a week or so before the wedding to talk about the day of and what I wanted/should expect. On the day of the wedding Kathy was on time, she brought me a sweet gift (which was such a nice surprise) and she took charge right away. During the entire wedding Kathy was right there, capturing all of the little details, without standing out or getting in anyone's way. Katie and Melanie did a wonderful job photographing our wedding and reception. They made the entire planning process a breeze for us, and made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. We were scrambling a bit with our last minute wedding plans, and did not have a wedding coordinator to help us through the big day. Katie quickly offered to put together a schedule for our reception, and to help guide our guests through the night's events. WCP went above and beyond what we had asked of them, and made us and our guests feel so relaxed on our big day. The photographs turned out even more beautiful than we could have hoped for, and the final product was perfect! The team at WCP has such an artistic eye, and they captured every special moment in a gorgeous light. As a bonus, Katie offered to edit a few of our favorite honeymoon photos for us once we returned home. Windy City Productions captured our wedding on 5/7/16. They were truly a pleasure to work with! We used them for photo and video, as well as our DJ, who happens to be Katie's Husband :) I must say that having the DJ and Photo/Video crew know each other and work together really helped make the reception flow nicely. They were completely in sync and work together to make everything perfect. Katie is so creative and has such an eye for wedding photography. My husband and I aren't models and are not use to posing for so many pictures but they really made it not feel awkward at all. Katie even brought over a day of wedding present, so thoughtful!

Katie came armed with cameras, my pinterest wedding photo board printed out in hand, and even some cute chunky gold glitter to throw in pictures (which came out so cute!). We are very happy with our choice to go with Windy City and I would recommend them to any of my friends getting married. They are affordable, professional, and fun! I can't wait to get our album in the mail to display on the coffee table in our living room... its a surprisingly chic and beautiful album too with our names on the cover and initials embossed on the inside of the covers.

What an amazing addition to our wedding day! Throughout the whole wedding planning Katie was extremely helpful, kind, and thoughtful. She ensured that we had all of the shots we wanted and many we didn't even know we wanted! She arrived early, to our already early morning wedding, and immediately jumped into our crazy group of people. She kept our wedding party on track and organized, which isn't too easy with a group of 27! Katie helped fend off some of my bridal nerves and ensured that our day ran smoothly. There are several pictures that she took, that I didn't even notice her taking. She blended into the day and caught several great candid photos, as well as some absolutely amazing shots of my husband and I at sunset. She even went so far as to look at my wedding board on Pinterest to get the pictures that we wanted. Our wedding day would not have been the same without Katie there. Katie did an INCREDIBLE job photographing our wedding on August 8, 2015. When we first met with her she had such a charismatic personality that we instantly connected with. She spent time getting to know us, what we were looking for in our pictures, and kept in contact leading up to our wedding as I sent different samples of shots and wedding videos so she knew exactly the feel I was going for and let me tell you she NAILED it! Katie was so professional, showed up on time, if not a few minutes early, at my house for pre-ceremony pictures, as we were getting ready. She paid close attention to detail yet we hardly even knew she was there. She did a great job getting a wide variety of shots in the short amount of time before and after our ceremony. Although I love pictures, my biggest fear was being constantly yanked out of our reception for a picture to the point that I wouldn’t be able to soak it all in or standing out in the hot August sun for hours because we wouldn’t be able to nail the right pose, but the truth is it was nothing like that. My bridal party kept asking me where I found her because she was so amazing, moved quickly, was very professional, and knew exactly what she was doing and showed so much creativity. Katie and her crew blended into the crowd during the church ceremony and the reception, but managed to capture every shot possible, including our friend’s laughing hysterically at my brother in laws best man roast, my nephew and father sitting along the riverfront all unraveled during bridal shots, and all the excitement on the dance floor. Although I know that I will never be able to top my wedding day and the birth of my children as “the best day ever”, the day that I opened up the files to see all of the gorgeous shots from the wedding and as we watched our wedding video, it’ll definitely be a day I will never forget. Price and quality of work were not matched by any other photographer/videographer that I researched for my wedding. From the moment I contacted Windy City Productions (WCP), I knew it was the company we wanted to work with. Luckily for us, they were available. I contacted WCP about 2 months before my wedding; Katie addressed all of my concerns and questions. Simply put, Katie is very professional and the quality of her work is first-rate. We chose the Bride’s Bundle for photography and video (as well, as DJ). Aside from the great reviews and the quality of videos and pics online, I chose to work with WCP because they allowed me to keep the rights to my images so that I could print or upload as I wish. Many other companies charge extra for this service. From the moment Katie and Kathy (videographer) arrived to the venue, they went to work. I’m amazed at how they were able to take beautiful pictures without being in the way. Looking at my wedding pics, we asked ourselves “when did she take this?” LOL I didn’t’ have to worry about any details. The quality of the video and the hundreds of pictures are simply breathtaking. We were referred to Windy City Productions by a friend and my make-up artist around June. Our wedding was in September. I called and spoke with Katie and luckily our date was available. Katie sent me videos of previous clients. After watching them, we were pleased with the services. And the rest is history. On our wedding day, Melanie came and hour before to set up. She captioned every moment of the ceremony and specific parts of the reception. After editing was complete, we met up with Katie to watch the entire video. Katie is amazing! She was incredibly sweet and professional. I am so happy that she was our photographer. Our pictures turned out great! I would highly recommend her and the brides bundle with true sounds entertainment!

I used Windy City for my wedding day videography. Working with Katie was a delightful and pleasant experience from beginning to end. From the first meeting, to going over timeline and details, to final video edits; she was always there to answer my questions and make me feel at ease with any concerns that I had. On my wedding day, she arrived on time, and captured all of the moments of my day without standing out or getting in the way. I feel like that is very important with a videographer. She attended to all my needs and stayed for extra time than original discussed; however, it was almost as if I didn't even notice she was there. She also worked extremely well alongside my photographer. I couldn't be happier with my final cinematic video of my day! Her work is exceptional and I am still trying to figure out how she was able to summarize and add every important moment from my entire day perfectly in just 20 minutes. I absolutely love my video. I would recommend anyone to use Windy City for their wedding day video needs!

Kate was amazing. She was very sweet and patient with my whole group. The pictures came out great and really captured the day!! She also was hands on with my 3 year old daughter and got the most beautiful shots of her, even though she was running all over the place! Definitely recommend this photographer!

Windy City Production covered the wedding videography for out 8/8/15 wedding. Throughout the planning process Windy City Production was incredibly helpful in addressing my wedding video questions and took the time to understand the vision of what we wanted to capture. My total investment with Windy City Production was significantly less than the 2013 national average of $2,440. Windy City Production’s lead Videographer, Sam arrived early and was prepared. He captured all the details we had asked for and even more that I was pleased to see added to our video. Windy City Production has gone above and beyond the contracted terms we originally discussed. They even added an additional audio file for me after the first version was sent over. I know that our wedding video won't just be one of those videos that are thrown into the bottom of a dusty CD rack. Overall the quality of my wedding video is AMAZING and I would highly recommend them.

When searching for a photographer for your wedding, its tough. You want to chose the best but dont know where to start. When I stumbled on Katies website I was floored!!! Not just at her work but her honesty. Its that honesty that drew me to hire her for my wedding and I could not have been more pleased and at ease. She made the day so special for me and my husband. She was such a professional I was sad to let her go at the end of the night. I would recommend Windy city Production to anyone. The price did not compare to the work she did and how amazing she was. Best photographer and videographer in Chicago!!

My husband and I hired them to shoot (video) our wedding this past June in Chicago. I had already booked a photographer and decided afterwards that I wanted a video. If I had not already booked my photographer, I would have had Windy City Production do both my photos and video. Katie was not pushy and really wanted to know what we wanted out of our wedding video. She did not try to push a larger package or try to get us to get something we did not want. On the day of our wedding Sam and Kathy showed up on time, and were very unobtrusive. Kathy even took the lead in staging the suite with the bridal bags and shoes to get some great shots for the video. I was so happy that she did this because my photographer had no idea what he was doing.A few days after the wedding we received a link for our "teaser" video. The short video was great and we were so excited to get our other videos. Sam and Katie contacted me to find out what songs we would like in our videos. My fiance and I are not good at picking stuff like that out so we left that up to Windy City Production. A short time later, we received a link to our cinematic film to view and request edits. The video was absolutely wonderful. Sam and Kathy captured EVERY detail that I wanted captured. I wanted a few things changed in the cinematic video, nothing major just minor edits. Sam was happy to make the edits and set up a time for me to come view the full length video in their studio. Sam also showed me how I could take snapshots of the video and turn them into photographs since my photographer did not capture a lot of the details of the day. I HIGHLY recommend Windy City Production for anyone looking for wedding videographer. This was probably the best decision we made for our wedding. We spent over a year planning the wedding and it went by so fast. After your wedding you have a memory, some photos, and if you are smart an incredible video from Windy City Production.

My husband and I used these guys for our video service and couldn't be happier with our choice. Our videographer was wonderful and made us feel completely at ease and our video reflects it. They really strive to give you exactly what you are looking for. We would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! I just got married June 20, 2015 and am excited to share this review with you so that you will have a wonderful wedding too. Like every bride, I searched and searched and went through tons of reviews trying to find the right photographer that I could afford and trust to take great photos. I've read so many awesome reviews about Windy City Production before choosing them and can't agree more with the other reviews that they are truly awesome! I also had the wonderful opportunity of choosing the Brides Bundle Package which I HIGHLY recommend!! It includes an affordable rate of both Photography from Windy City and DJ services from True Sounds Entertainment. Jaime from Windy City Production did a phenomenal job with my engagement photos and we had so much fun taking the wedding photos recently. We had such a great time with Jaime, he made us feel very relaxed and comfortable to take photos and he is very creative and trustworthy. He also has such a great sense of humor, such positive energy and knowledge of what works best when it comes to photography. Katie from Windy City Productions (videography) is absolutely amazing!!!! From the moment we set up our first meeting over the phone for a face to face meeting she was so polite and professional. Once we got to the Aurora office she even gave us some things to do/see around the area as a courtesy. On the day of the wedding she showed up early and captured everything that we wanted, going above and beyond with a beautifully finished product. Their prices are extremely competitive for the amount of quality that you get. We couldn't be happier and more pleased!!! Katie is very passionate about what she does, and it shows in her finished product. She was energetic, and offered ideas throughout the entire process. She was always very easy to get a hold of and very communicative (which is always important to any bride). We would reccommend them to anyone. Thanks again, Katie!!! You're the best!

Katie is AMAZING! From the first email exchange, Katie was responsive and professional. She was more then willing to set up times for phone conversations and a face to face in studio meeting, which were both important to us. She had great ideas for our engagement pictures and really listed to what we wanted. She was able to make us feel completely comfortable and guided us through the various portraits. Both, my fiancee and I, LOVED our engagement photos and we highly recommend Windy City Production to everyone who needs engagement/wedding related photography.

My photographer was punctual, fun, and creative and was great at guiding my wedding party, family, and guests for my specific portraits. She was like part of the family. Overall the quality of my wedding photos are Amazing.
