My husband and I got married at Willowdale on 2/13/26. This estate is a magical place. We knew as soon as we toured that this was where we wanted to get married. The grounds are gorgeous, the estate is immaculate, and its just beautiful. Our true winter wonderland wedding went off without a hitch. Jordan, our coordinator, was amazing and I never felt like she wasn't listening to what we envisioned our wedding to be. I was thrilled to let her handle the tiny details of getting things set up and never worried about anything once she took over. The food was incredible, the cookies were amazing, and we had the best night of our lives. I was so happy that they still had the holiday lights up outside because it just made the winter wonderland feeling so much more magical. Love love love Willowdale and the Team there; thanks for making our wedding amazing! -

Only great things to say about Willowdale, the place where I married my partner of 12 years. A truly stunning place in a beautiful part of the world. They coordinated all the swirling parts of this thing with total alacrity. A masterclass. I truly cannot speak highly enough of this place and these folks. Best day of my life. All love.

We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding!! From the very beginning, the communication with the team was responsive and clear, which alleviated any stress and just let us focus on the fun stuff! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning details like the beautiful wood, stone, and stained glass accents that makes it feel like a little castle in the woods. Our guests have not stopped raving about the incredible food, even 3 months later! I would say the top 3 reasons we chose the venue (and reasons we loved it during and after as well) were the amazing food (we are big foodies!!), the intimate fairytale castle in the woods feeling (like a highly elevated romantic backyard fairytale wedding!), and the benefit of less decisions (so much decision fatigue in wedding planning, and Willowdale has so many in house options, including catering, that we really felt we could handle it ourselves even while both working full time out of state). Julia, our venue coordinator, was stellar - she helped us with all the decor drop-off and eased any wedding worries we had along the way. The entire team kept everything running so smoothly and on schedule, without a single hitch. We loved every moment--10/10 no notes!!!! -

Do yourself a favor and BOOK WILLOWDALE ESTATE FOR YOUR WEDDING!!!! My husband and I got married on June 8, 2025 and we cannot rave enough about our experience! Even now, 3 months later, we still receive comments from guests on how beautiful our wedding was and how impressed people were with the smoothness of the day and the delicious food! As a bride who was initially getting overwhelmed by the wedding planning process, Willowdale and their team helped calm my nerves and made things as easy and straightforward as possible. They gave wonderful recommendations about vendors along the way as well.
Shoutout to our day of coordinator, Julia, who was THE BEST. She helped our vision come to life and made our day go smoothly from start to finish. Julia seemed to know exactly what my husband and I needed throughout the day without us even asking! Thanks to Julia, our day went flawlessly. Her attention to detail and professionalism was top notch!
Not only is the estate itself absolutely gorgeous but the Willowdale team is phenomenal and made our wedding the best day of our lives! From day 1 of touring Willowdale Estate, we knew we wanted to get married there. The charm and beauty of the estate are second to none. There aren’t many venues like it that you and guests spend time inside the venue! The staff is such a well-oiled machine, and takes care of all the details. We were so lucky to work with Jordan, our wedding coordinator. She took care of every detail and vision we wanted well in advance so we didn’t have to worry about anything! The value of what we paid was completely worth it. Everyone keeps raving about the food, the space, and the overall atmosphere. The wedding day was so smooth and in order, we were able to be completely present and enjoy the day! You can’t go wrong having your event here!! -

Our wedding at Willowdale Estate was nothing short of amazing, and it was all thanks to the incredible team and their unwavering commitment to perfection. From our very first visit to the final dance, the experience was seamless, professional, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice.
We toured several venues before finding Willowdale, and from the moment we arrived, we knew it was something special. No other place made us feel as welcome, understood, and genuinely cared for as this one did. We left feeling not only excited but confident that we were in the right hands.
That seamless support continued with our incredible wedding coordinator, Julia. To say Julia was amazing would be an understatement. She was the calm, organized, and attentive force that brought our entire vision to life. No detail was too small, and she handled every aspect of our day with grace and precision. Julia managed the timeline and all the vendors perfectly, ensuring the entire day ran smoothly and that we were able to be fully present and soak in every moment of our wedding day without a single worry. She is an absolute treasure!
And the food! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. A huge thank you to Chef Benny and his culinary team for creating such an exquisite menu. From the hors d'oeuvres to the spectacular main courses, the dishes were a true highlight of the reception. Chef Benny’s talent and passion were evident in every single bite and truly elevated the entire celebration.
The venue's layout worked perfectly. The reception under the main tent was lovely; it felt elegant and was spacious enough for all our guests, dinner, and dancing. The new Coach House suite was a great space to get ready, and adding the Bourbon Bar was a unique feature that was a definite hit with our guests.
Willowdale Estate is a stunningly beautiful venue, but it's the people who make it truly special. The tremendous service we received from start to finish was unparalleled. We cannot recommend Willowdale Estate highly enough. Thank you to Anna, Julia, Chef Benny, and the entire staff for giving us the most perfect and unforgettable day of our lives! -

I truly mean it when I say our wedding was the best day of my life so far. Julia was an amazing coordinator- that’s an understatement too. She was so supportive and put all of our worries at ease, especially as we were coming from across the country week of for the wedding. From day one touring the venue a year and a half ago to just two months ago- the entire staff was so supportive and responsive. Week of they were all hands on deck and we felt prioritized and heard. Day of was absolutely magical. Julia made it all come together seamlessly with the help of the amazing crew. The food, kindness of the staff, beauty of the venue and the magic in all of the behind the scenes that made all our dreams come true truly made our wedding so special to us. I wish we could get married again here- it was beyond our wildest dreams and I am so thankful for the amazing staff! Thank you! -

I can't say enough good things about Willowdale. As a bride, I had no idea what I was doing. I had no idea how to plan the day, pick my vendors, or even make a timeline of events. Their team helped me every step away and took away all the stress that I kept hearing about from other brides. They were EXTREMELY accommodating, especially after a timeline mix up on my part. Also, the food was amazing. My guests are still raving about it. Julia specifically was so amazing. She made everything feel like the easiest thing in the world, even when it probably wasn't. We got married in late October this year and we had the most amazing experience with the Willowdale and our event coordinator, Julia D’Agostino. From our initial tour of the venue, getting a nice thank you in the mail after the tour, to booking our date and having someone on the team answer my billion questions every other week it was a great experience.
When Julia was assigned to us as our day of coordinator in the weeks prior to the wedding, we felt so very fortunate. Julia was always so responsible and reliable. In our wedding prep meeting, she provided us with solid recommendations. When we came in all frazzled to the stuff drop off the week before the event, Julia was so relaxed and had such a "can do" attitude.
During the wedding day, Julia was also always there. She pulled us aside and brought us a plate of apps during our cocktail hour, she reminded us to eat during the dinner, and at the end of the day, she was there to wish us well and take a final pic as everyone else had left.
100% recommend the Willowdale for the busy bride, like myself, or the one who has the time to plan. Our day was flawless thanks to Julia and the Willowdale team and we got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on how beautiful it was. Best day ever!

Willowdale Estate was the perfect wedding venue, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! It was the first venue we toured, and it set such a high bar that nothing else compared. The booking process was simple, everything was exactly as advertised, and the events team was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions quickly and making the planning process so much easier, even when we made last-minute decisions. The tasting experience was also fantastic—it really helped us finalize our food choices and was a great opportunity to see the space again and envision our day coming together. Willowdale also had an amazing list of preferred vendors, and we’re so glad we trusted their recommendations for our DJ, florist, lighting, and hair and makeup.
A special shoutout goes to Jeannine, our day-of coordinator, who was truly the best. Jeannine was everything we could have hoped for: professional, reassuring, organized, and always ready with thoughtful input when we needed it. Her calm demeanor and expertise made us feel completely relaxed leading up to the big day because we knew she had every detail covered. She truly went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly, and we couldn’t have done it without her.
We’ve received endless compliments on the stunning beauty of Willowdale Estate, the incredible food, and—most of all—the delicious cookies! We’re so glad we chose this venue—ask for Jeannine to be your coordinator! -

This day was a FAIRYTALE for my husband and I. Truly the venue of our dreams, with the team to match. So many guests to this day tell us it was the best wedding food they've ever had - and we fully agree! The estate is so intimate yet huge - so many cool little nooks for our guests to explore. We couldn't have had the incredible experience we did without the amazing team there, especially our wedding coordinator, Jeannine! She was such a pro - flawlessly executing our day and all of our requests. Not one piece of decor we dropped off was out of place, and we had a decent amount of DIY! She kept the day moving on a tight timeline (per our request) so we could get to the dancing/party ASAP! 10/10 no notes. Book this place immediately. -

We had my shower here in June 2024 and the space was so perfect! The food was amazing (we elected to do a brunch). The staff were so friendly and accommodating and helped my mother to plan the event. They helped us make meal selections, make decor recommendations, and plan out the flow of the event. The property was so gorgeous as well! -

We had our wedding at the Willowdale in early August and are still on cloud nine and absolutely blown away by what a perfect day it was! The Willowdale was the first venue we looked at, and as soon as we arrived we knew it was the place we wanted to have our special day. Every venue we looked at after just didn't come close! Not only was it breathtaking and gorgeous, our interactions with the staff made us know this was a great place. It felt like anytime we mentioned to someone we were getting married there, they would say a wedding they had attended there was one of the best they've ever been to, or they had heard fabulous things about them. From start to finish, working with the Willowdale team, including our coordinator, Emily, was seamless. Their level of experience and organization was top notch. On the day of, Emily, Kitty, and Ally were on top of every detail, making sure we were all comfortable and had what we needed. The level of attentiveness was incredible - from monitoring the weather and potential for rain, to making sure the entire wedding party stayed hydrated during photos on such a hot day, to helping me with a minor dress crisis, the level of service was truly unmatched. Everything about the day was absolutely perfect and a million times better than we ever could have dreamed. Hearing from so many of our guests about how it was one of the best weddings they've been to and how incredible the venue was, from the space, to the food, to the service, it made us so incredibly happy we had our wedding at the Willowdale. Our Dream Winter Wedding at Willowdale Estate
Our winter wedding at Willowdale Estate was a dream come true, and we owe it all to the amazing team there. From the moment we began planning, Jeannine, our coordinator, made us feel like we were her top priority. Her patience, kindness, and genuine care shone through every step of the way.
Jeannine truly listened to our needs and went above and beyond to cater to them. We had some very specific allergy concerns, and she made sure the chef was fully aware of our requirements, which we deeply appreciated. Her creative ideas for using our decor and helping us realize our vision were exactly what we needed.
As the wedding day approached, Jeannine and her team provided a fantastic timeline that kept everything running smoothly. The portal they used was a game-changer, letting us select our food, design our layout, and handle seat assignments effortlessly. This level of organization made a world of difference.
On our wedding day, Willowdale Estate’s team made everything perfect. Jeannine even arranged for us to have some food in our own room right after the ceremony, so we could steal a quiet moment together. It was a thoughtful touch that meant so much to us.

Incredible venue & detail oriented staff
“Incredible venue” “Best food” “Incredible event!” These are just some of the compliments we have heard from our guests. All we can say about our July wedding was WOW! From the start the wedding coordinators at willowdale were beyond helpful answering all our questions as we navigated throughout wedding planning. We then got assigned Emily as our coordinator and she was wonderful making sure we had all details ironed out from start of the day to end of the night to make sure the day went as smoothly as possible. She was always quick to respond if we had any questions or needed advice on final details and was willing to always go above and beyond to help us. On the day of our wedding Emily brought our dream wedding to life! She made sure the decor in and outside of the house was our exact vision. We are forever grateful for Emily and the whole Willowdale staff who made sure me and my husband had everything we needed and made sure our guests were having an amazing time. Not to mention the food and drinks were SO good. The catering staff ensured our guests meals aligned with their dietary needs, which I was very impressed by. It was an incredible day and we still are getting compliments on the day a few weeks later. We are forever thankful we chose Willowdale for our wedding venue. -

We had an amazing experience at Willowdale and recommend them very highly. They know exactly how to surprise and delight guests - small touches like chocolate chip cookies and a handwritten note after our visit, cucumber mint water served to guests as they walk in, hors d'oeuvres brought out to us while we were taking photos... The entire team is fabulous, and we had an awesome experience with our coordinator Julia who is efficient, knowledgeable, and very supportive. Beautiful venue, incredible hospitality. And the food was AWESOME! Some of the best wedding food I have had anywhere. Thanks a ton Team Willowdale - we are so grateful for you! -

We absolutely loved our June wedding at Willowdale Estate! We happily booked the venue about 18 months in advance, and were so grateful to Willowdale’s team for expertly guiding us through the wedding planning process. We hosted our ceremony offsite, but from the moment we arrived for the reception, we were expertly taken care of! Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the property, the warmth and professionalism of the staff, and the superb quality of the food (many guests reached out to say it was the best wedding food they’d ever have - we’re inclined to agree!). Julia, our coordinator, helped us every step of the way, and made our day nothing short of spectacular. If you’re looking for a wedding filled with warmth and New England historic charm, you found the right place in Willowdale! -

Willowdale was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding - beyond our wildest dreams. My partner and I met in Boston and lived there together for about 4 years before getting engaged, but then we were about to move out of the state. We decided to get married in the Boston area to have a good excuse to come back and see friends and family. We toured one other venue before Willowdale but fell totally in LOVE with Willowdale as soon as we saw it. My partner said, "I want to marry a special woman in a special place," meaning Willowdale, and that closed the deal! The house itself is beautiful, you have access to all of the upstairs getting ready rooms throughout the whole night, the courtyard where the ceremony happens is just magical, and even the tent is very tasteful and doesn't ruin the aesthetic.
Willowdale staff were very organized in sending us documents about the food/drink options, decor rental options, recommended vendors. We booked nearly every vendor based on their recommendation and we were totally blown away by everyone (we used Karla Cassidy for florals, Joe Carson for DJ, Shane Godfrey for photography, and Black Tie Limo for transportation). Willowdale also has an easy to use online planning tool called Planning Pod that you use to make all selections and payments, it was very straightforward.
My partner and his brother attended a food tasting about 7 months before we got married, they had a great time and had a lot of nice food options served to them! Luckily at Willowdale you can pick a variety of entrees and appetizers and I think we met everyone's needs. We also opted to do dessert through Willowdale rather than get a cake and that worked out perfectly, everyone was so impressed.
About 6 weeks before the wedding we were paired with a wedding coordinator, Emily McTeague, who was AMAZING! She was super responsive and attentive, gave us good advice for things we didn't know how to do, corresponded directly with our vendors as needed, and more. We had a zoom call with her about a month before to finalize our details and then another meeting with her the week of the wedding to double check everything. We were SO impressed with everything she did, especially on the day of. Neither of us had to worry about anything, we just showed up and everything was exactly where it was supposed to be, at the right time and in the right way. She went above and beyond for several things, including but not limited to making sure my MOH had somewhere to store an extra baby bottle of breast milk in the fridge and sending one of the staff to Macy's to buy us a replacement champagne glass when one of our special ones for the sweetheart table broke as they were setting up - we had no idea that they would go to such lengths to ensure we had an awesome experience.
We highly recommend this venue!! -

My wife and I got married at the Willowdale Estate in April 2024. The wedding, the staff, and the entire experience was exceptional for the entire Wedding. The beautiful venue, the ethereal vibes, the delicious food, everything was wonderful. Our guest we're talking about wedding (again the food is incredible) for many months after, and still do. Veronica our event coordinator was awesome throughout the planning process and on the day of, and didn't hesitate when we needed to pivot minor things to make the experience seamless. I could go on and on about how amazing the day was, but simply said it's an 11/10 on the scale of being spectacular. I give it my full endorsement. -

It's been a month since our wedding and it's taken us this long to write a review, not only because we're still coming down from the high, but because it's difficult to express how perfect the day was and how grateful we are for everyone at Willowdale Estate - from the catering team, to the event staff, and most of all Jeannine and the care she put into helping us plan everything. We definitely threw some curveballs, but with every unique request came an enthusiastic response and flawless execution. The list of vendors they provided were fantastic and outside vendors we found blended perfectly with the staff. The food was incredible to the point we had comments from guests that it was the best wedding food they've had. All around would recommend and cannot thank Jeannine and everyone at Willowdale enough. -

The Best Decision
Having our wedding at Willowdale Estate was the best decision we made! From the venue, to our coordinator (Jeannine), the food, and the cookies.. everything was perfect. They focus on so many meaningful details to make your special day a dream. The best part was the desert table with the ice cream bar! Our friends and family still talk about it six months later. The food was 10/10 in my opinion. Everything was delicious! Jeannine went above and beyond for me the day of my August wedding. There was a chance of rain which would push us inside for our ceremony. Seeing how I was a little upset about this (also pregnant and emotional) , Jeannine set up two ceremonies in case the rain held out. I was so appreciative of all the hard work the staff did! Can’t say enough about how beautiful this venue is and how amazing the staff is. Highly recommend! -

We cannot say enough good things about Willowdale Estate and their staff! We chose Willowdale for our September 2023 wedding because of the beauty of the property, amazing food, and the ability for our pup to be included in our ceremony. Our wedding ended up being everything we could have dreamed of and more.
Julia was our day-of coordinator, and we cannot express our gratitude enough for her outstanding service. From the initial planning stages to the event day, her professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to making our day special were truly remarkable. We especially appreciated her prompt and clear communication. We had a lot of questions during the planning process, and Julia was always responsive to our emails, calls, and inquiries, ensuring that we were informed every step of the way. Her ability to listen to our ideas and provide valuable insights made us feel that she understood the vision for our wedding day.
Julia's attention to detail was incredible. From the getting ready snacks, to managing all our vendors, to dinner service, speeches, and dances, every single aspect of the day was executed as planned. One of the highlights of our experience with Julia was her proactive approach to preparing for unexpected challenges, particularly with regards to the weather. A day before the wedding, it was clear that it was going to rain. This was of course disappointing, as we had envisioned an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard, but Julia worked with us to develop a contingency plan to hold our ceremony in the conservatory, which gave us peace of mind. We ended up going with this plan, and the ceremony was beautiful, with gorgeous views of the state park as the backdrop.
In addition to great communication and attention to detail, we were struck by Julia’s kindness and dedication to making sure we had the most special day. Of note, she made sure cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were waiting for us in the library following the ceremony, helped my (the bride’s) mom bustle my dress during cocktail hour, and when she heard me make a comment about how I hoped the oysters weren’t all gone yet, she personally brought me a plate.
Our wedding at Willowdale Estate was an absolute dream, thanks in large part to Julia's exceptional coordination. We are forever grateful for Julia and the team at Willowdale for their dedication, professionalism, and the unforgettable memories they helped create on our special day. We highly recommend Willowdale Estate— you will truly have the best day of your life! -

We worked with Jeannine and I cannot say enough how much she made our day perfect. The entire staff was so professional and made us feel like we were special, even though they had done this before. It was the perfect blend of "I know what I am doing and have a lot of experience" and "your day is unique and your own, how can we get there?". Last minute things were handled with grace - as an example, apparently our cake place had messed up the delivery time and was not there when we got to the venue. Jeaninne completely handled everything about it, called them and got the cake there before it was needed - something I did not want to be doing that day.
Everyone had complimented us on how beautiful the night was and how good of a time they had. We are still shocked at how blessed we were to have Willowdale Estate and their staff. -

Incredible venue. We were sold when they said the food and bar were included so it was two less vendors to find and coordinate. All our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The venue itself is stunning and the team to work with are amazing and make everything as easy as possible and dare I say... enjoyable! This was a stress free wedding planning experience with the Willowdale team. They did everything they possibly could to give us the wedding that we wanted, including waiting out the rain so we could have the ceremony of our dreams outside in the courtyard. You won't regret it. -

The entire team at Willowdale Estate is amazing! Our coordinator Julia really took care of us and thought of every detail throughout the evening. She was always there to help us and make sure we had food and drinks throughout the night. All the staff were quick on their feet to manage the unexpected too, so well that we didn’t even notice! The whole night was flawless. Willowdale took the stress out of wedding planning and the staff were incredibly friendly, compassionate, and professional. So many guests told us they have never had so much fun at a wedding or that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Also the food is delicious! I highly recommend the Maine Crab Rangoons and the Zucchini Fritters – I am still thinking about them. The tomato bisque was scrumptious. I am hoping a friend of mine gets married at Willowdale so I can go back! -

Willowdale is not only one of the most beautiful settings for a wedding but also has the best coordinating team, event staff, and food! Our experience was nothing but extraordinary from start to finish. Alyssa and her team made sure we were extremely well taken care of on our day as well as the weeks leading up to it. They even supplied us a place setting of hors d'oeuvres and drinks in the bridal suite during cocktail hour for us to take a breather and have a moment just to ourselves. Our moments there are some of my favorite moments from the entire night! As a bride who wanted to do a lot of my own decor, the drop-off process prior to the event was also a breeze and it was so exciting to see how well they helped complete the vision of my wedding day I've had since a little girl. On top of all of this, the food is absolutely incredible. Every single guest came to tell us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, some even saying it was one of the best meals they'd had in recent memory! I can not say enough good things about having our wedding day at Willowdale Estate, it will forever be in our memory as one of the best days of our lives! -

Book this venue! From the moment my husband and I pulled up the driveway we fell in love. The venue speaks for itself, it’s gorgeous! What made the planning process and day even better was the staff. Beginning to end, Alyssa was a tremendous help making our day run smoothly, made sure everything and everyone was where they needed to be, and turned our vision into reality. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had throughout the planning, and gave great suggestions on logistics for the day of based on her experiences with other weddings. We wish we could relive the day over and over, just so we could continue to eat the delish food and cookies and walk around the grounds. Absolutely amazing venue and staff here, the event couldn't have been more perfect. The vibe of the estate is a lovely change of pace from your average wedding venue; Willowdale feels unique with its arts & crafts style and it was noticed and admired by guests. Some other points:
- Our coordinator, Alyssa, really did an amazing job at both keeping the flow of the event and making us as the couple feel like VIPs - in the words of our parents, "the whole day flowed so seamlessly" .

My husband and I had our wedding in early October 2022, and we truly had the most extraordinary day of our lives thanks to Willowdale.
What first drew us to Willowdale was its obvious beauty - the exterior of the estate is enchanting on its own, and the interior is bursting with charm and warmth in every corner. Our guests repeatedly told us they had never been to a more unique wedding venue, and swooned over the courtyard garden in the back. We loved how private and secluded Willowdale feels, and that you truly have the property to yourself and your guests on your day.
While it is a beautiful venue, where Willowdale truly shines is through its staff. While I’m sure every coordinator is incredible at Willowdale, we happened to be paired with Julia and she is simply exceptional! She is professional, experienced, and full of expertise. From the first time we connected with her, we knew we were in the absolute best hands. She had an answer to every question we had, always offered helpful suggestions and input, and made us feel taken care of. There was nothing she couldn’t come up with a solution to when needed and is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of planning a wedding. Julia was continuously accommodating to our every request, always quick to respond to emails with our many questions and always there to answer your call when you need her. On the actual wedding day itself, my husband and I didn’t worry or think once about the wedding coming together - we had complete and total trust in Julia to know she’d execute the day perfectly. She is so thoughtful, she did everything from bringing out a tray of appetizers for all of us as we were taking photos to even bustling my dress before we were introduced at the reception and everything else in between. She is a gem of a person, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
As for catering, our guests couldn’t say enough that it was hands down the best food they’ve had at a wedding. We were drawn to Willowdale’s extensive catering menu because of its unique spins on hors d’oeuvres, all of their seasonal options, and so many amazing desserts and add ons – it made it very difficult to choose because everything sounded incredible! On our wedding day, we certainly felt Willowdale’s focus and pride in their catering as all the food was extremely fresh and beautifully presented. We appreciated how meticulous their staff was and how readily available they were for any guests’ need all night long.
We continuously were told while preparing for our wedding to expect something to go wrong, but thanks to Julia and the staff at Willowdale, our day was nothing short of perfect. We are forever grateful for the love and thoughtfulness they put into every single detail of our dream day and would highly recommend this venue to anyone. -

The perfect day
Willowdale was the only venue we looked at for our wedding day. It was perfect from the beginning. From the food tasting and then meeting Emily, our wedding coordinator, everything was top notch. Emily was so responsive and helpful leading up to our big day. She orchestrated the day and it was more than we could have ever imagined down to every detail. My husband and I got married at Willowdale Estate last month and our wedding day was an absolute magical dream come true!!
First off, the venue itself is absolutely STUNNING! The historical estate is located within Bradley Palmer State Park and it is such a wonderful experience driving up the road and seeing the beautiful mansion nestled with a serene, natural landscape in the background. The mansion itself is rather large and very well-maintained. The gorgeous decor and pieces curate a very elegant, classy feel. My husband and I got married during tent season so we had our ceremony in the lovely courtyard. The weather on our wedding day ended up being perfect for an outdoor ceremony! There is a lot of beautiful natural greenery and flowers and the stone texture of the mansion made for a cool backdrop. We loved exchanging our vows in the courtyard because the space is pleasantly secluded/private. My husband and I have attended several weddings over the last few years, some being held at hotels, golf courses, and more public settings where there were other people around. We didn’t realize until our wedding day how delightful it was getting married at a venue where our wedding was the only event going on and we thoroughly enjoyed how intimate it felt. The majority of our guests made comments about how magnificent our entire wedding venue was and how much they enjoyed exploring the mansion and walking around the property and it’s lovely landscaping!
Another thing we were initially attracted to about Willowdale Estate is that they own their tent and do not charge you an additional fee to hold your reception there. When we were first touring wedding venues, we looked at a few that had an outdoor space but required you to rent the tent. I inquired with a couple different tent rental companies about a similar size and design of Willowdale’s tent and was quoted a price ranging from 12-16K!
Overall, the wedding planning process at Willowdale is organized and is laid out so it’s as convenient for the couple as possible! They have several options and enhancements you can rent directly from them if you do not feel like buying or outsourcing certain aspects. Additionally, Willowdale is extremely accommodating! If you want to set things up a certain way or add additional things they do not include with their venue, they will find a way to make it happen!
Another aspect of our wedding we received SO MANY compliments on was the food!! We had multiple guests tell us that the food at our wedding was hands-down not only the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, but some of the best food they’ve had in general. All of the food was incredibly delicious, from the h’orderves, the platters, the entrees we selected, to the house made Willowdale cookies they present for dessert!!
We were advised by multiple married friends and family members of ours that things inevitably go wrong on your wedding day but do not stress out and roll with it because all will be okay. Well, my husband and I got extremely lucky because we did not experience that at all. After our wedding day, we reflected on how absolutely perfect our day was and how there were zero hiccups or issues that occurred. I can confidently say that a large reason for that is due to our extremely organized, detail-oriented, communicative, kind, and caring Willowdale day-of coordinator, JULIA D’AGOSTINO!!!
Julia was assigned as our wedding coordinator about 8 weeks prior to our wedding and from the beginning, she was nothing but incredibly lovely and helpful! As someone who did not hire an additional wedding planner and did the majority of wedding planning myself, working with Julia was such a weight off my shoulders and truly just a wonderful experience. She was basically my stress-sponge and handled all the logistics of how the wedding day would proceed and communicated with all our wedding vendors to coordinate everything the week of our wedding. Just based off our first meeting, I could tell that Julia was well-versed at making sure her couples’ weddings went flawlessly. She was very detail-oriented and thorough, which is something my husband and I appreciated so much. She was extremely knowledgable and answered all of our numerous questions and in general, just gave us such peace of mind. I am a pretty Type A person so the weeks leading up to the wedding, I would email Julia multiple times trying to iron out minuscule questions and details and Julia would always be so accommodating, and respond promptly and with so much enthusiasm and kindness. On the wedding day itself, Julia was like superwoman! Wedding days can be a little chaotic as everyone is so antsy and excited but Julia did not miss a single beat. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there and directed the entire wedding party for the ceremony and reception entrances. She was very attentive and throughout our entire wedding day, she was available to provide guidance for my husband and I, assist anyone (parents, wedding party, guests), or answer any questions that arose. Straight after our ceremony, she even had two trays of our signature cocktails ready for my husband, myself, and our parents and wedding party! Additionally, my husband and I spent a portion of our cocktail hour taking some more couple portraits with our photographer and when we got back inside, Julia had several of each of our selected h’orderves waiting for us because she wanted to make sure we had a chance to try them!! Julia was without a doubt the MVP of our wedding day!!
Our special day at Willowdale truly felt like a fairy-tale. My husband, family, and friends and I still reminisce on our wedding day all the time because of how spectacular and fun it was. Not only did I get to marry my best friend, I got to do it at a beautiful, superb venue, with loads of amazing food and drinks, surrounded by our loved ones. I will cherish the memories of our wedding day forever and Willowdale will always hold a special place in my heart. We truly could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day and lovely wedding planning experience!!! -

Several of our guests told us this was one of the best weddings they've ever attended, and I have to agree. The estate is obviously beautiful and rich in history, but it's the staff that makes it shine. Our Event Coordinator, Julia was so nice, detail oriented, and responsive. She made sure all the pieces were in place prior to the wedding and the day of. The food was excellent (our guests raved about that as well). Finally, the waitstaff was punctual with all our courses and drink orders, and was very friendly to our guests. I wouldn't think twice about recommending this venue to a friend. They make it easy to have an amazing, low-stress wedding. -

Summer wedding at Willowdale
We had the best wedding in Willowdale! We got married on July 29, 2022 and the venue is the perfect place for our guest size of roughly 130 people. So many things to love about Willowdale, both the exterior and the interior of the estate house are fabulous, the garden and the courtyard is beautiful (highly recommend adding the bistro light) and the greenery is definitely the star of the show. We particularly enjoyed that Willowdale has lots of interior space where our guests can relax (especially helpful on a hot summer day). The staff team is amazing, they truly cared about our event as much as we do, and our wedding day coordinator Julia is our life saver! -

We cannot say enough about Willowdale Estate. Throughout every step of the process, Willowdale was outstanding. Not only did we always have a point of contact at Willowdale, but there were clear touchpoints throughout the process (visit / tour, tasting, clear payment schedule, final planning meeting, final walkthrough, drop-off, pickup) that made it so easy.
Outside of the "process", the venue was incredible. We got married in early July and the whole cocktail hour was blooming with flowers. The tent was fantastic and worked perfectly for our band.
Most of all, our point of contact Emily was INCREDIBLE. She was so good at outlining all the decisions we needed to make and was incredibly accommodating the day of the wedding (always making sure we ate, were comfortable, etc).

Everything about Willowdale was perfect. It is a beautiful and classy venue. The food is incredible. We had multiple friends and family members say that the food was the best that they have ever had at a wedding and we couldn't agree more. We had the wedding of our dreams at Willowdale in May 2022, and we cannot thank our full service planner, Kelsey Correia, and the entire staff at Willowdale enough for our truly magical day. We were originally scheduled for May of 2021, but due to the COVID19 pandemic, we decided it would be best to push the date out. Kelsey worked with us to make that happen seamlessly. When we toured wedding venues, we were captivated by Willowdale’s beauty and charm (and the chocolate chip cookies sealed the deal!). While we booked Willowdale for the aesthetic of the venue itself and the privacy of having the estate to ourselves all day, we ended up with so much more. Everything exceeded our expectations - the delicious food, the incredibly accommodating staff, the personalized service, and the gorgeous, fairytale setting. Throughout the VERY extended process of planning our wedding, Kelsey was there every step of the way. She worked her magic to make the day even more amazing than we had imagined, even given an unexpected turn of events. She had the perfect suggestions for other vendors, had a solution to every problem, and supported us throughout the planning process by taking tasks off our hands, big and small. Nothing about our wedding felt standard, or typical, and Kelsey worked seamlessly with all of our vendors to make our dreams a beautiful reality. When the weather said thunderstorms at the exact time of our ceremony, Kelsey set up two ceremony seating plans - just incase we could make it work outside. She and her staff went the extra mile, and then some to make sure that every detail was taken care of, and that all of our needs and concerns were met. No detail was too small to be important to Kelsey and her team. We felt as much love and joy from the staff at Willowdale as we did from our own guests, many of whom said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. We can't believe how fast the day went by and we wish we could do it all over again - we would book Willowdale again in a heartbeat! -

I reached out to Willowdale Estate as a potential winter wedding venue the moment I saw its reviews and stunning interior photos on their website. The countryside castle vibes were exactly what my husband and I were looking for in a venue. What we could not have predicted was the incredible service and professionalism illustrated by all of the planners and admins at the venue. I am a type A bride that was very focused on the details, and Willowdale was amazing at answering all of my questions in a timely manner throughout the planning process. Julia D'Agostino was our assigned event coordinator and she was AMAZING. She had a wonderful sense of humor and bent over backwards to help us realize one of our last minute lighting requests. Many people say that you should hire an additional planner because the venue planners do the bare minimum, but this was not our experience at Willowdale whatsoever. My parents can be kind of critical of service and my mom and dad both described Julia as an "absolute doll". We even had guests and bridal party members tell us later that Julia did a great job of helping keep everything in order and our wedding went smoothly only thanks to her help and guidance. She has it down to a science! When my bridesmaid spilled wine on the carpet in the bridal suite, she panicked, but it was Julia that swooped in with towels and a totally calming demeanor that put us at ease during such a stressful moment. The food at Willowdale is second to none. Wedding food is traditionally pretty 'meh', but Willowdale's chefs are amazing and our guests all said they loved their meals and it was the best wedding food they've had. They also were extremely attentive to our one guest with severe nut allergies. Willowdale served as the perfect backdrop to our love story. Pictures don't do it justice, you have to see it in person to truly appreciate the details. My only regret is not taking more pictures outside on the grounds. Rain or shine, winter or summer, it's the most stunning venue. Call me biased, but every wedding I've been to since our own just feels so generic and unoriginal. Willowdale is the perfect venue for the couple looking to fulfill their fairytale wedding dreams! -

I thought wedding planning would be stressful. We went to Willowdale for our ceremony, reception, and catering, and they made the process a breeze. We worked with Julia D'Agostino on their hospitality team, and she worked with us every step of the way to make things as smooth as possible.
When our big day arrived, we felt like celebrities in that mansion. We had an indoor wedding in November, and they included winter decorations that were so nice and cozy. The food was insane, literally the best stead I've had in my life.

We absolutely loved our experience having our wedding at the Willowdale. We originally had our wedding scheduled for April 2020 and everyone at Willowdale was SO accommodating and allowed us to move our date 3 times (!!!) in order to ensure we got our perfect day. Our wedding coordinator was Emily McTeague and all I have to say is WOW....between the venue just speaking for itself, the food being out of this world, our amazing team the night of the wedding and Emily being there for us every step of the way. I can honestly say we couldn't have done it without her! She is charismatic, smart, professional and made us feel so calm about the process. She gave us plenty of ideas and was also honest if she thought we were doing to much. She was always readily available by email and let me tell you, we had lots of questions and concerns especially planning and having a wedding during a pandemic. She was there every step of the way. The night of our wedding Emily started early just so I could get ready at Willowdale. She would keep checking on me and making sure I didn't need anything. She made sure the set up of everything went smoothly. Once we got started She kept us on time, fluffed my dress when needed it and gave us all the direction on how, what and where. Emily, you are a dream and amazing at what you do. You rocked it that night and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We couldn't have done it without you. As far Willowdale, every single person who attended said that was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The plates were practically licked clean. My husband and I kept saying how pleasant and happy the servers were. The decorations for the holiday along with my own and the florist were incredible. I never saw myself being December Bride until I walked in to Willowdale Estate. I wouldn't change a thing and Thank you to Willowdale and the whole team! There aren't enough complimentary and positive words to express how absolutely amazing Willowdale Estate truly is as a wedding venue. My husband and I live in NJ, however, we knew we wanted to be married in MA where the majority of our family and friends reside. Willowdale was the first and only venue we visited, we knew we wanted to be married at this magical place right away. Not only is the setting itself beautiful beyond measure (a real life secret garden!!), but the staff goes over the top to make your experience with Willowdale nothing short of perfection. Originally a 2020 wedding, we had to postpone due to COVID which was stressful and disappointing, but the Willowdale team eased our worries and helped us navigate the uncertain time at every turn. Our coordinator was Alyssa and she is incredible - leading up to our August 2021 wedding, she answered every question quickly and offered great advice to make our day the most perfect (for example, maybe don't splurge on those under the tent lights if you want the evening to be dimly lit and romantic at night - after all, it's still pretty light at 9PM in August and the lights around the brim of the tent offer enough lighting for a dancefloor). On the day of, she was there for us whenever and wherever we needed her, from doing all the set up to making sure we got a tray of hors d'oeuvres during the busy cocktail hour and checking in with us throughout the night to make sure all was well. She also connected with all of our vendors in advance to confirm and coordinate every little thing that needed to happen for our day. When I dropped off the decor a couple days before the wedding, I was a little nervous since it was feeling so real, but she eased my worries completely by her professionalism and when she told me "I got this" I 1000% believed her. She is a superstar! In addition to the beautiful grounds and amazing staff, the food is out of this world. Some stand outs from our selections were the mac and cheese bites, mini lobster rolls, both the chicken and beef entrees, and of course the famous Willowdale cookies. Also, having dedicated suites for the bridal party are a major plus - we could bypass the guest bathrooms whenever we needed to and scoot upstairs to our private area to take a break, so ideal. We truly loved every aspect of working with Willowdale and if we were to be married again, I would choose this venue all over again. Don't hesitate to book this venue, and if you are lucky enough to have Alyssa as your coordinator, you will never be disappointed. I can't thank her and all the staff at Willowdale enough for everything they did for us. We will remember our wedding day so fondly, forever.
