Great venue in westlake village
This review concerns the Westlake Village Inn used as a Wedding Venue.
We (BELLA VITA EVENTS - EVENT COORDINATORS) got the chance to work here for a few Weddings. This Venue -and its whole block- is full of elegance and European charm. Nestled amidst manicured gardens, a great pond/lake, and scenic landscapes, the setting provides a romantic backdrop for a perfect celebration. The attentive and professional staff at the Venue goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is flawlessly executed, making the whole process enjoyable. From the idyllic ceremony locations to the exquisite reception spaces, the venue offers a versatile canvas for couples to create their dream wedding. The Westlake Village Inn stands out as a quintessential choice for those seeking a sophisticated and enchanting setting to say "I do." We highly recommend! - BELLA VITA EVENTS BY DEBORAH JAMES.-

Just Stunning!
WVINN was the best venue I could ask for! They know weddings and do them so well. Dana was our contact and she was so easy to work with and quick to respond. We loved staying in the deluxe suite. The staff was just the best! No complaints-

Such a beautiful experience
I can not say enough amazing things about the Westlake Village Inn. I truly think it's LA's best kept secret- an oasis and paradise. It doesn't feel like you are in LA, but Italy. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is superbly well-maintained and has so many wonderful experiences to enjoy onsite. There's really no need for you or your guests to leave once you arrive. It has everything you could possibly need for a perfect wedding weekend: beautiful grounds, a perfect back drop, multiple event spaces, nightlife, and restaurants.
We recently got married there and had the most amazing experience with the Westlake Village Inn team- shout out to Briana! Everyone on their team was so welcoming and accommodating. The planning process was smooth and easy as their team really knows what they're doing. The staff is very clear on the steps that are needed in order to ensure a successful and smooth event. The staff gave us all eyes and ears throughout our entire stay, and made sure that everyone in our party was well taken care of. Our event went off without a hitch or bump in the road. We wouldn't have changed a thing.
Look no further than the Westlake Village Inn for your wedding. I can promise you'll have an amazing wedding experience and will want to visit again and again in all the years to come to relive your beautiful day!-

Dana Jordan + Team are INCREDIBLE!
Having been from the area, I always envisioned getting married at the Westlake Village Inn. It has so many amazing scenic areas that are absolutely perfect for pictures and our ceremony site within the Tuscan Garden was just drop dead gorgeous! We started working directly with Dana Jordan on the Events Team right from the start and we couldn't have been happier. She provided amazing recommendations for vendors, ideas on how we could bring our day to life and above all, was super accommodating during these times of Covid when we had to postpone not once, but twice. Our experience with the venue was fantastic and would highly recommend anyone book with them! Our guest experience was equally amazing, as practically everyone we have spoken to after our wedding are absolutely RAVING about the food saying it was hands down the best wedding they had ever been to. My husband is from Long Island where you feel like you're being served your dinner at cocktail hour because the amount of food is ridiculous, so being a number of our guests have that expectation at weddings to be FED, with a few additional add-ons like a sushi station, chilled seafood station, make your own sundae bar and assorted plated desserts, our guests were overwhelmed with the food selection and to hear them rave how fantastic everything was, was music to our ears! You won't regret booking your event; especially a wedding at this venue!-

Perfect for initmate wedding
We chose Westlake Village Inn because of the beautiful grounds and the suites that had a patio to hold a small civil ceremony. We selected the suite with the gazebo in the yard. It was a lovely location and perfect for our small wedding (especially with the raccoon family). We were greeted with a bottle of Stonehaus bubbles on ice in our room and enjoyed room service for a gathering later that evening. Perfect venue for lovely wedding photos.
Shout out to Alexis and Laurie who were very helpful in choosing the suite and having an early check in secured. Perfect place for any occasion and I would recommend this venue to everyone. -

Amazing Venue!!
We worked with Jessica Reardon at the Westlake Village Inn and she made our wedding absolutely gorgeous! The food was amazing, the staff was polite and Jessica made our dreams come true for our wedding! Searching for venues is a stressful process, but Jessica made it fun and we felt so confident in her abilities from day one. You will not be disappointed with this venue and the Westlake Village Inn staff! -

Stunning, elegant wedding venue!
We got married at the Westlake Village Inn in September. It was the perfect venue for our dream wedding! Guests are still raving about the stunning grounds, beautiful garden, and amazing food. Our ceremony was in the Tuscan Garden and our reception was in the Provence Room.
We wanted a venue that was so beautiful it wouldn't need a ton of extra flowers and decor (to save $$). We visited several wedding venues in LA, but the WVInn was by far the most stunning. We were surprised that it was within our budget. The hotel and surrounding grounds resemble a beautiful Tuscan vineyard and villa. There are numerous spots for a first-look and bridal party photos. If you are looking for a venue that is every bit as elegant and sophisticated as it is romantic, I highly recommend checking out the WVInn!
A special thank you to Dana Jordan, our coordinator and catering manager, for making our dream wedding come true! Dana was extremely patient answering our endless list of detail-oriented questions. All of her food suggestions were a major hit. She helped us make the most out of budget. -

Westlake Inn
We had to change our wedding venue due to Woolsey Fires. We worked with Jessica Reardon, catering manager at Westlake Inn. She was very professional, helpful, and accommodating. We were able to change our venue in less than 2 weeks time! Everything went smooth, perfect, and it was easy! Food was delicious. Pictures are amazing! Thank you Westlake Inn & Jessica! Love, The Busheys -

We booked this place from a recommendation from my sister-in-law, who's work uses their facilities for retreats, meetings, etc. Pictures & reviews were nice. So we contacted the venue and they assigned us to Kelly Burnett. We decided to walk the facilities before our initial meeting with her, and we were basically sold on just what we saw. Then we met with Kelly and she honestly made the entire process so easy. She broke it down to us and we had our $$$ figures from the start. We'd mostly communicate via email since it was just easier for us, and she'd respond usually that same day, unless it was a weekend when she was probably busy assisting with an event. Our wedding was smaller, 40 guests, so we booked the Wine Cellar room, right on the water. We honestly couldn't have been happier. It was so cozy and we still had space for a dance floor. All our guests told us later how they really enjoyed our wedding and the intimacy of it. If you're having a smaller event, I'd highly recommend the Wine Cellar Room. And the staff was amazing too! They were always around to assist us all and very accommodating. Kelly assisted with the set up and also was accommodating to let us in the night before to do some of the detail setting up we wanted to do. Luckily for us there was nothing booked late into that night before or the morning of our wedding. The only thing I'd suggest anyone thinking of having your event here is to plan to get there early enough to take advantage of all the photo opportunities they have throughout the WLVI. We had our ceremony a few hours before, however we cut it really short in allowing for pics before it got dark and our reception started. All in all, everything was amazing...the venue, the food, the staff....especially Kelly! -

We didn't have our wedding here but we did stay the night of our wedding here. WLV Inn is the definition of a romance. We were brought complimentary champagne to our room which overlooked the garden. It's a beautiful place to spend the first night as Mr & Mrs! -

West Lake Village Inn is a very popular wedding location and Life.Film have been lucky enough to capture several wedding events there on the summer 2016.
From our professional point of view the venue is ideal for entire wedding day.
Beautiful rooms or villas for the getting ready shoots, many stairs, trails, arches and rose gardens for the romantic pictures, beautiful rotunda for the ceremony and amazing reception hall for the dinner.
For photographer and videographer this place is such a well organized venue which gives us opportunity to be creative and to bring the best photos to the bride and the groom. Don’t forget that also this is a beautiful spot to get some aerial shoots too.
Special thank you words to the event manager team who are always super fast with the responding and who where very helpful on the day of the events!
Life.Film will be more then happy to film more weddings events there!

Growing up in the area and attending numerous events at the Westlake Village Inn I always knew that I wanted to get married at the Westlake Village Inn. When my fiancé and I were looking for our wedding venue I was thrilled when he also fell in love with the Inn after having lunch at the Stonehaus. With high expectations set, we first met with the coordinator to see the venue and were so impressed we quickly signed our contract and set our date! Throughout the experience we continued to be impressed with how helpful and friendly every employee we came in contact with was. Our wedding rehearsal, ceremony and reception were all on site and we had such an amazing experience. Jeannie and Jenna continued to surpass our expectations and made our wedding day so incredible! We continue to receive compliments from all of our guests about our wedding most of them saying it was "The Best Wedding they have been to" and the food was incredible!! In addition to the day itself we had around 100 guests stay the weekend onsite and also continue to we receive positive feedback from all aspects of their stay at the Inn; the ease of making their reservations, check in, dining and entertainment options, hotel room comfort, golf and tennis access, the list goes on. I always knew this was a special place in my hometown and love that our guests felt the same way. We are excited to celebrate many anniversaries at the Inn!! Thank you to everyone involved in our wedding!!!! -

We had our wedding at the Westlake Village Inn and it was amazing! I fell in love with it when we did our initial walk through with Jenna, she was so sweet and was able to answer all the questions we had. We got very lucky and the ceremony site and reception room we wanted were available on the date we had in mind so we booked it! Our coordinator was Jeannie Reed and she was amazing. We loved her! I really appreciated how she explained things we didn't understand and when it came down to the rehearsal and the day of she was awesome about just getting things done and not being shy about getting people to pay attention so everything went just right! We even called her at like 8 in the morning the day of and I'm pretty sure woke her up because one of the tables was wrong and she made sure the table was correct and all of our desserts were out! We had zero issues with the Westlake Village Inn from the venue to the catering crew to the hotel rooms, everything was very easy and it was one of the best nights of our lives! -

We loved our stay at the Westlake Village Inn! The staff were friendly, the rooms were beautiful (we had a master suite overlooking the pool area), and the food was delicious (we ordered a lot of room service). We had our rehearsal dinner at the Stonehaus Tasting Room and it was PERFECT! The room fit our group of 28 easily and then after dinner we poured our onto the back patio area and had other guests come to celebrate. The food selection was great and the staff made it very easy for us. We will be coming back! -

The only concern I had was that during our rehearsal dinner the kids' meals did not come out until after the buffet items were served (and after I asked about it). I would recommend the captain or lead server make sure kids' meals come out before or at the same time as the regular food items. Other than that everything was perfect. -

You really can't get a better wedding venue! The Westlake Village Inn is beautiful year round. With this venue you have the gorgeous grounds of a Mediterranean villa, delicious food (many guests reported this), and many options of a ceremony site and reception venue. We had our ceremony at the Mediterranean Gazebo which had tall roman columns, a view of the lake and fountain, and lots of trees and colorful flowers -- so much natural ambiance that we didn't need many flowers from the florist for the ceremony. We used the elegant Provence Room with chandeliers, a two tier room (good for dancing), and a view again to the lake. We also used the wine cellar room for our Rehearsal Dinner. Our guests loved being together at the hotel and there are places for them to eat and find one another throughout the weekend. The cost is reasonable for all that you receive and there are a few ways to help make the budget manageable -- you don't need to opt for special chairs or plates, you can do a buffet style dinner, and opt for "by consumption" wine/beer rather than unlimited or hard liquor or many of the "extras" here. The place speaks for itself and in this peaceful environment the guests will really enjoy themselves! -

The service at the Westlake Village Inn is wonderful. Dana was my coordinator and she was pleasant and wonderful to say the least. We put together a wedding in a month and she was a great help. We had very little time and she worked diligently and efficiently to make it all happen. I emailed quite a bit to make sure I was taking care of everything appropriately and to make sure we were on the same page. Without hesitation and with prompt response, Dana always responded! I greatly enjoyed my experience with Dana and our wedding and luncheon turned out perfect! It was sweet, classic, and romantic! Thank you!! -

We had our rehearsal dinner at the wine barrel room and guest accommodations. The hotel and catering staff are all friendly and nice. Wine Barrel Room: great ambiance right off the lake with intimate dinning, beautiful entrance, and small balconies lakeside. This was the perfect place for our dinner hosting roughly 22 guests. The food was excellent and the dinning staff was extremely attentive even helping my mom carry party gifts from her car. The price is also very reasonable and already is inclusive of the room, tables, linens, etc. Accommodations: we stayed in one of the suites which was fabulous with a fireplace, huge bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and a balcony over looking the gardens. They give you a tour of all the rooms before booking a hotel block so you can easily see the quality of even the general guest rooms which were nice and reasonably priced too. It was also a great spot only being 8 miles from our venue at Saddlerock Ranch. The hotel itself is also beautiful with streams and flowers. I highly recommend you book either for your big day as you and your guests will not be disappointed! -

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Westlake Village Inn.
For us it was an easy decision: they were flexible, the property grounds were beautiful, and the people were friendly!
It only took one visit to WLVI to determine that's where I wanted to get married. With my husband living in another state, I made the decision myself, and once he saw the property he was in awe. We got married at the Tuscan Garden, because of the ambiance and amazing gazebo. Our reception was inside the Provence Room. I loved this room for a number of reasons: the split level floor, the chandeliers and the wood floors (no ugly carpet).
The venue was very flexible and accommodation all our request, including a very nontraditional menu. We served cheese and jalapeno grits, corn chowder, cheese and jalapeno grits, fried chicken and waffles, fried catfish and collard greens, braised short ribs and mac and cheese all served with cornbread and honey butter. It was over the top amazing!!! The chef was incredible and everything tasted perfect, I think every single wedding guest let us know what an awesome menu.
Everything was set up as promised, including the napkins, and the condiments being put out with each course. The staff was helpful and incredibly nice, and made sure that everything was taken care of.
I would recommend this venue to anyone!!!! -

We had a very good experience working with Dana at the Westlake Village Inn. Dana and her colleagues here are real professionals, and I felt they went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went flawlessly. I'll always remember the last-minute help Dana gave us the day before the wedding, when my sister and I showed up at her office with a box of disorganized things to decorate the reception room tables. She took everything and made sure it was all set up perfectly. She took a load off our minds right away. I also appreciated that Dana was flexible with us on several points about the menu / alcohol selection. Our guests loved the food! -

This is the best decision that I have ever made. You cannot imagine how well they do everything, the food was amazing, the staff incredible. Our wedding planner, provided by the venue, handled every detail and the entire wedding was flawless. They even provided an included room for us after the ceremony, with red rose petals, champagne and a fire. Our wedding was in June and the flowers were blooming everywhere. It felt like we were at a villa in Tuscany, just beautiful in every way. -

Absolutely no complaints about anything! The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained; the food was excellent - all the guests commented on how much they liked it, especially the lamb appetizers; the catering manager, Dana Jordan, was easy to work with and responsive to our needs; the service was great; the room was beautiful; our guests who stayed at the inn were happy with the accomodations; everything was perfect! I was so happy we chose them for our venue. The entire day could not have been any better. -

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Westlake Village Inn. I was so pleased with how everything turned out. There was not one problem and complaint. Dana Jordan was my catering coordinator. She is efficient and hardworking and follows up with calls and e-mails immediately. My fiance and I always received a quick response. We had so many questions and changes and they were extremely informative and flexible. The grounds are just beautiful and well taken care of. The reception was set up just right and the bar tenders and servers were courteous and friendly. But most of all, the food was delicious! -

We got married in January at the Westlake Village Inn and it totally surpassed any and all of our expectations! Jeannie Reed was the Catering Manager who must be an angel. She was organized, thoughtful, charming and helped create a wedding that didn't go over our budget yet it was a fantastic, incredible wedding that looked like it broke the bank.
My husband and I had such a wonderful time from the planning to the event itself- The Westlake Village Inn was the perfect place to share such a wonderful, happy event. -

Westlake Village Inn was my dream wedding site. Jeannie Reed the wedding coordinator was very sweet and very accommodating. The site is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are a bit pricey but they're huge and beautiful rooms. It's hard to get a reach of people since they had to let some people go during my wedding, but if u just avoid Mondays to Wednesdays, it's easier to get a response. It's actually easier to reach Jeannie during the weekends because that's when she's working the most. The cost is actually quite reasonable for how beautiful the site is. Just be careful because if it rains, unless you're going to rent a tent, you'll be stuck having to move everything inside and it's the outdoor sites that really make the ceremony beautiful at this place. I had a 220 person wedding and had to rent the adjacent room. The main room would only fit maximum 140 people with a good-sized dance floor. If you're doing the father-daughter dance, the grand entrance etc etc., The people in the other room can't see what's going on. But that was the sacrifice I took to have my wedding at this site. Definitely worth checking this site out. -

This place was awesome. The service was wonderful, the venue is exceptional and we had problems with the a/c of our room and they upgraded us to a suite with no problems. The wedding coordinator, Jeannie was beyond helpful. We really couldn't ask for anything more. We will remember our wedding day for the rest of our lives because of the service we received at Westlake.

I just had my wedding at the Westlake Village Inn and it was the best experience I could have possibly had. The whole Catering and Sales department was fantastic, helping us get everything together down to the very last detail. We had a day-of coordinator, Ann-Marie, who was by my side all day, and Jeannie was with me from the moment we booked the venue to seconds before I walked down the aisle. The grounds are beautiful and couldn't have made for a better ceremony site. I highly recommend the Tuscan Gardens. We had a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres at the Provance Terrace, and had our reception in the Fairway Room. Everything was perfect. The staff worked with my vendors and everyone was on time and completely professional. All I kept hearing all night, and still to this day, was about how amazing the hotel rooms were, how beautiful the grounds are, and how good the food was. I can't wait to see my pictures!!
We also had our rehearsal dinner in the Wine Cellar on the night before the wedding and it also went perfectly. The room was beautiful and the food was extra tasty.
I can honestly say that I had a perfect wedding experience, and I have everyone at the Westlake Village Inn to thank for that. -

Having grown up in Westlake Village, I am very familiar with the Westlake Village Inn. It has always had a reputation of excellence and romance. When it came time for my fiancé and I to start looking for venues, it was a no brainer. We went to about 5 or 6 places and the moment we laid eyes on the Tuscan Garden, it was a done deal.
We did run into an incident (one of our only major issues during planning). Our coordinator, who we had been working with for over a year to plan our wedding, suddenly told us she was retiring 2 weeks before our wedding. Fortunately, our wedding was then put in the hands of Dana B and she was FANTASTIC. Considering our wedding was kind of thrown in her lap at the last minute, she did an excellent job calming my nerves and ensuring me that she would do her utmost to make sure our wedding was perfect. And it was! Everything was very organized and (as far as I know of) nothing went wrong the entire night.
Our ceremony site was in the Tuscan Garden and it is just BEAUTIFUL!!! You really have to see it in person to get a sense of how lovely it is. The arches of jasmine smell heavenly as you you walk under them before entering the actual ceremony area. We had many people coming up to us and telling us our wedding was the “best they’ve ever been to” and the food was spectacular. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose the Westlake Inn every time. It really took our wedding above and beyond. Thank you to Dana, our banquet captain, and everyone else involved in bringing us our dream wedding.

Westlake Village Inn did an unbelievable job for my wedding. I could not have been happier. Reena Cartwright planned everything with me and was amazing!! She was flexible and made sure that I got everything that I wanted. I only had my reception here. I had many out of town guests who came and stayed there and they loved it. The Inn took care of all of the little details and made sure that everything was perfect. I stayed in the Villa, which was amazing and would recommend to anyone!! The food was delicious, the wine was great, service awesome, and could not have asked for more. It is a beautiful place and made my wedding so special and perfect. -

The Westlake Village Inn was love at first site. The Tuscan Gardens was the perfect ceremony site. It was like a fairytale wedding walking through the arches to my husband. It really is a beautiful location site. The Provence room comfortably seated my 165 guests and left plenty of dancing room for them. It's view of the lake was great and really set the room perfectly. The WVI crew did an outstanding job of catering to my guests and providing quality food and service. Their patio/cocktail area was also very nice. Dana Jordan, their event coordinator, was the BEST BLESSING I could have asked for. She made sure the day's events flowed smoothly and made sure my husband I and didn't worry about a thing. She is very professional and organized, and a PLEASURE to work with. Couldn't have done it with out her. -

Pure magic! Friends and family are still talking about our wedding - almost 4 years ago now! Most will say it was the most beautiful ceremony and we owe that to Westlake Village Inn! Our planner was exceptional and gave us the star treatment all the way! The grounds are so beautiful - the lake, the gazebo, the waterfalls! Our out-of-town guests stayed at the Inn and each room was tastefully and elegantly decorated. This place is a win! -

We held our ceremony and reception at the Westlake Village Inn. Dana Jordan the Coordinator was excellent. Quick to respond to email and calls; she was organized and efficient. All staff were accommodating and helpful. Food tasting was great and could taste a few items, but we were disappointed to learn we couldn't taste appetizers unless we paid for them in bulk. Frustrating since we were paying a large amount of money to hold our wedding here. Food the night of the wedding was tasty and similar to what we had at the tasting. Bridal suite was roomy and comfortable. Had a small sitting room with a couch and fireplace that was perfect to get ready in with the bridesmaids and hair/makeup artists. The balcony had a beautiful view of the center property and pool area. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking to host a wedding or event. -

This is a beautiful venue, especially for out-of-town guests. My husband's family flew in from other countries and they really enjoyed staying at the hotel...it felt more like a resort. From the beautiful plants/flowers everywhere, to the helpful staff, to the local activities (wine tasting on site, nice pool, golf course next door)...it was the PERFECT place for our wedding. The staff were all very helpful as well and very professional/responsive. Would definitely recommend this venue to others, especially if you have out-of-town guests. -

Jeannie Reed was wonderful to work with. She made our wedding day everything we wanted and more. The wedding venue was beautiful with the lush gardens and gazebos. We absolutely fell in love with the provence room and wine cellar and had selected it for both our wedding reception and daughter's baptismal reception. Our only complaint was the hotel reservation staff as we had to constantly check in and make sure they were accommodating all our needs. There were a few mix ups and changes that were frustrating but eventually resolved. Overall, we would do it all over again at this venue! -

The Westlake Village Inn was beautiful, organized, and ready to crank out weddings and other events. This is a major part of what they do, and they are good at it. We stayed on site, had the rehearsal dinner in the Wine Cellar, had our ceremony in the Tuscan Garden, and had our reception at the Lakeside Room. Jeannie was increadibly helpful in organizing our wedding, and her experience and advice were invaluable. Jeannie also provided fantastic referrals for other vendors, who made the wedding flow smoothly and efficiently. We could not be happier. Our guests loved the venue (most stayed at the hotel), including the pool, gardens, and comfy beds. Highly recommended. -

The rooms were spacious and very clean. Perfect for getting ready for a wedding in. The bar and club was fun for everyone to go hang out when the party was over. The most beautiful place in the world! We are so happy every time we look at pictures of WLVI. I can't get over how beautiful my wedding location was. The food was really good. All of our guests were happy with their food choice. The staff was great. They changed management before our wedding, so there was a little trouble a few months before the wedding. But when we got assigned a coordinator everything worked itself out. I am VERY happy WLVI. I would definitely recommend them. -

The Westlake Village Inn is a beautiful place, I felt like I couldn't get enough pictures... I actually had fun taking pictures, go figure! Now they are very professional, however when it came to asking about grandparents, they were not very professional in understanding that some grandparents may have passed away. I was very emparassed when someone representing the westlake village inn asked my grandfather "is there a grandma??". My Grandma had recently passed, i felt very embarassed by that and by her professionalism in that manner. However, when it came to accommodating my needs and my guests needs, they were right there to help. The food was excellent, although I remember the presentation being much neater and nicer in our food tasting than the night of the wedding. Overall, I had a beautiful wedding, much thanks to the westlake village inn. The only thing I would warn someone before they booked there is to read the fine print in the contract, they can change prices on you at any moment and not even tell you until it comes time to write the check. I had booked in march of 07, my wedding was august of 08, and eventhough i booked early and thought i booked the prices they had, the prices of food went up at least $5 a person, when you have over 100 people, that adds up. -

My ceremony was absolutely gorgeous! The garden and gazebo looked amazing. We had so many guest compliment on how perfect our wedding was! The reception was top notch! No buffet style... the guests had a complete luxury dinner service that was absolutely delicious. The appetizers and cocktails were passed out to our guests during a special "happy hour" in the main patio while we took our pictures. It was a big hit! The food came out perfect. We had sushi, crab cakes, bruschetta, filet mignon and chicken... plus much much more, yum! With many other choices to choose from. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. My husband and I were very impressed and I would recommend this site to anyone! -

Only glitch we had was one of the desserts we asked for was not made how we agreed (and we got a reimbursement for it) and our wedding night room at the Inn was a bit of a shock...the jacuzzi tub did not work and had black gunk coming out of it and they would not comp the room. One of our guests threw a fit because of this and actually complained....the general manager ended up profusely apologizing and giving us a free night at the Inn...which we used, happily. Overall it really was a beautiful place, and our guests loved staying there... -

A huge thank you to the Westlake Village Inn for providing me with a beautiful atmosphere to hold my wedding at. We used the Tuscan Garden ceremony site and then the Wine Cellar for a small reception of 25 people. The entire property is gorgeous and a great value for the price we paid. The guests loved the food and thought it was so beautiful. Another huge thank you to my wedding coordinator, Dana Jordan, for helping me with anything I needed throughout the entire process! -

Beautiful site and excellent people. It was hard to get in contact with people as phone calls and emails were usually not answered on Monday's and Tuesdays. Tax and service charge threw us over our budget so be prepared to spend a few thousand more to cover that. On day of we had a troublesome vendor our on site coordinator and the WLV inn staff were on top of it and tried their best to make sure that we were able to still enjoy the evening. -

Jeannie was a mess. she was my coordinator but i swear i was more organized than she was. i filled out 3 credit card authorization forms because she kept losing them. Here is a quick set of pros and cons for the WVI. Pros: food was awesome! loved the bacon wrapped shrimp and the beef and fish were really good. the chicken was OK. the catering people were really helpful. Jeannie messed up the number of seats at one of the tables but the catering people pulled an extra chair in for my guest. the blended strawberry pina colada was a nice touch during the cocktail hour. (they were also very good). I signed a contract and paid for everything days before my wedding and the next day, Jeannie called to say she did not charge us the correct amount and that we needed to pay extra because she didnt know about an extra charge for blended drinks. (this is her job- to know the details about the wedding charges). I was really mad. The ceremony site i used was the waterfall. my florist did a great job decorating, and it worked with my hawaiian theme. Now for the cons- jeannie made us practice the ceremony twice at the rehearsal. the day of the wedding, she forgot to tell my brides maids and grooms men when to walk in. I HAD TO STEP IN AND TELL THEM TO GO. Jeannie told my husband that the slide show wasn't working ( this was on our way from the ceremony site to the reception site) She should have tried out the equipment the day before. We had given her our DVD way in advance. (MY HUSBAND WAS REALLY MAD ABOUT THAT). Luckily our DJ was on top of things and figured out how to make it work. Finally, Jeannie couldn't even remember by husbands name. when we would meet, she would call him the wrong name.
So... great venue, just bring your own coordinator and double check prices for everything. My wedding was really nice and I would not have wanted to have it at any other place but make sure you are organized and on top of things because the coordinator (jeannie) wont be. -

I absolutely love this venue! We did not care when we got married as long as it was on a Saturday. They upgraded our banquet room a few days prior due to it not being booked. Our only complaint was the coordinator. She was great at first, but I think our wedding went to their waste side due to being a smaller, cheaper wedding. All in house planning was done within the last couple weeks prior to the wedding (made me a little nervous). We hired the in house coordinator for the day of. We saw her twice; for the ceremony and the grand entrance. Our photographer had to step in for everything else because she was missing. I am pretty sure she was also booked for the other wedding that was going on, even though we were told that when we hired her she would only be working our wedding. Everything else was wonderful! The cost was not bad, the food was amazing, the grounds were well kept, and the entire site was absolutely beautiful!! -

RECEPTION REVIEW (4 stars):
Westlake Village Inn is awesome! When we decided to book WVI, I was a bit miffed that they weren't will to negotiate anything but we booked them anyway because the location is just so gorgeous. During the planning process, the catering manager was very responsive to my e-mails and worked with my requests. Even though we got one of their standard wedding packages, they were more than willing to customize the dinner and everything to what we wanted. The only reason why I've not giving them an A+ is because 6 weeks before my wedding, my catering manager left and I couldn't get a hold of anyone (not even her boss) for 2 weeks. It was extremely stressful. Finally, her replacement started. I was still worried because Colleen was new but when I met her the week before my wedding, she really had her act together. Colleen MAJORLY came through for us that day. She coordinated the ceremony and really pulled things together when some problems before the ceremony arose but my wedding coordinator wasn't around because she was setting up the reception. Colleen was wonderful! On the day of the wedding, the staff's service was 5-star. Apparently, there wasn't enough hors d'eourves and chocolate fountain but that was our fault for not ordering enough. My only complaint is that there were significantly less clams in our linguine with clams dish than at our tasting but it wasn't that big of a deal. Honestly, I chose this place because of how it looks, not for the food. Also, we paid WVI $2000 in advance for bar and they were very honest about consumption. They refunded us $500 at the end of the night because our guests didn't drink that much!
HOTEL REVIEW (5 stars):
Westlake Village Inn is gorgeous! My package came with a Courtyard Room but I upgraded it to a Mini Suite. If you're planning to get ready in the room, I would totally recommend booking a Mini Suite. I had 3 BM's, 1 friend, 2 makeup/hair people, 1 videographer, 2 photographers, and 2 mom's in my room at one time! You'll need the space! It's also really romantic for your wedding night. There's a fireplace and jacuzzi tub! The room was gorgeous. The Courtyard Rooms are nice too. Our wedding party stayed in Courtyard Rooms and they overlooked the golf course and lake!
WVI is really flexible with the room block too. They don't force you to pay for leftover rooms as long as you allow them to release the rooms 30 days before your wedding. So my guests still got the discount even though we couldn't fill all 10 rooms.

If I had to do it all again, I would definitely use the Westlake Village Inn. The place is so incredibly gorgeous, that there is just no comparison. We booked our summer wedding months ahead (in September!) and they were nearly completely booked for the entire summer. So we ended up choosing a Saturday morning ceremony and reception (and saved a lot of money this way!!). Dana, our coordinator was wonderful, and we had few complaints. Our only problem was that in the middle of our reception they wouldn't let us into our hotel room (where some of our bridal party had left their personal items). It was a big hassle, that took over 45 minutes to resolve (which is not what you want to deal with in the middle of your reception!). Though part of it was our fault, they were not very flexible in resolving the issue. However, the overall experience was a good one, and like I said, I would choose them again. -

I really wanted to leave great reviews for all of my wedding vendors, but, sadly, I cannot leave a glowing review for either of the two Westlake Village Inn wedding day coordinators with whom I dealt business. I paid about $1,000 to hire the day-of wedding coordinator that Westlake Village Inn provided from their catering department. I thought that since I was paying for their coordinator services that I could have a few questions about my wedding answered along the way since it was my first time to ever get married and I was inexperienced about preparing for weddings.
My first day-of coordinator, Briana Foss, hardly ever returned any of my emails or phone calls (which started five months before the wedding date), my mother’s phone calls or my husband’s mother’s emails or phone calls. The questions that we had were simple and not complicated (for example: should we order cocktail napkins or will the venue provide those?). We did not bother Briana often with questions, yet we had to finally go to management to complain about two months before the wedding date because we were so disappointed that she ignored all three of us and that she would hardly get back to us about anything.
Jeannie Reed, the day-of wedding coordinator that replaced Briana, was better about returning our phone calls and emails, but was somewhat rude to the vendors that I hired for my wedding event. I’m guessing that since my vendors were not chosen from their preferred vendor list, that is why she showed a bit of an “attitude” towards them. I noticed that she gave my flower vendor and my DJ a bit of a hard time by ignoring them, walking away from them in the middle of conversations, saying that she had other business to attend to, and gave cold looks.
My wedding day venue was beautiful afterall, but I had to be in the middle of everything, including set-up, until 3:30 p.m. on the day of my wedding (I got married around 6:00 p.m.), which added unnecessary stress to my special day. -

This place was so beautiful and amazing for an outdoor wedding. Not only did we have a great view and flowers in the area that we got married we also had cute wildlife there at the wedding(no extra cost). There were so many great places to take pictures at. The food was so good that we had people that have been to many wedding say, "I can't believe this is what we get to eat for dinner, I only get one but I want to try them all." The wait staff was on top of their game there was not one need that was not met. The only problem that we had at the Westlake Villiage Inn was our wedding coordinator. She was very unprofessional with us and we had several times during the year and a half that we were planning with her that we had to track her done because she would not get back to us. There were even times that we would have to talk with the manager because we had important questions that needed answers and she would not get back with us. On the day of the wedding she was very good, but I do believe it is because I talked with her higher ups. All in all I would recommend this beautiful place just get your own coordinator. -

The Westlake Village Inn is a BEAUTIFUL location. For our April wedding, my husband and I used the Lakeside Terrace for our morning ceremony (formerly the Lakeside Gazebo), and we used the opulent Provence Room for our lunch reception. The photos from our big day are stunning (thank you Ashley at White Balance Photography!) because the Inn has so many great locations (the lake, the rose terraces, the Tuscan Garden). Everything looked beautiful and we are grateful!
Our only unpleasant experience with this location was that it wasn't enjoyable interacting with our catering/event contact. Perhaps she was frustrated that we didn't use her as our wedding coordinator (we instead used an outside coordinator, which is an option). Also, I understand that she and her staff are often packed with events. But all of that to say, weddings at the Inn are not cheap, and if a couple commits to having their wedding there, kind/quality service is expected. She could sometimes be "snarky" (even on the big day!) and it wasn't enjoyable working with her. I have a background in the service industry and event planning, so I understand that it can be a challenging industry. But still, she left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. Also, the Inn's food is good, but not amazing. (High prices are for the location more so than high cuisine.)
All and all, I enjoyed having our wedding at this location, however, I would not suggest to a friend that he/she work with this individual. My suggestion to couples considering this location: meet with your event/catering contact, see if you like him/her, and if it's not a good fit, ask for someone else. I kept giving this person the benefit of the doubt, and she was consistently in a weird/bad mood. So, don't do what I did. Your big day is too important to deal with a vendor's poor mood.
The other staff members, however, were all kind and friendly. (Be it the servers, other event planners, bus boys, etc.) They were all very appreciated! -

My coordinator was late for my rehearsal. Also, when we had our final meeting, she was surprised I was there, even though the meeting had been scheduled for months. At this final meeting, I asked a question which revealed that another coordinator had booked a ceremony that conflicted with my reception area. I was told not to worry about it and had to continue to ask if the situation was resolved. I was never told it was resolved, I just found out the day of my wedding that the other bride had moved her ceremony spot.
For such a beautiful property, your coordinators should be more professional. People spend a lot of money on weddings and at the very least expect timeliness from their coordinator. -

i chose the provence room at the westlake village inn for my reception because it is absolutely beautiful. dark wood floors, breathtaking chandeliers, gorgeous view, etc. it cost more than other venues i had looked at, but none compared to how beautiful westlake is.
leading up to the reception i was very excited and worked out many details with the coordinator there about how i wanted the cake to be cut and passed, times of the open bar, etc. all of these things i was assured would be no problem.
the night of, there were problems.
my coordinator was not there and passed my reception off to a co-worker who ignored our pre-arranged plans and did whatever he wanted, and so the cake cutting did not go the way we had worked out, the bar was open during dinner instead of during the dancing part of the evening, etc. the food the served our guests were MUCH smaller portions than we were shown at the tasting. (my mom's piece of fish was about one inch by 4 inches)
yes i was diasppointed by westlake village inn.
they charge 5 star prices but deliver maybe 3 or so star service.
saying that, if i were to do it all again, i would book there, just get it in writing that my coordinator would be there all evening, the size of the meals, etc worked into the contracts with a provision that if our requests were not followed that we would be given some sort of refund. it drove me crazy that we had to pay for things that we just did not get from them! -

We worked with Dana in their catering department and were very disappointed. We thought that this would be an exciting process but found that the WVI made it extremely stressful. They advertised that 20% service fee would be charged to food and beverage but were shocked to find that they add it to everything (including each of the $1.00 plate chargers and the corkage fee for the wine that we provided)! If I had the chance to do it over I would have chosen another venue.
The WVI gives couples a night in a standard room for the night of the wedding. We thought that this was great until we realized that they didn’t offer brides anywhere to get ready and suggested that we use the “free room” for the evening before the wedding. We ended up having to rent an extra room at the standard $160 rate for the bridal party to get ready.
The dinner was delicious and I would recommend the steak and eggplant lasagna options! We got a lot of compliments about the dinner! We brought in our own wine, as there selection was quite limited but found the WVI was completely inflexible about substituting the wine that came with the dinner package for anything else - additional bottles of their sparkling wine or give credit towards the corkage fee ($15 per bottle).
For the evening of our wedding we booked the Monet Suite. The room is beautiful at first glance. When you look a little closer you quickly see how dated it is. The shower has no water pressure and the sheets weren’t only extremely worn but they also had large holes in them! We definitely didn’t think that the room was worth the $500 that we paid (especially as it didn’t come with breakfast or any special wedding touches)!!! -

Beautiful venue, horrible staff
This negative review is solely for Dana Jordan who is the catering sales manager. The venue itself, food, and other staff were great.
Dana made what is supposed to be one of the most special days in your life, an awful experience. She’s rude, unprofessional, condescending, and unorganized. I myself work in the client service industry and would be appalled if anyone on my team treated someone like she treated me. She was often unclear and told us conflicting information, and when we wanted clarification or an explanation, she was short and became noticeably upset. She was also very rude to my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law on the day of the wedding, which is totally unacceptable. Once you dig into the reviews for this venue, you’ll see that many of the negative ones focus on Dana’s team (wedding coordinators). My husband described her team as “rotten.” If you’re looking for a stress-free, easy to work with venue who values its customers, this is not the place to go.

An embarrassing, stressful, awful experience
What should have been a joyful, relaxing, and lovely after-wedding brunch turned into an embarrassing, stressful, awful experience. That bad experience was made worse because Westlake Village Inn did not care. We had reserved a private buffet brunch for up to 80 people, for the day after my wedding. We created a menu with Kaylyn in the catering department, discussing how much food and coffee we should order for up to 80 people, selected tables, linens and dishes and paid in full ten days before the brunch (as required). The brunch was to be buffet style from 10:30AM - 1:30PM on the Vintage Patio. We were assured that the food would continually be replenished as needed since guests would be coming at different times.
When my mom arrived early on the morning of the brunch, the servers immediately took her aside and told her that the food currently displayed was all the food we would receive - they said we could not get more food because it was a holiday weekend (Memorial Day weekend) and the other restaurants at the hotel were closed. They were firm in the fact that they absolutely could not make more food because there was no food to make. My mom was immediately shocked and horrified as the amount of food set out was clearly insufficient for 80 people, not appropriate for the "come when you want" brunch, not what we carefully planned and not what she paid for. The servers said they wanted us to know, there would not be enough food and that was it.
The first guests arrived at 10:30. Approximately 15 people served themselves, got beverages and sat down to eat. One guest went up for a second cup of coffee and was rudely told there was no more coffee. The bacon, sausage, and potato trays were empty, and the juice and coffee station was nearly empty. Guests were arriving and were hungry. There were no drinks, no hot food, and only a few dry bagels on a plate, a bowl of yogurt, and a half-eaten tray of fruit. Guests were telling my mom that there was no coffee, no juice, not enough food. We were mortified.
My aunt and uncle (who should have been relaxing, enjoying family and the brunch) ran to their car, drove up the street and got deli platters and sandwiches from a local grocery store so my mom would not have to suffer the humiliation of 60 wedding guests arriving at a brunch where there was no food. When they returned, they began to put the food out as guests were all asking where the food was. There was still no coffee or juice! Unknown to us, the staff and manager were watching this all unfold on their security cameras and the manager angrily came out to tell us we could not have our own food there. My mom once again told them she paid for food for 80 people. They only provided food for 20 and did not replenish as promised. Miraculously, when they saw us bring food in, they managed to find more bacon, sausage and potatoes "in the back" and charged my mom an additional $200. By then, the damage was done. Hungry guests had left to find breakfast, or were eating the deli platters and sandwiches my family had to bolt out to get.
Meanwhile, the very nice serving staff told us this happens "all the time" and that we should complain. Following the brunch from hell, my mom and I contacted Kaylyn in the catering department to tell her what happened. We met with her in person, to convey how shocked and upset we were, especially after working with her to plan properly. She seemed surprised but simply apologized and told us they would make changes so this doesn't happen again. Westlake Village Inn didn't even offer to refund the additional $200 we had to pay for food we had already paid for! My wedding brunch was ruined, my mom was humiliated, we spent hundreds more than budgeted for deli platters and paying twice for the catering we already had paid for, guests were hungry (and are STILL talking about the buffet that wasn't), and Westlake Village Inn did nothing to even try to make it right.
There are moments in life so important that there are no do-overs. A wedding weekend is one of those events. As local residents, the Westlake Village Inn seemed like the perfect place to end a magical wedding weekend. The Westlake Village Inn is beautiful, no doubt about that. But the beauty of the location does not make up for the awful experience. We felt scammed, and it was clear from the servers that this scam was common. We will never book another event at the Westlake Village Inn. -

A very stressful experience
We instantly fell in love with this venue. It’s absolutely stunning. Now, wedding planning is stressful enough, so when hiring a wedding coordinator (which Westlake requires) you imagine it will make the process easier. This was not the case, as our original coordinator Kelly was out of office every single time we tried to contact her. When she did reply, she was unhelpful and gave off the impression that we were bothering her and we were an inconvenience. We felt very confused and hurt by this but brushed it off at first thinking maybe it would get better. It didn’t, they only got more condescending.
When we decided to only hold a reception at Westlake instead of the ceremony which would be held elsewhere, they rescinded their offer of a complimentary room. This felt very unfair as it is still our wedding and we would now have to pay our own way for a suite when it was originally provided for us. We then spoke to Briana who was just as dismissive and unkind as Kelly. Our whole experience was dismal and the event planning staff were incredibly rude, unprofessional and condescending. I would ask standard questions such as, how does cake setup work or how do I get help coordinating with my vendors? To which I got a reply of “we don’t provide that service.” Then what are we paying a mandatory $1,200 coordinator fee for? It’s obvious they were handed these jobs and face no consequences to their actions. My fiancé ultimately had to speak to the VP of the hotel and he thankfully let us out of our contract but was quite rude when listening to our thoughts and concerns. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews pointing out that the staff here makes planning your wedding MUCH more difficult than it needs to be. Brides, please beware of this and go somewhere that will make your day stress free and wonderful. This is not the venue for that. -

I would definitely NOT recommend getting married here.
We encountered endless problems with the Westlake Village Inn from the planning to the night of my wedding. We got married there in May 2016. We had the ceremony at the Mediterraneo Gazebo and the cocktail hour by the lake, and the reception in the tent. It is very apparent that the Westlake Village Inn is ill equipped to have multiple weddings in one evening. They were significantly under staffed and were unable to provide adequate help and failed miserably to fulfill their legal duties detailed in our contract.
- Bartenders. The WVInn only provides 1 bartenders for your event (we had 250 people so that was not going to work). We bought the most expensive bar package and added some nice bottles to that. We expressed to the WVInn coordinator that the bar was one of the most important parts of our wedding and we did NOT want a line at the bar. We additionally added servers to the cocktail hour to pass around cocktails to alleviate the line at the bar. We added more bartenders so we would get drinks out to our guests in the first two hours while we were on package.
The additional bar tenders we paid for were never provided. There were long lines at the bar. People could not get drinks at the cocktail hour because the bar line was so long. To make matters worse, they LIED TO MY DAD. The captain said that the extra bartender was walking around.
- Valet Parking. According to the wedding program valet parking is included (and if it wasn't we would have included it in our package since I have never been to a wedding where I had to pay for my own valet.) However, MANY of our guests were charged for valet. Some of our guests did not have cash and had to go park down the street. How embarrassing.
- Room for the Bridge and Groom after the ceremony (+ bathroom). I spoke many times to the onsite coordinator about a room for my husband and I after the ceremony to fulfill the Jewish tradition of Yichud. I eve -

The only positive thing I can say about this location is the Property...the grounds are beautiful and was the one thing that attracted us to this Hotel.
Overall the staff was VERY unprofessional and difficult to work with, this Hotel requires that you bring in a Coordinator or use one on-site at an additional fee - what a HUGE waste of money. The rooms were very nice BUT the carpets where filthy and unfortunately we experienced theft in two rooms and to date have yet to receive a call back after several messages and emails.
DONT waste your money at this Hotel!!!!! -
