My experience with White Lace & Promises has been wonderful. I got both my dress and veil from them and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful and understanding.

WLP was so helpful and caring through our whole wedding process. My wedding gown, bridesmaids gowns, mother of bride and grandmother of bride all bought dresses here :) we had as much time as needed for my first time trying on dresses and found the dress the same day. I had two bridesmaids who were out of town guests so they were very flexible with them and working them in for fittings when they came in town. Received phone calls constantly about when each persons dress arrived and that was very helpful. The staff is wonderful and willing to help in any way. Love the alterations lady and she worked so hard to get my bridesmaids altered on their first visit. Thanks for making our day so special!!!

This place....OMG. We walked in and we were like kids in a candy store. There were so many dresses to choose from and EVERY singe one of them was gorgeous. I didn't even know where to begin! I went to several other bridal stores before this one and they all had the worst selection of ball gowns. White Lace & Promises had SO MANY ball gowns! The best part was they weren't all crazy expensive. They had a large range of prices but I don't think I even tried on a gown over $2500. Please please please go to this store, you won't be sorry.

I was a little up in the air as to what kind of dress I was looking for. I really only knew that my budget was on the lower end of the spectrum. I really enjoyed my time at White Lace & Promises and so did everyone that went with me to my appointment. Everyone was so helpful and really let me control every aspect of my shopping experience. Then my fitting appointments were so comforting and I knew everything was taken care of. I had no idea that I would be able to end up with my dream dress in my budget! I even was able to cancel my other dress shopping appointments after my first visit because I had found the gown. Thanks so much for a stress free experience!

Fabulous service! They provide a very spacious and private area for the bride and those who accompany her as she shops for her dress, to comfortably try on and select a dress. The dresses are beautiful and one of a kind. They treat you like you are their most important customer. And when my daughter fractured her ankle a few weeks before the wedding they hemmed her dress at the last minute since she did not know if she would be in a cast, boot, splint or regular shoe the day of the wedding. They played an integral part in creating a perfect wedding for my daughter.

I could not be MORE enthusiastic about my recommendation!!

White Lace and Promises was the first bridal salon that I booked when I began looking for my wedding dress. I then had several other appointments with other high end bridal salons that I drove to Nashville for following this appointment where I fully expected to find my dress. I was disappointed when I came home empty handed. I ended up scheduling another appointment with them when I got back at which time I found my perfect dress! White Lace and Promises blew those places out of the water both in service and selection! Not only have they been AMAZING to work with but the price of my dream dress ended up fitting perfectly within my budget.

I had such a great experience at White Lace. Amanda was my bridal consultant and she was AWESOME! I was completely overwhelmed by all of beautiful gowns. I tried several on and liked different things about each one. She brought a gown in my room for me to try and it was "the one". She listened to what I was looking for and kept me calm and excited the whole time. I also found bridesmaid dresses online that I really wanted. They did not carry that particular style in the store but they ordered the dresses for me! I would highly recommend White Lace & Promises to any brides out there.

THE perfect dress

Had such a wide range of dresses in regards to both style and price range!
My dress was PERFECT - high quality, beautiful, and held up to a day of rain and a night of dancing
They do everything for you - alterations, storage, and will even steam it for you TWICE
My appointment here trying on dresses was such a good experience. Really helped make the day even more special.

I was beyond pleased with white lace & promises! The ladies at the boutique were more than willing to help me find my dream dress. I brought a fairly big group of girls in to help me shop & they were so accommodating to us, even with a busy store! The quality of the dresses at this boutique was unmatched compared to other bridal boutiques in Knoxville. I said yes to the dress at white lace & promises!

The staff was very helpful in helping me order my dress that they didn't even have in their store. The selection of bridesmaids dresses were great and I was so happy I was able to find the perfect dress for my girls. My entire experience with them was awesome!

The best place in Knoxville to find and purchase a wedding dress, hands down!! They are very professional and have the best selection!! I was more than pleased with my experience here. They also have the best alterations rate and services.

I spoke to White Lace and Promises when I was looking for someone to do the alterations on my dress after the boutique where I bought my dress closed. They were willing to alter my dress even though I did not purchase it from them. They were helpful and courteous from the very beginning. The charged a flat rate for alterations that included everything short or dress reconstruction. I bought my dress shortly after I got engaged (which was almost two years before my wedding date) and by the time I did my fitting the dress needed to be taken in more then two inches. The did a beautiful job on the alterations. The dress looked just as good as the the day that it came in at the store. When I got it back after the final fitting they had it on a decorative hanger and had stuffed the bodice to make it look good for pictures before I put it on. on the top of the hanger they had attached a card congratulating me on my wedding that had been signed by everyone that worked in the store. It was a sweet touch that mad going through them special to me. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Sublime Experience

First off, I started late when ordering my bridesmaids dresses and my wedding gown. I was worried that I would not find anything, since I had something very particular in mind. However, they have so many different styles to chose from, the second dress I found was the one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My bridesmaids were fitted and styled without me being there, but I had previously picked out a color and a design. They gave them design choices that would compliment the one chosen by my daughter, the Maid of Honor. I highly recommended this store. My daughter and I have both bought our wedding gowns here. You will not go wrong. Plus, they offer payment plans as well, if needed. Definitely worth a stop!!

From the moment I entered White Lace & Promises, I knew this was where I would find my dress. It had the nicest atmosphere of all the bridal shops I'd been searching in, with friendly staff and beautiful interior decorating. I'm frugal, so when I heard there was a sale rack, I headed straight back to check it out, and instantly found plenty of beautiful dresses, some as low as $200, but of such high quality that you'd never know. The staff brought over lots of accessories and jewelry to try on with the dresses I liked, without hovering or pressuring. I found my dress the first visit there, and all of the alterations, storage in-store and spot cleaning was $200 flat. After a few months, going in for a fitting, they had a sale rack of bridesmaid dresses for only $25 each, and since my only requirement was that my three bridesmaids be in black, they each picked out the dress they liked best and got the tailoring for only $25 more. My mom also bought her burgundy mother-of-the-bride dress in the same $25 sale. In short, they outfitted half the bridal party for less than I could have hoped, all the while providing excellent service and beautiful dresses.

I had the best experience dress shopping at White Lace and Promises! It is the only wedding gown store where I had that special bridal moment that I believe all brides should experience! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure all of their brides are happy and that they have the best shopping experience possible. Rebecca is the best!! They have the best selection of gowns as well as the best quality by far!

Shawna was such a great asset to the whole experience of dress shopping which I was so dreading. She was knowledgeable, receptive, great eye for what looked good on me, and she was so sweet and and it was like shopping with a good friend. This boutique has some of the most beautiful selection of dresses I've seen in the Knoxville area...found my dress there after a few try on's...something I didn't think would ever happen that fast and amazed of the quality and elegance I got for half my budget with alterations included. Would recommend going there first before going anywhere else in Knoxville.

Loved them. Rather than combing through all the dresses, I asked the ladies to bring me gowns that would make me look "thin and fabulous." 4th dress in- I found "The One." The kind of experience seen in movies and hoped for by every bride.

If you are looking for a wonderful experience while looking for your dress, White Lace and Promises definitely delivers. From the moment you walk in to find your perfect dress, to alterations, all the way to picking it up right before the wedding, the service that they provide is wonderful! Such a great bridal experience!

I had such a great experience finding my wedding dress at White Lace & Promises. The staff gives you their full and undivided attention at all times making you feel extra special and confident in the dress selection process. My consultant paid close attention to the details I loved about the different dresses I tried on and hand selected the perfect dress for me. All my alterations were handled by WLP as well and that was another exceptional experience. The seamstress made sure every detail was absolutely perfect - my dress fit like a glove. They even steamed the dress for me before the big day. I highly recommend going to WLP to find your perfect wedding dress!

I began searching for the perfect gown several months prior to my wedding and was astounded at the level of service I received at White Lace and Promises. I searched multiple locations to find an all lace gown that would be functional and perfect for my wedding day. I made multiple trips to bridal stores across my home town as well as frequent phone calls to determine if any shop carried a gown that met my criteria. After several failed attempts at the other stores, I contacted White Lace and Promises for assistance. My sales consultant, Sarah Duncan made an incomparable effort to help me find the perfect gown. She went through several searches of the gowns in the store and within minutes she was able to pull multiple gowns that met my exact criteria as well as others that could be altered to meet my criteria. The staff made an exceptional effort to keep me informed on the ordering and alterations process. I had my alterations done in store and they were perfect!!I must emphasize that it is this type service that exceeds customer expectations and makes for a happy bride!

I got my dress from White Lace & Promises. When I first went in, it was after work, and I was just stopping in to see one specific dress. Olivia was very accommodating, and easy to work with. In my second visit when I brought back my mother & bridesmaid they were just as friendly. Alterations are done in a timely manner, and they sometimes run promotions where you can get a discount on your alterations (I brought in 3 items for a women's shelter and got FREE alterations with the purchase of my dress). Definitely recommend working with them.

This review is based upon my purchase for my wedding veil only. The store is absolutely gorgeous, and even though it was very crowded with brides trying on their wedding gowns. the sales rep assisting my Mom and I with my veil search did a great job assisting me at the same time as other customers. I found the exact veil I had in mind - beautiful lace trim - for a very reasonable/fair cost. The veil arrived timely, in plenty of time before the wedding, even though it had to be custom ordered due to a specific length being requested. While I had already selected my wedding gown previous to visiting WL&P for the veil purchase, if I had not already purchased a gown, I'm confident I would have found a beautiful gown for the big day at WL&P. I think this veil really completed the gown I purchased elsewhere, and for that alone, WL&P gets a 6 out of 5 stars from me! Thanks again!

Wedding dress of my dreams!

My experience at White Lace & Promises was wonderful from start to finish. They had a beautiful, versatile collection of gowns to look through and try on. My consultant helped guide me towards options she thought I might like after getting to know my style and personality while still giving me free reign to try on absolutely anything I was drawn to, respecting my opinion, and encouraging me to try on different styles, fabrics and silhouettes that I may not have normally gravitated towards. The environment was bright and friendly, and all of the girls working that day made me feel so special! They did a great job of involving my mom and mother-in-law throughout the process and helped make it special for them as well. The alterations department did a fantastic job and really listened to my opinion so that my dress could be perfectly customized, and they were flexible with my appointment dates (which was so appreciated as I was planning my TN wedding from out of town). This shop was my first and last dress appointment - I ended up finding my dress that day and knew I had without a doubt found "the one" - a dress that was everything I could have ever envisioned and more. Can't recommend this shop enough!

Wondering and Relaxing Experience

My mom, Aunt, and I found my dress last December 2020 and it was such a relaxing experience. We had plenty of space to sit and I felt so comfortable trying on dresses. It was a wonderful experience! Everyone was super sweet and helpful. I definitely recommend going to White Lace & Promises.

I absolutely loved my experience with WLP! Small boutique but a lot of options and high quality. It was my first day even looking at wedding dresses and thanks to their knowledge, assertiveness, and flexibility, I was able to find my dress that day (with 15% off discount on the dress for first day). I started the day off at David's Bridal in Knoxville, which I WOULD NOT recommend to anyone, literally wanted to run away and did...to WLP. I got to WLP a half-hour before my appointment and luckily they were able to assist me. On majority of their dresses they have tags with pictures of the dresses on models, which helps a lot since it is hard to tell what the dress looks like on the hanger. I tried on about 7-10 dresses and I did not feel like a burden to Alexis (my consultant), which was nice. She gave me all her attention and I even tried on the dress I chose 3-4 times without any complaints from her. Highly recommend!

The Staff went above an beyond to help me find my Wedding Gown. They had information on changes that could be made to the dresses I liked an were quick to check on any info they couldn't come up with right off hand. I felt the options were amazing an prices also were wonderful. With there help I selected my Dress an Shoes the day of my appt. Made the experience great

I'm not one who necessarily likes shopping, especially when it comes to something as important as a wedding dress! They made the process so simple and were helpful through everything. My consultant during my initial visit was patient and encouraging which helped keep me calm. Fittings were a breeze as well. The seamstress was fabulous! Not to mention that they held my dress until the day before which was one less thing for me to stress about! I would highly recommend to anyone, especially if looking for an Essence of Australia gown - that's what I ended up with!

The best experience!

I am the most indecisive person on the planet, so I was really stressing about finding the "perfect" dress for my big day on 12/28/19. I was also worried being that I had 10 people come with me to my try on. White Lace made it SO easy for me. They supported me in what I liked, they encouraged me to try on different types of dresses, and they made me feel comfortable in my own skin, which is priceless to someone who struggles with body image. I would recommend WLP to any bride who wants to feel cared for, understood, and confident in their dress!

I originally looked at dresses at a shop in GA when I was visiting family for the holiday and had to plan my wedding from VA. I fell in love with two Essense of Australia dresses and knew I wanted to purchase my dress near our venue in Knoxville. White Lace and Promises was the only option but I was very pleased with their shop. I had to purchase a bridesmaids dress there a few years ago, so I was already familiar with the store. I was able to walk in a ask to try on the one dress I thought I wanted to purchase. The sales associates were helpful and able to assist me quickly. They called me as soon as my dress had arrived, and were able to get in me for a fitting that weekend since I was already going to be in town. The seamstress was very nice & helpful and my dress came out beautifully. She even hurt her foot the morning of one of my alterations and still came in to see me because I was rarely in town. My only complaint was since I didn’t "shop" there (only looked at one dress in their store) they didn’t make me feel like I was "saying yes to the dress." I have seen other girls purchase their dress & get cupcakes and take pictures but I wasn’t given any of that. I would recommend this shop for their beautiful dresses, wide selection & helpful employees.

I had a last minute dilemma finding the right color sashes for our chairs. I had ordered some inexpensive ones on ebay and they were the wrong color. With one week left to go, I popped into White lace and Promises and they pulled through with the right color and an even better price than anywhere else. I purchased my wedding dress here for my Great Gatsby themed wedding and I absolutely loved it! The staff was amazing to work with from beginning to end. When I first walked in I was excited to see they had such a wide variety of dresses to choose from. They gave me a few clips to place on the dresses I liked and they took them back as I clipped them. The clips made it very easy and relaxing to shop there because I didn't have someone hovering around me while I looked at dresses. Lindsey was the sales associate helping me and I absolutely loved her! She was very sweet and personable and made me feel very comfortable. Sally was my seamstress and she was also incredible! She made sure that my dress fit me like a glove and accentuated all of my curves properly. She was very easy to talk to and the dress turned out absolutely perfect!

Wedding Dress

The ladies at White Lace and Promises were the best. My mom and I went there for a first visit with no intention of finding my wedding dress that day, but I did. I loved how the girls provided me insight but also let me look around and paid close attention to what details I loved in each dress to help me find the perfect one.

Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not fun, but when my vail was delayed the ladies at WLP made sure I had a sample for my hair trail and were so calming and kept me updated on the location of my actual vail. It arrived 5 days before my wedding!

Their seamstress is also the best and made my dress fit perfectly. I will definitely recommend WLP to any engaged lady or bridesmaid in Knoxville or surrounding areas.

The girls at White Lace & Promises were very helpful! It took me many dresses to find the right one and I found it here! I had been to about eight different dress shops by the time I found White Lace and Promises and I honestly wasn't expecting much as this point. They were super nice and helpful during the try-on process, and accommodating during my post-purchase second thoughts where they let me try it on again the day after, and ordered the exact right size when they placed the order for my dress! My dress from White Lace & Promises was absolutely beautiful. The only issue I had throughout the whole process was that the seamstress that was assigned to my dress completely butchered my dress. I won't go into too much detail, but my dress ended up at the lady's house, looked nothing like the original dress, and smelled like cat pee when I picked it up. This was 4 days before my wedding. I contacted WL&P and they gave me their sample dress and altered it for free. However, I was not offered any sort of refund for having to wear a dress that so many people had tried on. Nonetheless, my dress was beautiful and perfect and I do not hold the mishaps against them. They were very sweet and accommodating and jumped through hoops to make sure I was satisfied.

White Lace and Promises was the first and only place I dress-shopped. I found my dress the first time I went shopping. The stylist who helped me was absolutely phenomenal. She actually picked the dress out for me. I also did an alterations package with White Lace & Promises. The seamstress did a mostly excellent job. She actually made it a little too tight in the top of the dress which caused some issues with buttoning one of the panels behind the laces of the back of my dress, but we just laced me in really really good the day of the wedding, and it ended up not being an issue.

Everything from my initial emails with Chasta to my appointment with Cassandra was amazing! Chasta was welcoming and warm (can be hard to achieve over email) when I was requesting an appointment and asking questions. When I arrived, all of the ladies at the boutique were so friendly. I think my consultant, Cassandra, was perfect for me - direct, sassy, sweet, and patient. She was so helpful, pulling dresses as the appointment evolved that would suit my taste and the look I wanted to achieve. No agenda, it felt like she truly wanted to find me the perfect dress. She also made the appointment fun. I didn't think I was a bride that needed a "say yes to the dress" level of service and thought about buying an inexpensive dress online, but I'm so glad I decided to book an appointment here. Found my dream dress!

Gracie was my stylist at White Lace and Promise and she was amazing and so sweet! She was not over bearing but made sure she spoke up when needed to to help out with the selection process. The store had many dresses to pick from and was laid out perfectly! I will say, I wore my dress twice due to having 2 ceremonies and 1 reception because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the second time I wore it 2 of my bustles broke and one of my strap strands broke. Overall, I loved my dress and experience at White Lace and Promises!!

Wow!!! Thank you so much to everyone at White Lace & Promises, they did a great job with my dress!! I had a modest cut made out of my dress and it came out so much nicer than it was originally!!! I was so impressed because you didn't feel like cattle at White Lace & Promises, you felt special!!! And they made my dress modest which is the way that I wanted it!!! You may pay a little more, but overall it is worth it!!

I got my wedding gown from White Lace and Promises and had a great experience with them. The dress was made one month earlier than expected and it was very easy to schedule fittings and seamstress appointments whenever I needed one. The boutique type of store is very pretty inside which makes every girl feel pretty when they try the gowns on. Private dressing rooms with mirrors allow for an intimate experience and they are big enough to bring friends and family along! The selection is not huge, but the variety of dresses available is so broad that there is something for every type of bride. The associates are knowledgable and very helpful, too!

What a fantastic place to find your wedding gown! I had a very positive experience from the minute I met my consultant Debbie, to the very last fitting- such an amazing place! This store has a great selection of dresses, and the consultants work extremely hard to find each bride the dress of their dreams. They also are dedicated to finding bridesmaids dresses as well! All of your wedding party needs can be met at this one store. The alterations process was a breeze, and their work is incredible. I was also able to find all my accessories and jewelry at this shop as well- truly a one stop shop! I am looking forward to being a lifetime customer! The only negative part- sometimes, it can be difficult to reach someone on the phone-- all the consultants are most likely helping in store customers and are extremely busy!

This was the first dress shop I visited. I had set up an appointment and when I got there, my personal consultant was waiting on me. She gave me a tour of the shop and then let me browse and put "clips" on all the dresses I wanted to try. She helped me in the dresses, as needed, and gave her opinion along with my family. The first dress I tried on was actually "the one" and she agreed with my family. I didn't like that it was sleeveless so she suggested a jacket that matched and buttoned in the back so it just looks like a part of my dress. I couldn't try on the sample because it was TINY, but when the real thing came in it worked perfect and made the dress just what I wanted. several of the other employees commented on how well it went together.

I actually ended up buying a sample gown so I got a fantastic deal and they still gave me the January promotion of free alterations, which was huge cost savings for me. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would highly recommend them.

One thing to not when I was there - they did not carry any white dresses. They all were some type of ivory.

WL&P was my third salon for trying on gowns. The gowns were a leap above the others (David\'s and Alfred Angelo) in quality. The material was quality and the details were spectacular.\r\n\r\nDevon was our salesperson - and she was encouraging. The sample dress that I ended up ordering was actually WAAAY too small for my full hips and Devon literally talked me into trying it on because she thought I\'d like it. I thought I was going to break the sample - but once I had it on - I knew I loved it. \r\n\r\nThe dresses hit the high end of my budget (2000) as did the veil I ended up ordering - but they are absolutely beautiful and i can\'t say a bad thing about their service. \r\n\r\nThe seamstress schedule is pretty full - so don\'t delay on getting your fittings and don\'t screw up and be late. It\'ll be hard to fit you back into the schedule.

This dress shop was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is so sopisticated and the selection of gowns is excellent. I found the gown I ended up choosing the very first time I stepped into the store and I wasn't even seriously looking at the time. The prices can get a little steep, but the gowns are worth it. The staff is so helpful and it is very easy to make appointments or walk in.

Great environment to find a dress either by yourself or with an entourage. Altering and fitting is going great so far also, although costed more than I expected.

I purchased my dream wedding dress from here and I absolutely love it! I wish I could wear it every day! The location is just beautiful and the attendants are so great. The dress took a while to come in, so order far in advance. And I ordered a bra and a slip, as well and they didn't come in until a few weeks after the dress came in. Again, plan in advance. I couldn't schedule my fittings when I had planned on because I had to wait on my undergarments to come in. But I would recommend this place to anyone. They specialize in dream dresses!

White Lace & Promises is such a wonderful store! Not only did the girls here help me find my dress, they also helped me find my bridesmaid dresses! They made my experience unique to me and truly helped me find what I was looking for and were very honest with all questions asked. Although the dresses are a little more, they are FAR better quality than other stores and they offer a great variety!

Very happy with the service provided at White Lace & Promises. Salesladies were always very attentive to me when I was in the store and my alterations process was very easy. Dress was beautiful as well! Only one little hiccup with making my final payment, but when I contacted the store the issue was resolved quickly and pleasantly. I would not hesitate to recommend White Lace & Promises to another bride.

Had a small issue when I was supposed to try on a dress only to find out five minutes before my appointment that they'd sold it off the rack! But they were able to order one from another location, no harm done!
Other than that the consultants took care of me and were very personable. Bought my dress there and I can't wait to try it on!

My experience at White Lace and Promises was excellent. I was treated like royalty from the beginning and the service there is very good. The best part of my dealings with them was the alterations. There is another reviewer on here that said Shawn was unprofessional as a seamstress. I don't know what happened but I have never met a more professional and talented seamstress. I wanted some pretty extensive changes to my gown and she was able to really understand what I wanted and then deliver what she promised. The alterations schedule is tight with appointments being a half an hour, and they do require that you be on time, but Shawn was always as accommodating as she could be. In the end, White Lace and Shawn made my wedding a fabulous day!
