Wedgwood Country Club Reviews

We held our daughter's Sweet 16 party at the Wedgwood Country Club this February, and our older daughter's Sweet 16 party November of 2010. Both had guests of approx. 90 people. Each party was held in a different room...one in the main ballroom and the other a beautiful room on the second floor. Both parties were amazing! The food choices for a sweet 16 party was wonderful, included in the price was also an ice cream bar, soda bar, and a cake. The value for what we got was great! The managers that we delt with to book, and prepare the party were wonderful. The staff at each party were as equally wonderful and great to work with! They WCC was very accomodating with all of my requests as well. All of our guests raved about the venue, food, and overall great time at both parties! I would highly recommend the Wedgwood Country Club for any formal affair!

Using Wedgwood country club catering was by far the best decision I made for my wedding. Ed could not have been more helpful, accommodating, and efficient! We opted for a buffet package, and Ed was so flexible in allowing us to tailor the package to meet our needs. Because our venue was a good distance from Turnersville we opted to use a local florist and bakery, but we did use Steve and Company for our DJ, and they were great! We created playlists and do-not-play lists online, and spoke and exchanged a few emails with our DJ the week of the wedding, and everything went perfectly. Pretty much every other aspect of wedding planning was stressful and fraught with obstacles and complications, and Ed made everything so easy. It was such a relief when I was at the height of wedding-planning craziness to talk to Ed and have him tell me "Don't worry about it, it's taken care of."

I could go on and on about the service, but that is by no means the only thing that makes them worth recommending. The prices are very reasonable, and they are very willing to adjust the packages to meet your needs and budget. You get SO much for your money - TONS of delicious appetizers, entrees, and sides, desserts, drinks, mixers, garnishes, linens, and all the china, silverware, glassware, etc., an AWESOME DJ, very friendly, capable, and professional servers and bartenders. I really could not have been happier, and would recommend Ed and his staff to anyone!

I have absolutely no complaints about Wedgwood. Ed is so easy to work with and is very flexible with pricing. I was initially impressed with the packaged deals he offered. The cake, DJ, and centerpieces were included in the package: The bakery included- Country Sweets in Woodbury was very good. I was 100% happy with it. We went to the bakery and picked out everything we wanted and it was all included in the package deal. The DJ included- Steve and Company- great DJ service. Was so easy to submit a playlist (and a "do not play list") and most of the planning for the DJ was online. Although we could have met up, it was not necessary and was very simple to plan everything. He also played music outside for my ceremony. Everything was traditional and just how i wanted it. He then promptly set everything up inside for the reception. One of the florists included- We used Sunrise Florist in Blackwood since my family has used them before for other occasions. They are amazing there as well. Phyllis is so sweet and accommodating. I was more than happy with the centerpieces and ceremony flowers. The bouquets and ceremony flowers are not included in the package with Wedgwood but the prices are very reasonable.

And back to reviewing Wedgwood- The ceremony was supposed to be held outside in the far back in grass next to the golf course. About a week before they finished a patio and Ed suggested having the ceremony there instead (he would've set up either spot for the ceremony).. we chose to use the patio since it was closer for our guests and we thought the scenery was nicer. I'm so happy with how the ceremony turned out. Everything was beautiful. Then the guests went inside for the cocktails and I heard one of my guests thought the appetizers were the meal! The food and drinks kept flowing! Then we had our entrance into the grand ballroom which is beautiful. The servers were very professional and everything was served quickly. bottom line: EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.

Wedgwood Country Club was so much more than just my 'caterer'. Mr. Ed was so incredibly helpful and supportive and accommodating. I was planning my wedding from out of town and only met Mr. Ed once at which time he laid out every option I had, all the prices, gave me peace of mind, and didn't try to persuade me to do anything. He worked with me from states away through email and catered to my every whim. From set up and running errands to linens and tables to entrees and a full bar, he was there every step of the way. The wedding was offsite, and he came days before to help with set up. He offered a tasting for any family that I had in the area since I couldn't make it, worked with my budget and still provided everything I wanted. I can't say enough about how wonderful he and his entire staff were to work with. His staff were professional, but obviously happy to be a part of my special day. They had the best attitudes and worked tirelessly making sure every one of my 200 guests was pleased. I would love to work with Wedgwood again, and plan to!

Our reception went extremely smooth! All of the food was brough out in a timely manner and everyone raved about how good the food was. Everything that was supposed to come out cold did and everything that was supposed to come out hot came out hot. The service was tremendous as well. All of the waitstaff did a terrific job and was very professional. Wedgwood was very reasonable with our budgets as well. Everything was worth every penny. If you're looking to not spend an extraordinary amount of money yet still have delicious food and professional service, Wedgwood Country Club is the way to go! I would absolutely recommend them to any other bride.

I do not know if we could have found a more helpful and accomadating banquet manager. Ed was fantastic. He was one of the few people we talked to in our search for a venue that made us feel like we were doing him a favor by have our wedding there. We had a winter wedding and he made it worth our while financially to do so. There are many positive points to Wedgwood Country Club. There is only one banquet room. As a result, your party has the run of the whole place. The package plan included a sit down dinner, fresh floral centerpieces, dj, cake and open bar. We only had to look for one additional vendor. That was our photographer. If you are looking for a venue that is an overall good value, includes a package (makes planning so much easier) and has someone who can guide you through the whole process, Wedgwood is your place.

I honestly with there were more stars to give Ed and this amazing country club. From day one, Ed (venue coordinator) was super respsonsive and easy going. He made the entire experience easy and so much fun. Our day was a dream come true. The price for the quality is a bargain. We are getting so many compliments on the food, staff and how beautiful & clean the venue was. Thank you Ed & Wedgwood Country Club for making our dream come true.

I could not say enough wonderful things about Wedgwood Country Club! The packages were so complete (centerpieces, DJ, and cake included!) and reasonable. They provided so much food in each package, and the food was outstanding! The interior was so beautiful that we did not need to have many decorations. Service was fantastic as well. Ed, the banquet manager, met with us as many times as needed to ensure we were comfortable with everything He made the planning of the entire wedding incredibly easy, and I did not stress over anything once for the entire planning process. It was exactly the wedding we pictured!

We just had our wedding reception at the Wedgwood country club! I want to thank the staff for being so great! Deb & Genie are great at what they do! The bartender was fabulous! Food was great, we did a buffet and had the prime rib carving station. The champagne was out of this world! Cant say enough good things. The dj that was recommended was Steven and company. They actually did my parents wedding 23 years agi. Dj was Greg Cirillo. Did a great job! Very pleased with the Wedgwood country club!!!!!
