I am so glad we found the Westside Inn to hold our wedding! From start to finish the process of having our wedding at the inn was seamless, stress free and easy! Susan, the owner, was very responsive and helpful! Her employee Brandi was always there if we needed her. Kees Rentals was super easy to rent from and very responsive to all questions I had. There was so much space in the house, some of our friends who came to town for the wedding were able to stay in the 5 available bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and beautiful grounds! If you are looking for a BEAUTIFUL and convenient wedding venue the Westside Inn in Manteo, is it! -

Westside Inn is absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting, especially during sunset. It truly took our breath away and made the perfect backdrop for our special day. Every photo we received from our photographer, Matt Lusk, or from friends and family turned out gorgeous.
Working with Susan made the entire experience even better. She was incredibly responsive, kind, and so helpful every step of the way. Anytime I had a question (big or small), she was quick to answer and always made me feel supported throughout the planning process.
The venue came with tables and chairs included, which was such a huge help, and we also rented the bathroom trailer through them.
Everything came together so perfectly, and we’re so grateful to Susan for helping make our wedding day so memorable. Highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a gorgeous space!! -

Best Day Ever
Westside Inn is truly a hidden treasure. There is no other venue that can compare to Westside. We wouldn't change a thing. Everything was perfect. You won't work with any nicer people than Susan and Richard. It books up quick so go ahead and book a tour now. -

This venue is the most amazing venue! I wanted to get married on the water but not in the beach and this spot just captivated our hearts the moment we first saw it. No Place Better
Choosing this venue for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! Everything about it was amazing, and we couldn’t be happier. The stunning waterfront location provided the most breathtaking backdrop, and the venue comfortably accommodated all of our guests. Susan was an absolute pleasure to work with—so professional and attentive—and the pricing was incredibly reasonable for what was offered. Five stars all around, and I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone planning their special day! -

Absolutely loved getting married at Westside Inn! The venue is gorgeous & we were blessed with the most incredible sunset! It was such a relief to be able to rent the property for the entire weekend so I could relax and feel fully prepared for the big day! There was no stress of having to bring everything to the venue the morning of the wedding or having to clear out the night of. I loved being able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one location. Truly the most perfect day! -

We LOVE the Westside Inn
The Westside Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding day. The property is a small oasis on the sound in Manteo, North Carolina. The views of the water from all angles on the property are breathtaking and made the most beautiful back drops for all of our wedding photos. Additionally, the owners of the Inn were incredibly helpful, flexible, and responsive as we were sorting through the details of our wedding day. Susan was so kind and alleviated so much stress for me as we approached our wedding date. The house was the perfect place for our immediate friends and family to stay during the wedding festivities. We are so glad that we chose this place to share with our friends and family. I wish that we had another reason to go back! -

We rented the Westside inn for our wedding weekend and we could not have picked a better spot! The sunsets are unbelievable there and the yard is perfect for an outdoor wedding. It not only simplified logistics but also allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment without worrying about transportation or coordinating multiple locations. The convenience factor alone made our wedding day infinitely more enjoyable.
Communication with the venue staff was impeccable, earning them a well-deserved 5-star rating. From our initial inquiry to the final details, they were responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Any questions or concerns we had were promptly addressed, putting our minds at ease every step of the way.

Susan was an amazing host and the Westside Inn could not have been more perfect for our wedding day. The house itself is such a gorgeous place to stay and relax before your big day. We stayed for four nights and had an extra day after our wedding to clean up! This is a perfect place for a DIY wedding, but just as easy to make it exactly how you want it using the rental companies nearby. I would 100% recommend this spot to those looking for a spot to get married in the Outer Banks. Being on the water was so picturesque and perfect, plus having the house with all of our belongings in it was so helpful.
Susan has tables, chairs, and other fun decorations ready to go in the garage. We found it so easy to set up and break down for a wedding of 130. All of the vendors we used (catering, bathroom rental, and DJ) knew of the space already and knew exactly how to set up and where to be for the wedding.
Please consider this space! We had the best four days of our lives there and we hope to revisit the Westside Inn in our future! -

Stunning Venue!
This venue is truly so special and I can't recommend it enough! You will not find a venue this beautiful, private and affordable anywhere else in the OBX. It is truly STUNNING! We had our dream wedding here and you should too!!
I was really worried it would be too hot to have an outdoor wedding in August but the breeze off the water was incredible and it did not feel too hot at all!
They do have some wedding necessities available for use- about 100 white folding chairs, round tables & a few rectangular tables for food, bar etc. Be sure to factor pricing in for tent/dance floor/portable restrooms- but that is pretty much the case for any backyard venue! -

Our wedding turned out to be an absolute dream come true. This all started with finding the perfect spot to exchange our vows. We were looking for a private place on the Sound to get married with close family and friends (50 guest). From the moment we found this place on Wedding Wire, we were hooked. We immediately called the number on the website and reached Susan the owner who was extremely friendly and accommodating for our wedding wishes. We were able to tour the venue on our vacation a few months prior to the wedding and absolutely fell in love with the coziness and charm of the home. Not only was the home a perfect place to house our immediate families and our 15-year-old Shih-Tzu; the yard and views of the sound with the small beach were simply breathtaking. We stayed a whole week Monday-Monday and had the wedding on Saturday. This gave us plenty of time to relax, setup and clean up before leaving. It was so convenient to stay at the place we got married, we literally got ready and walked out the door to get married. Before the wedding we enjoyed sitting by the water watching the most amazing sunsets each evening, laying out, fishing and floating in the sound. Weddings can be extremely stressful but due to the ease of the venue and our wonderful vendors, this process was pretty simple and straightforward. The cost of the venue and event fee were also very reasonable and came with tables/chairs. This was one less vendor that we had to book. If you are looking for a private, intimate, sound front wedding this is definitely a place you should tour! We will be back to vacation and reminisce on our perfect day! Extremely satisfied!!!!
I married my best friend on August 27, 2022 at West Side Inn and we are still daydreaming about the beautiful day and week spent at this gem location. You will feel so incredibly grounded and immersed in a state of calm staying at the West Side Inn. The beach access is pure magic. We felt pure love on our day because of the wonderful energy felt in this home and on the grounds. Susan and her family are wonderful to work with and we felt nothing but supported with warmth in the planning process. If you are looking for a dream venue where you can feel inner peace on your special day, look no further, this is it. We will certainly be back for future anniversaries and family vacations. -

What a amazing venue! The property was pristine, the style and decor of the home is warm and welcoming. This was just perfect for our wedding. All of the guests were amazed by the view! We would love to return for an extended stay. Thank you to all that made this possible. -

My Husband and I got married at WestSide inn on October 2nd, 2021. Everything about this venue is amazing! I stayed here with my family a few days beforehand and we all got to set up together and enjoy the view before the big day. All the guests couldn’t stop raving about the views and how secluded the house is. If you are looking for a destination wedding, WestSide inn is the place to go. The owner Susan answered any questions or concerns I had. I couldn’t have asked for a better day or venue! -

Fantastic Venue!!!
I don’t have enough space here to say all of the things I want to say about this gorgeous venue! The home is spacious and can hold many people, the grounds are stunning and the owners are very hands on as they care about your experience and stay while at the home. They provide many items for the wedding which is so helpful and even met us at the venue the day of the wedding to make sure we didn’t any issues or questions. We are still on cloud nine as our daughters wedding was just a week ago. The evening brought the most beautiful sunset sky we could have ever wished for! The entire day was everything we ever hoped for and to witness our girl marry her soulmate was just the icing on the cake! Thank you to Susan Coleman and her husband for allowing us the opportunity to have the wedding at their place. It will forever be an unforgettable memory in our minds! ♥️💕♥️ -

We took advantage of this beautiful location as the backdrop for our wedding. Kees (who currently handles the reservations) was easy to work with but the owner is probably THE BEST part about this experience! She was so responsive and attentive each time I contacted her. We had plenty of room inside to house the wedding party that traveled from out of town and also the space we needed to prepare for the big day. Amenities for the event included chairs, tables, lights, barrels, etc. Really beautiful, very affordable, and awesome hospitality! -

From the view to the people, this home has it all. It is private, peaceful, and has some of the most beautiful views on the sound. We got married here in May 2021, and loved every moment of our day. It is privately owned, and the family is so wonderful. They are local to Manteo, and are there for your every need. There are a lot of options for rentals in the area, but the venue also has options on-site. I have worked in the wedding industry previously, and can say with confidence that this venue is a catch. You can’t go wrong booking this home as a venue for an event, or to simply staying the night. It is like having a home away from home. We will most certainly return. -

I booked the Westside Inn for my April 2021 wedding weekend! It was the perfect location for my bridesmaid to stay. I had my rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and my wedding ceremony here. It was the perfect backyard as it is HUGE and overlooks the sound. Me and my guests could not get over the views. There was an incredible sunset during my rehearsal dinner!
Because I got married in April I opted to book an indoor reception elsewhere - wasn't sure how the temps or weather would be! But if I got married in the summer or fall it would have been gorgeous to do a tented wedding as there is PLENTY of space!
What made this location great to me were a few things:
1. It is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot stress this enough!!!
2. There are lots of amenities onsite: tables, chairs, an arbor, barrels, string lights...etc. I didn't need to rent a thing for my rehearsal dinner or wedding ceremony! That was really important to me
3. Susan is amazing to work with. Quick and thorough responses and even allowed me to do an onsite grounds visit when I was in town.
4. This venue has a property manager that lives in Manteo. She was able to meet me in person when I checked in to personally give me the lowdown on the property and event materials that are stored in the garage. This was especially helpful because the manager had her wedding in site in 2020!! She had lots of good tips and answered all of my questions
5. There is a room just for hair and makeup - with a large mirror and a salon chair. This was perfect for me and my bridesmaids to have our hair and makeup done on site!
6. Plenty of space for parking. This was important to to me as I am an event planner....parking can make or break a place!
7. The property is so gorgeous that I 98% of our wedding photos on site. There were so many beautiful options! This made the day flow so easily since our only location change was after the ceremony to the reception!
I booked this place solely for the beautiful backyard, and it exceeded my expectations. Every person I worked with was helpful, and the whole process was simple and stress free. I will note that the house is a bit dated but I thought it was cute and quaint. It is exactly as the pictures convey so no surprises there. It didn't matter to me since most wedding things were in the backyard!
All in all, could not recommend this place more!! -

The rooms were spacious and the outside porch that was screened in was perfect to watch the sunrise and enjoy a cup of coffee. I would pick this place over and over again for my wedding. -

It seemed everything was against us. 45 days out, our original venue cancelled on us. Everything happens for a reason!! We found Westside Inn online and somehow, someway, it was open the weekend of the wedding. We booked it site unseen. Little did we know at that time how magnificent this home site would be! Perfect setting that provided lodging for the entire wedding party and a sound front that was large enough for the wedding ceremony AND a 30x60 tent for the reception! Tip: Request clear sides for the tent! You don't want to have anything blocking the beautiful sunset! The owners are awesome and they were extremely helpful as we approached the big day. We're Manteo residents and will definitely be booking this house for future family gatherings. To the owners, THANK YOU for allowing us to make some incredible memories at the house we know you cherish. Our prayers were answered when we found this venue!! -

Great place to stay and have a wedding
Our family and friends stayed at the Westside Inn for our daughter's wedding, with the wedding also taking place on the property. We all loved the house. The kids were able to stay downstairs and hang out in the rec room...and we all loved the sunroom.
The grounds are stunning with the sound in the backyard. Her wedding was beautiful.....her dream always to be married on the outerbanks......our Midwestern family's favorite vacation spot.
Susan with the inn was so helpful and responsive....especially when we had to cancel her original June 5th date due to the pandemic. She was also very helpful recommending vendors who were familiar with the property.
The view for our daughter's wedding was stunning. We made so many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime......and we are already planning our next trip back!

Susan was great to work with from the very moment that we contacted her. The house and grounds are lovely with a beautiful view of the sound. The split level design of the house makes it perfect for blended families to stay in one location. The bride and groom were able to include their dog, Hallie in the ceremony. -

The perfect place!
COVID caused us to change venues late in the wedding plans. We are so thankful! Westside Inn could not have been a more perfect venue. We had less than 100, but more than 50. We were able to spread out fine outside on the property, which is gorgeous. Our family stayed onsite for 3 nights which was great. We want to return in the future. The host was very helpful and answered all questions. We highly recommend as a wedding venue. -

Manteo Wedding
Greg and I are eternally grateful for the opportunity to have our wedding at Westside Inn. It was such a beautiful and serene wedding venue that had everything we needed for our special day. My daughter Morgan recently got married, her first request was a beach wedding. I searched for several venues and finally decided on Westside Inn. She and I decided that while not on the beach Westside offered the best of both worlds, a wedding on the water but with an intimate setting. The house has been in the family for years and staying there made us feel like an extension of that family. Susan was very helpful with suggestions and answered questions for us.
The five-bedroom house is very spacious and allowed us the room we needed during the days prior to the wedding. As an added bonus, the house has a room specifically designed for the bride to get ready on the day of the wedding, it created a special experience for Morgan. The day prior to the wedding while preparations were taking place the bride and her wedding party were able to get away for a day on the beach which was an added bonus. The wedding was perfect in every way possible. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the house and the property. I would love to return for a family weekend. -

Wedding Venue and Family Accommodations
This was a wonderful place to host our rehearsal, wedding, and reception! It is spacious enough for a 40'x60' tent and still have a beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony! Susan is amazing to work with and her family home was a perfect fit for the bridal party. If you are looking for a great place with beautiful views and friendly people, this is the place for you! -

To start, I would like to say, my wedding day was amazing! It was beautiful with the amazing backdrop of the sound and the gorgeous spring blooms all over the grounds of this venue. We had pictures taken all around between the sunset and azaleas the scene was truly amazing! I would highly recommend this as an outdoor venue for a wedding or reunion, any event really!
Please keep all of the above in mind when I say, I did not have such a great experience staying at the house. Several of my guests had to move from the house to another location due to the amount of flying insects that would come inside in swarms if a door was opened and the odor of cat urine in the upstairs master suite that filled the whole upstairs by the end of the week. When I first arrived, the internet info KEES provided was incorrect and when they sent someone out to troubleshoot the issue, the gentleman was rude and insinuated that my sister was not so bright for not having tried the info on the router before calling because he had to make the trip out to the house. The second night of our stay, there were 3 roaches found in the kitchen. We killed them and cleaned thoroughly and did not see another during our stay. We were double charged a pet fee for a dog that did not even end up staying at the house because of all the other issues. When I contacted KEES about all of the above, they thanked me for not yelling at them and simply refunded the 2nd pet fee that I was overcharged. I was not offered anything other than that for all of the inconveniences I experienced.
This was ALLLLL after I waited A WHOLE YEAR for our wedding day due to covid!!!! I tried to reschedule my wedding day for August or September when the bridge is open back up, but I was told that I would have to pay double due to the differing seasonal rate. There would be no exception for my circumstances- The only way I could keep the same rate, that I had already paid in full, was to book it the same week the following year. The owner was not willing to budge on this.
If this house could be rented for just the event, day of, maybe day prior and after for setup and cleanup, I would highly recommend doing it that way. But I doubt they would allow that.
