  Excellent florist for wedding - friendly, prompt, and beautiful designs

  We hired Westgate to be the florist for our wedding and they did an absolutely marvelous job. Based on a few conversations and example pictures, they put together a beautiful collection of flowers and colors for our ceremony and reception. On the actual wedding day, they delivered and set up all the flowers exactly on time. It was a pleasure to interact with them throughout the entire process. Of all the florists we spoke to, they were by far the most friendly and happy to work with our requests and (relatively short) timeline without being pushy or judgemental. We recommend them very highly!

  We hired Westgate to be the florist for our wedding and they did an absolutely marvelous job.   Highly recommend!!

  I had an amazing experience with Westgate for our wedding! Emma is awesome! We were planning the wedding from NYC and Emma was so accommodating by meeting a couple times via video. She is super knowledgeable and helped us achieve the look we were going for in the most cost effective way and was patient through all my indecision. She even popped in to say hi (making sure it was okay ahead of time) on my wedding day when delivering the bouquets. She was also willing to work with us in last minute plans the day before our wedding when the weather changed for the worse and it looked like the ceremony would have to be inside instead of outside as planned. Could not recommend Westgate and Emma more! Such gorgeous and durable flowers! 😍 Thank you Westgate for helping our wedding be so beautiful and making the process so smooth!

  Above and beyond our expectations!!!!

  We we're lucky enough to have Westgate do the flowers for our small outdoor ceremony Sept 2020. Every piece was breath taking! Adam helped us make choices and re-created exactly what we discussed...but so much more beautiful than we could have imagined! I can't thank them enough for transforming our space into wedding dream!!! And almost 2 weeks later, my goregous bouquet is still alive in a vase as a lovely reminder!!

  Beautiful flowers!

  Westgate flowers was amazing to work with! They worked with us through multiple covid-related reschedulings without issue, and they helped us switch our original spring plans to a more seasonally appropriate fall plan without having to redo our whole color scheme. Flowers were delivered in excellent condition to our venue, and everything looked beautiful. All the flowers held up well throughout the evening, and several guests were caught stealing some of the flowers in the centerpieces at the end of the night! I would definitely recommend them!

  Amazing service & flowers

  Paul, Adam, and everyone at Westgate were amazing to work with. After reading several reviews and browsing online for a wedding florist, I called to make an appointment. We sat down, discussed what I had in mind, and flipped through binders of pictures. They were quick to send a quote, which they quickly adjusted based on my questions and changes. The pricing was reasonable and the quality was amazing. I basically looked at a picture from their prior work and was like I want exactly that but with sunflowers. I wish I had a picture of the large mantle piece that they created or the corsages, however I do have pictures of my bouquet, the table pieces, and the vases for the ceremony. I sent them a picture of the small bottles that I wanted to use, they asked for dimensions, and quickly emailed me a mockup for the tables. Days before the ceremony I realized I didn't have a vase for my bouquet for after the ceremony and they made sure to bring one. The delivery was on time and they worked well with the caterer and staff to set everything up.

  Simply beautiful!

  I didn’t know exactly which types of flowers I wanted for my wedding day, but I had a very specific feel and color scheme in mind, and Paul absolutely delivered. The florals were all gorgeous, the communication was there throughout the planning up until the wedding day, and the pricing was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!!

  Gorgeous Flower Arrangements!

  Westgate Flower and Plant Shop in Oak Park, Illinois created the gorgeous flower arrangements for my 1920’s Chicago themed wedding in December. After several productive meetings with Paul, our design coordinator, my Mom and I were excited about the custom flower design for the special day. Paul listened to our vision, suggested ideas, and showed us actual pictures of some of the other weddings he had done at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago and the First Methodist Church, our venue locations. This helped us tremendously to see the actual space as we planned together. Paul was so knowledgeable about different plant types and what arrangements would work best to create the vintage theme that we wanted. The flowers were perfect from the long-stemmed calla lilies that the bridesmaids carried, the mini calla boutonnieres with peacock feather accents for the groomsmen to dainty halos and rose petals for the flower girls. One of my Mom's
  favorite memories of the reception were the stunning flower arrangements that decorated the elegant ballroom. Our wedding coordinator told us that the florist returned to his shop after setting up the ballroom to bring additional flowers back for the head table to make it “Just Perfect.” Thank you, Paul, for your attention to detail and your talent for creating such beautiful blooms for our wedding!

  Our wedding decor was stunning!

  We knew within 10 minutes of meeting Paul that we needed to hire him for our wedding flowers, and he totally delivered on our wedding day. Every aspect of our wedding decor that he touched was stunning and exactly what we wanted. The bouquets, the chuppah, the centerpieces, the lighting, the rose petals on the placecard table and aisle, the candles on the tables, even the fragrant garden smell as you walked into the room - it was all absolutely perfect and so elegant. We have gotten countless compliments on how gorgeous our ceremony / reception were. Thank you Paul / Westgate!

  Westgate flowers did an amazing job with our daughter's wedding and reception. The beautiful chuppah with white flowers and greenery was sophisticated and elegant. The flowers for the cocktail hour and dinner centerpieces were beautiful and colorful. Our daughter had a vision, and Paul worked with her to realize that vision to perfection. There were some aspects we were less certain what we wanted, for example we wanted something for the bar area, I wasn't sure what we needed but I didn't want the bar to look bare. Paul new exactly what to do and made beautiful tall vased arrangements that were perfect for the space. Paul was easy to work with and the prices were reasonable.

  Words cannot describe how happy I was with the floral arrangements Weddings by Westgate Flowers did for my wedding on September 1st. Everything looked absolutely BREATHTAKING. The flowers were exactly as I envisioned and as I described to Paul in our pre-wedding meetings. The colors and quality of the flowers were amazing. From the moment we booked with Westgate Flowers we knew we were not going to be disappointed. Paul was so great to meet with and listened to exactly what I was envisioning. I pulled up a few things on Pinterest and he quickly learned exactly what I wanted. He even went to get sample flowers and showed me what he was thinking. We met 2 separate times and he couldn't have been more friendly. The bridal bouquets were STUNNING, and the corsages and boutonnieres were gorgeous. They brought everything on time and set it up exactly how I wanted it. I still have the extra flowers in my house and they look almost as beautiful as they did on the day of the wedding. The 2 large arrangements were the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I have received so many compliments from many people about how gorgeous everything was. I will definitely be recommending Westgate Flowers to everyone I know. THANK YOU!

  Westgate has always been my local go-to flower shop. They provide beautiful floral arrangements at a great price. When it came time for my wedding, Paul worked with us to make my dream a reality. When I told them I wanted a wood arbor for the outdoor ceremony, they were more than willing to make us one. Not only did they build and set up an amazing arbor for us, it was beautifully decorated and overflowing with flowers. I can’t wait for our professional photos to come back so I can keep starring at the arbor! I was truly amazed.
  
  We had a couple last minute additions and they were more than accommodating. For the centerpieces, I knew I wanted a vase (not a rental) so that family members could take the flowers home at the end of the evening. I also didn’t want to use a standard clear vase. Paul recommended a gold container that was in our budget and really stood out on the tables. Everything exceeded our expectations.

  Paul and his team did an outstanding job for our November 19th wedding at the Newberry Library. Westgate had come highly recommended by a friend and we jumped at the chance at using him. Paul is a true professional and knows the flower biz. He is kind, patient, and has great taste. Our bouquets, corsages, and table arrangements came out just gorgeous. Many guests came to compliment us during the reception. He and his team built our chuppah from scratch! We also used Westgate for our rehearsal dinner flowers too and they also came our just perfect. We can't wait to use Westgate and Paul again very soon!!

Paul is a true professional and knows the flower biz. He is kind, patient, and has great taste. Our bouquets, corsages, and table arrangements came out just gorgeous. Many guests came to compliment us during the reception. He and his team built our chuppah from scratch! We also used Westgate for our rehearsal dinner flowers too and they also came our just perfect. We can't wait to use Westgate and Paul again very soon!!

  We were 100% pleased with our flowers from Westgate and they made our wedding day perfect! We loved working with Paul and he took our visions and brought them to life. We appreciated working with a local company and the services they provided were impeccable. I especially appreciated the last minute changes we made due to the number of guests and how quickly and seamlessly the changes went through. In addition, when the flowers were delivered to us on the wedding day it was evident that care, precision, and pride was taken when preparing all the arrangements.   I used Westgate flowers for my wedding on September 3rd, 2016 at Bobak's Signature Events in Woodridge, IL. They made my bouquet, the bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres for the men, arrangements for the reception tables, and they decorated the terrace for my outdoor ceremony. They also provided some flowers to decorate my cake. The flowers were beautiful, perfectly arranged and exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend for any event, especially a wedding.

We met with a lot of florists before him: many of them tried to sell us the big dream with rainbows and butterflies only to hand us a giant bill that would've sullied the beautiful experience. Paul was different from the start: he listened, worked with us to maintain our budget, and put his own creative spin on things when asked to. He is a true professional, delivering what we explicitly and implicitly hoped for. A little example: Due to our budget, our decor was simple for the most part, except for the arbor under which we married. This floral arbor was left to Paul's creative choices and the result was absolutely magnificent - more perfect than we could've imagined. I can't stop staring at the pictures we took of it.   My wedding was 9/26/15 and everything was beautifully done. Paul was very responsive and worked hard to get us everything we wanted for a reasonable price. The bouquets and boutonnieres turned out great and the ceremony and reception flowers were perfect. They were able to deliver the personal flowers to our hotel prior to going to our ceremony site/venue so we were very pleased with that. I would definitely recommend Westgate Flowers to anyone.

  Paul is very professional and knowledgeable. He took all the responsible upon himself and we were worry free. It was done better than we would have imagine. The flowers he had recommended matched perfectly with our theme. Our wedding was really bloomimg because of him. We received many compliments from our guests.
