The Best Wedding Planner
Wanda was phenomenal, well organized, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. She's an expert in wedding planning. Her communication was on point and her price was reasonable. She made planning a destination wedding less stressful. Her recommendations for the vendors were exactly what we were looking for. She went above and beyond for us and was available whenever we needed her via email, text and phone call. When we had last minute changes for guests, Wanda was prepared. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. She made our dream wedding in Puerto Rico come true and exceeded our expectations. The wedding was perfect! All our guests were highly impressed by Wanda and the way our wedding turned out. If you want the best of the best, look no further. We can assure you that you won't be disappointed! Long distance wedding planning? Wanda Garcia will have you covered!
WG Special Events is an extraordinary wedding planner- there is too much to say in her praise for such a little space. First and foremost, she is professional, experienced, and tasteful all while being patient, warm, and kind. Wedding planning is stressful but Wanda always found a way to calm my nerves with her expertise.
As a bride and groom in California that had no idea what we wanted nor what was realistic to ask of ourselves, our vendors, or our venue within our budget in Puerto Rico, Wanda helped educate us and ultimately bring our ever changing wedding vision to reality. She helped us go from 0 to 100 in only 8 months!
With her years of experience in the industry, she brings so much to the table- she will help you book the right vendors for what you want, help you stay on top of your timeline, give you new ideas to improve your wedding day, and will always support what you want. She also makes herself available to you even if she is busy with plenty of clients and finds time to answer any all questions clearly. She is very thorough and organized as well, keeping track of everything you discuss, all of your contracts, and so on.
She actually single handedly prevented two major mishaps at our wedding. First when she was checking in with all the vendors to make sure everything was set for our wedding day, she found one of our vendors had not realized I had actually booked them and ensured they would be there on our day! Furthermore, the day before the wedding we realized two of my packages of stationary from Zola did not arrive (they arrived weeks after my wedding!) Wanda went out of her way to go to the store for me and make an entire set of new place cards and brought us table beautiful table numbers. Although I was frantic when we realized these things were missing, Wanda did everything in her power to keep me calm and make me a happy bride even if it though it added so much more to her own plate.
I am forever grateful to her and cannot recommend her enough. She will make sure you have a perfect day. -

The Best of the Bestest Wedding Planner- look no more
My wedding took 2 years of planning and Wanda was there every step of the way. She is very knowledgeable of what she does, she is straight forward and cuts to the point.
She keeps you up dated with every detail, always keeps you in the loop.
She wants your wedding to be just as perfect as you want it. She goes beyond her duties. Very professional and gave us many recommendations which were all fabulous and ended up using.
Wanda is very detailed and very particular and again has years of experience in this industry and this is why we choose her.
If your looking for a planner LOOK NO MORE. Wanda is the ONE. Even my entire family said she is very good and they didn’t need to work with her. Just based on them seeing her work and direct they said she is a wonderful person. They all loved her and we love her. We built a great friendship throughout the 2 years and her last words to me were this is why she does what she does, the relationship she builds and seeing the results brings her happiness.
Wanda you are by far the best!! She’s not a 5 star. She’s a MILLION!!!! -

Wanda is perfect!!!
Wanda really is an amazing planner. Throughout the entire process she kept great communication and provided recommendations of vendors that exceeded all of our expectations. If you are on the fence about it I would say absolutely hire Wanda, you will not regret it. Her expertise and thoroughness really made our wedding more than we could have ever asked for. I would recommend Wanda to anyone who is searching for an amazing planner (I already have two times and it’s only been one week since the wedding). -

Wanda is an absolute gem. She was there for me from start to finish, came up with beautiful ideas that made our day special, and when the officiant we hired ourselves dropped out at the last minute, Wanda found an exceptional replacement who made our day so special. Wanda is detail-oriented, easy to work with, and makes you feel like your big day is her biggest priority. Wanda helped us plan a rehearsal dinner, our wedding day, and a brunch the following day to say goodbye to our guests. Wanda was always there to meet with me when I felt stressed or overwhelmed and assured me that everything would go perfectly— and it did! Our guests said it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever gone to, and I owe that in large part to Wanda’s expertise. Hiring Wanda was the best money we could have spent on the entire wedding, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. If she’s available, book her! You will not be disappointed. -

Wanda was a breath of fresh air to work with! So strategic and organized. Planning a destination wedding in Puerto Rico was very stressful, however, Wanda was on top of everything! Even our whole wedding itinerary was so on point and right on schedule. Me and my husband were very pleased with her services. At the end my husband and I were able to take ALL of it in, and our entire wedding surpassed our expectations. Great teamwork! Highly recommend her! -

Amazing wedding planner
Wanda is an amazing wedding planner! I truly do not know what I would’ve done without her help. After having to cancel my wedding the first time because of covid and then have complications with omicron Wanda was so helpful with everything. If you hire Wanda you are truly in for a treat, she has such great taste she always has great recommendations for your wedding or if you need good places to see or eat. Every vendor she suggested was amazing, because of her so many of my wedding guests said it was the best wedding they’ve been to. Wanda was always kind, responsive, on time, and helpful from start to finish. She works so hard and she truly takes care of you, she will always have such a special place in my heart because she despite everything she made sure my day was special. Even when Omicron hit and so many of my guests dropped our last minute she made sure to contact every vendor and let them know. Thank you Wanda for being the best wedding planner! -

I cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are to have found Wanda for our wedding. We live in Chicago and knew we'd want someone in Puerto Rico to help us put everything together. We picked Wanda because of her stellar reviews, but we had no idea just how much she was willing to go above and beyond for us. She recommended excellent vendors, stayed in constant communication with us, and thought of every tiny detail that we would have never considered on our own. COVID really made things a lot harder for us, but it did not stop Wanda from helping us plan the wedding of our dreams. We regarded Ms. Wanda as our Fairy Godplanner when she started helping us plan what turned out to be a magical wedding. We reached out to her after our original wedding plans fell through. She guided us on finding the perfect venue and helped us find the best vendors for our day. She made sure to keep up with the government guidelines for weddings in Puerto Rico since this was happening during the pandemic and made sure our wedding was pandemic friendly. She listened to what we wanted and gave advice from her experiences when we weren't sure about things. On the actual wedding day, as the bride, I wasn't worried about a thing because I knew Ms. Wanda would have everything handled. To me, that piece of mind and being able to enjoy our day to the fullest was worth every penny. We are entirely grateful we had her as our Fairy Godplanner -

Wanda was amazing! It's hard to get a feel for someone by just researching them online. I was nervous because I didn't see anyone that looked like me on her page but she exceeded all our expectations. She orchestrated a surprise my husband to be because his family was unable to attend. She planned a helicopter ride over our venue along with a town car, champagne waiting, and was able to have our photographer capture every moment. She helped my husband plan a firework surprise for me. All of the vendors she suggested were top notch. We traveled from the States with our officiant and she helped us through the process of obtaining the correct paperwork. Everything she did and suggested went above and beyond. I couldn't be happier with choosing Wanda as our Event Planner. -

Looking for a wedding planner? Look no more! If you are lucky enough to get Wanda, get her now! Wanda loves what she does, and it shows. Since the beginning, she was super responsive, even when we were just browsing. Her professionalism and excellent customer service convinced us to get a wedding planner.
Wanda was on point finding and coordinating with the best of the best, from flowers, cake, music, mariachis, everything. Having a destination wedding can be stressful, but if you have Wanda, I assure you your life and planning will be easier. She is very supportive, and I can’t thank her enough for her availability. As a professional couple from the Washington, DC area, our schedules are always packed and we do a really bad job at focusing on other stuff that is not part of our daily lives, needless to say that Wanda was there for us since the beginning to the end to make sure we got what we wanted.
Her positiveness and willingness to collaborate make it so much fun and easy to plan from another city. She took the time to go and meet with these vendors, visit our venue to share videos and pictures and much more. We are so lucky Wanda was available for all of this because without her, we would probably settle with going to the courthouse lol
You can't go wrong with Wanda! If you have the chance to work with her, well then you are all set! Happy wedding planning and trust me, Wanda will make sure you wedding surpassed your expectations!

a dream wedding came true
Wanda Garcia truly is one of the best people we have ever met, both personality and profession wise. If it wasn’t for her, our destination wedding would have never happened. We contacted her only 6 months before the big day and she made it happen. Wanda put together a dream team for us, from caterer, officiant, makeup artist/hair stylist to photographer. Everyone exceeded our expectations. The wedding turned out perfectly, even more amazing than we thought it would be. It was a beautiful ceremony with everyone moment captured by ther talented Esteban Daniel. My makeup and hair was nothing short of perfection. The food and decor was phenomenal. Just out of this world. We couldn’t ask for anything better. Thanks so much for everything you did for us Wanda. It was the most important day of our lives and it was a day to remember. -

Amy Sent on 07/13/2018So glad to have hired Wanda as a wedding planner. She had to work quickly because we only reached out to her 2 months before the wedding. She did some initial consulting up front advising us on locations and other arrangements. I was thinking I could do most of this on my own but then decided it would be better to have someone help. After seeing everything she did for us and every detail taken care of I am so glad we used a wedding planner. She made sure we were prepared for the marriage license process in Puerto Rico. She personally helped us get our documents when we had issues and took us to the office to get everything prepared. She had to do some last minute preparations for us and made everything effortless. Our wedding was less than 20 people but she made it amazing and everything we wanted. She guided us along the way and did everything with great attitude and joy. She was a pleasure to work with and anyone who hires her will not be disappointed!

Thelis Sent on 01/23/2016I began my wedding planning process thinking I would be able to handle everything, because I am Puerto Rican and even though I live in the states, my mother lives there half the time and I also have family on the island that have connections in the wedding circuit. However, 3 months before the wedding, I started to panic. I realized that there were so many more details to getting "legally" married in PR than I had realized. Plus working with vendors also became challenging, because I didn't know how to go about finding good people, etc.
I then decided I NEED a wedding coordinator. I had already booked our rehearsal dinner the Ritz Carlton in San Juan, so I contacted them to see if they could recommend a good coordinator in the area. I spent an entire day calling down their list of names. What I mainly came across was a lot of very pushy sales pitches, mostly focusing on our budget.
The conversation with Wanda was completely different!!! She described to me what SHE would do for ME. She was very straight forward about what her service was and how she went about it--it was exactly what we were looking for.
First, she explained that she makes the process of getting legally married in PR very simple and explained how. Check!
Second, she said that she would suggest vendors she works with, but is willing to work with others we may provide. Check!
Third, she said she is always available thru email for any questions or concerns (this proved to be absolutely true!). Check!
Fourth, she said she would be in charge of contacting and managing all the vendors. Check!
She was on point, dedicated, took EVERY request I made seriously and did EVERYTHING in her power to make fulfill our wishes and she did it with grace, genuine consideration and EXCELLENCE!!!! I cannot say enough great things about Wanda Garcia!!! She was such a pleasure to work with!!! So professional--She truly makes you feel like she's there for YOU! Because of her hard work our wedding day was perfect!!! -

She took all the worry out of planning a destination wedding and went above and beyond to help us create the most amazing wedding, and rehearsal dinner! Not only was she ever only an hour or two away from responding to an email, but she always seemed to be a step ahead in the process. Her calm demeanor, and her amazing attention to detail helped ease our nerves as the weekend approached. She sent us the best vendors in PR, and never gave up until we were satisfied. It was clear that all of our vendors loved working with her too.
Due to weather, our wedding day was not exactly the day we planned--but thanks to Wanda, it was truly exceptional. Once it was clear we would not be able to have our ceremony outside, she was able to help create, in a limited amount of time, the most magical ceremony experience. Our ceremony ended up being a complete surprise to me, which made it that much more special and amazing when I finally got to walk down the aisle. Wanda is worth her wait in gold! The weekend could not have gone any better, and we are so thankful for her unbelievable services! -

Liz Sent on 05/23/2012We recently had our wedding in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Our ceremony was at El Morro and our reception was at El Convento. We cannot say enough about our wedding planner Wanda Garcia. This was a destination wedding so it was so crucial to have Wanda in San Juan. She provided us with names for all of our vendors and everyone she suggested was absolutely wonderful. She was timely in her communication with us and so knowledgeable in all she did. Wanda is extremely professional and remained calm throughout the whole wedding process. She planned events for us on Friday night, Saturday night, and coordinated our wedding day on Sunday. We had many different events and she made it all happen! All our special events were organized and we did not have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding. Wanda also worked hard to coordinate two trips for us to Puerto Rico prior to the wedding and arranged for us to meet all the vendors . Wanda's focus was always making sure we were happy with everything! I highly recommend her!! -

Raquel Sent on 11/24/2010Wanda Garcia is a great wedding planner! We hired her about 5 months before our wedding and met two months later in August. I must have drove her crazy with the amount of emails and pictures I sent her. At first, I couldn't make up my mind about the color scheme for my Spanish themed wedding. I had so many concerns about how they would look in the very artsy/busy Salon Martorell at the Hotel El Convento. She was so patient with me and offered many ideas and combination ideas. She was also extremely helpful in securing the vendors. Cakemaster Cassandra Davis recreated a cake that I sent her a picture of and it was so delicious that we ate the top part during our honeymoon. It never made it into the freezer! She was on target with the florist Gadiel Valentin who did the most amazing work on my imperial table centerpieces and bouquets. She secured the most amazing flamenco dancers, cigar rollers, ceremony musicians, cocktail trio and welcome dinner steel band. I truly got the best prices going through her.
During our weekend trip in August she even secured a tasting for us at our reception venue even though they don't normally do that for smaller weddings. We were treated like royalty. She also took us to meet the florist and gave us samples of cake and favors. We ended up ordering beautiful wooden boxes of Spanish Turron candy from Wanda directly. She personalized the gift cards to coordinate with our theme.
When we arrived in Puerto Rico for our wedding, she took us to get all of the marriage paperwork. We had forgotten a very important notarized letter and she went out of her way to find us a local notary and drove us there. This proved not to be so easy in PR as it is in the states but she made it happen. She was present at both my welcome reception Friday night as well as my wedding on Saturday and ready to take care of anything that came up. There were definitely a few kinks as to be expected but she kept her cool and always managed to calm me down. I would highly recommend her and feel free to email me with questions or for pictures. -

Isaura Sent on 01/16/2010Hiring Wanda Garcia as our wedding planner was absolutely the best decision we made in regards to our wedding. I'm in the military and got engaged six months into a 15 month deployment to Iraq. I contacted Wanda and other wedding coordinators around Puerto Rico's metro area through wedding wire. She replied immediately and we were impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and experience. I was probably a nightmare for Wanda. I'm Puerto Rican so I knew the area and wanted everything to be perfect. We planned the whole wedding by email. Wanda helped me with every little detail from calling my dad to get addresses for the guests to finding the best fashion designer in Puerto Rico to make my wedding dress for a fraction of the cost. I saw my dress for the first time six days before the wedding and it was gorgeous! The wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to Wanda. All my friends from the US and Puerto Rico loved it. But most importantly we enjoyed the whole experience because Wanda was always there to take care of everything. She is simply the best! -

Wanda was recommended to us by a friend of a friend and we're so glad she was. We never would have been able to pull off a covid-postponed, semi-destination wedding in PR without her. Her "week of" and "day of" execution was excellent - from our arrival in San Juan to the end of the wedding night she had everything covered. It was a huge relief for both us as the bride and the groom but also our parents to know everything was in good hands -- she filled a critical need between all involved!
