Our vision became Katie’s vision. We asked for her to think outside of the box, asked her, “don’t make it a “Pinterest wedding.” Get to know my daughter and her fiancé. Make it personal. Do things you have wanted to try. Use your talents of creativity and organization. Katie and her team exceeded everything we thought we wanted. The responses we got from our guests is that this was “the best, most beautiful wedding we have ever been to.””It embodied the love of the couple.” As the mother of the bride, I enjoyed every moment of the weekend. I didn’t have to worry because I knew Katie had it. She is calm, organized, happy and has hired a team of the same qualities. I had complete confidence in Katie and I would hands down recommend her for any event. She is a true gem. -

Katie was amazing. She kept me organized, on track, and helped me make so many decisions that would’ve completely overwhelmed me on my own. She also helped design the entire wedding and brought everything together better than I could’ve imagined. My mom and I literally say all the time that we could not have done this without her.
Because of Katie, I had a completely stress-free wedding weekend. I didn’t worry about a single thing. If you want someone who is helpful, calm, and truly on top of everything, Katie is it. I’m so grateful for her. -

We can’t thank Allison enough for everything she did to make our wedding day flawless. From the very beginning, she was organized, responsive, and always made us feel at ease. Allison made our wedding perfect. She thoughtfully spent so much time working with us before the wedding, and contacted and communicated with our vendors, which was a huge weight off. She also helped shield me from some drama that was going on with our venue, and kept everything running so smoothly and seamlessly!! To maintain effective communication, she reached out to my family that weekend, so they were able to contact her if they needed anything. I honestly cannot recommend them enough, an incredible experience all around. She consistently went above and beyond, you cannot go wrong (but you better be nice to her). -

Wow!!!! I got married on the Eastern Shore and wanted a day of planner/team that was from the area so I could use as many local vendors as possible. I found Katie and Allison with KPE and I could not be more thankful to have been able to work with them! They helped us navigate the wedding world when we had no idea what we were doing. They were both incredibly helpful in selecting vendors and navigating timelines when we got closer to the wedding day. Along with planning the wedding, they both helped us coordinate the rehearsal dinner that we dreamed of. They are both incredibly kind and organized. Katie was, without question, the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. From our very first discovery meetings, Katie was exceptional at helping us articulate and refine our wedding vision. Through iterative conversations and creative vision boards, she helped us transform our initially vague ideas into a well-defined, cohesive, and personalized celebration.
Her communication, organization, and wonderful demeanor were the real attributes that set her apart - she was a pleasure to work with at every step of the journey. Katie was extremely generous with her time, readily available to answer our questions and incredibly patient with our many thoughts and revisions along the way. As we progressed, she also maintained detailed checklists and deadlines that kept us accountable and on track so that no detail was overlooked. She even went so far as to help us craft custom signage that added some wonderful personal touches.
Katie’s exceptional network of vendor connections was also a game-changer. We weren't local to our wedding venue which gave us quite a bit of pause at first, but she connected us with local professionals (that we otherwise wouldn't have found) who perfectly understood and executed our vision. Every vendor delivered flawlessly – especially our DJ, who was a highlight of the day.
For couples seeking a wedding planner who combines strategic vision, local expertise, and genuine care, she is absolutely the professional you want by your side. Her ability to manage timelines with precision resulted in a completely stress-free wedding day that unfolded seamlessly. We live in New Jersey and our daughter lives in DC. We needed a planner and We hired Katie Parks for our daughter’s wedding at the Hyatt regency Cambridge md September 2024.There is no better person to do this job. From the moment we met her we knew she was the one. She is detail oriented, and knows how to make an affair beautiful. The vendors she has access to do a marvelous job. I can’t say enough about the florist we used. Because of Katie the decorations were stunning and jaw dropping. She works well with the bride and the families. Each time we had a question it was answered within one day. She is a great problem solver -she has lots of ideas and is very creative. While I sometimes panicked over something- she was right there to find an answer and she was always calm. We will actually miss our planning meetings with her. She is simply a delight. Do not hire anyone else.

Katie and Allison did the job they were hired to do…but they treated us like we had been long time friends! Of course they are professional and very knowledgeable but it was above and beyond the job to treat us with such warmth! Working with them made our Daughters Wedding Day Perfect! Before, During and even days after they were helping us! Thank you both!! -

The best decision you will ever make in the wedding planning process is hiring Katie Parks & team!
Our wedding took place on a busy weekend in May (Memorial Day weekend) and Katie (& Allison) handled everything seamlessly, from coordinating with vendors, to managing the timeline of events, allowing us to relax and enjoy our day to the fullest. Her expertise and calming presence were invaluable throughout the entire process.
Our guests were also impressed with how smoothly everything ran and how beautifully everything was executed. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner and are so grateful for her hard work and dedication.

We hired Katie and her team for all aspects of our planning process, and I’m certain we could not have pulled it off without her. We relied on her expertise and advice in hiring our numerous vendors and coordinating everything for a full weekend of wedding events. Katie also took almost full responsibility for the design and decor at our wedding (including floral), as that was not an area where we had a particular “vision” or desire to get into the details, and we were blown away with how beautiful and elegant the ceremony site and tent looked. Katie also gave us crucial advice in choosing our top-priority vendors, namely catering (Linwoods) and music (The Jazz Experience for ceremony, Infusion for reception) and we were thrilled with the outcome. I can honestly say I experienced a completely stress-free wedding weekend, and my husband and I were able to fully enjoy every moment, which is the ultimate testament to Katie’s and her team’s excellent coordination and planning. -

I am not your average bride - both my husband and I are 67 yo, second marriages for both of us, and we decided to have a "real" wedding. At first I thought I could manage it myself with the help of an online app, but soon realized I needed help.
Katie was incredibly responsive and I hired her right away. What a great decision! She walked me through every detail, knows everyone on the Eastern Shore, and went above and beyond her wedding duties to help with a Sunday Farewell Brunch. Always smiling, always willing to handle any detail, always prepared with suggestions and alternatives, always organized and punctual - I always looked forward to our interactions.
I would highly recommend Katie Parks Events for any special event - you will sleep well knowing she is in charge and looking after you and your special day! -

Amazing Person and Planner!!
Deciding to work with Katie to plan our wedding was the best decision my husband and I made!! Katie was incredible in so many ways. She is honest, creative, kind, amazing to work with, has a great vision and suggested great vendors. In peak wedding planning time we had family members became very ill and it was hard for me to make decisions at times. However, I could trust Katie and she was so helpful and kind throughout to ensure everything was still completed on time! The day of the wedding I had SO many people complement us in regards to how well the day was planned and how smooth everything went. It was all because of Katie!! I am sure there were things behind the scenes that happened but Katie and her team managed everything perfectly without us feeling any stress. The planning of our wedding was an enjoyable experience because of Katie and her expertise!! Amazing person and wedding planner!!! -

Private Estate Wedding on Eastern Shore
We hired Katie Parks as our wedding planner based on recommendations from neighbors here on the Eastern Shore. We interviewed wedding planners from the DC area from where we hailed as well as Katie. We wanted to work with local vendors for our wedding and figured that working with a local wedding planner is the way to go. After talking with her we felt very comfortable with her interpersonal style, experience, and structured approach to wedding planning. But of course, we didn't know how things would go for our wedding. We also wanted to have the wedding at our place on the water here on the Eastern Shore, and we knew that would create additional logistical challenges distinct from a standard wedding venue.
The wedding was fabulous. It was executed so beautifully. Katie was the virtuoso conductor that orchestrated all the vendors to perfection, each playing each own's part to perfection, from ESTE on tents, to J Starrs Flower Barm, and Linwoods in catering, not to mention a dozen other vendors for this and that. Katie gave us multiple vendor options for each service needed and did not push us to one vendor or another. When we needed to switch horses with one key vendor, she found the perfect replacement. She designed a natural flow through the estate in a series of social pods from the ceremony site to the cocktail hour, the dock, and the reception.
Katie was supportive of everything we wanted to do that reflected our own style and taste, including incorporating custom touches we provided from flowers we grew, oysters we harvested, to the design and build of various parts of the wedding. We had a very discerning crowd from Washington DC and afar and they were absolutely blown away. We heard "10/10" several times without even asking. Many said "best wedding they've ever been to". And while we know people make the wedding what it is, Katie set the stage for everyone to have an amazing and joyous time. We are forever grateful to how well this wedding was planned and executed by Katie.
Maybe her best quality for this business is patience. She had to deal with our own wedding committee of family members, each of whom had his and her own opinion. She deftly navigated those family dynamics and showed supreme patience to allow us to come to consensus decisions by giving us informed options.
Finally, cost and budgeting is a key factor in any wedding. As is value for the money spent. Working with Katie Parks Events, the value to cost ratio is very high. For her capabilities to execute a world class wedding, I expect Katie's availability will get more scarce. Get her while you can. -

Calling Katie was the best decision we made a year before the wedding! She has a very calm and friendly demeanor and is enjoyable to work with. Katie provided vendor lists, a timeline of tasks to complete, and a budget to guide and track our spending! We had an outdoor reception at a private residence, so everything needed to be rented. Katie went above and beyond and handled all of the ordering of the tent, tables, chairs, plates, silver, linens and more! She knew what we needed, and nothing was missing--she thought of everything! It was all beautiful. Everyone was so impressed with how it all turned out. We all had a wonderful weekend with friends and family. I slept well each night knowing I needn't worry because we had Katie! She's worth her weight in gold! Book her now; she'll make you look both smart and clever! -

One of the best things we did and the best money spent for our wedding was on Katie Parks. She is incredibly organized, communicative and overall just a really enjoyable person to work with. She was so helpful with every little detail of the wedding big and small. She has worked in the wedding industry for many years and already had a working relationship with most (if not all) of our vendors. This came in handy when our shuttle service had a major issue a day before the wedding! She had already been in contact with another local transportation company she had worked with for other weddings. What could have been a big issue turned out to be a small change of vendors thanks to Katie. Our wedding was an outdoor tented wedding and she worked incredibly hard to make everything come together for us. Hire her!!! -

Katie went above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we wanted for our wedding and more. From her knowledge of the industry to her prompt communication with vendors, Katie was professional and on top of things every step of the way. She perfectly captured my style and vision, and she quickly resolved any unexpected changes the day of our event. Wedding planning during Covid was stressful to say the least, but Katie was there every step of the way- prepared and positive. Aside from my groom, Katie was the best wedding decision I made :)

We created what to many would have been considered a complex wedding. We were onsite for four days and Katie was the calm that brought the details together. She allowed us to create the wedding we wanted while providing the guidance we needed thru the entire process. She offered us great recommendations with vendors, keep incredible detailed notes and plans, and wasn't afraid to step in and offer an extra hand when it was needed as we traversed our way thru an incredible wedding. -
