    Wedding room block

We worked with Alexandra, who was our consultant for our wedding weekend room block at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village this October 2018. Alexandra was amazing to work with - she answered all of our questions in a timely manner and offered recommendations and support throughout our entire wedding planning process. In addition, she ensured that our wedding weekend ran smoothly and stress-free, from the delivery of our guest welcome bags, to coordination of the guest room reservations and shuttle bus pick up, etc. I would highly recommend the Westin!

My husband and I had a wonderful time during our wedding. Our guests were well taken care of and we felt that the meetings management's customer service was so on point!

Kate Pristash was a wonderful manager and consultant for our wedding at the Forrestal Westin. She was friendly, polite, and detail-oriented. She helped me coordinated so many reception details even though I was out of state which made it difficult. She had a lovely tasting menu day planned. She helped arrange for my family to stay overnight beforehand and figure out getting ready rooms. The day of she made sure everything went perfectly!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Paula Bennett and everyone at the Westin was! They made our dream wedding come true! Paula handled every little detail perfectly! We stayed at the Westin the night before the wedding day with our parents and wedding party. It was so nice being able to have our hair and makeup done in our rooms while eating delicious breakfast in bed! The grounds of the Westin, including the fountain out front, made the most beautiful backdrop for photos! When we arrived back at the Westin, after going to the church for the ceremony, Paula greeted us at our Limo to congratulate us and show us to our private room for cocktail appetizers so the wedding party could relax before the reception. When we entered the ballroom, my husband and I were speechless! The room was BEAUTIFUL! Everything was laid out perfectly! The only thing that could top the decor was the AMAZING food! Everything we ate was TOP CHEF! We had friends coming up to us all night telling us that the food was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding and how this was the BEST wedding they have ever been to! (I know that this sounds like we are just gushing because it was OUR wedding, but honestly, so much of what we had was because of the Westin) To top off the night, the Westin gave us a beautiful suite for the night with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a handwritten note. We ended our celebration the next morning with a large breakfast for all of our overnight guests!

If you are thinking at all about getting married around the Princeton, NJ area, I would without reservation RUN to the Westin and book your event! I can't imagine a more PERFECT spot to have your reception! The staff, food, decor, and rooms at the Westin are PERFECT!

I had my dream wedding at the Westin. It is a posh rich gorgeous hotel with a great setup for weddings. We used both of the hotel's rooms- one for the ceremony and the other for the reception. The corridor was used for the cocktail hour. The staff was wonderful and made it seem like it was our place for the day. The guests moved around freely and enjoyed themselves in between events. The bharat was done without much restriction, my husband's family thoroughly enjoyed this because they themselves were able to have their dream entrance. They have a very systematic way of booking rooms, and gives people the luxury of staying at the hotel during the event. For pictures they have an outside area that was intimate enough for my husband and I take photos in between events. It was convenient, and I would most definitely do it all over again only at the Westin!!

Kate P. in catering was an absolute joy to work with. She helped with so many aspects of our stay at the Westin, not just our post wedding breakfast. The Westin was accommodating to every need we had on our wedding day while getting ready at the hotel. The guests were all pleased with their stay and our breakfast went well. If you work with Kate you will not be disappointed!

I highly recommend the Westin as a wedding venue. I considered approximately 20 different venues in the Central and North Jersey area before coming across the Westin at the Forrestal Village. The banquet staff at the Westin are all very professional. Before and during the wedding I was very pleased with the entire staff. Before the wedding we dealt with Paula, who was extremely professional, kind, patient and responsive. I met with many banquet sales managers at other venues, and she was the best. Their pricing is very competitive and they are also very flexible and in our case were willing to change plans up to the week before the wedding.
The day of wedding banquet staff were fantastic. During the wedding we had our personal staff who made sure all our needs were met and packaged up all our gifts at the end of the wedding and took them up to our room. The staff really made us feel special for our wedding weekend.
We had some minor issues with the room block, which Paula was able to fix immediately. I would definitely recommend that you stay on top of your room block and deal with any issues as soon as they come to head. By the way, the rooms at this hotel are modern and clean (the bridal suite is huge and was perfect for getting ready in). The pool, workout room and free shuttle to Princeton was perfect for out-of-town guests and family. On top of that, Forrestal Village has a food court and some (albeit limited) shopping that guests can walk to from the hotel.

We worked with Kate and she was an absolute delight to work with. Our entire event was planned and executed very seamlessly and we did not face a lot of stress with the venue as one would expect during the wedding planning process. Kate was very professional and prompt and the entire staff was very pleasant to work with. I'd highly recommend this venue and Kate to anyone looking!

    Great venue at Princeton Westin

We held our Indian wedding functions at the Westin Princeton. Overall we had a great experience. Lauren and team were wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and she's well versed in Indian weddings. The venue is conveniently located about 10-15 min drive from Princeton University area.

The hotel was clean and had multiple room options for both smaller and larger events. The ballroom is spacious and was a great backdrop for our sangeet, ceremony, and reception. We held our cocktail hour in the Terrace View Room/courtyard space and it was great to have an indoor-outdoor option. We had a room block as well, and guest rooms were roomy and had updated amenities which was appreciated.

A few of the cons - we ran into a few issues with guest room reservations and in-house catering. We'd previously gone over the menu and dietary requirements in detail with the chef yet during one of our lunches, the desserts were not baked according to the dietary requirements and couldn't be served to guests.

I had a great experience with the Westin Princeton. They have held a ton of Indian weddings, so their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. They were also very accommodating in terms of letting us drop off favors, gift bags, place cards, etc. early in the week and then taking care of all those items for us day-of. We were nervous because our main contact changed early on in the planning process, but the new catering manager Shari was very helpful and experienced. On the day of the wedding, the staff made sure everything was running smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything. We felt like they took our event very seriously and made it their priority. They also let our decorator come in and start setting up the room at 5am! I did feel like the process for reserving the guest rooms / room block could have been streamlined and the reservations contact was not very responsive. Our contract also required us to use a particular caterer and bakery. But overall we very much enjoyed having our wedding there and they did a great job helping to coordinate the event.

I had my Wedding Reception at The Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village on June 24th, 2016. The location of this venue and the Ballroom design is great. That may be the only good things about this place. From the start, we were cheated with the contract with Shari not explaining the costs properly. Throughout the process, after she quit, a whole new set of catering managers came on board and there started problem after problem. Reservations was the biggest annoyance and communication was barely there. Every question I had, it took days for a response, if I ever even got one. The day of the reception, there were so many problems that I should not have been aware of. Nelson, who was the banquet manager basically blamed the catering managers for the problems when I am the one who sent in drawings and documents myself. They are so disorganized and blaming your own staff is not professional in any way. Even now, when I want my problems resolved, No one will return my e-mails. When I speak to someone, they say they will definitely look into the matter and get back to me and keep giving me a run-a-round. I do not recommend this place to anyone with this staff. If you can get over the staff being incompetent, than this may be an option for you.

    What a disaster!!!

I planned an even for 40 Adults and children, we reserved 25 guestrooms and 3 meeting rooms. From the minute we walked in thru the enitre weekend, there was no one to talk to. No one showed us where our rooms were and of course when problems arrised no on came to help out. The biggestproblem with this hotel is that the A/C does not work!! period!!!! Setting an A/C to 60 degreess you thing we would freeze ourselves but we felt as if we were in a steam bath. 40 adults and a few crying abies in a boiling hot room is not a pleasant site. We went down to the front desk approx 10 times over the weekened but all we got "We will come check it out" or that nod with the head and crooked smile "we are so sorry and we will try assist you" BS!!! finally saturday night a guy comes up to the meeting room and tells us "of course the room is hot becuase you have the doors open" well DUH!!!! we have the doors open becuase the room was frikin hot and we had no choice!!!!

after the weekend i have spent many hours and already 2 months sicne my stay and no offer of compensation and no assistance with the disaster that we had. to top it off they charged us extra for cleaning fee when the room was left spotless. their accounting dept has no clue whats going on there. no one can give starught answers. got to keep calling and getting transfered to this nad that person.

all in all if you plan on having any kind of event there.... STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!
