Long distance wedding planning? Wanda Garcia will have you covered!
WG Special Events is an extraordinary wedding planner- there is too much to say in her praise for such a little space. First and foremost, she is professional, experienced, and tasteful all while being patient, warm, and kind. Wedding planning is stressful but Wanda always found a way to calm my nerves with her expertise.
As a bride and groom in California that had no idea what we wanted nor what was realistic to ask of ourselves, our vendors, or our venue within our budget in Puerto Rico, Wanda helped educate us and ultimately bring our ever changing wedding vision to reality. She helped us go from 0 to 100 in only 8 months!
With her years of experience in the industry, she brings so much to the table- she will help you book the right vendors for what you want, help you stay on top of your timeline, give you new ideas to improve your wedding day, and will always support what you want. She also makes herself available to you even if she is busy with plenty of clients and finds time to answer any all questions clearly. She is very thorough and organized as well, keeping track of everything you discuss, all of your contracts, and so on.
She actually single handedly prevented two major mishaps at our wedding. First when she was checking in with all the vendors to make sure everything was set for our wedding day, she found one of our vendors had not realized I had actually booked them and ensured they would be there on our day! Furthermore, the day before the wedding we realized two of my packages of stationary from Zola did not arrive (they arrived weeks after my wedding!) Wanda went out of her way to go to the store for me and make an entire set of new place cards and brought us table beautiful table numbers. Although I was frantic when we realized these things were missing, Wanda did everything in her power to keep me calm and make me a happy bride even if it though it added so much more to her own plate.
I am forever grateful to her and cannot recommend her enough. She will make sure you have a perfect day.

The Best of the Bestest Wedding Planner- look no more
My wedding took 2 years of planning and Wanda was there every step of the way. She is very knowledgeable of what she does, she is straight forward and cuts to the point.
She keeps you up dated with every detail, always keeps you in the loop.
She wants your wedding to be just as perfect as you want it. She goes beyond her duties. Very professional and gave us many recommendations which were all fabulous and ended up using.
Wanda is very detailed and very particular and again has years of experience in this industry and this is why we choose her.
If your looking for a planner LOOK NO MORE. Wanda is the ONE. Even my entire family said she is very good and they didn’t need to work with her. Just based on them seeing her work and direct they said she is a wonderful person. They all loved her and we love her. We built a great friendship throughout the 2 years and her last words to me were this is why she does what she does, the relationship she builds and seeing the results brings her happiness.

Wanda really is an amazing planner. Throughout the entire process she kept great communication and provided recommendations of vendors that exceeded all of our expectations. If you are on the fence about it I would say absolutely hire Wanda, you will not regret it. Her expertise and thoroughness really made our wedding more than we could have ever asked for. I didn't think I needed a wedding planner lol. But there's so much stuff I didn't think about that is necessary for a wedding. Our wedding would not have happened without Wanda! Wanda understood our vision and the vibe we were going for while also keeping our budget in mind. She helped us find our venue and we used almost every vendor she recommended (they were all phenomenal, professional, and timely). Our wedding was so magical and absolutely NOTHING WENT WRONG. We owe it all to Wanda. Her expertise is unmatched, she is very professional, and well connected. She always asked what we wanted (and executed it perfectly!) and was able to stand up to the bold family members that thought they could tell her how things were going to go. Wanda is so amazing and absolutely knows what she's doing. Day of, her and her assistant handled everything. We didn't worry about a single thing. Wanda is an absolute gem. She was there for me from start to finish, came up with beautiful ideas that made our day special, and when the officiant we hired ourselves dropped out at the last minute, Wanda found an exceptional replacement who made our day so special. Wanda is detail-oriented, easy to work with, and makes you feel like your big day is her biggest priority. Wanda helped us plan a rehearsal dinner, our wedding day, and a brunch the following day to say goodbye to our guests. Wanda was always there to meet with me when I felt stressed or overwhelmed and assured me that everything would go perfectly— and it did! Our guests said it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever gone to, and I owe that in large part to Wanda’s expertise. Hiring Wanda was the best money we could have spent on the entire wedding, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. If she’s available, book her! You will not be disappointed.

Wanda - Absolutely AMAZING!
Where to start with WG - Special Events… we really don’t know where to start, because working with Wanda Garcia has been one of the most incredible experiences that we have ever received when it comes to service, personalization, value and just overall experience.
When we shifted to Wanda as our wedding coordinator, we had a very bad experience with a different Coordinator from a different organization that really left a sour taste in our mouth in regard to wedding planning. The previous organization we worked with told us that we were being unrealistic with our budget expectations and that we could not do our wedding with it. All of that said, when we met Wanda virtually, it was a true blessing. Wanda, after our first call made us feel so good, so welcomed. She understood our budget and she presented us with vendors that she felt would fall within the budget we had available to us, but ones who were of quality (more on this in a bit). Wanda really understood us. She understood that it may be tough with numbers, but she also understood and presented ways we can make it work without making it look as though we had watered the wedding down. Wanda did what we were told could not be done. We are forever indebted to Wanda for this.
Wanda - from S&G to you, we love and appreciate you more than you can imagine. Thank you. Thank you for making what we were told was impossible, possible.
Starting off with vendor selections - Wanda is very well versed in knowing who will suit the needs of a specific wedding. Wanda presented us multiple options for each part of our wedding and she also was very open to hearing our ideas about people we would love to engage as a part of our wedding process as well. Wanda listens very well and pays very close attention to details, remembering everything. She thinks of things that you would never think of which help you to make decisions on vendors that will help to make your event a success. Wanda quite literally helped to put together an entire team who worked in tandem to ensure that we got the best experience possible.
Next up is communication. Wanda is an absolute master in being able to communicate. My husband and I come from two different cultures which is something that Wanda was able to recognize and did amazing in being able to work with. Being bilingual, Wanda was able to connect with both my husband, and my family. Additionally - any time that we needed Wanda, we would email her and hear back from her in no time. She was always ready for us whenever we needed her. Just a couple weeks before our wedding, we were able to meet with her virtually to gain a pulse on how things were going and Wanda did just such an incredible job putting our minds at ease.
Lastly is attention to detail. This is something that Wanda excels in. Just a couple days before our rehearsal there was a slight issue that came up that Wanda had caught on to. Before jumping to conclusions, Wanda checked in with us to see if it was something we were ok with. We were not super happy about it, but were going to make it work. That said - Wanda was able to work with the Hotel Coordinator who was able to work with the restaurant to solve the issue that came up. Working in tandem the way they did to help solve our issue was absolutely impressive.
Wanda is an absolute professional. Wanda’s goal is to make sure that your event goes exactly as you plan it. She provides great feedback to help in decision making and will do everything she can to help you understand where your decisions may or may not come together, but the way she engages in this process is just above and beyond.
As two who read a lot of reviews in this decision making process, I can not say this enough times - we HIGHLY recommend you go with WG Special Events. When we told our venue about our wedding coordinator being Wanda, they were elated as they themselves love working with her. I can promise you that Wanda will not let you down. She is a master in which you will not regret selecting to work with.

Such a professional!
Wanda was a breath of fresh air to work with! So strategic and organized. Planning a destination wedding in Puerto Rico was very stressful, however, Wanda was on top of everything! Even our whole wedding itinerary was so on point and right on schedule. Me and my husband were very pleased with her services. Our wedding was beyond amazing and stress free all because of Wanda. I cannot recommend her services more. All the vendors she recommended were excellent. Unlike other wedding planners, her package included help with the rehearsal dinner and other activities surrounding the wedding, which is CRUCIAL when planning a destination wedding. She visited venues without us to talk to wedding coordinators, knocked on doors, followed up time and time again with our preferred rehearsal dinner spot to make sure that everything came together. She has years of experience and it is clear working with her that she knows what she is doing. We visited Puerto Rico twice prior to our wedding to finalize things and she met with us both times and accompanied us on meetings with vendors. Don't hesitate, contact Wanda for your wedding!

Amazing wedding planner
Wanda is an amazing wedding planner! I truly do not know what I would’ve done without her help. After having to cancel my wedding the first time because of covid and then have complications with omicron Wanda was so helpful with everything. If you hire Wanda you are truly in for a treat, she has such great taste she always has great recommendations for your wedding or if you need good places to see or eat. Every vendor she suggested was amazing, because of her so many of my wedding guests said it was the best wedding they’ve been to. Wanda was always kind, responsive, on time, and helpful from start to finish. She works so hard and she truly takes care of you, she will always have such a special place in my heart because she despite everything she made sure my day was special. Guardian Angel of Wedding Planners
I cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are to have found Wanda for our wedding. We live in Chicago and knew we'd want someone in Puerto Rico to help us put everything together. We picked Wanda because of her stellar reviews, but we had no idea just how much she was willing to go above and beyond for us. She recommended excellent vendors, stayed in constant communication with us, and thought of every tiny detail that we would have never considered on our own. COVID really made things a lot harder for us, but it did not stop Wanda from helping us plan the wedding of our dreams. We planned a destination wedding in Puerto Rico during the pandemic, so we were not able to meet a lot of the vendors ourselves. But Wanda was AMAZING at arranging everything and recommending the right people. She made the entire process extremely smooth and I don't think we could have done it without her. We regarded Ms. Wanda as our Fairy Godplanner when she started helping us plan what turned out to be a magical wedding. We reached out to her after our original wedding plans fell through. She guided us on finding the perfect venue and helped us find the best vendors for our day. She made sure to keep up with the government guidelines for weddings in Puerto Rico since this was happening during the pandemic and made sure our wedding was pandemic friendly. She listened to what we wanted and gave advice from her experiences when we weren't sure about things. On the actual wedding day, as the bride, I wasn't worried about a thing because I knew Ms. Wanda would have everything handled. Wanda was amazing! It's hard to get a feel for someone by just researching them online. I was nervous because I didn't see anyone that looked like me on her page but she exceeded all our expectations. She orchestrated a surprise my husband to be because his family was unable to attend. She planned a helicopter ride over our venue along with a town car, champagne waiting, and was able to have our photographer capture every moment. She helped my husband plan a firework surprise for me. All of the vendors she suggested were top notch. We traveled from the States with our officiant and she helped us through the process of obtaining the correct paperwork. Everything she did and suggested went above and beyond. I couldn't be happier with choosing Wanda as our Event Planner.

Wow!!!! Ms. Wanda was such a great help in planning for our wedding 08-02-2019. She really went above and beyond of my expectations. As a guy it’s rare that we plan our wedding but working with Ms. Wanda she definitely made sure I would never stress out about anything. She had all the vendors picked out for me to choose from and they where all great vendors no complaints. The day of the wedding was a dream come true no stress no worries because she made sure everything was in order like she promised. And the decorator that she helped me picked out had our reception so beautiful I can’t describe how breathtaking it was. Overall the price she charged was not expensive at all for everything she did for us. Best investment money could buy and I know I will tell anybody that ask me do I know any wedding planner in PR. Looking for a wedding planner? Look no more! If you are lucky enough to get Wanda, get her now! Wanda loves what she does, and it shows. Since the beginning, she was super responsive, even when we were just browsing. Her professionalism and excellent customer service convinced us to get a wedding planner.
Wanda was on point finding and coordinating with the best of the best, from flowers, cake, music, mariachis, everything. Having a destination wedding can be stressful, but if you have Wanda, I assure you your life and planning will be easier. She is very supportive, and I can’t thank her enough for her availability. As a professional couple from the Washington, DC area, our schedules are always packed and we do a really bad job at focusing on other stuff that is not part of our daily lives, needless to say that Wanda was there for us since the beginning to the end to make sure we got what we wanted.
Her positiveness and willingness to collaborate make it so much fun and easy to plan from another city. She took the time to go and meet with these vendors, visit our venue to share videos and pictures and much more. Wanda Garcia truly is one of the best people we have ever met, both personality and profession wise. If it wasn’t for her, our destination wedding would have never happened. We contacted her only 6 months before the big day and she made it happen. Wanda put together a dream team for us, from caterer, officiant, makeup artist/hair stylist to photographer. Everyone exceeded our expectations. The wedding turned out perfectly, even more amazing than we thought it would be. Wanda Garcia is an absolute gem! We tried (for a very short amount of time) to plan our November 2018 destination wedding by ourselves but quickly realized that a wedding planner is important for a destination wedding. From our first communication via email to our last hug when our wedding came to a beautiful end; Wanda was there 100% of the way. She is worth it! She is easy to talk to and extremely professional. All emails/calls/texts were responded to within a timely manner. Her network of vendors provided us with exceptional services and unforgettable memories (such as DJ, Photography, Flower/Decor, Hair/Make Up, Ceremony Music and even a Cigar Roller). Wanda went above and beyond not only with providing top notch vendors but also gave great suggestions for our rehearsal dinner venue and even our honeymoon villa, Club Seabourne, in Culebra (which we highly recommend if you are getting married in Puerto Rico). Prior to our wedding, we had the opportunity to meet with Wanda in Puerto Rico. She always came prepared with an itinerary of what needed to get done - this helped us stay on track. She scheduled all meetings with our vendors, from introductions and putting a face to their names to final last minute details the week of the wedding. Wanda will never guide you wrong during the whole wedding planning/day. Wanda devotes all her efforts, time and passion to the bride and groom to make their dream wedding come true. Looking back, we appreciate the individual attention she gave each of us as the bride and groom. In times of stress, Wanda was there to calm us and reassure us that everything will be okay on our wedding day.
