Excellent Service and Result

My fiancé designed my engagement ring. It's one of a kind, has butterflies on the sides of the center diamond, it just sparkles! Also, there are leaves engraved in the band. He knows I love nature and created a ring that is perfect for me! I would absolutely recommend Windy City Diamonds to anyone planning to propose. We will definitely be working with them on our wedding bands as well.

Exactly what we were hoping for

Huge selection and very friendly!

They are very helpful and extremely friendly. They even offer the best pricing on jewelry as well and the quality is amazing. I asked them to create a custom engagement ring and matching wedding band and they exceeded my expectations!. This is the only place that I would ever recommend to my friends and family.

Victor was amazing!

Victor was the jeweler we worked with and he was absolutely amazing! He was so personable and super understanding about the whole process. He walked up through everything, and made a video explaining the bridal choices (because brides always have a tougher choice). He was very flexible when I (the bride) changed my mind on what kind of ring I wanted and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. Windy City Diamonds was the best choice you can make for purchasing your wedding bands!

When my now husband and I were originally looking for engagement rings 2 years ago, we went to a place on Jeweler’s Row that required an appointment well in advance. Being that we both took a day off during the week to look (my husband worked weekends at the time), we were kind of discouraged after that. However we decided to check out Windy City in hopes that they didn’t require an appointment. Luckily they didn’t and were more than attentive! We worked with Denise who sat with us for over an hour looking at various rings and then coming up with a custom design based off of the one we liked. I️ really wanted a custom made ring but didn’t think regular jewelers did that, so when Denise told me it could be done I was ecstatic! The whole process was super easy and VERY fast! We were getting engaged back in my hometown and had a deadline for it to be done, and they were able to make that happen! Denise also gave us a tip-have the ring shipped to Pittsburgh rather than pick it up to save on tax! So we did that and the ring arrived the day we got to Pittsburgh!

We had a long engagement so we weren’t back in Windy City until 2 years later to do our bands. That was also a super easy process! They again custom made my band to match and my husband picked out his ring. As a wedding present for my mom, I wanted to get her a cross. Denise showed me a book of them and was able to get the cross for a lot less than what the book was saying!

We absolutely LOVED Denise and the service we got from Windy City! Not only are they reasonable in their prices (work within your budget), they are not salesy AT ALL! They are actually the complete opposite in that they are super honest in everything, from how a ring would look with a certain diamond or design or if a specific type of metal is good and will last; I asked about tungsten for my husband’s ring and she told us that most companies won’t honor their tungsten pieces because the metal is so brittle and breaks! Great company!

I love love love Windy City Diamonds. My husband purchased my engagement ring there, and it is a custom-made pearl ring in a diamond setting that has required a little bit of extra attention as pearl rings are more delicate than we initially realized. Windy City has been so accommodating when I've had problems with that ring, and were great to work with on our wedding bands as well. When we went to buy our wedding bands, we found out that Windy City does a complimentary polish of the engagement ring in advance of the wedding, so we took advantage of that service. Everything was fast, well-done and communicative. We will continue to go back for all our future jewelry purchases.

Fred was so patient with us, and after visiting others on Jewelers Row, we felt Windy City offered the best value. Plus, they made sure we had our rings in hand by the time we left the country to get married.

I cannot possibly describe what a wonderful experience my fiance and I have had working with Gary at Windy City Diamonds on my engagement ring and our wedding bands. Gary was able to take our obscure ideas and mold them into custom-designed rings that were even better than imagined! He is the most-friendly, non-pushy, knowledgeable jeweler I have ever encountered. It is obvious that his number one goal is to make the customer happy from design, sizing, engraving, pricing, etc. We will definitely be coming back for all of our future jewelry purchases (hopefully many more diamonds from my husband-to-be, hint, hint).

My husband had my engagement ring custom made at Windy City Diamonds, and they were the best of the best from start to finish. My ring is beautiful, and he was so pleased with his experience. I then went back to have a custom wedding band made to fit, and they couldn't have been more patient with me. I love both, and I fully plan to use them again.

I have been SO impressed with Windy City Diamonds. Initially, my husband took my engagement ring there to get some diamonds replaced because they were cloudy (the ring was NOT purchased there). Since then we have gone back to purchase our wedding bands, other jewlery that I had that needed repair, and a diamond ring that was gifted to me for my wedding that needed resizing. Every visit was quick, easy, and a pleasure. They take their work very seriously and I trust them with my most treasured pieces of jewlery.

Mari is AMAZING, kind, and will not upsell you. I highly highly recommend them as I will never go to another jewler again.

Windy City Diamonds (WCD) provided first class service from the very outset. Initially, I stopped by WCD with my girlfriend to view various engagement ring options. After viewing several options, I found the ring style that caught her eye the most. Victor Gomez was extremely helpful. He educated us on the 3 C's of diamond rings and answered all of our questions. Over the next three months, I met with Victor to finalize the purchase of my engagement ring (usually every Friday during my lunch break). The prices were very reasonable and competitive. Not only did Victor help me pick the perfect ring, he also helped me plan the my proposal.

My fiancee was blown away on our special day! She LOVED the custom ring design!!! The day after the proposal, we stopped by WCD to share our great news with Victor. He cleaned the ring and ensured it fit properly.

This is the largest decision people will ever make. When your time comes, go to the best jewelry store in America! I will return in the coming months to purchase our wedding bands. Please ask for Victor... You will not be disappointed..

We got my fiancee's wedding bands here. He wanted two different bands, one darker and one lighter and we worked with Denise. She was so warm and welcoming, not pushy at all. The rings came a day earlier than promised and engraved perfectly.

I would recommend doing business here and look for Denise! Even though we didn't purchase my engagement ring with them, she cleaned my ring and offered me a cleaning cloth. I will take my rings back after the wedding to get the engagement ring and band engraved with them.

Jim with Windy City Diamonds helped us get the very best price for our diamond. He was wonderful to work with and was straightforward with prices, commissions, etc. that other jewelers tried to hide from us. We went back to him for our wedding bands and were both incredibly happy with the product. Garry at Windy City Diamonds made my engagement ring shopping a very enjoyable experience. I had scheduled an appointment with Garry through email a couple weeks before. When I made it into the store, I found him to be genuinely personable. He didn't operate like he was on a time crunch, so I didn't feel rushed at all. I liked talking with him about the diamond business, which I found fascinating. It was a very educational experience that added to the research I had done beforehand. I had brought a friend who was also interested in looking at diamonds and sharing the experience. Garry didn't mind having him there and answered all of his questions too.

Based on what I had specified in my email, he was totally prepared for my visit. We worked within my specified price range, and he showed me exactly what I was getting for each price break. He showed me how to hold the loupe and described what I was looking for in each gem. For the settings, he showed me 6 that fit my description. He had me pick my favorite out of those 6, went away with that one, and came back with another set of 6 that were like the first favorite. Through this method, we zeroed in on the perfect setting.

He described the price breakdown very clearly during the financial portion of the purchase. I felt comfortable the whole time I was there, as he reiterated points that I didn't fully understand. Since I wanted the ring that day, he had me come back after a couple hours. Of course, I got to see the ring in it's entirety before buying, so I knew exactly what I was getting. The presentation was stunning. It is indeed a very beautiful ring, just as he said. My fiance loves it, and all of our girl-friends get wide eyed and pat me on the back for a job well done. She's had the ring for 5 months now, and it's still as beautiful as ever.

Do yourself a favor, and shop Windy City Diamonds! They surpassed my expectations

When my husband went looking for my engagement ring, he was met with a lot of skeezy jewelers. Until he found Windy City. I wanted an emerald ring with no diamonds, and lots of jewelers wanted to upsell us. Not Windy City. They were helpful and gave us exactly what we wanted for a price we were comfortable with. We were more than happy to go back for the wedding rings.

THEY DID IT AGAIN! I can't say enough about JIM at Windy City!
I just picked up my wedding band from Jim over the weekend and it is STUNNING! He custom made it to fit my current band to the T!
I had all the upmost trust in Jim and low and behold it was PERFECT! My fiance has to go pick up his wedding band. Jim will also custom make it for him. You may think custom make, $$$$ Think again! It's not.
Check it out! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I wrote a novel of a review months back. Jim deserves a whole book of great things to say about him! Very HONEST, trust worthy, loyal and always dependable! I went in almost every store and drove myself CRAZY. Please do yourself a favor and make it your first and last stop!

I can't say enough about my WONDERFUL experience with JIM! I will start off my telling you that I am a virgo, therefore VERY and I mean VERY detailed and also EXTREMELY picky! With that being said my great fiance was nice enough (love him!) to allow me to narrow it down to a few diamonds. When I found a couple I would leave it up to him to still pick "the one" so there was at least some surprise in it! GREAT IDEA to the men who are looking...... think about it! You're finance is going to wear this ring forever, so might was well allow her to love it as much as you would, ecspecially becuase she would be the one wearing it.... Now don't get me wrong. My fiancee and were together for just about 5 years so we knew where we were both headed. Now if it's a total surprise, then boys you may want to keep it that way....
Okay so on with my story...... I spent at least THREE full days off of wabash, jewelers row, in Chicago. I went on the hunt by myself. It was fun but exhausting. After doing research and after seeing a few diamonds I pretty much got an idea of what I ended up liking. Therefore I was able to narrow it down with my specifics.
BOYS... and girls, LET ME HELP YOU MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER! DON'T DO WHAT I DID AND WASTE THREE FULL DAYS OF BEING EXHUASTED AND CONFUSED! NOT TO MENTION DEALING WITH SOME SNEAKY SALES PEOPLE THERE! NOT ALL WERE BAD, BUT MANY HAD TRICKS UP THEIR SLEEVES!
It was my third and final day. I was frusterated, confused, and tired. Not to mention I have a fear of the EL train and walking under it. Yes, I'm a dork.
I found a couple along the way but I was narrowing it down to 3-4. I haven't found exactly what it was that I was looking for yet and therefore I didn't think it was possible. So I figured the two that I found I would be OKAY with......
I don't know what it was but I remember walking by WINDY CITY DIAMONDS before and I don't know why but I didn't go into that store.
My third day I was trying to rush but something told me to go in there and check it out. It was my LAST and final store. I walked in and saw JIM. He was busy assisting another customer. There was another girl in there also busy. It was a good sign to have people in there store so I waited for a bit. JIM was then finished and greeted me with a smile. I told him that I was on a mission to look for a specific diamond. He said to me, wow you know exactly what you want. He laughed.
When I gave him my citeria, he stopped me for a minute and said to me "Don't tell me your price range". I was thinking WHAT?? JIM said you never want to tell a sales person your price range. If you are in a $10,000 price range and their ring is only $8500, what happens is people end up marking it up. So if the ring was $8500, your price would be $9800!
Get what I'm saying????.......... .

JIM said give me a minute.... he went in back and pulled out a diamond.
He even told me this isn't exactly what your looking for. It was pretty but again not exactly what I was looking for.
JIM didn't even take that much of my time. He said give me your phone number. I"ll call you when I find something.
Do you know how many people I gave my phone number to????
Remind you I went through at least 35 DIFFERENT STORES!
JIM was the ONLY one that called me back! He said I have it! This is the PERFECT ring for you!
Next couple of days went by and I was on my way to see it. I was SO excited. He shipped it from NYC.
I saw it and I had a smile on my face from ear to ear and I was glowing!
It was HUGE and of course BEAUTIFUL! I didn't even think it was possible and JIM took the time and went out of his way to find me my PERFECT ring! THANK YOU VERY MUCH JIM! I've gone in that store a few times and every time I have I see the same faces. So there if defentily stability there! EVERYONE OF THEIR STAFF MEMBERS WAS PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE!!!!!!
JIM seriously has gone the extra mile for me! When my finace met JIM, he also liked how friendly and accomodating JIM was! The buying process went so smooth.
I can go on and on but I think you've got the point.
DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR, ENJOY LIFE AS IT"S TOO SHORT. I DID ALL THE RUNNING AROUND and TRUST ME I DID!
IF YOU WANT AN EASY PROCESS AND A FUN EXPERIENCE ALONG WITH SOMEONE YOU CAN TRUST & GET ALONG WITH......

GO SEE "JIM" AT WINDY CITY DIAMONDS! I ASSURE YOU WILL HAVE THE BEST EXPERIENCE AND ALSO A MEMORIBLE ONE!
THEY HAVE MY FIANCE AND I AS LIFE LONG CUSTOMERS!
WE WILL BE GETTING OUR BANDS SOON AND I CAN"T WAIT TO SEE TO SEE WHAT JIM WILL COME UP WITH!

Gary at Windy City is fantastic - my new husband has already given his card to a few guys he knows who might need some jewelry in the future. We brought a family diamond to be set here for my engagement ring and his quote was significantly less that at other jewelry stores we'd contacted - and Gary was so patient while we tried on about every ring in the place. I love my rings!

Best prices around and yet quality and service are top notch as well! Loved working with Meredith - got our wedding bands as well as mother of the bride's gift which was made out of an antique heirloom ring. They were helpful and patient and we loved the outcomes!

My husband and I amazingly found our perfect wedding bands here at a great price without even having to resort to custom designs. Sarah was awesome to work with -- enthusiastic and knowledgeable without being overbearing. They did a great job communicating the timelines with us, then when his ring didn't fit they quickly got the correct size for us. They even changed the backing on my wedding earrings quickly and at a good price. Love them!

Windy City Diamonds did a great job with my engagement ring and our wedding bands. My husband designed the engagement ring himself and they were very flexible working with him. Our wedding bands came out great too. Very friendly service.

Absolutely the best place to get your rings, especially if you have a custom design. I continue to get daily compliments about how beautiful and unique looking my ring is. They were so personable and so honest compared to all the other brokers on Diamond Row and they walked us through every step of the process from picking out the diamonds to trying on the wax mold. I can not imagine having anything else on my finger for the rest of my life!

I had a custom ring made at windy city and they were very accommodating! I also had 2 bands made to fit my ring. I could not be happier with the style and quality of my ring. Fastest service ever

I went into Windy City diamonds because of the great reviews! Komal Dagaria assisted me with getting a family heirloom resized and my wedding was fast approaching. She was able to do the service in under a week and her price came well under her estimate. She was friendly, professional and I would go back to her time and time again!!!

My fiance worked with Victor to design my unique and stunning custom ring. My fiance had some very particular ideas of what he wanted my ring to be and Victor and the team worked to make his vision a reality and within budget. I couldn't be happier with my ring.

We were so happy with my engagement ring, we've gone back to Victor help us design and make custom wedding bands.

Excellent jewelers in Chicago. We worked with Keith who really took his time to explain everything to us about our bands that we purchased. He had my band specially made to fit with my engagement ring and it turned out beautiful. Everyone in the store was very friendly and accommodating.

This is by far the best place in Chicago to get your rings. The workers are not there to rip you off. They work with your budget and are very responsive to what you desire. They will not talk bad about the other shops in Chicago (seriously..I had so many bad experiences with other places that were out just to get my money and talked bad about all the other shops in chicago). They are very real and very honest...two qualities very hard to find on jeweler's row in Chicago.

Overall, my husband and I are very pleased with our experience at Windy City Diamonds. We picked out the rings we wanted on another site and Windy City was able to replicate them almost exactly, and even added some customization. The only downside was that we didn't always get quick responses with email when trying to get information and scheduling pick-up dates. Still, our rings are gorgeous and we got a great value!

I was able to take in a design I found from a retailer and make it my own at Windy City Diamonds. The team is very friendly and great to work with. Value and flexibility were rated slightly under 5 according to my fiance.

This jeweler did a great job re-sizing my wedding band and engagement ring. Also, I purchased my husband's wedding band from them. Very pleased with end product.

We worked with Komal at Windy City diamonds, and she helped us to design and create exactly the ring we wanted. We had a tight schedule, and they worked very hard to stay on track with us.

We were going for a less traditional sapphire ring with diamond accents and an antique look, and she helped us create exactly that, while staying within our budget. She also was honest about where we should spend extra money, and what things we could sacrifice to make sure we did not overspend. I truly appreciated their candidness and honestly, and willingness to work with us until we got exactly what we wanted. The few times we had any misunderstandings or delays, some our fault, they fixed the problem and in some cases gave us discounts to make sure we remained happy. I would definitely recommend them if you want something more personalized, though they do have a huge stock of pre-designed rings that were also very beautiful.

They assisted my husband in designing the engagement ring and us in designing the our wedding bands. They are great at customizing rings and we could not be happier with the results. Both my engagement ring and wedding band receive compliments all of the time.
Our contact person was Denise Ferro. Denise was very knowledgeable and gave us great advice. Once we had her attention during our appointments we received great service.
That being said, we frequently would not receive call backs or return emails in a timely manner from Denise. She would state that she was "too busy" to return calls and was planning on calling later. She frequently would give us a time frame for completion of tasks and not be able to maintain that time frame. These were for simple services however if she stated 2hrs it would always require more time.

Overall the rings are great and I cannot say enough that they turned out beautifully, but I felt very frustrated with the service we received.

My husband bought my engagement ring and wedding band here. My rings have diamonds on the side. Within 6 months from wearing my wedding ring 5 diamonds have fallen out. I have taken care of my rings and the store refuses to fix them. I definitely will not be referring my friends and family here.
