Having our reception at the Westin was one of the easiest and best decisions we made. Kelly was a DREAM to work with and someone we now consider a friend. Her team is incredibly dedicated and organized. The catering team provided us with an amazing tasting and AMAZING service that our guests are still talking about. Kelly worked seamlessly with our day of coordinator to ensure her service team and our vendors were working in perfect lockstep. The ballroom is large and provided the perfect space for our large live band and 200 guests, with more than enough space for cookie table / photobooth, etc. We also leveraged the connecting parlor suite for myself, my moms and our bridesmaids to get ready for morning of and it was the perfect space for all of our needs. NOT to mention that gorgeous greenery wall in the lobby for photos. :) Kelly helped us to coordinate breakfast & lunch drop-offs with the Westin and the entire day was so smooth. We will missing working with her and the entire Westin team!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about The Westin in Pittsburgh. I planned my wedding from out of town and was unable to see the venue or try any of the food. We had a small intimate wedding and we weren’t going to need the traditional amount of resources and the staff was happy to help us. They accommodated all of our requests no matter how small. The event staff was very quick to respond and I never felt like I was sending too many emails. When the day finally arrived, they greeted us in the lobby and assisted in unloading. We were upgraded to a suite and they sent us little gifts throughout our stay to celebrate our event. They made the entire thing so stress free. The staff did an amazing job setting up the decorations and helped what we pictured in our heads come to life. The food was delicious, the room was spacious and beautiful, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Checking out was a breeze as they broke down the room and had everything waiting for us at concierge. As a bride you always hear stories of a day filled with stress or something going wrong, but The Westin took care of every detail, allowing me to enjoy my day without worry or stress. Thank you to all the staff at the Westin, specifically Becky and Lindsey for everything they did to help make my day perfect.

The Westin ballroom was absolutely beautiful for our wedding. Everything was set up as according to plan and it ran VERY smooth. However, what/who my wife and I were extremely pleased with was the event coordinator, Lindsey. She was absolutely wonderful. Her professionalism and work ethic is on another level. Her communication throughout the entire process was impeccable. She made our wedding planning process about as least stressful as it could be. The day of our wedding, she was even better! I didn’t know that was possible. Anything my wife and I needed, (even things we didn’t even know we needed!) she provided and provided it promptly. I cannot praise the venue and Lindsey enough. If the Westin is in the running for a wedding or any event you might have, you will be very pleased with the service.

Our entire Experience at the Westin was unbelievable. They helped our dreams come true. The whole process was so easy and enjoyable because of everyone at the Westin I would recommend this to absolutely anyone!

The Westin team of Becky and Lindsey were the most amazing people to work with for our June wedding. They were responsive to emails, documented and remembered all discussions and decisions, were flexible with special requests and went above and beyond to make the day perfect. On the day-off, every detail was perfection and exactly as we discussed or better. Wedding planning is stressful but my husband and I were so happy with our decision to go with the Westin for our all-day event!

I worked with Lindsey and Becky (L&B) at the Westin throughout my long engagement and I cannot stress how wonderful everything was. I sent constant emails and had communication with both L&B throughout the wedding planning process. They answered all of my questions in such a timely fashion, I couldn't help but feel so relieved they were in charge of my husband and I's special day. The week of, Lindsey would talk/text and make herself extremely available to ensure if I needed anything, she could help. She made it seem like I was her only client (when I know I wasn't!). The little details L&B meant the world to met. They ensured the signs were appropriately placed, I had snacks in my room the night before along with champagne when my husband and I got back to the room the night of our wedding. Everyone at the Westin was so accommodating, I wish I could relive the day, but only because of the hard work Lindsey and Becky put in made the day so perfect.

The Westin was absolutely the best choice we made when it came to our special day! The modern and elegant vibe of the establishment matched our NYE theme perfectly! Becky and her team were professional, supportive, and accommodating to all of our needs throughout the planning process and the evening of the event. Becky always had the answers to every single one of our questions within 24 hours. It really helped us plan everything we wanted timely so that we could move onto the next item. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!! Every single guest commented on how the food was the best wedding food they have ever experienced. With 200+ guests, we were very impressed with the quality and presentation! I would recommend the Westin to any couple planning a wedding or an event :)

Everything from the Westin was exactly as we would have expected. Our point of contact, Ava, joined the team after we'd already booked our wedding, but she picked up right away and took care of every detail. She was always available and responsive and made us feel like everything was handled well. On the night of, the kitchen staff executed everything perfectly, we had tons of compliments on our food, they even nailed almost 100 filets! We also booked a block of rooms with the hotel, which was super convenient, and Aubrey, my POC for the rooms, was also super accommodating and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we got rooms, even after our block was "over", on a home Steelers weekend, no less! Overall, we had a great experience with the Westin, it was convenient, easy, and everything turned out beautifully!

Megan was wonderful to work with, she is very organized and made us feel extremely comfortable leading up to our big day. The process was stress free! Megan & team were clearly committed to making sure our weekend was nothing but perfect, and went out of their way to make every second of it special. We could not have picked a better venue & team to work with. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. Our guests still talk about our wedding - from the look of the ballroom, to how wonderful the food was, and of course the amount of detail that was put into all of it. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for making our day so special!

My experience with The Westin & Megan was everything I could have hoped for. We had such a large wedding, and Megan made planning and our day seamless. So very thankful!

The entire Westin staff is fantastic, flexible and always went above and beyond to make sure we were perfectly happy with every detail, especially since we had to make several accommodations for our South Asian wedding rituals. Becky was extremely professional and responsive to any and every request. The venue itself is also beautiful and updated compared to most other hotels in the downtown Pittsburgh area. It also comfortable accommodated our 500 or so guests seated in the ballroom. Highly recommend the Westin Convention Center!

The professionalism of the staff made the planning process extremely easy. Megan graciously and professionally coordinated all of the vendors to ensure that everything ran smoothly. She was not only available for the entire planning process, but there throughout the evening of the event to ensure the perfect night that we had planned.

I had my reception at the Westin this past September, and it was absolutely amazing! My original coordinator had left in May and our new coordinator Megan jumped in right away and nailed all the details! We couldn't be happier with our decision to book the Westin, not only is it a beautiful venue but the service was excellent!

The Westin made my dream wedding a reality! I wasn't sure what expect during my first visit to the Westin, but the Allegheny Ballroom is breathtaking. From the moment we walked in, I knew this is where we would have our wedding reception. Ashleen was so helpful in all the preparations, very prompt in answering questions and so helpful in guiding us through the planning process. The food is incredible! It's difficult to imagine how all the guests could be served a delicious, hot dinner, but the Westin did it! Our cake was unbelievable! It was so pretty and delicious. Also, so important was the Westin's hospitality in preparing bridal party and guest accommodations. I was able to stay the night before with all my bridesmaids and had plenty of room for everyone to get hair and makeup done along with my bridal portraits. We continued the party after the reception at Bill's Burgers in the lobby and then paraded the streets of Pittsburgh for a late night cap. And lastly, my outside wedding vendors also had a nice experience. They are, after all, the ones that bring everything together. The Westin is definitely a top notch spot for a Pittsburgh Wedding.

The Westin provided the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding reception. The food was of gourmet quality and the bar and hors d'oeuvres were outstanding. We've received so many compliments from our guests on all aspects of the reception and the Sunday breakfast. There aren't enough accolades to adequately describe Ashleen Wilwohl, the Westin Event Coordinator. She was magnificent by answering all of our questions and instilling confidence that we were being well cared for. She masterfully coordinated all aspects of the reception and Sunday breakfast. The service staff was also outstanding. We did have a few disappointments though. The gift bags were not distributed to many of our guests' rooms for which we provided the list of names and paid the fee associated for this service. While the cookies on the cookie table were beautifully displayed, they were made available much too early and some "early birds" helped themselves gluttonously, leaving later guests wanting, The bars ran out of champagne over half an hour before the designated end of the reception. However, these were minor flaws in an otherwise superlative wedding evening! We are all pleased and satisfied!

The Westin was a beautiful place to have a wedding and we loved every minute of ours! The staff is professional, accommodating, and very knowledgable! I highly recommend the Westin and Ashleen! We could've have asked for a better day!

I used The Westin Convention Center as one of my hotels for out-of-state family and friends who came to my wedding. The Westin was very polite, accommodating, and responsive to any concerns I may have had. Will definitely use them again for hotel services.

Reserved a block of rooms for guests as well as a suite for my daughter and her bridesmaids to get dressed in, have make up and hair done. The staff at the hotel went over and above to help us in every way possible. I heartily recommend this hotel and its staff. Everything was top notch!

The Westin was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The venue was beautiful, the food was outstanding, the service was superb, and the planning staff was wonderful. We had so many compliments on everything at the reception, including several comments about it being 'the best wedding' our guests had ever been to. The prices were very reasonable for what is included in the package, and the room rates were fantastic for a downtown hotel!! We highly recommend this venue to future couples.

Megan Colf at the Westin was absolutely amazing! She worked with me to make sure that everything was covered on my big day. I would recommend the Westin to anyone looking for a beautiful venue in Pittsburgh. The food was amazing and they exceeded my expectations! All of my guests were treated like royalty!

Since there was nothing else going on in the ballroom, they upgraded us to the ballroom. It was a bigger room and made everything even more perfect than we had planned!

The Westin has a beautiful ballroom and excellent food for a wedding. The staff was super accommodating and very easy to work with.

If you want an absolutely stunning wedding venue with even better food the Westin is your place! My husband and I chose the Westin for numerous reasons: the look, location, space, staff, and especially the privacy. We've been to weddings at other venues where there were numerous ballrooms so close together that you could hear the commotion of the other events. The Westin does not have this issue!

The Westin's Allegheny Ballroom is not only huge, but it is also on it's own floor so you have complete privacy from other weddings and events. The Westin also has a newly renovated bar on the lobby floor for your guests who want to continue the party after the wedding. The hotel rooms are also wonderful and clean. I know I already mentioned the food, but it is worth mentioning again because it was spectacular! There is a variety of menu options to choose from for your special day and they are all to die for!

I wish I could have my reception all over again!!!

Loved the one stop shopping at the Westin. Only needed photographer, videographer and florist. Everything else was there!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous. It is rather expensive but if you are willing to spend the money to have a beautiful downtown wedding, I would definitely recommend the Westin.

Hosted sunday brunch for wedding weekend. Overall excellent value and top notch staff. Would definitely recommend for hosting any wedding guests in Pittsburgh! Excellent rooms, excellent location, phenomenal staff.

Megan from the Westin was very professional and always helpful. She is very receptive to our requests and tried (and succeeded) to make our event so special.

When we were first looking at venues, we didn’t quite know where we wanted to get married. But after visiting the Westin, we KNEW this was the only place we could hold our wedding. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and elegant, and we knew the Westin staff would treat our guests well. What we didn’t realize was just how well the Westin would treat *us*. Their staff went above and beyond to make the night special. They were incredibly accommodating, despite our (many) requests. When we needed nearly 80 rooms as part of our wedding block? They got us the rooms. When we wanted to do a cocktail hour beforehand? No problem. When we wanted to get married at the hotel? They found us a room and made it look absolutely beautiful. When we asked for pierogies and Primantis-style sandwiches late night? They made it happen.

We told them that we wanted three things from our wedding: To make sure people ate a lot, danced a lot, and drank a lot. Well: The food was delicious, and people left full. The bars never had lines. And the dance floor has to be the biggest in Pittsburgh. At the end of the night, no one wanted to leave.

The wedding was a huge, huge success. We had an incredible wedding weekend, and we’re so thankful to Ashleen and her team at the Westin. They came through and made it a wedding we’ll never forget!

Becky was great! I really loved meeting with her. She was very informative; as we walked through she made sure to tell me where everything would be the day of to kind of give me an idea. Overall we just decided to not go with the Westin as it was over our budget. I believe the minimum was $25K and it didn't include floral arrangements, chairs, lighting etc. The ballroom was also very very big and we felt like with only having 150 people or so it may seem empty. Becky was wonderful though, the hotel is beautiful, I would certainly recommend if it's in your budget

The catering was extraordinary. The wedding consultant was very professional and responsive.
However, we had trouble getting the gift bags to the rooms, and the bridal suite was not clean.

We were very happy with having our cocktail hour & reception at the Westin Convention Center Pittsburgh. The staff was very professional and made it a seamless experience, and our catering manager Megan was amazing. She did a great job and put up with all of our many questions, and really strived to make our reception as wonderful as possible! The ballroom was very large, yet they did a great job of us not getting lost in it. Our guests felt like they could move around without stepping on top of each other. The decor was fabulous, and everything ran smoothly. To this day we receive comments on how wonderful the Westin was, and the food was fabulous as well. We really got a lot of "bang for our buck" and exceptional service there. We would definitely recommend this venue!

Our wedding did not go nearly as planned and many promises were broken. However the wedding planner did her best to apologize and remedy things after the event passed.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HOTEL HERE!!! We are getting married in Pittsburgh on June 2, 2018 and chose The Westin Convention Center Pittsburgh for our guests and wedding party to stay. We visited the hotel, loved every aspect of it... until it came to booking rooms. We were told that we would be granted 20 rooms to start for our wedding block and that "more could be added" once these rooms were booked. Well, we were just informed that this is now no longer the case... and that no more rooms will be added to our block due to a concert that they have known about for months! Our wedding is 3 months away, and 16 of the rooms are already booked (not even half of our guests) and the Westin has told us that there is nothing they will do. WORST EXPERIENCE!!! I do not recommend dealing with this hotel, as it has now only caused stress and aggravation.
