Delicious cake with top service
West Town Bakery was a fantastic cake vendor. Samantha, our pastry chef, was so accommodating from start to finish. Not only did she rise to the challenge of creating a whimsical wedding cake for me but the cake itself was also moist and delicious. My wedding was 2 weeks ago and I'm still getting compliments about how good the cake was. My husband and I plan to visit the bakery sometime to order another cake. Absolutely great service.

User2518765 Sent on 01/26/2016Amazing wedding cake! From the moment we started our tasting, Aimee was extremely accommodating and helpful. We ended up with a three tier cake plus an extra sheet cake for serving. We had trouble deciding on what flavors we liked, so we were able to have three completely different tiers! Aimee also helped us with a dessert tray that everyone loved. Our guests commented on how great the cake tasted - it was fresh and perfect! -

User1146420 Sent on 04/28/2013When we found ourselves in an emergency situation when our prepaid cake vendor skipped town, West Town came through to make sure we were taken care of. They not only made a beautiful (though nontraditional) cake, it was also delicious and gluten-free to accomodate the bride! We are STILL receiving compliments! To take their accommodation a step forward, they even significantly reduced the price because of our financial loss with our previous baker. -

Prior to our tasting I had given our "two selections" we had in mind after going through their cake options online. I went in thinking we would be trying two cakes. The day of, Samantha (the head pastry chef) and Katie led us to an amazing setup of FIVE separate cake flavors, FOUR jams, and FOUR different frostings.Truth be told it was overwhelming...we ended up trying some strange combinations like carrot cake and lemon curd/red velvet and raspberry jam..and while the cake and fillings were all outstanding on their own, we had a hard time envisioning the combinations being served in bulk to our guests and our wedding cake being a carrot cake.
Outside of flavor, the team seemed very flexible in terms of # of tiers, sheet cakes, and design and I forgot to mention they included sweets in our tasting (the chocolate bacon, chocolate covered Oreo, and pecan shortbread bar were the standouts). If you're looking for simple flavors, flexible and passionate staff, or building a sweet table with a punch, look no further. But if more complex flavors like chocolate banana mousse or raspberry buttercream this is likely not the place for you. -

To add to that, the cupcakes were delicious! The guests loved that we had all kinds of different flavors. We loved that the look was simple, modern, unconventional and totally us. West Town was easy to work with and accomodated us well in every area. Thanks West Town! See you for brunch soon! -

I got my wedding cake from West Town Bakery, and they absolutely killed it!
We had two flavors: chocolate cake with chocolate filling and vanilla cake with caramel filling. Both were amazing in the tasting as well as day-of! And while West Town Bakery had a more limited selection than other bakeries we considered, their taste was superior. Another important factor for us: these guys can do a completely gluten free wedding cake! Of the five different places we tasted with, West Town's gluten free cake was the best, hands down. It was soft, spongey perfection, and no one at the wedding could tell it was gluten free.
There was a pretty lengthy wait time to get in for a tasting, and it was a little annoying that you could only pay the deposit/balance over the phone (calling at specific hours). But nonetheless, we loved our wedding cake, and so did our guests! My husband's #1 wedding day regret? "Not getting to eat more of the cake." -

Per the title, we were highly disappointed with our wedding cake. It was NOT white and the vanilla interior looked burnt / dark. The flavor was off, didn't quiet taste like vanilla either. I was very detailed in the design I requested as well. The polka dots did not match the google doc provided with notes. Prior to signing the contract, I asked if they can have it added for reference so no mistakes would be made. I was told they couldn't do that, but was assured it would be fine.
When I reached out originally, we did not receive an appropriate response. I asked to speak to management and haven't heard anything back in over a week. As a small business owner, I couldn't imagine not responding to an upset customer.
