Writing this review is going to make me emotional... We were so lucky to have the Ann Marie, Paul, and the team at WMR as our coordinators/vendors. From the moment we selected our wedding weekend to the day after our wedding, WMR proved their experience in weddings through thorough check ins/communication, their incredible attention to detail, their organization, and their goal to make our wedding special and fun. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day & weekend. Ann Marie made wedding planning feel effortless. She was there every step of the way and I can say that I truly made a friend in Ann Marie. She's the best! And Paul has incredible communication. He helped with booking details and housing for our wedding party and our guests. I cannot recommend this venue and this team enough. I would plan 100 more weddings just to work with them again!

Whitefish Mountain Resort was an incredible venue. As a Montana-born-but-east-coast-based bride who wanted to have some rustic, mountain charm, this place fit the bill so well! We booked the venue ~1.5 years in advance, which did come with some quirks. Most notably, we saw a few coordinators come through, but the one who has stuck, Ann Marie, is next level. Ann Marie's attention to detail made our entire wedding go off without a hitch. It was so clear that she was committed to making everything run smoothly from the first time we talked to her, and it clearly showed on the day of!

WMR is an incredible venue in itself, with the ceremony taking place at the Summit, and the reception at the Base Lodge. Our guests were thrilled to have an excuse to come to Whitefish and Glacier. Some of the guests were a bit worried/confused about the fact they needed to ride a chair lift or gondola to the summit, but WMR provided very clear instructions for us to provide to our guests so that everyone could be well prepared and on time the day of. The huge benefit of using WMR is that due to the uniqueness of the venue, there is a wedding coordinator included in the cost. This alone made the cost well worth it. Ann Marie knew every small detail, provided suggestions for vendors early on, and was more than happy to make whatever ideas we had a reality. Additionally, she checked in with our vendors to ensure they would be familiar with the resort and the timeline prior to the actual day, which I feel made everything run so seamlessly. The team as a whole were nothing short of incredible the day of! The food being in-house is also a huge benefit. Guests loved the food (as did we!!), and we found that the resort served high end meals for a great price. We were so impressed at the quality!! The bar was able to bring in a few specialties for us at a very reasonable charge, which just made everything even more special.

I will say that if you in doubts about the ceremony and reception being in two different parts of the resort, have no fear! The team will guide your guests with ease to where they need to be. The lodge also is interesting - the dinner area is separated from the dance floor- but we found this worked amazing for our crowd. It gave everyone a chance to be on the dance floor having fun, and a quiet space for when you needed a small break! Finally, as guests were ready to leave from our truly magical wedding, they were able to take a shuttle to accommodations within the Resort Village. This was provided within the cost of the venue, and really helped ensure that everyone was able to have a good time.

While some of the decor can seem a bit older or dated, it worked amazingly well for my vision. The resort turned into everything I dreamed of with some fairly basic florals and decor for tables. I think if you keep that in mind, you will find the decor of the Base Lodge perfect.

I cannot recommend this venue enough. The whole team is there to help you have an amazing night! I had the wedding of my absolute dreams for a very reasonable price. I will truly cherish EVERYTHING about my wedding for the rest of my days.

Allison and her team are the best! They were all so kind and helpful! Our wedding day was perfect because of the staff and the efforts that they put into our special day. The view of Whitefish is phenomenal and a beautiful place to get married. However it would not have been as perfect of the staff and Allison were not there to keep things in order! We had a cake malfunction that was fixed because of quick thinking. Our cake cutting cake was ordered from a grocery store as we ordered cupcakes and macrons for the guests to eat and the cake was purely just to cut. The grocery store did not decorate it up to wedding standards and a staff member from whitefish quickly made it a beautiful cake by take extra flowers and adding them to the top of the cake!

We had our wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort in August 2022.  We definitely recommend this venue. The ceremony site is at the top of the mountain and the views are stunning.  Our guests continue to rave about the beautiful gondola ride to the top of the mountain for the ceremony.  The alpine coaster was open and available to guests during the cocktail hour, which was a huge hit with all of our guests.  We had several guests from out of town so it was very convenient to have the wedding, ceremony, and lodging all on the mountain.  Allison is the wedding coordinator for the venue and she is super helpful and very quick to respond during the entire planning process.  The dinner was superb and the bar menu prices were very reasonable allowing us to host an open bar.  Whitefish Mountain Resort is the perfect place for a beautiful and unique, fun wedding. Several guests told us that our wedding was the best they have ever attended thanks to Whitefish Mountain Resort and Allison!

Where is the button for 100 stars?? This place is AMAZING!!! I still cannot believe I had my wedding here. We wanted the mountains and everything was out of our price range, until we found WMR!! The pricing is amazing, the food was delicious, the staff were exceptional (like truly amazing), and the views are literally perfect in every way. By the end of the event I felt like the coordinator (Allison) was my best friend. She did EVERYTHING. Everything. And she was by far the friendliest person we worked with, and even our guests later asked who that amazing woman was who was helping direct them where to go! And the ALPINE SLIDE was epic! Our guests loved it! Many of them took the lift back up to ride it a second time! The ski lift in itself was such a unique experience. And wow the views at the ceremony site were perfect for pictures. Reception site was great too- intimate but still tons of space to dance and party! The whole town has a fun vibe to it and tons of places to eat and visit for wedding weekend! Super close to GNP for guests to turn the wedding into a vacation! We thought it would be a destination wedding where most people wouldn't make the trip, but because the location was SO cool, 110 people flew from the east coast to join. If you are considering a mountain wedding and you want somewhere beautiful, affordable, and that will take care of everything then this is the place.

Whitefish Mountain Resort went above and beyond for my wedding day. Planning a destination wedding can be difficult, but Allison was always so responsive. She provided all the tools to make planning easy and even made last minute changes the day before! The rehearsal and wedding day went so smoothly. She had everything totally under control and handled all my vendors and set up. The staff did an awesome job decorating the venue and executed my vision perfectly. I had some friends go in to help them out before the ceremony, but they’d already finished everything and had it ready to go! The catering was excellent. My guests are still telling me how good the food was. And several friends and family members commented on how smoothly everything went and how friendly the staff was. They truly went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect, and there was no stress on me or any family members. Also, the views are stunning and can’t be beat!

Whitefish Mountain Resort was the perfect place for us! Not only did they work with us to stay in our budget, but they were very friendly and responded quickly, particularly our wedding coordinator Jess. They never pushed anything on us and always gave helpful information to make important logistical decisions. The experience and professionalism of their staff were evident and if I had to do it all over again, I would not hesitate in choosing Whitefish Mountain Resort. We look forward to spending our first-year anniversary there!

When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Montana but weren't set on a venue. We reached out to a LOT of venues, and NONE were as responsive as WMR. That was our deciding factor; when planning a wedding somewhere you've never been you need a set of eyes there that you trust and can rely on! Jess was exactly that. She and her team were exceptional. Getting married on top of a mountain was absolutely breathtaking and so special. All of our guests were traveling in from out of town and there was something to do there for all ages. Since we were having an intimate destination wedding, we did not have a tasting beforehand and just picked off the menu. The food and service was just amazing, it blew our expectations out of the water. We really couldn't have been happier with choosing Whitefish Mountain Resort and we can't thank Jess and her team enough for all of their hard work giving us our dream day.

If you are looking to get married in Montana (or a beautiful place in general) look no further! Seriously! WMR was a dream to work with. I wasn't aware of any hiccups and the WMR team did EVERYTHING! WMR was not only a dream for my husband and myself, but all of our guests RAVED about the venue. WMR is truly amazing and the entire staff was incredible to work with.

I cannot say how nice it was to work with Sara and the Whitefish Mountain Resort team. They made everything so easy and the night ran PERFECTLY! It was freezing but they accommodated my guests and my every need. The event was beautiful and on time, the food was beyond delicious and my guests all had an unforgettable time.

We can truly look back and know that we had the best day ever! Whitefish Mountain Resort is a dream location. The mountain is stunning, and the resort is so well run. Sarah Nuckolls is the most professional and caring person to work with. We really felt like we connected with her, and she helped settle our nerves and she was extremely responsive to our questions and needs. As a same-sex couple, we were slightly apprehensive when selecting wedding venues, but we felt so at ease with Sarah. The entire experience was positive and somewhat seamless. We hardly felt the anticipated pressures of wedding planning, and our families even worried about how things would play out. We were all stopped in our tracks, and our families were especially impressed. In addition to the mountain scenery, Whitefish Mountain Resort staff members were a dream to work with. Managers, wait staff, and all employees from the lodging desk to the ski lifts were extremely pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. We loved our selection, and we believed the cost was reasonable. I highly recommend Whitefish Mountain Resort for the ultimate destination wedding!

We worked very closely with Sarah at Whitefish Mountain Resort and she was absolutely wonderful! We were a bit nervous to plan our mountain wedding from our home state of Minnesota, but Sarah made it a breeze. She had check-lists, timelines, and deadlines all organized to keep us on track, and she thought of things I wouldn’t have even considered. Everyone at the resort is very friendly and very helpful - the front desk staff made sure our guests got their welcome boxes, and if it was missed at check-in, they delivered the welcome boxes to each persons room. Our ceremony was held at the summit, and Sarah did a great job of setting up pieces for our unity ceremony, chairs, and she even laid out the rose petals that lined the aisle herself. She walked us through rehearsal and kept everyone on schedule! In terms of the reception - ours was held in the base lodge and it was perfect. Our guests waited and had appetizers on the patio until we arrived, and then our meal was served buffet style. All of our guests commented on how delicious and warm the food was - that was a big deal for us! Set up and take down were a breeze and aside from dropping everything off, the Whitefish Mountain Resort staff set up our signs and photos and put on all the finishing touches. We truly could not think of a better team of people or a more perfect day!

Whitefish Mountain Resort was an absolutely amazing venue for our wedding! I cannot say enough good things about Sarah and the staff. We are originally from the Flathead Valley, but were planning our wedding from another state and Sarah made the whole process seamless. Having the ceremony and reception at the summit was such a fun experience for our guests and people are still raving about the delicious food! If you are looking for a venue that captures the essence of Montana and offers exceptional service then Whitefish Mountain Resort is the perfect choice.

Our wedding rocked! We had so much fun and we have had multiple guests say it was the best wedding they have been to. Sarah and the whole mountain made the experience very stress free the whole time. We never had an issue working up to the wedding with communicating our ideas or working out any concerns. Sarah was really responsive with calls or emails. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch. The staff was very helpful and food was amazing. Thank you all for making our day great!

Whitefish Mountain Resort was the perfect place for a wedding. Sarah did everything possible to insure that our every need was taken care of. The venue on top of the mountain was perfect for a beautiful ceremony and the Base Lodge was perfect for a fun filled reception. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that the night was one to remember.

If your looking for great pictures, amazing scenery and a one of a kind experience, Whitefish Mountain Resort is truly the place to book your dream wedding! The staff pays attention to detail and does an amazing job setting up the ceremony and reception area so there was no need for me to do a thing except enjoy my wedding! Chef Ben did a wonderful job in creating the perfect meal for our dinner and Sarah helped us with ideas and plans the whole way through. I couldn't of asked for a better staff or venue than Whitefish Mountain Resort!

I had my DREAM wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort. There are so many beautiful spots on the mountain (indoor or outdoor) to have your ceremony and reception. Sarah N. was such a pleasure to work with, always listening to my ideas, offering suggestions, responsive, professional & FUN! I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. Chef Ben worked with us on creating the perfect menu. The food was some of the best I've ever had, not only for a wedding but in general. The entire staff on the day of the wedding was so pleasant and on top of it. They even had children's meals ready to go when guests sat down (something I didn't even think of but heard GREAT feedback from my guests with small children). They had everything set up perfectly, service during the reception was top notch, and everyone was friendly while interacting with guests. If I could do it all over again, I would absolutely have it at the Whitefish Mountain Resort!

I am so happy I was able to book with Whitefish Mountain Resort for our wedding. Although it was a little bit cold at the end of September it was so worth the wait!! The scenery was breathtaking as the fall colors started to show themselves. It was amazing to be able to show family and friends who have never been to Montana, what the beautiful big sky had to offer for everyone. The staff was great to work with and the chef was amazing. Being cooks ourselves, the chef really took in our insight and made a beautiful meal that our guests got to choose from to accommodate their needs. I absolutely recommend anyone who is getting married or looking for a great venue for vow renewals or whatever you want your party to be, to get ahold of WMR and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I highly recommend the Whitefish Mountain Resort for your private event needs. We hosted our family and guests to dinner and a wedding rehearsal cocktail reception at the Big Mountain. We worked specifically with Sarah Nuckolls, who was a complete pleasure to work with and really went above and beyond to help us. Not only did Sarah help organize a great dinner and program for some speeches, but she also helped me to organize a surprise for my husband that involved me taking all our guests to the summit on the chair lifts. It was the night of July 31st and the blue moon. It was extraordinary. Overall, I received first class service, communication and follow up. I would highly recommend the facility and folks at Whitefish Mountain Resort. Thank you for making our evening fantastic!!

WMR was amazing!! Allison is the best!!

We had our wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort (WMR) over Labor Day weekend this year on Sunday, 9/3/17. We chose WMR because, among other things, the venue gave us the opportunity to exchange vows on top of a mountain with views of nearby Glacier National Park!

Sarah was our main point of contact and we loved working with her. We visited Whitefish in January to do some planning with her and I would definitely recommend spending the extra money on a "planning visit", etc. to anyone wanting to host a destination wedding. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, Sarah was very responsive and flexible, as was everyone who helped us at the resort. There was plenty of room for our 50+ guests traveling to Montana from out-of-state.

Our ceremony was on the Summit and it was absolutely beautiful. Our reception was at the Base Lodge and that, too, was wonderful. We felt we got such a great value for a destination wedding, especially compared to some of the resorts in Colorado and Wyoming, and would definitely recommend WMR to anyone looking to get married in the mountains!!!
