10/10 recommend The Westin Chicago Northwest for your wedding! We had our wedding in the Lakeside Pavilion and it was so beautiful. We worked with Aileen to plan our wedding and she went above and beyond to make sure the planning process was smooth. She promptly answered all my questions and was a great resource overall. The food & drinks were phenomenal, we received so many compliments from our guests! I wish we could live the day over again.

We were married at the end of October in the lakeside tent and everything was perfect. From the very start, we felt confident working with Monica. She was extremely thoughtful and responsive to all our many, many emails with questions. She seemlessly worked with our vendors and helped troubleshoot issues. Monica truly cares about making your day special and will help settle any concerns you have. Our guests were well taken care of and everyone commented on the quality of food. As for a venue, the hotel is very nice and well located for our mainly out of town guests who flew into O'Hare. The Lakeside tent was gorgeous and romantic. Our guests enjoyed the hotel and the quality beds. We were very, very happy with our experience with Westin. Thank you Monica for helping make our day so special!! 5 Stars for going above and beyond.

My husband and I had our wedding this past weekend at the Westin and we were so happy with it all! From working with Monica, the beautiful venue space, the food, and the catering staff everything was phenomenal! All of the staff are amazing to work with and we loved planning our wedding with Monica, she was always responsive and helped us all along the way. We received compliments all night on the venue and the food. We are so happy with our decision to go with the Westin!

The Westin Chicago Northwest is the ideal spot for a wedding. Ours was in December, so the lobby was decorated and the tent had a Christmas tree and fireplace to add to the ambiance.

Aileen is one of the easiest people to work with. She truly knows the workings of the hotel and planning weddings. She answered our questions extremely quickly and throughly. She was present for our wedding and helped to direct the other vendors, our wedding party, and my husband and I. I can’t say enough good things about her!

For food, we ended up going with the combo meal since it was the same cost as the other options. This made our lives so much easier since we didn’t have to worry about people RSVPing with specific meal preferences unless they were vegetarian, gluten free, etc. The food was PHENOMENAL! We got so many comments about how much people liked the combo of the filet and cranberry chicken. Appetizers were also amazing, but we didn’t really have a chance to get any! The cake is from Lovin Oven, so really, what could be better?!

Overall, we are still on cloud 9 and we truly owe that to the Westin. Everything went so smoothly, which with Covid, can’t always be guaranteed! I’d recommend this venue to ANYONE! 💙

The staff at Westin Chicago Northwest were memorable. Helpful, accommodating and kind would be the top three words I use to describe them, which made for a smooth event. As curveballs were thrown into the day's events, the team handled everything with ease and grace. It was fantastic!

The Westin Chicago Northwest was the perfect place to hold our wedding reception. Not only is it beautiful inside the lobby and Lakeside Pavilion, but it was surprisingly affordable. An incredible value, considering all that is included. Purchasing a package was a life-saver, especially with a short engagement. The package includes just about everything -- room, linens, cake, chairs, food, a bar, planning services via a coordinator, who worked with us from day one. Aileen was amazing, very flexible and quick to respond. Definitely give it a visit!

We lucked into finding this venue after having to find a new location for our wedding 2 weeks before our date! All I can say is things really do happen fora a reason. Everything was PERFECT. Aileen was wonderful to work with- she knows her stuff! The staff was so friendly and the food was top notch.... everyone is still raving about how good it was! We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out.

The Westin grounds are beautiful as well as the hotel and all of the event spaces. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and our reception here. We chose the Lakeside Pavilion for our reception. Having everything in one place truly helped our out of town guests! The wedding packages include so much also for the price. The food is amazing here also. The variety of spirts and local beer is one of the best options out there. Sheree was our main point of contact throughout the planning process. She is amazing to work with and was always very prompt to respond to questions and concerns. The staff at the Westin are incredible! We highly recommend the Westin Chicago Northwest for your reception!

The Westin was the best! We knew after our first meeting after walking out that was our place! We saw over 20 venues from Elgin to Downers Grove and even Chicago! I wanted a place where it was just as beautiful outside as inside so we didn't have to go anywhere else after the church for pictures, and of course the food had to be 5 stars! Westin delivered! Best bang for your buck and not to mention the exquisite grounds for stunning pictures. I also hated the feeling of being in walls for my wedding, the tent was exceptional so different, elegant, classy and romantic! We had the most beautiful and fun wedding, our family still talks about and we were married last year 2018! And of course cannot forget Sherre out wedding coordinator at Westin she made all our dreams come true from beginning to end Sherre was the most professional, fun, fun-loving, caring and personable coordinator! Go Westin for all your wedding dreams! Anything is possible there! P.S. the bakery they use is out of this world most beautiful cake ever!

I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to everyone. We worked with Aileen who was very sweet, thorough, organized, and helpful. She gave us advice while planning and would fulfill our requests. We had a little obstacle in the final stage when people were unable to get a hotel room within our wedding block, but once we notified her she took care of it. I could go on and on about how wonderful this venue was. Our guests said they felt like they weren't in Illinois and that the hotel and surrounding landscape was beautiful. Also the food was raved about by everyone! Outstanding venue!!!

We recently had our wedding at the Westin and it was amazing. We worked with Monica and she was great. Everytime we had a question she got back to us right away and was very helpful. All of the staff was great. The food was amazing and all of our guests loved everything. The staff did an outstanding job!

We are so pleased with our experience having our wedding at the Westin! From our first tour to the wedding night every planning appointment was so easy and working with Monica was a dream. We had our reception in the tent and the ceremony and cocktail hour were held outside. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and were the prefect backdrop to have the outdoor parts of our evening. There were so many awesome locations to take photos at, making the evening so seamless because we didn't need to travel anywhere else to have great photo spots. The food and drinks were amazing. The bartenders were great and handled our guests efficiently. The food was to die for. I know everyone tries to brag about their wedding food when most wedding food is not good, but I cannot emphasize enough how delicious the wedding food was. We have had SO many compliments on the food. Everything was cooked perfectly and I would return to this location just to have that meal again. The hotel room block was also very accommodating and we have had no complaints from any of our guests about their rooms. We had a lot of people stay the night and everyone was very happy with their experience. Another bonus with this venue is that they offered a location for us to have an after party after our reception ended. This was an awesome way for our guests to continue to party but in a more relaxed setting and this actually gave us (bride and groom) time to socialize after dancing for literally the entire night. And by having a separate space for that we didn't have to do this in our hotel room like I have seen at other weddings we have attended. Overall would 100% pick this venue again and would recommend it to everyone!

We had our dream wedding come true at the Westin in the Pavilion Tent! Sheree was our wedding coordinator and couldn't have been more helpful through the entire planning process! Her communication with not only us, but our external vendors, made this very stressful time so much easier! Our guests raved about the food and thought the venue was amazing, highly recommend this place!

We had to switch wedding venues due to our original venue having water damage and a slew of other problems. So after getting our deposit back we found ourself less then four months our with no venue. After about 100 phone calls we found the Westin which was perfect. They magically had our date open, and we’re so kind and flexible with us basically replanting our wedding In a couple months. My wedding was amazing. And a lot of it had to do with this venue.

We had our son's wedding for about 350 people at the Westin, Northwest, Itasca Illinois. the hotel is large conveniently located close to the airport and the rooms are spacious. We has 5 events there over 3 days and we were extremely pleased. The wait staff was hard working and efficient. The best part of our wedding was our coordinator, Sheree. I could not have asked for a better person to work with! She is efficient, personable, reliable and responsive. She made it single handedly possible for me to plan this long distance!

I don't even know where to begin with the Westin. We got married on May 25, 2018. From start to finish, we had the BEST experience. Our coordinator was Sheree Slupski and we had our ceremony outside in front of the willow tree and our reception in the Lakeside Pavilion. I was impressed with the Westin from the minute we walked in and took our tour. It kind of worried me to book a wedding at a venue without tasting the food, but once we got to the tasting I was blown away. Every single thing was absolutely delicious and it made it hard to chose what we wanted to eat! Even on the day of the wedding I thought the food may not be as good since they make so much more at that point. I was wrong again, every person's steak was cooked perfectly and I got endless compliments on the food. My only regret is that I didn't finish my plate! The bakery they are connected with is also amazing. The cake tasted super fresh and moist on the day of the wedding. Sheree was super helpful throughout the entire process. As I am a wedding photographer myself, I am very particular and knew exactly how I wanted my day to run. She always answered my emails promptly and answered every question I asked (which was many!!). On the day of, we hit very few bumps in the road, all of which were taken care of by Sheree and the staff immediately. Somehow between the rehearsal and the reception, the selfie stick I had placed on a table next to our "selfie station" went missing. During dinner, Sheree drove to a nearby Walmart to buy a new one!! I was so impressed and grateful. Many of our family members told us how much they loved the staff and some of them even gave them tips they thought they were so great. I actually photographed a wedding there a few weeks after my own and some of the staff remembered me and asked how I was. It was so sweet! Bottom line: Definitely book at the Westin! It may seem pricey to some, but so much is included in their packages, it's well worth every penny!! :D

We had our ceremony and reception in the Pavilion (the beautiful four-season tent) at the Westin Northwest on April 21st 2018. With 50% of guests from out of town, we wanted to have all the wedding events in one location that was easy to access from the airport, nice enough for people to stay the weekend, and somewhere that fit with our budget. The Westin Northwest met all three criteria and was far and away the obvious choice! While I could probably ramble on a bit more, the most important thing (and the biggest compliment, in my opinion) was that having our wedding here was EASY. Monica (our dedicated coordinator) was so wonderful and responsive - she answered all our questions, made sure we we on top of our timelines, and helped us to pick and choose what things to put in our package in order to stay on top of our budget. Because of her work and planning, we were able to relax that day and enjoy our party. Thank you, thank you, thank you - we would do it all over again!

We got married on August 19th and The Westin Chicago Northwest was the PERFECT venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. We had a lot of out of town guests so the fact that everyone could stay in one location made it so convenient for them. Our ceremony took place outside and it was such a beautiful setting. We had our cocktail hour on the patio and our reception was in the Lakeside Pavilion. I wanted a tented feel so the fact that we were able to have that but also have air conditioning was the icing on the cake! The Lakeside Pavilion is so unique because each bride can truly make it their own. Every wedding I have seen in the pavilion looks so different and the all white canvas allows each couple to make it a reflection of them.

The food was also AMAZING! We added late night snacks and the strawberry infusion bar and are so thankful we did! Our guests still rave about it all! We've heard from multiple people that it was the best food they have had at a wedding. We worked with Aileen throughout the process and she was very helpful with all of our questions and needs. I couldn't recommend The Westin Chicago Northwest more - I truly think it is such an amazing venue and am so happy that we chose to have our special day there!

We had our reception at in the Lakeside Pavilion tent for 230 people on October 14. Throughout the entire planning process, Sheree Slupski was incredible. She was a quick and effective communicator, and always answered my multitude of questions and concerns with a generous and helpful spirit. The staff was wonderful the entire week of the wedding, allowing us to drop off anything we wanted beforehand, setting up our tables and linens as soon as they could, and were so helpful when my family and friends set up our décor, etc. Sheree and the entire staff made sure every detail was perfect. We were very impressed with the service we received at our tasting, from Sheree along the way, and on our wedding night. The food and bar package are very solid, especially considering just how large-scale the catering has to be. We received SO many compliments on our venue, food, and service. It just so happened that our wedding night became the wettest October day in history (10.9 inches of rain in Itasca!), but the tent and staff held up and kept us all dry and dancing the night away. Sheree checked in with my husband and I periodically through the night to keep us posted on the time, the weather, and to be sure we were happy - during cocktail hour she even met us with our fave drinks in hand, because she noticed we hadn't gotten to the bar yet! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and working with Sheree to anyone looking to get married in the Chicago area.

Outstanding service!! Staff was very professional & responsive. Venue was beautiful, everything we asked for and more. Monica Guzik was fantastic, she made everything seamless and painful. We just had our wedding reception at the Westin Northwest Chicago (Lakeside Pavilion) this past Saturday (9/30/17). I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Everything leading up to the wedding went super smoothly (communication, tastings, meetings, etc). They were also able to provide us with recommendations for vendors (florist, dj, uplighting, etc) who all worked out great.

The night of the reception went super smoothly. Everything was set up as we had talked about, the food was delicious, the bar service was great, and the physical space looked as we hoped it would. We received so many compliments from our guests. Also, the hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were really nice (and reasonably priced).

I would 100% recommend the Westin Northwest Chicago as a wedding reception location. Everything went perfectly and we are now left with incredible memories from the night.

Although I'm not married yet, the process so far has been amazing! My fiancé and I are working with Amanda and couldn't be happier! She is very responsive with emails and answering any questions we have had. This venue is amazing because you're getting the space and a day of coordinator that you can talk to about everything. Also, they provide a website for room block information, ceremony/reception information, and you can have guests RSVP on this website. Before we booked this venue, Amanda met with us to show us the space, go over the details, and get to know us to capture our vision. She also showed us a reception space fully set up so we can have an idea of what everything will look like on our special day. I have stayed at this hotel many times and I've always been a great experience. They just finished redoing the whole place. The rooms are updated, each ballroom was updated, they have new restaurants, and the whole lobby is new. It looks beautiful! We're so excited to get married here! Because we haven't had our big day yet, I'll be back to update after the wedding! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

The Westin Chicago Northwest was an absolute dream come true for my Husband and I! We Hosted our Ceremony and Reception here on 2/25/17 and both were perfect! Amanda was an absolute dream to work with, she made sure our big day was perfect down to the tiniest detail!! Truly above and beyond from everyone there. We highly recommend this venue!

I highly recommend the Westing Chicago Northwest in Itasca for weddings! I had my picture perfect wedding November 12, 2016 there in the grand ballroom.

From our first meeting, we were impressed with the bright and elegant atrium lobby. Amanda, our wedding coordinator was helpful and thorough. Throughout the planning process she was available to answer questions and accommodate all requests.

The atrium was perfect for a classy cocktail hour, the ballroom was a beautiful space for our reception and the rooms were newly updated and comfortable for all of our guests. The food was amazing - so many choices to offer guests, all of them delicious!

The night of the wedding, the Westin staff made sure we had everything we needed at a moments notice. The reception went smoothly and the staff was professional at all times.

My husband and I had our reception in the Lakeside Pavilion on Sept 3rd of this year and we could not be happier with our decision to book with the Westin. Amanda was so great to work with because she made sure to answer all my questions and responded very quickly to all of my emails. We dropped off favors and things to be displayed at the reception the week of and they were all set up exactly how I wanted them to be. On the day of, everything was PERFECT from beginning to end! The hair and makeup artists requested higher chairs for the morning of, so I called down and the staff asked how many I needed and they were brought up immediately. After our ceremony we came back to the Westin for pictures and the scenery looks great in all of our pictures. When I walked into the Pavilion for the first time I was overjoyed because it looked beautiful! All of my guests are still talking about how the food was delicious from beginning to end and how they never had to wait long for a drink at the bar. The staff was also amazing every moment of the night because they were constantly asking my husband and I if we needed anything and they were bringing us drinks, so we never had to go to the bar ourselves. Another thing that I really appreciated was that the food from cocktail hour was left on the head table since the bridal party was not at the cocktail hour for too long. I highly recommend the Lakeside Pavilion if you are looking for the tented look. The way it is draped and the surrounding water and trees make it so beautiful. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Thank you for making my wedding exactly what I had hoped it would be!

Westin was a great event space to work with! The Pavillion is absolutely beautiful that we decided to use it for the reception as well. The terrace was used for our cocktail hour at sunset and it was a hit! The staff and coordinators at the Westin are extremely accommodating and helpful! It was an absolute pleasure working with them! We can't say enough great things about the Westin! It's a definite must see when searching for a venue.

The Westin Chicago Northwest was the best possible location we could have chosen for our wedding reception. Our contact switched a few months prior to the wedding, and I could not have been happier with the service and quality we received from Amanda as she was adjusting to the position. She was able to answer all my questions quickly, and thoroughly went through the details of our contract making sure everything was ready for the big day. The day of the wedding, our guests enjoyed the lobby bar prior to the cocktail hour as well as the convenience of the hotel right there for post-wedding. We were able to rent a room for an "after-party" that was stocked with water and tables/chairs for our guests to continue hanging out! Amanda made sure that things ran smoothly and followed up with me a couple times during the day to make sure everything was running well - she was absolutely amazing to work with. Our reception was held in the tent, and we enjoyed the look of the tent and the unique option - everything was elegant, and the Westin staff did an excellent job setting up the decorations we provided to look amazing! The food was delicious, and I have heard nothing but great feedback about the dinner, appetizers, and venue in general. Would recommend this location to anyone!

We recently held my daughters wedding at the Westin. It was a great decision. We had the ceremony on the lawn, cocktails on the Terrace, and the reception in the Pavillion. It was described by our guests as "magical", "a fairy tale setting". The food was delicious, from appetizers to dessert, we had many compliments. Aileen was our coordinator. She was a joy to work with. Any of our requests were met quickly and pleasantly. Mary Ann was the person in charge of the dining room. We could not have been in better hands. She kept everything running smoothly and was very attentive to all of our needs. From our first encounter over one year ago, until check out 2 days after the wedding, everyone we dealt with at the Westin was gracious and accommodating. We would highly recommend the Westin to anyone planning a wedding or other special event.

My husband and I must have looked at 13 different venues before we found the Westin northwest. We had a two day fusion wedding Hindu/ Christian on Friday and Saturday. We were able to use the tent and the grand ballroom. Everything was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the service was great. The planning was fun and easy! I would give this 10 stars if I could!

We had the pleasure of working with Aileen at the Westin and she was amazing! We do not live in Chicago so all of our wedding planning was long distance, but we always felt at ease when we were planning with Aileen. We had an Indian wedding, so there were multiple events to plan and a lot of out of town guests to accommodate. Aileen was super organized and very knowledgable about special requirements we had for our Hindu ceremony. On the big day everything was perfect! We had our wedding in the pavilion and it was beautiful. The service was excellent and our friends and family were all impressed with how organized everything was and how smoothly the day went. We loved our experience at the Westin!!

BEAUTIFUL hotel! BEAUTIFUL tent! I worked with Samantha, she was great! They may be more expensive than other venues but it was worth it as it is a elegant venue. The up lighting in the tent is so amazing.

This venue for a wedding is amazing. We said our vows outside by the lake, under the willow tree, it was perfect. We had our wedding reception in the big white tent attached to the hotel, it was a perfect "indoor/outdoor" setting. The tent is climate controlled and has windows all around to take the outside in. The tent is next to the lake, with a beautiful patio for cocktail hour and for guests to enjoy all night. The guests enjoyed being able to take a break from the dance floor and go bring their cocktails out onto the patio to enjoy the moonlit lake. Out entire experience was wonderful. The catering manager was so detail oriented, she was on top of everything, I never had to worry about anything, because she always had answers for me and was able to point me in the right direction if I had a question. The staff working the day of the wedding was fantastic, they were always on top of everything and handled any issues we had, which there really weren't any since everything was planned perfectly. Everything went seamlessly from start to finish and I highly recommend this venue.

We worked with Samantha Bauman as our coordinator at the Westin. She was a true delight to work with. She was very professional, always responded to emails, questions, etc. If you had a questions she had an answer. Always was prepared for meeting sessions, food tasting, final walkthrough and event day. My Bride and I finished up pictures on the grounds and walked into the reception(Pavilion) to get our first look. Sam was at the door to greet us and had some of our passed hor'dourves waiting for us along with a cocktail. She asked us to take a look to make sure everything was as we wanted it and asked if we needed any changes made or had any other issues.. Working with Sam and the Westin was exactly how we pictured our wedding and really made all the difference in knowing that everything was taken care of. I highly recommend Samantha and the Westin for anyone who wants to have their wedding there.

Let us first start by complementing how helpful Samantha and her staff were since day 1. They were quick to respond with any questions or concerns I had and were always willing to accommodate our needs so that we were completely comfortable and satisfied. We cannot forget about how polite and attentive the staff was the day of our wedding! Everyone was so nice (including the front desk) and willing to help out with whatever we needed. I worked with Samantha Bauman for my Sons wedding which was held on March 28th, 2015 at the Westin Chicago Northwest.
We held the wedding at the Lakeside Pavilion. It was a perfect wedding in all areas.
The service was excellent, the room was beautiful and the food was outstanding.
Samantha kept everything very organized , and on the day of the wedding was there to make sure everything was perfect, which it was.
Family and friends could not say enough about how impressed they were, and it was one of the nicest Weddings they had even been to.

I am so happy I chose to have my wedding at the Westin! I saw probably 13 different venues before we made our decision, and before we even walked in the door we knew it was THE place. First of all, it is beautiful and perfect looking and could hold our huge wedding without feeling crammed. We booked with Samantha and began the planning process. I did not have a wedding planner so at times it was stressful. However Samantha was very quick to respond to my emails/questions whenever I had any and always had AWESOME recommendations for other vendors. Besides the fact that I didn't have an actual planner, I am not a person that had "a vision" of what I always imagined my wedding day to be, so I put a lot of faith into those that were helping me. Samantha and Patti from MDM Entertainment (the vendor Samantha recommended for DJ/decor) put together the most gorgeous room!! We were in shock when we saw how gorgeous the Grand Ballroom was that day. It was awesome to have my 2 big vendors work so closely together! Besides how smoothly the night went, and how beautiful the room and hotel was, the food was outstanding!! My number one priority was the food and alcohol and the Westin did not disappoint! Overall, we had a perfect night and I would definitely recommend the Westin.

The tent at the Westin made the perfect most beautiful backdrop for our wedding. Everything from start to finish was perfect, Samantha the wedding consultant was always available and answered all my questions promptly. Samantha made our day so wonderful down to every detail. The food we choose (chicken with a cranberry stuffing and eggplant) was so good, guests continue to remark about their plates. My parents had an issue with their suite not being ready on time and it was difficult since the parents of the bride were entering people in between in their room, my father spoke with Samantha very nicely and she comped the room for the trouble. Down to every last detail our reception was the best time we ever had. All because we choose the perfect venue that happened to come with amazingly talented people who enjoy their work and care about you wedding being perfect. Thank you Samantha!

My husband and I had the incredible pleasure of working with Samantha as our wedding planner, and simply put- she is the best. She was extremely responsive, every silly or important questions that I asked, she got me an answer within a day. It was so helpful, as planning a wedding is stressful enough, she made the process that much easier, truly could not have done it without her! She orchestrated everything and was at the reception the day of the wedding to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. One tiny little hiccup, and she had it fixed in a heartbeat. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful, she coordinated with our florist, DJ, and the linen vendor to make sure everyone was on the same page. You can tell she knows her stuff, and I can't rave about her enough. I only got married a few weeks ago, and have already had several friends tell me how beautiful the venue was that that's where they want to get married! It truly was a perfect evening, and the Westin pavilion is a gorgeous venue, my only complaint is I wish it didn't go by so fast!

Samantha was awesome to work with. Her professionalism, her responsiveness and her quality of service for the Ceremony and Reception was amazing. I would highly recommend the Westin for your wedding. It's an experience that I will never forget for the rest of my life... My husband and I are very happy that our wedding happened at the Westin in Itasca, IL...

My daughter got married at the Westin, and the Lakeside Pavilion is the perfect romantic setting for a wedding! Everything turned out even better than we expected, and everyone connected with the hotel was professional and helpful. Delicious food, fun party, blissful bride - what else could we ask for?

We held our daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception at the Westin Hotel last month. Every moment, every last detail exceeded our high expectations. Our catering manager Samantha was beyond wonderful. The Lakeside Pavilion was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the cake was sensational, the service was attentive. Sam worked with us throughout the planning process to guide us to the perfect wedding. Her keen knowledge, patience and attention to detail made our special day a dream come true. The accommodations for our overnight guests were wonderful, and the Front Desk staff very accommodating. Bride, Groom and Parents could not have been happier.

We had a beyond wonderful experience working with Samantha and the Westin! The food was delicious, facility was beautiful, the workers were fabulous. Every detail was was exactly what we wanted and we had nothing less than a perfect night.

Samantha was wonderful to work with. She helped us plan a perfect reception. Everyone raved about the decor (we were in the tent), food, staff, and overall feel of the evening! It was a fantastic venue.

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception this past weekend and I have to say we absolutely LOVED it! Working with Samantha was the best! She responded to us right away with every inquiry however minor it may have been and led us every step of the way! We never were in for any surprises! Even on the day of our event she was there checking on us making sure everything was running on schedule and connecting with my family to see if there was ever anything that we needed. We received so many compliments on the food and the wait staff, everyone from the front desk to maintenance deserves recognition for such a wonderful job! We will be back year after year to celebrate our anniversary!

Me and my husband just had our wedding here. First I'll start by saying our wedding coordinator Samantha was awesome! She walked us through every step of the planning process and made us feel completely comfortable with everything that was planned. She emailed and called me back right away, whenever I had any questions or concerns. She also made all the planning events fun! From the table set ups, to our tasting. ... Needless to say we LOVED her!! We had it in the lakeside pavilion which was absolutely gorgeous and such a different atmosphere than any regular banquet hall. The food was delicious and the portions are very generous! ! We've been getting compliments on every part of our special day and we wouldn't change a thing about it. We highly recommend this place to everyone looking for the perfect location for your perfect day :)

Excellent place to have an outdoor and indoor wedding. We had our ceremony outside and then the reception indoor. Beautiful scenary and great services.

Most astounding service ever! We needed a new place for our reception and the Westin Northwest was able to help us out and gave us a huge deal to go with it. Professionalism was a plus and they really went out of their way to make our wedding day so special. We are so glad we picked the Westin for our reception venue. The food was over the top and done well. A wonderful day of celebration done well by an amazing team.

We booked our wedding at the Westin Chicago Northwest and Samantha was our Catering Manager who helped us to plan our wedding at the Westin. Samantha was very attentive, professional and detailed oriented. During the year of planning she kept in contact, making sure we were on track and answered any questions we had. The week of the wedding she went through all of our decorations in detail and made sure everything was set up as we wanted for the reception. The wait staff was amazing, our drinks were never empty and the food was amazing! Even when we went off to talk to our guests the wait staff covered our meals to keep them warm. The night went very smoothly and we had a wonderful evening. I would definitely recommend having a wedding at this Westin!

All I can say is WOW !!! I rate this as a 10/5 !!! Samantha Bauman was incredible as the planner, Chef Mark, Mary Ann and the whole staff were awesome... the room set up in the Lakeside pavilion was fairy tale quality... everything was beyond my expectations... Thank You x 100 !!!

We actually had just the wedding reception there and it was absoultely perfect. It was a small reception and we were in the Lakeshore Room. The cocktail hour was in the main lobby and it was beautifully set up. I liked that we had a few tables, chairs and sofas for the guests to sit down on during the cocktail hour. I've been to some weddings where you had to stand the whole hour... The service during the reception was outstanding, everything was as planned, and on time. We heard tons of compliments form our guests about the food. Overall, we had a great experience planning our wedding reception at the Westin. Samantha was on top of everything and she made it easy for us. She was very professional and always available to answer any questions. She responds to e-mails right away. Thank you!!!

The Westin Chicago Northwest was the perfect venue for our wedding. The Pavillion Tent was beautiful for both the ceremony and reception, and the grounds were gorgeous with so many perfect places for photos. The majority of our guests were from out-of-town and many of them commented on the beautiful view from their rooms, as well as the affordable room prices. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner reception, and wedding brunch were all held at the Westin, so they didn't have to worry about leaving the venue. We also heard many compliments from our guests about the quality and taste of the food, from the hors d'oeuvres to the brunch and everything in between.

The entire Westin staff was warm, personable and friendly. We were never treated differently for being a same-sex couple. The staff showed respect and happiness for us, and made us feel so comfortable. We were never afraid to be ourselves. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Our wedding at the Westin was FANTASTIC!! Samantha was wonderful to work with very responsive and professional but relaxed at the same time. She and the westin staff took care of everything down to the smallest detail and were very flexible in terms of changes and last minute details. We had our wedding in the Lakeside pavillion which was an upgrade since no one had rented it that night. It was better than I could imagine and we did not stop getting compliments all night about the venue, the food, the service, the bar, etc. overall everything was great and it was a great value!!!

After thoroughly searching Chicagoland, we are very pleased to report of our exceptional wedding reception experience at the Westin in Itasca, IL (centrally located and near O’Hare) this month for our oldest daughter and son-in-law. Literally “from soup (the best ever) to nuts” (wedding cake) and all the courses in-between, the food was delicious, and the drinks were plentiful - with prompt, pleasant and professional service … almost doting! The pavilion and dance floor were comfortable and beautiful, as was the cocktail hour lobby and outdoor veranda, pond and fountain; and they provided spotlessly clean and nearby bathrooms for our guests’ convenience. The hotel rooms are top-drawer and an unbelievable value on a weekend. We continue to receive countless compliments from our family and friends on the entire venue experience which exceeded our lofty expectations. Extra special kudos to the doorman/valet Ben, (female) Sam at the front desk, Mary Ann the evening manager, and Samantha Bauman the wedding catering Manager!

Our wedding was held at the Pavilion tent a couple weeks ago. It was a day that dreams are made of; and alot of that is due to the incredible staff, especially Samantha and MaryAnn for all of their help in executing the best day ever for us! Samantha was wonderful to work from the moment we signed our contract to the day of our wedding. Samantha is easy to work with, knowledgeable, creative and willing to help out with any special requests. Samantha was prompt in returning phone calls and e-mails as well. The staff treated us & our guests like royalty and the food was delicious. The Westin exceeded all our expectations. :)

I would not have asked for anything more from the food to the service to the organization of how The Westin made our day so beautiful and everything someone could have dreamed. My husband and I got married there a couple of weeks ago and there was not one complaint from my attendees or myself. The food was excellent, the room was gorgeous with the white lining and the cocktail hour. This place was so affordable and classy. I wish I could do it all over again with the same guy of course!!!!

My husband and I booked the Westin a year in advance and had our wedding last weekend. The Westin was wonderful! Samantha answered all of my questions quickly. The hotel were flexible as questions can up throughout the planning process. Our hotel room was absolutely magnificent! We stayed there for 3 days. Our room was perfect. At the last minute, they had an extra room available and moved our cocktail hour from the lobby to a private room. The bellmen were super helpful always helping us carrying all of our belongings. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the price was great. We looked at 4 other venues and this was definitely the best place for the price and everything that it encompassed. I can honestly say I have nothing but positives things to say about our experience at the Westin.

The food was phenomenal and the service the same! They couldn't do enough to help.

We had our wedding in the tent on February 2, 2013. It was absolutely beautiful and working with Samantha was great. The whole day was wonderful and the food was delicious! Our guests had a great time and really loved staying at the hotel.

When my daughter first saw the Westin she imagined a day filled with joy and happiness. We first worked with Susan Johnson, who was promoted during our planning. She turned us over to Samantha Baumann, we were a little nervous at first but when we met with Samantha our fears left immediately. This past weekend was the wedding my daughter has always dreamed of. The facility was beautiful, warm and inviting. The event staff could not have been more pleasurable. The ceremony also hosted by the Westin was to take place outside. It had rained the previoyus two days and we were concerned about the conditions of the grounds. That proved to be unwarranted. We made the decision to be outside late morning of the date and everything was perfect! The Lakside Pavillion was absolutely stunningly setup. When my daughter and I walked through to the ceremony we had to stop and look around because we could not believe what a beautiful venue this was. The food was exceptional and I have received many compliments on the quality and menu. They helped with "special meals" that needed to be made and the dinner service was seemless. The constant prfessionals! The reception after dinner was fun and exciting and the Westin made sure every need was met. We could not be more happy we chose them and will recommend Samantha and her staff to all of our friends. So Samantha, for Kat and Spencer I thank you for helping their special day be a great one!!

My husband and I had our cocktail hour/wedding reception at the Westin and are so happy we chose this venue! Any time we had questions, or needed help, Susan and Samantha were very helpful and responsive. When we told them we needed to have our food tasting earlier then normal, they were very accommodating; not to mention that the food is phenomenal! It is definitely not your typical wedding meal; the food is more like something you would have at a fancy restaurant. We chose to give our guests the choice of Chicken Picatta, Medallion of tenderloin St George, or the Portobello Mushroom En Croute. Everyone loved their meals, and we even had a few guests say that it was the best meal they ever had. We also had the martini bar during cocktail hour, which was awesome, and so were the bar tenders. They kept up with the crowd and no one ever had to wait for their drink all night long during open bar. They worked with our florist and DJ to coordinate set-up and events during the reception, and my husband and I did not have to worry about anything; we were able to sit back and enjoy our wedding, which we hear is not typical. We were also able to sign up for a Starwood membership, which gave us points for every dollar spent, as well as points for each room our guests booked, which gave us enough points to go away for our 1 year anniversary! We would 100% recommend the Westin to anyone who wants to have a beautiful "easy-flowing" wedding.

This is a beautiful venue for my daughter's wedding. The wedding was outside on the lake next to the hotel. The dinner and reception were in the pavilion. All services, arrangements, set up, food and beverage, etc were perfect. The hotel provides prep/changing rooms for the wedding parties as well as a bridal suite for the newlyweds. The Westin reserved rooms for our out of town guests for about half the normal rate and were very accommodating when we needed more. Susan Johnson and then late, Samantha Bauman were very professional and took care of our every need. Overall pricing is about in the middle. There are less expensive places, but you can also spend much more.

The Westin Chicago Northwest is a great place to celebrate your wedding. My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Westin Chicago Northwest and our wedding went off flawlessly—it was everything we wanted it to be and more! We received so many compliments from our guests about the food (how delicious it was), the accommodations (how nice the rooms, pool, and path around the lake were) and how beautiful our ceremony and reception location was (we had ours in the lakeside pavilion). The Westin’s wedding coordinator (Susan) is great to work with! She paid excellent attention to all the details of our wedding weekend. She was able to accommodate our special requests even when several of them were last minute. Overall, we are very glad we chose the Westin over other venues we looked at for our wedding. We are very pleased with how everything turned out and have only happy memories from our wedding weekend!

This was the perfect place for my wedding. We were able to have the ceremony outdoors and it was beautiful. The tree and lake make a perfect setting. It was an easy transition for our guests directly into cocktail hour after the ceremony.

Samantha, our wedding coordinator, was amazing. She put in a lot of hard work to ensure we had an amazing day. Every time I talked to her my stress level went down and was reassured. She also took care of all the day of details, putting out decorations, programs, and making sure we got everything back.

The day was truly spectacular. Topped off with some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in our hotel room at the end of the night. It was great

We had the pleasure of working with Samantha. She was the best! She made the planning so easy and was so helpful! Cannot say enough good things about her bad the rest of the staff!!

We had a great experience for our 1/11/14 wedding! The Catering Manager (Samantha) was extremely helpful in planning the Big Day! We held both the ceremony and the reception at the Westin and we were very pleased with both! The Lakeside Pavilion was a beautiful venue. There is a terrace off the back that allowed for some great outdoor shots. And a staircase in the lobby where we had our "first look". The front desk staff was very accommodating when checking in and passing out "goodie bags" which we had made for our guests. The wait staff at the reception (led by Mary Ann) was superb.

I've never had a more wonderful day than our wedding day and the service level offered on the day of our wedding was above and beyond everything I could have hoped for. The server who took care of me, the groom, and our parents was so attentive and even showed up with water and a glass of wine as I stepped off of the dance floor for some quick breaks. He made sure my Dad had his favorite beer (which we were able to add to our package) and I had many comments from parents and guests on the extraordinary service that was felt. I am thankful to everyone at the Westin for making this day the most special one I've ever had!

The Westin was a great venue. It was awesome to have reception and ceremony all in the same place!

We held a variety of events for our wedding at the Westin - a mehndi party, a pre-wedding lunch, the wedding and reception, and the a morning-after brunch. Most of our attendees were out-of-town guests, and the situation worked perfectly, will well-appointed rooms. There was a snafu with some guest rooms, but the hotel responded quickly and professionally. Aileen was our event coordinator, and I LOVED working with her. She was calm, cool, collected, and knew her stuff. In addition, we had the wedding and reception in the Lakeside Pavillion, and it was magic - gorgeous with the sun coming in during the ceremony, and just sparkly with the candles for the reception. Wonderful stuff.

Stunning location - we had our reception in the tent and absolutely loved how it turned out! Plenty of space, delicious food, friendly staff. Monica was amazing to work with and always responded quickly to any questions I had. It was pretty expensive - we wished there was a way to create your own package rather than pick from the three the hotel offers - but overall we were very satisfied with the quality of the food/venue and would definitely recommend this space!

Aileen was amazing to work with. All the details are straightforward. They are used to doing weddings and handle everything smoothly. I had the reception and ceremony at the hotel and how everything came together was perfect and the movement from ceremony to cocktail to reception was flawless.

The Westin Chicago Northwest is a great place to book for a wedding! The Lakeside Pavilion is a beautiful space that gives you somewhat of a different look and feel than the typical average ballroom. The hotel was recently remodeled and is well worth the money for a wedding. Amanda is also great to work with!

The Westin is a BEAUTIFUL location to host a wedding. We had our reception in the tent ballroom and our cocktail hour out on the terrace and lawn. The staff at the Westin are all extremely professional and know exactly what they are doing to make your day special (and exactly how you envisioned it). Their on-site coordinators help make everything run smoothly the day of so that the bride and groom don't have to worry about a think. Our coordinator, Aileen, was extremely responsive when we had questions leading up to the wedding and did everything she could to make our day special. The food was AMAZING as well--people were complimenting the food all evening. We could not have asked for a better location to host our wedding!

The Westin Chicago Northwest was a perfect venue for our out of town guests and catered to our every request! We couldn't have asked for a better outcome and would recommend it to anyone looking to get married! First class all the way!

We are so happy we decided to have our wedding at the Westin Northwest, thanks to Samantha Bauman. She was nothing but helpful and friendly to us during every step of the process. We looked at several locations and nothing compares to the Westin Northwest. Everything from the table set up to the icing on the cake, was fantastic. Samantha truly pays much attention to the detail you are looking for. They really do everything they can to make you're day special. If you're looking for a place to have you're wedding start here, you'll need not go any further. You can count on that!!

I worked with both Susan and Samantha and they were so helpful and great to work with. I had both my Wedding Ceremony and Reception in the Lakeside Pavillion and the turnover of the room looked beautiful! The staff was extremely organized and responsive to our needs throughout the day and night. The food was spectacular and I have received so many compliments on how delicious it was. The Westin truly made my Wedding Day one that I will remember forever and it totally surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding...mine was truly magical.

Our wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Westin in Itasca and everything turned out perfectly. We were given an excellent room rate for our guests, which was important to us. The even coordinator at the time we signed the contract was superb (Susan) - very attentive, quick to respond, accommodating and very detailed. We did receive a new coordinator within 3 months of our wedding date (Samantha) but she was up to speed on all of our planning quickly and she ensured the event was executed exactly as we requested. The staff at the hotel - ranging from the bellman to the front desk to the servers at the reception - were superb. Everyone was very friendly and many of our guests told us how fantastic the service was. The food was excellent! The chef worked with us to create a special dish and fulfilled every request we had. We were supposed to have our wedding ceremony outside but the weather did not cooperate. We were able to have it inside and everyone thought it was even better than if it were outside. We would definitely recommend the Westin in Itasca to others for their wedding venue. The hotel is beautiful during the day and at night and the staff makes you feel like a valued guest. We had our reception in the pavillion tent and it was absolutely stunning. My husband was against this at first (we had to change rooms due to conflicts with other events) but it turned out to be fabulous.

I appreciated having this venue because it was a beautiful location.

A few things I was a bit dissappointed with:
-My wedding planner was Aileen. She was somewhat responsive, but after the wedding I had some questions, and she just did not respond. It left a bad taste in my mouth when I knew I wasn't getting responses after I had paid.
-Additionally, based on all of our conversations, I had assumed Aileen would be in attendance at the wedding to prevent any problems, but she would only slip in and slip out, and was constantly checking on the other (more lavish) wedding that was occurring. I need you to be clear whether or not you will actually be there the entire time.
-The tent gets incredibly dark by the night time. We had 10 uplights but the tent still felt like a smoking room. This was an issue.
-There was no provided sound system for the outdoor ceremony location. This proved to be somewhat stressful, and almost all of the other venues I had looked at had this feature.
-The tent got INCREDIBLY cold at night, and it was an August night. I think they put the AC up too high and everybody was shivering.

-Overall, if I had had a more attentive wedding planner, I don't think I would have had as many complaints. It was a nice location, I just wish I had a planner to talk to when issues arose at the wedding.

We had a rollercoaster ride with the Westin. Here is my only piece of advice: GET EVERYTHING YOU WANT IN WRITING!!!!!! Our wedding was in March so we were told that there would be plenty of rooms available for our guests. We were also promised an "after party" conference room so our guests would have some place to go after the reception.

A few months before our wedding a guest tried to book a room and was told that the hotel was sold out. We found out that a Rotary Club booked an event at the hotel and booked all of the remaining rooms in the entire hotel. Since our contract only promised 25 rooms, our remaining guests were out of luck.

The Rotary Club also booked all of the conference rooms, so the "after party" room wasn't available anymore. We should have added those 2 things to our original contract, but since we were "promised" them, we didn't do it.

Our wedding day turned out to be beautiful and the Westin did a great job setting everything up. They even closed down the lobby bar for our cocktail hour. Those few weeks before hand were very stressful, with trying to find rooms for our guests at another hotel, but everything worked out.

The tent is a gorgeous wedding venue, and I was told from guests that our food was better than any other wedding they had ever been to. Susan Johnson responds to e-mails very quickly, but should not "promise" things without writing them in the contract.

I’ll start by saying the day of coordinator was excellent in responding to my brides concerns leading up to the wedding. This venue is beautiful and with our guest list of about 218 it had ample space. The day of I was to check in for a changing room which is provided for the bridal party, however the front desk had no record of this., mind you I was carrying my tux with my groomsman and his tux!? A 10 minute wait and I was provided with a room key, in the elevator I bumped into my photographer ( Jolie images amazing) she told me that she called this venue and was informed that they had no wedding scheduled!? Our day of coordinator did not inform us of any of the days events. I didn’t know when my pastor arrived, nor did I know when my bride was downstairs with the photographer. Good thing my mom and photographer helped to coordinate for us. My Dj was not readily provided with the outside location for his mic hook or on inside the tent for his up lighting., but he figured it out. We were no told when the florist or linen vender was on location either., they contacted us indepentley to check in with any concerns. They informed my mother in law that they would not make her a chocolate martini, not a single one! This venue isn’t cheap and we didn’t skimp out on the alcohol package., but weren’t spending an extra 1200/hr so they’d make a martini. It should be also be known that a room key is needed to use the elevator., so venders, wedding party members not staying can go up and down the elevators freely unless you share room keys with them., this was a hassle for bridesmaids not spending the night as well as our photographer.

For what the Westin Northwest offers in beauty, it severely lacks in communication, follow through, and service. We were beyond disappointed in the quality of service provided by the Westin. We would not recommend this venue to any other LGBT couple or straight couple.

While the property is beautiful and the rooms updated, there are a number of reasons for this 1 star review and I will highlight below. But first and foremost- wedding groups take caution.
After booking and preparing for our wedding in Itasca Illinois, my now husband and I decided to use the Westin Chicago Northwest for our wedding block. They had a beautiful property and a very helpful 50% commit rate (nearly every other hotel in the area was 80% commit). We met with Maral Abrahamian, Sales Account Manager, to set up the details of our block. Maral was warm, inviting and helpful when working with us to finalize our contract. We had many out of town guests and knew for certain we would need (at minimum) 60-70 rooms for our block. Maral suggested starting with less rooms because she did not want us to be struck with a financial burden should something occur with our guest estimates being lower. We took this as a kind gesture. She assured us numerous times that there would be NO issues in adding rooms ad-hoc as we needed them. We started with 30 rooms.
Within 4 days of our invites being sent out (highlighting the Westin as our arranged hotel) the rooms were filled. I worked with our coordinator Audrey Bach. She was dismissive, unresponsive and short with me. We received notice that we could not add any more rooms...completely going against what we were assured during our contract signing with Maral.
We received email after email about how this was never promised to us, we could not get more rooms and I was being an "irrational bride" . She referred to me as "sweetie" "honey" and was extremely rude and patronizing. Her director, Dianne Howard, was then involved. After much back and forth (and my mother in-law getting involved) we were able to get about 10-15 more rooms. I still had to go to the Holiday Inn to add a second block to accommodate our guests (they were AMAZING by the way).
My husband went into the property to speak with Maral mid all of this occurring and he overheard her tell the front desk to "tell him I am in a meeting". She never responded to any of his emails and no apology or admittance of wrongdoing was ever articulated to us.
We understand now that the BMW Golf Tournament Championship was being help THE SAME weekend at Medinah and the Westin could charge 4x for the rooms that the price in which was agreed upon in our block. We understand that business is business and profit is profit. However, our overall experience, lack of customer experience and inability to receive any sort of follow up after the event from the staff will prevent me from saying anything positive about the Westin Chicago Northwest.
Lastly, the hotel bartender was rude to our guests and refused service to a few people. I understood that it was up to her discretion on who to serve and later in the evening I personally went to apologize to her. She was dismissive and frankly extremely rude to me as well. She rolled her eyes at me and mocked our guests/me.
I hope someone sees this and acts with caution before setting up any group blocks with this property. Make sure you do not let them sway you and get EVERYTHING in writing.
