All of my wedding guests couldn’t stop raving about how AMAZING this cake tasted! Going back for seconds and thirds became the staple. It is definitely worth the cost- and looks just as beautiful as it tastes! We are so happy we went with this lovely place! -

Paula knocked our cake out of the park. Our tasting was easy – her cakes were delicious and really blew us away. She was able to execute our exact vision and worked with different ideas we tossed around early on about what we wanted our wedding cake to look like as well as flavor combinations.
When it came to the actual cake, she nailed it! It was truly the perfect amount and very little was left which is a true testament to her cakes. Her chocolate was top notch and the marionberry almond cake was perfection – tasted even better on our wedding day than at our tasting. We highly recommend Windflower cakes if you’re getting married in the Hood River area. -

So happy with how our cake from Windflower turned out. We wanted a Naked Cake that would be decorated with flowers and Paula delivered exactly that! We went with blueberry/lemon and had so many comments from guests about how good it was! -

I wish I could just feed you my wedding cake instead of writing a review, that is how amazing the cake was! The day after my wedding, my entire family stood hunched over the kitchen island eating leftover cake like complete animals. I can't wait for our one-year anniversary to eat the topper! Paula was so sweet, easy to work with, and has clearly perfected her trade. -

Our entire experience with Paula was great! She met with us at the shop that housed our florist, so it was convenient to set up back-to-back consultations since we live out of town. All of the cake options were delicious, so it was a hard choice! We went with the classic vanilla strawberry because we felt it complimented our summer BBQ wedding. We had rave reviews from our guests about the cake! Not only did it taste delicious, it was beautiful as well. Simple and lovely, exactly what we wanted! -

I highly recommend Windflower Cakes! We just had our wedding and not only did our cake turn out beautiful but it tasted amazing. My husband is not a big sweets or cake person, and he enjoyed it! Paula's cakes are soooo good. We got to taste a few of them and each one was delicious. The cake she made for the day of the wedding was exactly what we asked for - simple, beautiful, and delicious. My one regret is not eating more of it! -

World class quality in with hometown charm
Paula was great to work with- bad winter weather kept us from making our tasting appointments multiple times, but she was always glad to reschedule. Her choices were all fantastic and very hard to choose from. The cake was delivered and set up as promised, and it was even better than the pictures. The cake was amazing and the left overs didn't last long. -

All the cakes we tired were so delicious! Leading up to the wedding, Paula was extremely flexible and helpful in figuring out guest attendance and cake size. Everyone raved about the cakes saying they were the best wedding cakes they had ever tried! -

We cannot express how much we love Paula and her cakes! We love that she also uses great organic ingredients. We could not choose just one flavor, so we had 3! We especially love the lemon blueberry and vanilla berry. She is such a joy to work with, we recommend her to everyone! She is so sweet and we ended up having the perfect amount of cake! It could not have came out any better. We love using her now for all our birthday occasions- she is a family favorite! We highly recommend and look forward to working with her more! -

I am so thankful that my husband and I chose Windflower Cakes for our wedding cake vendor. When we first met Paula she was so sweet and welcoming! I knew right off the bat I would love working with her. She was quick to respond to phone calls or emails and easy to communicate with. My husband isn’t typically a big cake fan, but we were both impressed with how delicious all of it was; it was the best cake we’ve ever tasted. Paula was great in allowing us to have two tiers in one flavor and the third tier another flavor (we both had a favorite and couldn’t choose!) When I saw our cake on our wedding day I couldn’t get over how gorgeous it looked, and everyone who ate it commented on how amazing it was. I highly recommend Windflower Cakes! -

Paula was wonderful and convenient. It was great to work with someone local. He place was easy to get to and felt comfortable because her bakery was in her home. She offered us tea, showed us previous cakes she had made, and let us try samples. We chose vanilla with strawberry creme fraiche. There was no cake to take home, everyone loved it. It was also beautiful and simply designed as expected. Last, I enjoyed her easy going attitude. We didn't speak often, but I always felt confident she had everything handled. On the day of the wedding I was so busy I didn't get to see the cake prior. She and the florist coordinated without me to make sure Paula had nice cuts of the wedding flowers as decorations and the finished product was lovely. Thank you so much Paula for contributing to our magical day. -
Taylor Sent on 08/21/2018Paula was great!! She was easy to work with and has some great cake stands to pick from. The cake itself tastes amazing, so delicious and full of fresh flavor. We went with the chocolate blackberry and vanilla with lemon and blueberry. They were both so good. A lot of our guests tried both flavors and loved both of them. We even made sure to order extra to have leftover cake to freeze!! I can now attest that the frozen cake is so good!! Thanks Paula for the amazing cake!!!!

I dreamed of multiple tiered cakes that were perfect, lightly sugar dusted, naked almond cake with Marionberry creme fraiche (I really dislike normal frosting) and it turns out this kind of thing is her specialty. People came up to me at the reception JUST to comment on the cake. She assembled our cake on site and it was amazingly moist and the filling was light and remnisciemt of the northwest. Everything we could have dreamed of.

Lisa Sent on 06/08/2016It was important to us to support as many women owned business as we could in addition to finding Oregon businesses that supported marriage equality. Paula at Windflower Cakes makes the most delicious cakes we've ever had with fresh, local and organic whenever possible ingredients and was excited to help us create a dream wedding cake. She gave us personal attention and time during our tasting in her private kitchen and was up for the adventurous task of having a 4 tiered cake made up of many flavors: 8 inch almond cake filled with coconut butter cream, 10 inch chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse, and hazelnut praline butter cream and the bottom layer, a 12 inch vanilla cake filled with raspberry preserves & crème fraîche, and the top "anniversary" layer made up of all 3 flavors! It was simple, elegant and beautiful.
Decorated with our custom wedding topper and finished with flowers from Lucy's Informal Flowers. She also made us custom chocolate-peanut butter truffles, marionberry jam crumb cake squares, and salted caramel chocolate chip cookies. Paula had worked with our venue, Mt. Hood Organic Farms as well as our florist before, making it all a very smooth ride indeed. Everything was gone by the end of the night and people could not stop talking about our wedding cake, especially the vanilla with raspberry preserves and crème fraîche.
If you are having a wedding in Oregon or in the Gorge and you want everyone to remember the organic, local and delicious flavors of your wedding cake, Windflower Cakes is absolutely **THE** place to go!!
